"I founded Creators Syndicate in 1987, and we have represented hundreds of important writers, syndicating their columns to newspapers and Web sites around the world. The most famous include Hillary Clinton, who..."
Have you been to Creators Syndicate's web site? For every liberal there are ten conservatives, including some far-right characters like Joseph Farrah. Very funny that the first one he mentions is Hillary Clinton, who has never had a regular syndicated column. |
|
"I guess my point is this most of us are not feeling any pinch of anything."
That's correct----you are just another example of narcissist. The world revolves around YOU. If you are not "feeling" something directly, it must not be happening to anyone else around you.
The attached article next to this post----from today's Wall Street Journal tells of an entirely different story. One from an entrepreneur. I would trust his perspective before yours----his is one of a reality based opinion.

This from today's Wall Street Journal.

An excerpt:
"By RICK NEWCOMBE Los Angeles
If New Yorkers fantasize that doing business here in Los Angeles would be less of a headache, forget about it. This city is fast becoming a job-killing machine. It's no accident the unemployment rate is a frightening 11.4% and climbing.
I never could have imagined that, after living here for more than three decades, I would be filing a lawsuit against my beloved Los Angeles and making plans for my company, Creators Syndicate, to move elsewhere.
But we have no choice. The city's bureaucrats rival Stalin's apparatchiks in issuing decrees, rescinding them, and then punishing citizens for having followed them in the first place.
I founded Creators Syndicate in 1987, and we have represented hundreds of important writers, syndicating their columns to newspapers and Web sites around the world. The most famous include Hillary Clinton, who..."

Who wouldn't come to California who wouldn't come to a beach city instead of some landlocked cold place? It was 30 degrees here this morning, and beautiful. I still would never leave my place.
|
|
Well, from their perspective anyway, they are suffering. (I admit, I wish I had such problems--going from rich to only being well-off.) At any rate, my father-in-law has lost tons of money due to the devaluing of the real estate market. My brother-in-law's house in San Jose is worth about half of what it was just a couple of years ago. Both my husband's brothers (one a CPA, the other an IT guy) are out of work, one of them for quite some time. They report that the economy is just terrible in Northern California, so maybe it's regional.
Are you implying that the budget crisis in CA we keep hearing about on the news is a lie? That life in CA is just peachy keen for all its citizens? |
|
|
most of us are not feeling any pinch of anything. |
|
|
My wife never left for California. |
|
Yeah---you're in a regular paradise. You keep telling yourself that. But just a moment ago----you were catterwauling that my info was from 2005. I proved you wrong, once again---showed you that SEVERAL of those articles I pointed in your direction were indeed from this year-------and you change the subject again.
This whole dialogue started because YOU said that "other states" were experiencing the same thing Kalifornia was. You were wrong about that too. And all of those companies exiting are proof enough for me.
But because that skull of yours is a bit thicker than most---you believe what you want to. Pay no mind to those "IOU's".
Now you're asking me if what you see seems like a down market. Of course not. You keep livin' the dream, duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude. And keep believing that image you created for yourself. |
|
but where I live, pilates classes are full, private schools have waiting lists (and they charge more than $25K per kid for primary grades), and my house was just appraised for 5 times what I paid for it in 1986. House on my street just got finished...sales price was $12.5 million. Does that sound like a down market to you? Swimming pools and movie stars...
Does Santa Monica have homeless folks? Of course it does...who wouldn't come to a beach city instead of some landlocked cold place?
|
|
My info is from 2005?
Are you really that dense, kid?
This one I linked about Hershey is from 3 months ago--in 2009----Kapish?: http://www.topix.com/com/hsy/2009/03/hershey-company-to-lea ve-redlands-for-ogden-utah
This one reporting on DaVita is from May 28th, 2009----got it? http://www.ezpolicyblog.com/fortune-500-company-will-leave- ca-for-co-tax-breaks/
This one is from April 2009-----did you hear that----or has that "KABOOM" caused irreparable damage to your ears? http://www.ocregister.com/articles/california-business-fees -2375002-nevada-company
Many of these article sare from this year---BUT-----so what if some are older? It simply means that this problem in Kalifornia is not new. It represents a systemic political problem---one which has been around----one which is not easily going away. Your argument of that article being older is LAUGHABLE---you can't see this. By the way, doooofus. You may not drive south of Culver City. But you don't have to drive any further than Santa Monica to see what a major mess socialism causes in the homeless issue in that city. Business owners have been frustrated over this for years. But---you keep shillin' for Liberal ideals all you wish. You got what you wished for.
How about that new commercial...
"Got IOU's?" |
|
The story I cited was from yesterday's San Jose paper. Why are you so happy that California might be in trouble? We are a union of states, not a confederation, so what happens in my state, will affect yours. Your taxes will likely help bail mine out.
I didn't say you were mean because you want our state or country or president to fail. I simply said that you do want my state, country and president to fail, and I find that very, very odd, kinda sad, and ridiculous.
Take a train from LA to San Diego. You'll see lots and lots of businesses and workers. My closest beach is not polluted, and my pool is just fine.
Melrose and Vine? That's right near the LA Country Club, nice neighborhood. And I don't go south of Culver City, so what happens in Newport (filled with conservatives, by the way) is of no concern to me. |
|
The Huffington Post has a slideshow of Sarah Palin's fashions. The picture that caught my eye is her foot...it's in a shoe of all things.
The HP also published a picture of Obama looking at the teenager's fanny...and people say journalism is dead. |

i live vicariously through others? man, the things you idiots choose to believe... |

i definitely don't bat 1.000--that's for sure. |

wites, "The great California exodus is mostly a myth"
Yeah------"mostly". You know, the part that sounds like all those Big Meanies who want us to fail---that part. I mean, all of those parts where actual jobs are being moved to other states? Pay no mind to that part. And those companies who announce they are leaving? Geeeeeeeeeeeesh, can't you guys all just chill out and see the humor in those remarks? I mean------Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude, like, it's all good. Their just jobs, dude. We still got Trader Joes, dude. We still got polluted beaches and bleach-blondes, dude. We got New-Part Beach with all those plasticized babes in freshly-coiffed cars, dude. And, Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude, like Michael Jackson chose our state for his funeral, dude. We got that goin' for us, duuuuuuuuuude. Like, Hollywierd, dude. Melrose and Vine and all of those starz, duuuuude.

how are your inlaws suffering?
and to the others...http://www.mercurynews.com/peninsula/ci_12789753 "The great California exodus is mostly a myth"
and many other states are having fiscal problems. |
|
You got that right, bub.
Mine are perspectives of walking the walk. I lived there. I've done it. I know first hand what it's about---I don't live vicariously through others as you do. Nor do I prognosticate with incredibly FOOLISH prattle about "organically grown" classical liberalism nor multicultural contemporary liberlaism as you do. You talk to impress yourself---and hope against hope to impress others. Me? I go out and live experiences to impress myself. I'm a doer and am quite proud of that which I've accomplished on my own.
You? You're just full-O-crap.
|
|
"Clarityshrieker-----don't you forget, I am not a Classical Liberal, they lean far too much towards "organic" growth for my liking. OH NO----I'm no contemporary Liberal either----way too much multiculturalism in their dogma. Nope----I'm still hitchin' my star to their Liberal-loser linguistics, just not all of that hokum-pokum-smok'em stuff from those pedestrian Liberals and Lefties who have infiltrated our great party of Al Franken, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Babs "Dammit-call-me-senator-I've-worked-so-hard-for-that-title Boxer, Barbara Lee, Sheila Jackson Lee, Maxine "I'll-socialize-you" Waters. You got that? They're very clear, my convictions. I'm rock solid in my beliefs, my stance, my positions. Just don't challenge me on them.

Problem is, your posts are almost always absurd, so it's hard to tell when you're joking and when you're not. |
|
|
THAT was definitely moronic. i was joking, chump. |
|
wipe your mouth. you're spittling again.
but it is entertaining to see a transplanted New Yorker and ex-Californian blatting and beating his chest. the opposite of love, chump, is indifference. your hatred is your way of saying..i am Clarityseeker, and I care.. |
|
|
My husband is from CA. His parents and brothers with their families still live there. I think it's an exceptionally beautiful state, but my husband's family is suffering from failed liberal policies in CA. So, this is not theoretical for me. |
|
"no doubt, Mr. Middle America, there is resentment towards the Golden State. probably because every town has lost its most beautiful girls to our state for the past hundred years. they may not have made it in films, but they had daughters, who had daughters, and we California men are surrounded by the most interesting and compelling women in the world. its amazing that we are also the country's best athletes."
You actually don't realize how moronic that was, do you? |
|
"what do i care? it is the laughter of a self-satisfied creep."
I always enjoy your dispassionate and detailed analyses, especially coming as it does from someone who so often engages in such pious puffery as we saw in a post or two above, and who so often speaks out of both sides of his mouth, complaining of "sneering tones" from his critics on the one hand but willing to wield the dullest form of invective on the other.
It's why I laugh at you, PL. |
|
|
no doubt, Mr. Middle America, there is resentment towards the Golden State. probably because every town has lost its most beautiful girls to our state for the past hundred years. they may not have made it in films, but they had daughters, who had daughters, and we California men are surrounded by the most interesting and compelling women in the world. its amazing that we are also the country's best athletes. |
|
No, lightweight, simply putting into perspective the comment by your pity-party pal, Kaboom-brain when he said that "other states are experiencing teh same thing California is"
But you, Oh worthless one---you see it the way you want to while writing,
"...and so there is no genuine perspective coming from them. just clowns like Clarityshrieker, exulting in the loss of jobs."
You're idiotic statements, foot-in-mouth commentaries, pathetic perspectives are more of the same pedantic prattle you've dished up in the 3-plus years you've infested this site with.
|

|
"well, writing off California is a longstanding American pastime."
Really? Like about 40 years or so? |
|
"cicero and others. sorry...my state, contrary to what you read, isn't going down the tubes. We'll be just fine. But thanks for your concern."
Good. *You* and your lefty ilk stay there in your socialist paradise. That's exactly what most of us here in Middle America want.
|
|
No rational response from KABOOM-----just a very predictable kind of touchy-feely----------"You want me and my state to fail".
And just as predictable----his pathetic pity-party pal, Pathologic Liberal chimes in with no substance other than, "HEY....that's too many zeros for me to concentrate on----you're being unfair in how you quote that number----LOLOLOLOLOL----what a hoot these dweebs are. I mean, not a single substantive, rational comment about the FACT (Oooops, they don't take well to facts) that companies are leaving Kalifornia in droves.
WHY?
LIBERAL-loser legislation. Liberal-loser regulation Liber-loser taxation Uber-loser fees-fees-fees Lefty-politicos Organized labor strangulation
Nope----their narrative is, "Hey, you big bullies, it's obvious you want our state to fail. Hey-----what's wrong with issuing IOU's? Hey---you big meanies. You are not playing fair..... Stop with all those ZEROS----all of those revenue-zeros that are leaving our pooooooopy-state."

well, writing off California is a longstanding American pastime. Of course, "conservatives" these days live newscycle to newscycle, and so there is no genuine perspective coming from them. just clowns like Clarityshrieker, exulting in the loss of jobs.
what we need is economic policy that does not allow companies to pit state against state in the race to the bottom. else we all just become the south, with zero public services, some nasty elites, a general poverty level with a bunch of undereducated fatsos running around. |
|
|
sorry...my state, contrary to what you read, isn't going down the tubes. We'll be just fine. But thanks for your concern. |

"they want us to fail because they are more invested in their own rightness than in the truth. it results from a disease of the soul. they are so enslaved to their emotions, so divorced from the cool rationality of moral principle, that they would rather destroy the world than suffer the tiny death in the soul that occurs when one is wrong."
You know, every time you open your mouth to opine on such matters, I just have to laugh. |
|
"you want my state and its citizens to fail. What a funny bunch you are."
Whether *we* want it to fail or not to fail isn't the main issue, dearie. The main issue is that CA is a glaring example of what happens to a state and its economy when liberal-lefties are at the helm. So yes, we do want to show the American people that liberal-leftism is the ideology of suicide, or "failure", if you will, because the sooner that's generally realized the better off the country at large will be.
Liberals aren't fit to govern. Never have been, never will be. |
|
|
they want us to fail because they are more invested in their own rightness than in the truth. it results from a disease of the soul. they are so enslaved to their emotions, so divorced from the cool rationality of moral principle, that they would rather destroy the world than suffer the tiny death in the soul that occurs when one is wrong. |

Face it, your state is already failing. |

KAPOW----like shooting ducks in a barrel----more comapnies announcing their DEPARTURE from Kalifornia:
Urigen Inc. (San Fran---small but growing company) BayBio (Northern Kalifornia) Biocom (San Diego) Schering Plough (closing San Diego operations) Abgenix Inc. (Fremont) Pfizer (1,300 jobs to leave San Diego)

notice how 'shrieker calls it $7,000,000,000.00, instead of $7 billion? he loves those kinds of theatrics. |

as someone put it, is that it is a center-left state with center-right rules. and since everyone knows that right-wingers in this country are nihilists, these guys are just gumming up the works because they can. it is typical petulance. just part of the furniture of our life as Americans. |

that has been ruined by liberals. And CA is not only way over-governed, it is way over-priced. And now the chickens are coming home to roost.

That is a feckless answer at best.
Companies are leaving California. That is much different than an economic downturn---which is what other states are "feeling".
Here's an article from Austin, TX reporting that, "Batter Blaster is the 34th California company to move to Central Texas since 2004, according to the chamber." 34 California companies.
http://www.statesman.com/business/content/business/stories/ other/2009/07/05/0705batterblaster.html
Most of the departing California companies are going to Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, New Mexico, and the midwest.
Your answer makes it sound as if California is simply "feeling" what other states are-------BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTTTTTTT.........wrong, Kaboom breath. It just 'aint so.
But that's okay, you just keep that head of yours buried in the sand---or wherever it is that it is stuck in. |
|
|
No such animal, I know that our officials can't be perfect, but I will continue to expect them to work their hardest for us , not line their pockets with bribes, not be crooks, and I would like them to keep their pants or dress on. You can't impose the idea of gay marriage on conservatives, it was voted down, I know I can't impose my ideas on the masses, but if we believed in morals, treating people like we would like to be treated this would be a better place. But when those who do cheat and demean marriage, they lose the right to stop gay marriage based on morality or the bible. They are without foundation. I say if they cheat they have no right to govern me, gay marriage one way or the other is not the point they should not keep their office. |
|
|
I am so embarassed for our country...it just keeps getting worse! |
|
CA has always survived. We will this time too.
|
|
it! Millions of us do. I went to Yosemite last Labor day weekend...I don't recall any lottery system at all. Could be, but we didn't seem to have any problems. I understand that you think California is not for you...great. I don't know where you live, but I lived 20 years back east, and I wouldn't move from here for anything (I do hope to retire to Paso Robles, but that's a bit of time off). I love Colorado, by the way. Skied many times in Steamboat, have friends in Durango and Aspen. Great state, just too many megachurches for my tastes. Sorry, I don't see why I would live where people are religious.
And the Californians who move to Colorado etc are running away from the things you don't like either. I wish them well, as I do you. I just find it odd that you are so angry about what modern California is if you love your mountain life so much. (by the way, I live as much in the country as you do...deer and all kinds of wildlife in my backyard, etc). |
|
perhaps you'd like to offer an explanation as to why so many companies are leaving that state of confusion, that state of chaos, that epitome of Liberal-loser policies and legislation?
You know, like that compnay which started its operations in Kaliformia---Intel. Yep---as they prepare to peave and invest $7,000,000,000.00 in states like Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Oregon.
Geeeee wiz, it appears that everything is going, "KABOOM" in that state of I.O.U.'s. Overrun and mismanaged by organized labor, unions and all those Liberal-losers. |
|
"The way I live my life, my married life is I don't cheat on my wife. That is my standards. I don't expect you to live your life like mine , and I don't care, is that clear?"
Me too. But you seem to want perfect people in office. Never has been the case, never will be the case. Your feelings about abortion and gay marriage are yours...no one is saying you cannot have them. You simply cannot impose them on anyone else unless the constitution allows it. Many people in 1861 in the south liked slavery, they lost on that point.
Your wife (like me)--no abortions. You (like my husband)--no cheating. You (like me) --straight. But when those who do cheat and demean marriage, they lose the right to stop gay marriage based on morality or the bible. They are without foundation. |
|
"I live 7 minutes from the beach, about 2 hours from the mountains and desert."
Yeah. You and a trillion other people. Last I heard, you had to get tickets on a lottery system to get into Yosemite. Is that still the case?
Speaking of Yosemite - how's the smog problem there these days?
"Food, cultural, people diversity."
Yes, well, tonight we are picking up some excellent Indian food in a little town called Evergreen, CO. What's more, there won't be any major traffic jams getting from my place of employ in Denver to that little mountain town. "Cultural, people diversity?" Si Señora! Que dice? No habla Ingles.
"We live a wonderful life, sorry you are so jealous. I'd be angry and jealous too if I could live where I do but had moved away."
I'm sure your anti-psychotic medication makes your happiness there a real possibility.
And yeah, I'm jealous of you, ma'am. Real jealous. This here's one of my blogs. The photo at the top is taken from my front deck:
http://coloradoconfederatarian.squarespace.com/
Ask yourself why so many Californians who leave that $hit-hole of a state come to Colorado and other Rocky Mountain States.
Enjoy the next earthquake. Hope this time y'all really do fall off into the ocean. |

Double Talk? The way I live my life, my married life is I don't cheat on my wife. That is my standards. I don't expect you to live your life like mine , and I don't care, is that clear? So if I feel that my elected officials are corrupt are adulterers, I have a right to not condone their actions, what is wrong with that? I feel abortion, gay marriage is wrong my opinion i have a right to say that, do I have the right to kill the abortionist? No. Would I ? No Why? Because i don't believe in murder. I don't know where you get double talk out of what I say. |
|
Big Sky....I'm glad you love where you live. There are many places in our country that are spectacular...I've driven all over our wonderful land, and places like Durango, Santa Fe, Austin or Mason, Texas, even NOLA, just great places to visit and spend time. I just love LA.
Diane: you have no heart if you want to deny sick people health care. Sorry, but if I am in Mexico, legally or not, they will treat me. If you don't like the illegal situation, then you had control of Congress for many years yet did nothing. I think conservatives care about the environment, but when you simply reject conservation efforts because you don't like Al Gore's pov, when EVERY little thing will help us all, that isn't heartless, that is just shortsighted. I don't care if you accept Roe or not, and lobby all you want to undo Roe, but don't lump all Roe supporters into being pro abortion. I'm pro life and pro Roe and those are not inconsistent positions. I am also against the death penalty.
When 'your side' preaches, however, and your leaders fail to honor the 'promises' they said they would keep, that's simply hypocritical, and we on the left will call you on it. When you catch a pro Roe person denying someone else an abortion, then you can call us on that. OK? |
|
|
Please a few liberals come to mind. Kennedy being the one I will always think of first. Of course there is Edwards. On the run or I would happily name many more. Many on both sides have fallen from grace. |
|
well, I moved here in 1975, so no wonder it is great...you had already left.
I live 7 minutes from the beach, about 2 hours from the mountains and desert. Food, cultural, people diversity. We live a wonderful life, sorry you are so jealous. I'd be angry and jealous too if I could live where I do but had moved away.

double-talk. you want to impose standards on people without being responsible for imposing standards on people. it is the crisis in the conservative soul these days--an unwillingness to be morally responsible, which, in the end, can only reveal the pain of personal shortcoming and inadequacy. you don't want THAT. but you DO want to be moralists. leading to double-talk. |
|
seems to me you want the power that comes with moral authority without its corresponding responsibilities. in fact, morality reveals the ubiquity of shortcomings and forces men to take ownership of the broad failures in our moral condition.
you folks want to use morality as a bludgeon. if you wanted to use it to edify the souls of men, there would be much more sobriety and humility in your moral language. but there isn't--primarily because, morally speaking, you folks don't know what you are talking about and, morally speaking, you have been inflicting a hustle on the American people for a few decades now. |
|
"arch, Diane, Vlad Could we please stay on topic? Thanks."
I was never off. I still say the Brezhnev photo is way better than the questionable Obama one. |
|
|
but imposing higher standards on others than one imposes on himself? worthless. My standards are mine I don't expect or care if you live up to my standards, but if you are my elected official, my family my friend I do care, I believe in my wife and my vows to her, I have never thought of straying from her, so you should do the same with yours, not my business, but I hope you do for her sake. One thing I can say my marriage vows are very importantto me, it is actually hard to believe so many people have so littlehonor in keeping theirs. |
|
hm. you're a moral relativist.
my standards may not be too high, at least where others are concerned, but at least i apply them consistently--to friend and foe alike.
if i fall short in that regard, i invite any and all to correct and rebuke. you will find an eager listener. but i have also lived long enough to know that moral objectivity does NOT mean moral neutrality.
so spare ME your relativism. you are not entitled to bear false witness simply because your guys are a bunch of worthless phonies. i can understand living to higher standards than one imposes on others--but imposing higher standards on others than one imposes on himself? worthless. |
|
|
will put to rest the silly rumors that Barry is a secret homosexual? Jillian, this is a nonsense blog when there are any number of serious issues over which to criticize Chairman Obama. |

Never mind. Please carry on. And feel free to use every thread as a forum to continue your dogfight.
So, now that we're diverting from the topic, allow to tell Kaboom (Multiple Personality Girl) what I think of Los Angeles:
It is the armpit of California. Stike that: it is the anus of California. I know. Was born and raised there. Left in 1974 (and it was bad THEN), and never went back.
Big Sky Cowboy, I've not been to Montana, but I have been to Wyoming. I live in Colorado. I love the Rocky Mountain chain, from South to North. Montana would probably be a bit too chilly for me in the wintertime, but I could much more easily make your state my home than I ever could make "El Lay", porn capitol of the world, outpost of Atzlan my home. That city stinks to high heaven. It's a natural abode for someone like Multiple Personality Girl. |

What a freakin' laugh this arrogant little dweeb is
This drama queen writes, "it is not drama-queenish to be repulsed at folks playing fast-and-loose with a man's reputation. you guys don't care because you don't feel much of a moral obligation towards those you disagree with.
but for us principled guys--those of us who are not lawless and anarchic in the soul--we hate when a man is falsely maligned or derided, no matter what that guy's politics are."
Yeah----that reputation Obummer established in Chicago-style-politics. Engaging in real estate deals with Tony Rezko---LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL ***Showing up at hate-monger, Reverend Wright's church for over 22 years, the guy who presided over his marriage, baptized his two children. Hahahahahahahhaha
***Cavorting around with friend, Khalid Al-Mansour----Whoooooo-Hoooooooo-hooooooooo
***Sitting on the foundation with Bill Ayers, that terrorist-extraordinaire who, to this day, shows NO remorse for the destruction and death wrought by his organization---Lolololololololol.
***His many dealings with Rashid Khalidi and his wife, including giving hundreds of thousands to them while sitting on the foundation with Ayers----Hahhahahahahahahahahaha
IS THAT WHAT YOU MEAN BY "PLAYING FAST-AND-LOOSE" WITH A MAN'S REPUTATION?----YOU PHONY

I am afraid that libs preach on a lot of other things. First of all they preach that conservatives have no heart because we do not want to provide health care for illegals. They preach that we do not care about the environment because we do not totally buy into the Al Gore climate change. They preach that we must all agree with abortion as it is the woman's right to choose. Both sides preach, they just preach different things. |
|
O was careless in how he looks. Again not a big deal. But he has made a big impression to the world alright. Drudge points to many articles that covered the supposed ogle, internationally.
You are more correct about the second shot than the first. She was picking up the markers that told then where to stand for the photo op. He was probably more concerned about not tripping over her at that point. I knew that before I posted the link. Easy info to get, but folks are defensive without checking into the reality. Thanks for supporting that point.
The fact that Newsweek and ABC will press what little credibility that they have, and so will many posters here, to try to provide cover is the bigger point. I personally don't care if he looked or didn't look. I do care that news sources, and those hoping to sway my and the countries viewpoint, are willing to use their credibility to cover something so minor. Anyone who knows the paparazzi, including the political press in some countries, knows that they will take anything that they can get that can be used to get attention.
I agree with others here that here are many other things we need to focus on, and this just gives ABC and others this to distract. |

Cicero. I find it hard to stay on topic when a proven liar haunts the threads. If you can tolerate sock puppet creating, snarky comment making, proved liars like Vlad/Lucky Pozzo, then you have much more tolerance to evil than I. How do you do it? |

Diane writes: Friday, July, 10, 2009 2:47 PM Arch Tell me have you been able to prove that he in fact is the parent of a soldier?
Arch says.
It is highly unlikely as Vlad couldn't answer simple questions posed to him by a US marine Veteran, Roy Rogers, concerning basic knowledge any parent of an enlisted warrior would certainly know! I cannot post proof of that as the archives don't have it cached! One question I remember was asked of Vlad was how long was it before he got a letter from his son after basic training started? He side stepped all questions posed to him so I take him as a liar!! |

This topic is really a waste when we should all be paying attention to the healthcare bill, cap and trade and the fact that some are discussing a new stimulus. Who really cares if Obama looked or didn't look, it really has no affect on my future or on anyone elses here. What our politicians are doing does. The thoughts that these clowns will pass more bills that will not be read is what is important. As far as I am concened none of these politicians are worth a nickle and we had better be watching them no matter what party you belong to. Anyone notice they don't really seem to care what is good for us. This is nothing more than a silly diversion to say the least. |

Too much smog, too much crime, too much traffic, too many idiots, we have malls and international restaurants, a university, skiing great fishing, access to two of the most beautiful national parks, rivers that are so beautiful. Hardly like your beautiful LA river or San Gabriel river. So much to do here , not many people to get in your way. |
|
Conservatives do, so when the conservatives fall, that's why we all laugh.
What's that old expression...do as I say, not as I do? That's the GOP. Sanford's marriage is good, Ellen Degeneres' isn't? LOL.
When you want to stop telling us how to be moral (when you clearly have no idea what that word means), then maybe we'll take your pomposity seriously. Until then, keep your promise keepers! |
|
|
so much time wasted on this thread when we have healthcare looming. Much more important. |
|
|
Could we please stay on topic? Thanks. |

Tell me have you been able to prove that he in fact is the parent of a soldier? |

Spare us the sermon on how rotten we conservatives are, your side relishs any and all scandal or non scandal, and loves to judge people and if they have kids that could be hurt in the details being brought up time and time again who cares? The libs always say we are hypocrites, cause we talk about morality, yet our leaders commit these acts, the way I look at it if one of yours is in a scandal it helps his stature in the party, what do you think Sanfords and Ensigns role will be in the future of our party. |

Diane. Vlad/Lucky always disturbs me and every decent human being who reads his posts. We all grow a little more dim for reading him. You would think he would just fess up about his big lie once I proved that he did so. But noooo! He is a slave to his foolish pride. I even offer to forgive him and debate him civilly once he repents and apologizes. I would never bring it up again. but until then, I will never relent! |

it isn't my marriage. It isn't yours.
If these guys didn't preach to the rest of us about morality and the sanctity of marriage, belong to 'promise keepers', etc, it wouldn't be so sad.
Sorry you hate LA. I love LA, Montana is beautiful but very boring. I mean, tonight I'll see Bruno and go out for Ethiopian food after. I cannot imagine living in a non-urban place. |

Only the true white boy from PG County has a deep understanding of the psyche in this highly emotional area. 1) the brothers (all of our neighbors) are cool with some junk in the trunk. 2) NORMAL dudes --especially from PG County are cool with some junk in the trunk... but German Chancellors? I wasn't there and can't comment. |
|
Oh yeah, that's real conclusive too.
(Rolleyes.) |
|
that's a good point. it is one thing to look, and another to act.
i just get annoyed that this fairy drudge is allowed to drive the media narrative in our country. he is breathless, double-dealing, drama-queenish--and that insipidness spills into our civic life. real men should treat him with contempt, rather than chortling with delight that he is keeping that fraudulent and misleading pic up on his site. |
|
"Yes, we cannot say where his eyes were,. . ."
Precisely. Which damns your argument. And what's more, if you simply watch the follow-through of his motions, it's clear that the Newsweek blogger above is right. He is in the process of helping the other lady down to his level.
"but we can see where they were not."
Fallacious. It's impossible to prove a negative. That's why the burden of proof is always upon the affirmative. In this case, the affirmative argument would have to prove that his eyes turned upon the girl's bottom. You just admitted that this can't be proven.
"Little matter there. More to the point is how people will go so far to cover for even the least issue that makes B O look the least bit bad."
And conversely, it's amazing the lengths those of you with severe cases of Obama Derangement Syndrome will go to make him look bad. You people should try listening to yourselves sometime.
Weekly disclaimer: the foregoing criticism was brought to you by Cicero the *Conservative*. |

damn straight he wasn't oogling. it wouldn't matter, so much, if he was. but the fact that he wasn't makes it creepy nastiness--the cackling laughter of louses whose sense of moral responsibility extends to their aesthetic only, their tastes and preferences, their frigging desire to be entertained.
like i said, the evaporation of conservative moral authority. sad, really, because as you know, a country needs conservatism. true conservatism. grown-up conservatism. not tabloid nonsense. not girlish blamelessness. |

Obama wasn't staring, but even if he were, he wasn't f'g the woman like Ensign, etc. or clinton or spitzer. this is what the problem is the morals of this country stink, it is acceptable to cheat on your husband or wife, yes I live in montana, very happy too, I know la I hate going there to see family that lives there. It is sad that we accept adultery from our politicians, and our family and friends. |
|
to be repulsed at folks playing fast-and-loose with a man's reputation. you guys don't care because you don't feel much of a moral obligation towards those you disagree with.
but for us principled guys--those of us who are not lawless and anarchic in the soul--we hate when a man is falsely maligned or derided, no matter what that guy's politics are.
par for the course, tho. it reinforces the utter truth of my message that "conservatism" in this country has evolved to a state of moral degeneracy. you clowns need to get your stupid act together. |

More apparent that he was than he wasn't. The background removes any question of proximity. His head position was direct. Yes, we cannot say where his eyes were, but we can see where they were not.
Little matter there. More to the point is how people will go so far to cover for even the least issue that makes B O look the least bit bad.

Ok Vlad/Lucky! Tell us how you are not a proven liar by my evidence? Go ahead explain away! We are listening! Why did you post on the powerlineblogforum that Roy Rogers had saved posts of yours from 2 1/2 years ago which were written by the moniker Vladimir Estrogan while you were posting as Lucky Pozzo when making that distinction? Hmmmm? Now explain your lie here on townhall which I will quote below.
vladimir estragon writes: Tuesday, June, 23, 2009 10:14 AM Arch "You got pegged for that by the impeccable Roy Rogers and then admitted it."
Lucky Pozzo is an internet buddy of mine. We hooked up years ago, with a shared taste for right-wing lunacy. He went off to a right-wing site and I went over to Powerline, and we would share stories. When Powerline kicked me out, he created his own Samuel Beckett moniker there. He wasn't a sock puppet, he wasn't "pegged" for anything by the child molesting Roy Rogers, and neither he nor I admitted anything.
Lucky and I even had a falling out when I found out he had identified my son's unit when he was posted to Afghanistan. I learned long ago not to reveal any personal information on sites populated by half-civilized right-wing knuckle draggers. That's probably where you and the onanist Roy Rogers got the idea that I didn't know about things that a Marine's father should know, because I won't play your stupid little swinging Richard games.
Of course, you know all of this already, don't you? You've read it all, right? So tell me, what outfit was my son in when he was in Afghanistan? |
|
I like the other shot Hot Air (of a different woman). Obama and Sarko are oogling too.
And I loved Glenn Reynold's old school shot of Breznev oogling Jill St. John. |

|
It is by no means clear from looking at that video that Obama was watching that girl's hind end. |
|
As I conveyed to NEO-----just another example of drama-queen antics from one who enjoys breathless chatter.
And this pathologic liberal is one well-packaged drama queen. |
|
Bottom Line:
More drama-queen chatter from the eternally confused----and she is confused, to be certain. |
|
|
Pretty original of you, your timing is very slow. |
|
What you failed to miss in that post is the internal angst over her own inability to come to grips with natural human behavior. You see, if this Pathologic Liberal was a well grounded male, he would see it for what it is. Not so. |
|
I am glad to hear, from many post of yours, that the people who read here and on Drudge do not matter. Then we are not worth your time, and we'll hear less from you because it is not relevant to your time.
How much time was spent on foot tapping, or trips to SA. Those appeared on Drudge. Would this be on ABC if they did not need to run interference?
The self righteous got caught with his eyes where they did not need to be. Its entertainment, and shows how so many folks jump to deflect even the most minuscule things that could make B O look bad. |

"there is a special place in hell for those who misrepresent what others are doing."
Oh now that's a bit much, isn't it? No need for hell when a mere public flogging and intensive re-education in manners, morals, and media relations would do. |
|
I assume that you reside in Montana.
If you live in LA, no young 'fella' is going to hit some middle aged guy for looking at his 'girl' dressed as women do in LA.
Reading here is educational...I live in a city where at the market last night (Whole Foods, yes, yuppie world we live in), the gal in front of us was wearing a sheer white t-shirt and no bra (she was enhanced, lol), daisy duke shorts and UGG boots.
Obama wasn't staring, but even if he were, he wasn't f'g the woman like Ensign, etc. |
|
a close-up living example of lefturd lightness and joviality...just read 1:42pm right here at this thread. BWHAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaa..!!
The Age of Finger Wagging Self-Seriousness has arrived with The Bamma and his Lefty Horde of Bloviating Losers. BWHAAAAAAAaaaaaaa...!
Ain't had this much FUN since them hawgs ate baby sister! |
|
this is why you Reeps don't matter. the moral authority has been lost in a pool of bearing false witness. not to mention debasing the public dialog with nasty and savage conceits.
there is a special place in hell for those who misrepresent what others are doing. |

"he thought he would try a replay of his great feat of killing......well that is what he wants you to believe."
Do you work as a comedy writer? Please quit your day job. |
|
Sorry about the link - I didn't realize it was that big and of course you can't go back and fix stuff at Town Hall.
"Since when is a 16 year old an adult. Even Rio 16 will get you 20."
Looking at a 16 year old in Rio will get you 20 years in jail? With the skimpy swimsuits they wear down there? Man, scratch Brazil off my list. |
|
|
please keep your day job. |

Acually, I did not think anything of it, well, not until you brought it up. Since you did:
No----actually I am not "secretly" happy, overtly happy, mildly happy, enthusiastically happy, or any other version of happy-happy.
There really are many other issues this president and his cabal are engaged in to focus on his eyeballing the a$$ of some woman. Frankly, this is a universal behavior of men----but it is apparent that this eludes your grasp as a woman.
Yeah---this is a great post for sophomoric energies.
How about posting next on what gifts Obummer gave to the Pope today. I can't wait to hear how Obummer gave him one of those Pope-on-a-rope soaps. Or, one of those bobble-head Popes that you put on your car dashboard. Or-----a collection of dvd's, replete with "devil" themes: "The Exorcist" "The Devil and Mrs. Jones" "Poltergeist" "The Wicker Man" "The Blob" "Rosemary's Baby" "Amityville Horror" "Gates of Hell" "Hellraiser" "Jesuscamp" "Halloween"

My husband says that the day he stops looking at good looking women, he'll be in the grave. Or he will be put there if some good looking womans fella sees your husband staring at his wife. The video shows something else, yeah him bowing to the saudi king. |
|
Well, one of my favorite entertainments is listening to conservatives get all self-righteous about other people's morals.
Why should you always take two Baptists with you when you go fishing?
Because if you only take one, he'll drink all your beer. |
|
|
for looking at the 16 year olds butt, you see there was this pesky fly buzzing around her butt, he thought he would try a replay of his great feat of killing......well that is what he wants you to believe. |
|
the video shows otherwise....and I guess when you have "promise keepers' like Ensign and Sanford actually having affairs, what better way to change the subject than by posting a photo that might show two men being men. My husband says that the day he stops looking at good looking women, he'll be in the grave. It isn't offensive to me, he loves me and doesn't, like Ensign and Sanford cheat while telling others how to behave.
And did you hear that Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig are going to be in a play on Broadway in the fall? I'm booking my plane trip as we speak--those guys are hunks!
But again, Obama wasn't looking, and even if he were, well, he's not sticking his johnson into an employee like Ensign or a hottie from Argentina, his 'soulmate', all the while bemoaning how gay marriage undermines the 'sanctity' of marriage.
|
|
Is anyone else secretly happy that the GOP is currently so void of talent and ideas that they've put all of their collective "strength" behind a small-time mayor with the vocabulary of a (not-so-bright) 17-year-old.
Let me use a basketball analogy: When a team is losing and decides to full court press, also, ((*AMERICA*)), the best thing any point guard can do is quit so that the team can continue to lose, and also pro-American values. |
|
Take a look at that a$$. Also the girl beside him is pretty hot. |
|
Jillian:
Is it really just about sex with conservatives? The woman (whose age probably cannot be guessed from that angle) has very nice legs and a beautiful derriere. Of course men are going to look at it! So what? I'm 60 and her butt would draw my attention too.
Try to keep things in perspective. Who cares what Obama stares at if he is destroying the economy with his lunatic proposals? Anyone who sees more significance in Obama's ogling a well constructed female than in his fascist economic programs has warped priorities. |
|
|
|
Since when is a 16 year old an adult. Even Rio 16 will get you 20. Catch my drift? Also may I suggest tinyurl.com.

Read the post and review the video. He never looked away even while he was reaching out his hand. Even the proximity by the shadows supports where he was looking. I could not tell from the video if the lady on the step said something, but the Prez never looked back to see her. |
|
yep the Big O is a lecher. I think the pic is great! See what happens when you get famous, or in His case infamous. The other one that I have on my desktop is the one where Obama and AlGore is standing in close and it looks like the Big O is going to stick his tongue in AlGore's right ear! No wonder they are both for the 'gay agenda'... lol |
|
But when you view the video from whence it came, it doesn't appear that Obama was really eyeing that girl's caboose.
It's all a bit of fun, but not near as fun as watching those of you with severe cases of ODS bloviate about the "lecherous" president. |
|
|
as the photo of Leonid Breshnev and his interpreter ogling Jill St. John's backside! There was no mistaking what was on their minds in that photo. |
|
|
...This sort of thing, and even greater things, are resume' enhancement for democrats. It's Repus who get into trouble when they practice blatant lechery. |
|
|
I thought you were kidding when you said ABC said he was not staring. But someone just IMed me the link, un-f--king believable! Barack Obama could molest more kids than Michael Jackson and the liberal media would still defend him. |
|
O-Bum-O-Gate is that they are calling it...
Of course ABC News is saying he wasnt staring at all. What is even more priceless is Sarkozy's facial expression...
Oh yeah, the girl is only 16 or 17 depending on which report you read... |
