Huckabee Takes West Virginia
Posted by: Mary Katharine Ham at 2:24 PM
CNN's reporting. That's 18 delegates. After there was no clear majority in the first round of voting (but Romney led), Huckabee came out on top of the second round.

Marc Ambinder is hearing that the second-round boost came from McCain supporters told to support Huckabee to prevent a Romney win. Intrigue!

Not a great moment for Romney in what his camp I'm sure was hoping would be an early boost today.

Dirty politics from McCain....
...what a shock!
This may be 2008, but most Americans still admire fair play.

The win at all costs crowd USED to be on the other side of the aisle....

This Is Disgusting
Election engineering is usually a tactic of the left. Oh wait, this is John McCain doing this? Now it all makes sense. Huckabee supporters are you paying attention?

McCain reminds me over and over and over why I will not vote for the guy in November. Huckabee supporters pretend to be conservatives but how do they explain their support for McCain?

Say hello to President Bill and Hillary Clinton again! I'm going to be sick. I'll put the blame on those who voted for Huckabee when it meant a vote for McCain.

It wasn't just McCainiacs
The word on the street is those that came in supporting Paul also flopped to Huckabee.

Guess I picked the wrong Lent to give up drinking.

Huchabee
I hate to disappoint you but not all Huchabee supporters are for Romney. From what I understand, they would probably split in half. Romney is not more conservative than McCain & Huchabee. Even Reagan wasn't a total conservative.
CavemanLawyer writes: Tuesday, February, 05, 2008 3:25 PM
Ironic
Huck won by his definition of ‘voter suppression’.

"Isn’t voter suppression where you try to keep people from voting a certain way?"
Boomshak writes: Tuesday, February, 05, 2008 3:26 PM
In any other state, Romney gets a big
win today.

But as fate would have it. WV is the ONLY states that has this wacky 50% rules and Romney gets screwed.

Now at the Convention, Huckabee will offer these 18 WV to McCain after McCain got only 16% of the votes.

Criminal. Maybe not illegal. But criminal.

Straight talk my a**!

will McCain help Joe find a job ?

I think if McCain were to come out and say that if he's the nominee, he promises to help find a job for obsessive Townhall commenter "Joe" as part of his campaign's stimulus package, many of us might be more willing to vote for McCain in today's primaries !

Ha, ha, ha.

steveegg writes: Tuesday, February, 05, 2008 4:31 PM
Be careful of what you wish for, ohm
Joe will become McCain's paid shill rather than his unpaid one (assuming he isn't already a paid member of McCain's campaign, that is).

Just Being A Maverick!
No Votes For McCain!!

What's the likelihood of anyone who has been called names for wanting the gov't to actually enforce the laws, to vote for those jamming amnesty down our throats?

McCain-Kennedy, McCain-Feingold, McCain-Leiberman. Leadership like this I can do without.

Carbon taxes, constitutional rights for Gitmo detainees and amnesty for illegal aliens await us no matter who wins, whoopee!!!

I will not participate in the dissolution of my country.
