At the Victory Caucus.
My segment on MSNBC ended today before I got done complaining about Dems and moved onto Republicans, but these guys are worse than the Dems in a lot of cases. I mean, at least Dems have the excuse of naivete or ignorance. They've never really understood the threat, most of them, and always focused on politics first, but most Republicans have no such excuse.

Let's remember why we are in this position. It was the partisan Republicans of the do-nothing Congress who refused to lift a finger to steer us away from this debacle. They failed miserably because they refused to do anything they thought would help the Democrats. That, my friends, was pure partisan cowardice. Why didn't the Republicans in Congress, who clearly saw what was coming, stand united against the President in a concerted effort to force him to change course when changing the course could have helped? Because they were cowards and because they thought it was more fun to wag their fingers and yelp about cutting and running. Whine all you want. This baby is the GOP's. |

Ric Keller compares defending Iraq to cutting your neighbors lawn?
Keller's analogy should be that the neighbor's husband and his brothers are abusive to her and their children. You step in to protect them and throw them out of the house. Throwing them out is only the first step and does not take long. The long haul occurs when you need to stay vigilant as the husband, his extended family and friends continue to harass the wife and kids to prevent them from moving on with their life. You never know when they are going to show up.
Others in the neighborhood know the husband and his brothers are evil but only provide vocal support. Other neighbors never liked his wife anyway and are sympathetic to helping the husband, though they tell you and the rest of the neighbors the husband is bad.
The wife and kids will struggle making their own decisions and running the house because it is unfamiliar to them. They have never done it before so it will take time to learn and grow in ability and strength. The kids and the wife may resent you but they know that without you they are at the mercy of others who hate them.
Cutting the grass is the easy part in Iraq. It's draining the swamp and cleaning the sewer that requires perseverance and strength.
What are Mr. Keller's views about the neighbor in the house on the other side of his - the one with the Darfur family living in it? There is an abusive man there too starving and beating his kids. The fact that he does not cut the grass is the least of the neighborhood's problems.
Keller failed the gut check.

Those pathetic RINOS (Republican In Name Only) really chafe my a**! As a long time Republican, I am disgusted at such behavior by a good portion of my Party's politicians.
In fact, I've been blasting my Repub politicians for their wishy-washy positions on many issues that used to be hallmarks of my Party.
I'm so MAD, I'm ready to "jump ship," as it were. But, not LEFT-wards! I've been considering the Constitution Party. I'm just waiting for that third party to "wake up."
The seem non-responsive--I've written them several times over the past couple years, to no avail. It's like they're not interested in increasing their numbers. What's WRONG with these people??? |

I am embarrassed to say that walter jones in my representative. I have written a letter and sent e-mail expressing my extreme displeasure with this cowardly resolution that undermines our troops. He has lost my support. I am just so disgusted it is hard to express. |

Good to see you on MSNBC, MK. I was on there last month, but not for anything cool like politics. Instead, I was forced to talk about a cheerleading coach who gave her girls booze and then hooked one of them up with a friend of her National Guard boytoy. Lovely stuff, really. |
