Voter Registration Fraud DOES Lead to Voter Fraud
Posted by: Amanda Carpenter at 8:35 AM

The liberals defending ACORN's fraudulent voter registration efforts have said again and again voter registration fraud doesn't lead to voter fraud.

Well, we didn't have to wait till Election Day to find out they're wrong.

The Associated Press reported Friday that the New Mexico GOP found 28 people who voted fraudulently in Albuquerque during the June Democratic primary by absentee ballot. One of the ballots was cast from someone named "Duran-Duran"

The GOP's review was conducted in House District 13 and only included 92 ballots. That means roughly a third of the ballots examined were fraudulent.

“This is a bombshell. We now have undeniable proof that a significant number of fraudulent voters were cast in Democrat primary races for the New Mexico state legislature as a result of ACORN’s voter registration fraud,” said State Representative Justine Fox Young (R.-Albuquerque). “No longer can ACORN argue that their phony voter registration forms don’t translate into fraudulent votes. They do and today we can prove it.”

Conservatives are calling on Congress to defund ACORN of their federal funding. With increasing evidence ACORN is involved in voter registration fraud and voter fraud, as shown in Albuquerque, it become more important ACORN be stripped of their federal assistance.

The ACORN office in Albuquerque has been a beneficiary of generous federal tax dollars. Information from House Minority Leader John Boehner's (R.-Ohio) office shows that Albuquerque's ACORN branch has received $349,253 in federal tax dollars since 1998.

ACORN fraud will cost taxpayers countless more dollars, in Albuquerque and elsewhere, as local election officials are forced to spend hundreds of hours investigating the thousands of fraudulent voter applications ACORN has submitted across the nation.

The FBI launched a nationwide investigation against ACORN Wednesday.

Pollster asking a Democrat......"Who are you going to vote for for President?" answer: "What Presidential election?"
Pollster again......"You know, the election on November 4th". Dem. answer: "Oh that one......I thought that we were voting on "The Next American Idol"....."I'm voting Barack Obama of course!"

"A reasonable person would assume the Dems are trying to steal the election via voter fraud using ACORN and its subsidiaries which are all left wing/Dem support groups."

Yes, a reasonable person--who is currently hiding in his basement so the black helicopters won't get him.

Sorry, it's a conspiracy theory, plain and simple. Anyone with a master plan wouldn't be registering 'Mickey Mouse.' The obviousness of these fraudulent registrations is the best evidence that there's no conspiracy. A 'Jim Smith' registration is more likely to be truly nefarious than 'Mickey Mouse.'

I see your point, but facts are facts and the Dems have a long history of voter fraud. Right now there are 200,000 'suspect' new voter registrations that the Sec. of State of Ohio is deliberately sitting on and so far has refused to follow the law requiring her to vet these new registrants. What about the Mickey Mouse registration in FL or the Dallas Cowboys out in Nevada. Acorn and their subsidiaries have been registering voters illegally since at least 2000. If it looks like a duck, etc.

Remember the 2000 election? The Dems tried to steal the election, but the Reps stole it back. LOL- only kidding about the Reps. I would bet that not 100% of the new registrations are faudulent, but I would NOT bet that the majority are legitimate. A reasonable person would assume the Dems are trying to steal the election via voter fraud using ACORN and its subsidiaries which are all left wing/Dem support groups.

don't you?
animalgirl writes: Friday, October, 17, 2008 11:25 AM
A little more
For example, could there be someone in New Mexico whose last name is Duran, and the person entering registration information accidentally entered their last name in both boxes? Or, as I said, maybe their name actually is Duran Duran? (Shoot, I've known a Matthew Matthews, a Richard Richards, and even a Donald Duck).

Before freaking out, it's important to know the facts. I know nothing about the methodology of this group, which is claiming to have found 32 fraudulent votes. Without assessing their cross-checking methodology, their data is useless.

I'm not defending the indefensible. I'm saying that the said 'indefensible' has not be very well defined.

How is 'suspect' voter defined? Have they double-checked these supposed 'suspect' voters to see if the only problem is a typo or a middle name (instead of the middle initial). Are these people coming back as no-matches because the DMV record says they live on Main Street and their registration says they live on Main St.? As I said, according to many criteria, Joe the Plumber is a suspect voter, since his name on the registration was misspelled.

Also, how current are their cross-check databases? I have a co-worker who just became a citizen this April. The state of Georgia has sent him three letters (he has responded to each) asking for him to prove his citizenship, because their information isn't current.

Voter fraud is appalling. I think those guilty of voter fraud should be prosecuted. I am just not convinced that the voter fraud exists.

Even the example in this post--there was a voter named Duran-Duran...was this group partly identifying people based on funny names? Are they sure Duran-Duran doesn't exist? Last I checked, there was no law barring people with funny names from voting.
ScarletPimpernel writes: Friday, October, 17, 2008 11:14 AM
oops, apparently
I forgot the "it's only a technicality that lawbreaking is going on - no big deal" argument. Thanks Animalgirl. I guess life is easier when you have low standards.

IPSO FACTO
Of course it does. By their logic driving while drunk does not lead to auto accidents or gasoline combined with a lit match does not create fire. Libs are so dishonest. LOL

Wow, you finally got it right! Congratulations! I'm sure you just stumbled onto the truth, though, so don't get a big head or anything.
animalgirl writes: Friday, October, 17, 2008 10:47 AM
I would like to know
What procedure the office used to identify the 'suspect' votes. In Georgia, the state identified two million registered voters as 'suspect'--some for issues as minor as having a spelled-out middle name on their registration, but not on their driver's license. Most of the rest have been typos in addresses or names.

Shoot, 'Joe the Plumber' would be identified as a suspect voter, since the name on his registration was misspelled, and so would have come back as a no-match against a DMV or SS database.

People are actually making this argument, that somehow voter registration fraud doesn't lead to voter fraud? Are these people...educated? Like...past sixth grade? Or are they so wrapped up in an "us vs. them" mentality that they don't realize how utterly stupid they sound, not to mention that they're trying to subvert our democracy.
ScarletPimpernel writes: Friday, October, 17, 2008 10:23 AM
no big deal
Now the Dem/libs will switch the argument to "it's only 28 people outta how many? C'mon..."

OR

"The bad weepubwicans made us do it!"
