Stimulating the Trial Lawyers

The Institute for Legal Reform is questioning a provision in the stimulus bill to boost trial lawyers.
The House-passed stimulus bill gives state AGs power to bring lawsuits for statutory damages for violations of the federal Health Insurance Privacy and Accountability Act (HIPAA) statute. ILR says This means state AG's will be able to contract with outside lawyers to file civil suits, with backing from the state. “While the emergency economic stimulus package is aimed at turning our economy around and getting Americans back to work, the provision slipped into the House version and included in the Senate proposal is nothing more than a gift to the plaintiffs’ lawyers,” said ILR President Lisa A. Rickard.

My wife is a healthcare professional. She and her co-workers live in fear of violating HIPPA rules. Wait till she hears about this.
Ah yes! Stimulating the boat payments and vacation homes of the biggest parasites on Earth: liberal trial lawyers.
Sieg Heil, mein fureur Obama! |

Reminds of a couple of good 'uns......
What's the difference between a lawyer and a catfish?????? One's a scum-sucking bottom feeder.........the other's a fish!!!
It was really cold yesterday!!!! How cold was it??????? It was so cold that I saw a lawyer walking down the street and he had his hands in his own pockets!!!!! |

And the answers to my questions are what....???
As for "you and your fellow whiners make a living wage and enjoy a modicum of fair labor rules in your employment."
Let me set you straight you ignorant, rude little cretin. I am self-employed. I started my own business some years ago. I don't need anybody's assistance to make a "living wage". I allow others to make a living wage. I pay them. I pay them better than any of my competitors in my area. They are loyal and like working for me as a result. This isn't the first company I have started either. Started two and run one other. All still going, all made a lot of money for other people. Not one union ever involved, anywhere, anytime, anyhow.
All my employees know they are free to "organize" if they wish, They also know I am free to close down the whole business at a minutes notice. They also know those two events are connected. |

1. What union are you a member of? 2. Who's paying your bills? 3. At least Ms Carpenter has a job...I guess she's probably paying for your welfare check. 4. You do know Sean hannity is a union member don't you, you ignorant clutz?

The real question is who is paying O'Hara's welfare check. No way anyone that permanently angry, aggrieved and obnoxious actually holds down a job. Let alone that ignorant.
Her ignorance of unions (like the one Hannity is a member of and I'm betting Ms Carpenter is a union member too...try getting a TV gig without being one) is up at her usual level.
For starters only 12.4% of the US workforce is unionized. So 87.6% of us are apparently wage slaves...or slave drivers according to l'il Miss Stoopid.
The reason jobs are exported is financial. Our standard of living is so high that we have to export the jobs of making toothpicks to other countries or else those toothpicks would cost 10 times as much. We stick to making high-tech, high value items in the main that other countries can't produce. If you think you can make the stuff China makes and you can make it here cheaper than they can (and still sell it competitively) then go ahead ... nobody is stopping you.
This clown's ignorance of even the most basic elements of industry and cost structures therein is just so great I can't be bothered to even attempt an education.
What union are you a member of Miss O'Hara? (What's the bet a) she doesn't answer & b) she isn't a member of one?).

is an idiot! It wouldn't know about a union if one bit it on the arse! I've belonged to a union for over 30 years and I think I know how crooked most of them are. |

...what, exactly, is a Big Corporation? How is a Big Corporation different from Big Government? How does Corporate Greed manifest itself? Is there such a thing as Big Government Greed? What makes greedy executives worse than greedy politicians? Do corporations have the coercive power to enforce their will on us, or is it Big Government that actually does exactly that? Would you rather purchase your goods and services in an establishment of your choice? or would you rather be forced into a government distribution center with a permit and a ration ID to be issued your entitlements as defined by your darling centralist government ruled by your emperor? |

This is another example of payback for the political support he got during the campaign. Change? What change? He is only a charismatic speaker who is now allowing the small businesses to become extinct, and the big corporations to pay or play. He will also be remembered as the President who exacted a price on every American who strived and achieved something. |

Taxpayer money for "ambulance chasin slime bags!" |

...by the emperor's legions, of the emperor's legions, for the emperor's legions. The trial lawyers' associations - the BAR, the ACLU, etc. have become like the defacto ruling party of this country. The lawyers are so reminiscent of the old communist party in power in the extinct USSR. Without the party's OK, nothing is allowed. Whatever the party wants, the party gets - or else. |
