Big Bang Theory Bleg
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 5:21 PM
I'm on a mission to save a TV show.

One of my favorite newish shows is The Big Bang Theory.  It's about four very nerdy young scientist-types -- and their attractive neighbor.  It's actually smart, and for this reason, I fear it may soon be canceled (this is perhaps irrational, as both 30 Rock and The Office are considered "smart.")  I have no proof that it's in danger, mind you, just a feeling of impending cancellation.

Okay, there is one reason:  Every time I ask someone if they watch the show, they think I am talking about "The Universe" on the History Channel.  Not a good sign if you're trying to generate a buzz about a new show.

In any event, give the show a chance ...

Big BangTheory
Great Show. It's no 30 Rock (which should be mandatory watching for the Republican community) but it is a great show. Especially if you happen to know some VERY smart people who have limited social skills.

Smart, witty, hilarious
My wife and I love the show - no bad language, no blatant sex, just great sharp writing and great timely acting. It must have been thought up by Barack Obama. We all know that John McCain could not think this up. Just kidding! My point is if they could, the Democratic Congress would take credit for it, unless it gets canceled, then it will be the big corporations supporting the Republicans canceling the show.

'The Big Bang Theory' has been renewed

Not to worry, Matt, CBS has already confirmed it is bringing the show back for the 2008-2009 season.

You'll also be happy to know that CBS has 9 new "post-writers strike" episodes, which began broadcasting with the March 17 episode.

That is one of our favorites
My husband and I LOVE that show.

I agree
Matt, 30 Rock and The Office are not smart. Nothing compared to 2.5 Men and Everybody Loves Raymond.

I watch it and like it but ...
... don't know if it has legs. It did make it through the WGA strike (?), right. The networks jettisoned a lot of deadwood during the strike so maybe it is a good sign that TBBT is still on air.
