Father Michael Pfleger, Another Radical Friend Of Obama's
Posted by: Hugh Hewitt at 6:00 PM
Jim Geraghty has the transcript of Father Michael Pfleger's rant at Barack Obama's Trinity Church this past Sunday.

Here's the video:

Jake Tapper has the background on Pfleger:

a fiery liberal social activist and a white reverend at an African-American church -- St. Sabina’s Catholic Church on the South Side of Chicago -- is a longtime friend and associate of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, having known him since the presidential hopeful was a community activist. In September, the Obama campaign brought Pfleger to Iowa to host one of several interfaith forums for the campaign.

Their relationship spans decades. Pfleger has given money to Obama's campaigns and Obama as a state legislator directed at least $225,000 towards social programs at St. Sabina's, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Add Pfleger to the list of friends that Obama has to disown that includes Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn and Tony Rezko.

You sound a little more like a wing nut.

Anytime someone makes a general statement like "We had a chance and our leaders really screwed it up", and then says, "that's fact". Please look up the definition of a fact. It makes you look ignorant.

12/21/2012, is that the date the spaceship is coming to pick you up?

All is not lost, including free speech.

There is a time and place for everything. There is a time and place for this idiot to spew his hatred toward white people, if he can find an audience. Our constitutional rights guarantee and protect it.

When we begin to use the church as the pulpit to spew political views, whether we agree with them or not, we are misusing that church. I go to church to escape the hectic world around me, to turn my thoght more toward God and reflect on and leard sacred and spiritual things. How can this man justify that kind of a discussion in a supposedly holy place? Isn't this like the temple that Christ "cleaned out" as the Pharasees were misusing the house of God?

This whole group, from the pastors to the congregation that gets up and cheers this hatred should be ashamed and their tax exempt status as a religious organization should be revoked.
Harleynut writes: Saturday, May, 31, 2008 11:54 AM
Freedom of speech is lost.
Pfleger, Wright, McClellan, you, me. I have always believed in Free speech. The cornerstone of this republic.

But as I sit back and laugh at all that is happening, I shed a tear for the loss of free speech.

The death nail has been placed in position and the Media is hammering hard.

Hillary is the one saying, (if it's to hot get out of the kitchen)

So somebody mocked her? BFD, she is a big Girl and playing the game on her terms.

I shed no tear for the Clinton's, their corruption, greed and manipulation of the media and fact's.

Bill on his way out pardoned thief's and major drug dealers.

Our destruction is near, our false sense of security will end and we will see how foolish a society we are.

We had a chance and our leaders really screwed it up, that's fact.

I hang on to the hope that on 12/21/2012, Earths ancestors know better then us the fate of this earth, only a total cleaning and a restart of society, hopefully that second chance will make this a better place.

ScarletPimpernel,
The world has changed Since Clintons, not for good, I am afraid.
Look, at Middle East, Iran is extreemly dangerous.
Last week, there was a rally in Turkey, new Islamic group, the Free Al- Quds, combination of Hisbollah, and Hamas, backed again by Iran Regime, in their rally; "World without Israel", "Israel, will not be standing in 6 years; Saudi regime occupies of the holy Mecca, Egypt, Jordan conspired with Siniora of Lebanon, Hey America Traitor, Conspirator in Middle East, You cannot move Hizbollah a bit!", with echoes loudly from croud, Alloh Akbars, "let our Allah help us arrive at the days when sounds of Alloh Akbar will echo loudly, from everywhere, from the White House, the black house in Paris, Rome and Madrid."
This kind of Hizbollah, Hamas rally was held in Turkey, this should be very alarming.
This was Iran's direct threat, it is not only Israel, or American, they have a plan, which includes most Arab countries!
These are grave times.
We will see situations, never happened before, and the left has no clue how to resolve them, the will always blame someone else! and do not take responsiblity.
These days under President Bush, will be the best of times.
ScarletPimpernel writes: Friday, May, 30, 2008 2:05 PM
Remember Jimmah?
Remember Bill and Hillary? Did they get their way? Hardly. I know they caused some damage but Americans enjoy punishment apparently. We are slow learners. We'll get the hang of it sooner or later. The Repubs have to learn how to enjoy prosperity and what to do when they are in power. After 150 years or so they still don't get it. Back to the starting block I say.

MCCAIN
We cannot afford to have Obama in charge of America.
How could you trust your most beloved precious heart of your birthplace, America, a great nation, get lost for ever in wastelant of the history?
Obama, and his Socialist Marxiest, backers (George Soros - Peter Lewis, Billionaires!) all DO NOT share the same love of country,
OBAMA's Presidency, will be very, very
distructive. America, will never, ever
be the same.
Think About, this first, PLEASE.
McCain, is just lucky to be running for presidency on the Republican Ticket, and should be the only one that has a chance against the Democrat Candidate.
Barr, joined the ACLU, suing the Bush Administration, over War in Iraq and Patriot Act. He is against the Fence on the border. Will cut the funding on the War to cut spending.

ScarletPimpernel writes: Friday, May, 30, 2008 8:44 AM
Well, it'll be a win-win, Sarah
You'll be happy with McCain, who worked hard to bring down the Repub party instead of pushing it to a supermajority. He had lots of help, though, I'll admit that. McCain was a great leader in going the other way. Now the Maverick will get elected with no mandate. As a matter of fact, I say he'll be weaker than Clinton. But the important thing is that he's Republican. So you win and I win. And yes, I really do look forward to a third party option if the Repubs decide to stay stupid.
Sarah writes: Friday, May, 30, 2008 3:22 AM
Stoic Patriot, he wont be elected
Maximum number of electoral college votes = 200. And this is on a good day when all his inner city passies decide to be quiet enough for Obama to conduct a somewhat respectable national campaign - but so far, no such luck! The man's closet is full of skeletons that are older than his life i.e. Ayers started his terror career when Obama was 8. When was the last time a front runner started losing with double digits as the convention got closer? If Obama can not earn the trust of his own party faithful when running against an unlikable woman like Clinton, how will he earn the trust of enough voters to give him a win against an american hero? The more democrats learn about him, the more he has to persuade him that he can win - and so far, they are not buying it. It is more likely he will lose more democrats in the general election and there arent enough blacks, guilty whites and naive college kids to elect him (based on the electoral college).
Sarah writes: Friday, May, 30, 2008 3:16 AM
Piinky, americans have Obama's number
and they will not elect him. Please be assured that an Obama presidency would set this country back to slavery days in terms of race relations. Obama's entire religion is based on 'equal but seperate' philosophy. Actually, they believe blacks to be superior to whites and to have been created by a different God - the real God. And the pretend God created 'whitey'. It's nuts! Moreover, Obama's priorities are not to defend or protect america. Anyone who listens to his rheteric can hear his contempt for our flag, our values and our people - especially the military. he wants to disarm us so that we can be weak enough to be humble and give a seat at our table to middle eastern and african thugs. He is not fooling anyone and his inner circles are beginning to give us a glimpse into Obama's soul - and it is UNACCEPTABLE for him to become POTUS. What soldier will serve a commander who has nothing positive to say about the country he is willing to die for?
Sarah writes: Friday, May, 30, 2008 3:04 AM
liontooth, I knew it
these are the friends that money can buy. How else do you explain how hard they are working to destroy Obama's campaign? I guess Wright was bought for 10 times more? or is he an uncle? I guess Obama really never knew him well. Whatever the version of the story this week, obama will have a hard time spinning his way out of ghetto land into the whitehouse with all this inner city drama trailing his candidacy. Like Hillary said - it aint over yet and anything can happen. Do you think the tape of Michelle railing on 'whitey' will appear now or the week before November election?
Sarah writes: Friday, May, 30, 2008 3:00 AM
ScarletPimpernel , its a pity you voted
out of fear in the past. That is unamerican. Hopefully you will decide to vote or not vote because you are exercising your choice NOT because you were fearful. I am proudly voting McCain because we need an american president and Hussein is not an american president. Plus his friends and church community speakers (black, white or in-between) are better suited for a night at the apollo than the whitehouse. Enjoy exercising your choice about voting......but you can rest assured, americans will pick McCain and Cindy in 2009 - it's a no brainer!

Obama does not need republicans to destroy his campaign. LOL! Even when the problem is caused by an Obama friend like Wright or this new clown on the scene - obama's supporters still find a way to blame the GOP. One can only hope this kind of logic is what Obama is using because it will not serve him well. If you or any other Obama supporter wants to blame somebody for these drama filled expositions into Obama's bad religion - please blame the source - Obama's pastors, spiritual advisors or are they elders of his church....whatever the call them in the 'community organizing' world. But do not blame the GOP, the are just enjoying the drama. Normally, historically presidential elections are full of issue-focused discussions with a small variety of personal drama like Bush's DUI or mis pronounciation of world leader names. With Obama becoming the struggling frong runner for democrats - the whole race has become an inner city comedy from comedy central or is it a night at the apollo. The try outs are being held and Obama is being booed off stage by his own passies. I can't wait to hear Obama's jive talking points on this new drama from his inner city roots. This is exactly why Obama can't be president - he lacks the decorum required of the office of president. In street language, he is not dope enough to roll in the presidential circles.
Sarah writes: Friday, May, 30, 2008 2:47 AM
liontooth, Obama's white half feels
entitled while his black half is upset because while it's white half is entitled, it's black half is being kept down by the 'man' who is half of Obama. So is Obama a half beneficiary of these white establishments? If Hillary feels 100% entitled because she is white, does Obama feel half entitled because he is half white and half oppressed because he is half black? Actually, I think Obama just wants to make new friends and family members because the old ones, just keep bringing him back to his 'community orginizing' politics and he has now 'moved-on' to the Soros level of politics. You know, the one that takes money from the poor black people so that he can represent their needs in the white house and unite them with the rich white people who would otherwise be unable to connect with them given their entitled based residences in gated communities. Which reminds me, how is Wright doing in his $1.6M retirement home funded courtesy of 'entitled whites' and 'poor black tithers'? This will really play well with the half of 'white women voters' who are considering whether to vote for McCain or nobody if Hussein gets the nomination. Dr. Dean must have doubled his medication right about now!
Sarah writes: Friday, May, 30, 2008 2:37 AM
Joe, the third party candidate Bob
might be a good option for all the McCain haters in the republican party. I think they should form their own 'conservative McCain hater's' party because they would soon find out their so called 'perfect conservative' candidate has flaws and what a surprise for the 'perfect party of perfect conservatives'. You know what makes this a bigger joke is that the McCain haters believed they could stop McCain from being nominated by having the Romney all the time radio paid talking heads attack him. They also believed that without 'them' all 15% of them, McCain could not get the nomination. Now who is 'bitter and frustrated'? If they start their own party then they will stop focusing on destroying the only good option in November. So I am begging them to start their own party and pick a candidate for 2012 so that the rest of the country can actually focus on picking the best person for POTUS.

We don't care if McCain gets elected as long as he is weak. We don't think he should represent the Repub Party after all he has done to it. We are trying to steer the Party back to sanity. I think he can still win because Hill's voters and the Squashed Possums will pull the lever against Obama. They are not that far gone yet. Either way we are not voting out of fear anymore. you obviously haven't read the portions of Obama's book where he describes his mother. He is not flattering of his mother at all. He makes her appear to be a white woman who is mesmerized and drawn to black men or men of color for one reason and that reason is sexual in nature. He also makes her appear to be the reason he never felt he "fit" in with his "whiteness." Obama's books are filled with diatribes against the "white man." You just don't want to realize that about "your" man.

If, as a white person, I were to say publicly as a candidate that one of my relatives was a "typical black person" how much explaining would I have to do or would you take me to task for that remark?

Get serious. His "core beliefs" were formed by his Mom, his Grandparents, maybe a teacher or two. These acquaintances you guys dig up--are you frigging kidding?

And as for his pastor--that is something different, which I have gone over multiple times. Pastoral relationships are not political relationships. I can talk to Rev. Wright about cheating on my spouse or when my buddy screwed me over or my anxieties over becoming a dad or whatever other things people talk with their pastor about. That has nothing to do with his politics. My Priest is a dyed-in-a-wool Republican. I would entrust him with my life and reputation. I just ain't gonna let him tell me how to vote.

Obama LIES to everyone. He will NOT bring us together. He "gave up the money world" to serve the people (until he made it). He has done nothing in his career to amount to anything except promote socialist ideals.

He should condemn the racism spewed from the pulpit of the Trinity church and QUIT the church. Otherwise, he agrees with those congregation members that stood and applauded during Mr. Pleger's rant. Black racism is NOT acceptable, any more than white racism would be acceptable.

False teacher
It is really sad when the pulpit is used for this purpose. Pastors, ministers and priests all have a responsibility to their congration and that is to teach the word of God which is the Bible. Here is what the Bible says about false teachers:
1 Timothy 6:1-5 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)
Public Domain
1 Timothy 6
1Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.

2And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

The Bible also states that the 2 greatest commandments are to love the Lord your God with all our hearts and to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:28-31)
This speech does not show love. God will hold
Pfledger and Wright accountable for their speeches instead of teaching the word of God.

"we're sorry, the video is no longer available"

awwwwww....

I heard a bit of the audio, though. What a ham-fisted nutburger!

The reason this matters is because Obama doesn't have a record. Without a record, we must examine hos associates.

And by the way, can anyone 'splain to me why Obama has done NOTHING while in office?? If he's so brave, where are his bold legislative proposals?

Truth: the guy's an empty suit.

Patriotic Liberal - you are kidding
aren't you? You think a man whose core beliefs were formed by the likes of Wright/Pfleger/Ayers et al are of NO consequence when running for the highest office in the US???

Do you really think the American public should just sit back and claim it doesn't matter??? Castro was a smooth talker too, where did it get Cuba?

I recommend Kurtz for more on Pfleger:
Stanley Kurt, author of "Wright's Trumpet" at NRO has followed-up his piece with a more in-depth look at Wright, Michael Pfleger, and others in Obama's orbit.

Kurtz is really getting into the details about the belief system of those Obama spends all his time with. Father Pfleger appears to have been quite close to Obama and how Obama handles question about it will reflect a great deal about Obama.

Kurtz writes:

"In particular, Wright is closely allied with a radical and highly controversial Catholic priest named Michael Pfleger, and with Nation of Islam head Louis Farrakhan. While his specific ties (if any) to Farrakhan are unclear, Barack Obama appears to be very much a part of the broader Wright/Pfleger/Farrakhan theological-political nexus."

Loooooooosers!
Was a day when you guys would talk about the candidate's ideas. Then you began talking about the candidate himself. Now you are reduced to talking about his friends, and even his friend's friends. Ha ha. You guys are shooting blanks--like the proverbial old man "shooting pool" with a rope.

By the way, are we going to discuss McClellan's revelations? Looks like the Administration was skirting awfully close to war crimes. I know, I know--there are more important things to discuss. Like some guy Barack met at a cocktail party twelve years ago who thought flag burning is constitutionally protected.

I actually agree with Father Pfleger
(in part) about Hillary's crying. She thought she was absolutely entitled to the Democratic nomination. Hillary did not realize the threat Barack Obama posed to her until way too late. It was not a racial thing (initially), as much as a Hillary Clinton thing. But when threatened, it is interesting how Hillary made it a racial thing.

As far as Father Pfleger on throwing away our 401ks, trust funds and the like--what I have managed to assemble in my life is stuff I earned, not stuff I stole from any man. That is true for the vast majority of us. Seriously Father Pfleger, what nonsense. And I hope those conservatives intent on their protest and third party votes note what we will likely be in for on social policy if Barack Obama wins.

Big Deal
Obama is a Christian in name only. He was using this church to advance his campaigns in the Chicagoland area. He probably wasn't in church when this was said, just like he wasn't in church when Rev. Wright issued his rants. Obama wasn't there. He is a phony Christian.

It's time to face facts,
Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Tony Rezko, Raila Odinga, B.obambi, Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro and Maxine Waters have been and are the faces of the socialist party of America, pure and simple, these people are hard, hard, hardcore and committed socialists, if left to their own devices, these socialist would bring about, Hugo Chavez type solutions to private property, industry, and energy, thats ultimately where all socialism leads, total and brutal control of all, vote obambi, vote for socialism, Maxine Waters demands it.

Hardly a "non-issue"
After 40 years, the "Yippies" and their acolytes will finally be running the Democratic Convention, instead of rioting outside. What a "triumph" for the Left.

"Add Pfledger to the list...
of non-issues Hugh is pushing because his candidate is so weak compared to Obama.
