Barack's Speech-Chilling Machine
Posted by: Carol Platt Liebau at 3:17 PM
Missouri now has a "truth squad" of openly partisan prosecutors, sheriffs and law enforcement who are threatening to decide which anti-Obama television ads are "misleading" and prosecute accordingly, supposedly under Missouri ethics law.  The linked news report seems to suggest that they deem charging Barack with the intention of raising taxes is "misleading," and hence subject to prosecution.

Of course, there's not a word about ensuring the same rights for the McCain campaign.

Talk about bringing Chicago politics across the state line . . .

I wonder what the drafters of the First Amendment would say to this gang.

Obama Dictator?
I recall not to long ago a Dictator was shutting down all news media that wasn't agreeing with him, Do you Americans remember who that was? Do the Americans that are following Obama want this same type of Person in Office?
If you don't recall who this Dictator was, let me remind you. His name is Chavez!
Now America get your heads out and breath and stop this insanity of trying to put this type of idiot in office.
Obama is Bad Bad Bad for this Country and you KNOW IT!

Do any of the libs here support this?
Any of you care to debate this behavior?

Only leftists, college educated and

the young (who have an excuse) trust Obama, Jr.

If in the end the American voter is stupid enough to trust him, feel sorry for us all. At least me and my family still have the farm. Of course, if Obama, Jr. nationalizes land ownership that may not be enough. Oh well, I would rather end my days in jail than to stop telling the truth as I see it.

Plus, there are about a billion guns in the hands of American citizens. I suggest we all buy refilling kits, because Obama, Jr. would certianly ban ammunition.

What Happened
What happened to the Democratic Party I used to believe in. This is no longer a party I can support. I find this to be very sad for Our Country. The only news I now watch is Fox and 6 months age I would never have watched Fox. Things have changed.

Well...
Hamilton would applaud. Then again, Hamilton would definitely have been applauding the past seven years and would envy the massive power exercised by the President and his economic policies.

Adams would probably be okay with it considering he signed the first law that restricted criticism his partisans found objectionable.

Washington and Jefferson, I'd like to think, would be reaching for their muskets, forming an army and storming DC to kick everyone out.

On the plus side, now that an Obama presidency is likely, it's nice to see "conservatives" start to rediscover that little Constitution thing.

Laughable
[The conservatives are the only ones who have believed in the constitutions]

This is laughable.

Over the past seven years in the name of keeping us all safe, Republicans and Democrats have shown their complete willingness to ignore or violate the Constitution without consequence.

But aside from the amendment violations, if we were to truly be strict constructionists, a majority of the laws and enterprises of the Federal Government would not exist, and the Republicans did NOTHING to roll back government growth when they were in power.

Obama will be no worse than Bush and probably a great deal better, if he follows through on his campaign rhetoric and actually rolls back Executive power a bit.

But I know that probably won't happen. He'll take the monster that Bush has unleashed and feed it. And the GOP will complain and weep and gnash their teeth. At least until they regain the White House and get to play with all of that executive power once again.
Screwtape writes: Friday, September, 26, 2008 4:39 PM

I would love to see the social programs and unconstitutional control of the federal government scaled back. I don't think the republicans in DC are that interested in doing that but if they were even to whisper about scaling back on social security they would be drawn, quartered and they bodies burned out on the Mall.

Mickey mouse would be better than Obama, get your head out and think would you! Quit playing your stupid games!
Do you know what the heck you are saying, push back the spending of his OWN party? You are a fool! He wants to raise friggin taxes, what part of that can't you get through your thick head? When he starts taking money from the rich and giving to the poor, you will see an economy that will never recover you fool!
Have you ever thought beyond your friggen computer screen how his package will trickle down and hurt the small business' or are you stuck in your internet land playing with marbles?
Oh sorry those are your brains!
What is wrong with the Dem/Libs? If Obama had one thing to offer that would draw me to vote for him I would have, but he is trying to get into office for himself, he proved that by not wanting to be bothered with the economy NOW!
You poor pathetic losers don't have a clue no a clue!
All of you that vote for him and he starts showing you his stupid agenda then I hope they put all you fools in prison to protect all of us thinking people from your ignorance.
You need to see somebody about your foolish thoughts. BUSH is not the babysitter of the friggen Dems/Libs, Do the Dems have to be babysat? Are you saying that can't make a decision without a Day Care?
I hope all you dems read this so I don't have to repeat it. All you dems that know someone in here that can't read or comprehend please help out your fellow fool would ya?

Sweetheart, I'm not a Democrat or a Republican.

I'm one of those Independents everyone loves to court during an election and then promptly gets told to sod off when we start asking why the guy we voted for aren't keeping their promises.

And try to calm down a bit. Obama's not going to drag you off to secret concentration camps anymore than Clinton did.

As to taxes, bring them on. Maybe if people actually had to pay today for their government (instead of funding everything with the govt. credit card), they might actually give a rip about the size of the monstrosity.
Brianna writes: Friday, September, 26, 2008 5:17 PM
First they need evidence
Be a wee bit hard for the prosecutors to charge and convict anyone questioning where Obama was born since Obama has not released his notarized birth certificate. Then there is the matter of all of Obama's recrods as a Illinois state senator he admits to not keeping. I think the prosecutors will have an uphill fight to convict anyone.
LLR writes: Friday, September, 26, 2008 7:10 PM
Dread what is an independent?
Is that someone who sits on the fence until the one who believes like you comes along? People pay for government? Maybe I'm not comprehending your statement. I believe taxpayer pay for this government, now if you told me all the politicans who eat off the plate of the taxpayers should pay for their own insurance, or pay for their own transportation, or had to go on social security and not be taken care of until they die then that would be some of the things that would eliminate a lot of debt. The more the American people sit back and keep letting the blood suckers take every dime they make they will do it.
I am a conservative, I know once someone who gets into office they will never fulfill all their promises because hey! Not only one person can run a government, But as long as that person has humility, morals, integrity and above all Honest I will support them, if the person running goes against everything I hold near and dear to me then i will not give them the time of day, I don't like someone who says they are christian then supports abortion and etc. because then they are comprrimising their integrity to please people and not their faith.
Hope I didn't offend you. I won't apologize for being Conservative. I often say, If you don't stand for Something, you will fall for anything
Have a Great Evening, Enjoy the Debate

"Dread what is an independent?"

Someone who owes allegiance to no political party.

I am independent because I don't agree with any party wholly.

I used to agree with the GOP rhetoric on issues like less government, fiscal responsibility, constitutional limits...

And they had my vote until they went and disregarded all of that rhetoric once they got power.

"I believe taxpayer pay for this government"

No. Taxpayers pay for part of this government.

European, Middle Eastern and Asian Central banks pay for the rest (deficit spending) and charge us interest for doing so.

It lets politicians engage in all sorts of shenanigans and grow government far beyond what they could get away with if they had to pay for it today in terms of raising taxes, because the true costs are just hidden in the deficit.

And if the house of cards all comes tumbling down one day (and with this bailout, it just might), heck, we can just have the Fed print up some more dollars to pay the deficit and hide that massive tax increase in the form of inflation.

Isn't government accounting fun? Like Enron's!

Funny how these champions of justice are concerned only with "lies" against Barack the Messiah and not those told about John McCain. These people are political thugs and nothing more. They should be run out of office and prosecuted for malfeasance.
