Just Vote No
Posted by: Carol Platt Liebau at 12:36 PM
As PelosiCare winds ever closer to a vote, the newest example of government "heath care" incompetence -- the debacle over the insufficiency of swine flu vaccine and inequities in its distribution --  should serve as one more warning (as if anyone needed it) about what too often happens when the government is in charge.

Nancy Pelosi says her bill will cover everyone at a cost of $894 billion.  Right.  Just in September, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius insisted that the swine flu vaccine would be delivered earlier than expected.  So much for government's predictive powers, right?

Has there ever been a government program that worked better -- and more cheaply -- than expected?  Hardly.  The expenses incurred by the overwhelming majority end up exceeding projections by a vast degree.  Does anyone really expect PelosiCare to be any different?

Swine flu bickering
Watching these jokers on Cspan this morning was ridiculous - the Democratic Rep got into a little contest with the Repubs because she was upset when one of the Repubs stated he would not support the bill and gave several wasteful spending sections as examples including the Loan Forgiveness
Program for Vets- Veterinarians that is.
The Republican commented that he did not think the care of cows and pigs belongs in the bill and the Democrat came back with 'ever hear of the swine flu?' You want these people taking over your healthcare?

An interesting thing happened....
to my wife the other day. She's a healthcare professional and was thus in line to get her flu vaccine. The nurse came into her office to administer a nose spray. When Mrs. Plumber's assistant asked for her vaccine, the nurse said, "Sorry, the death panel say's that you'll have to wait."

Time for a Laugh
YOU JUST MIGHT BE A BLUENECK IF...

Instead of referring to two or more people as "Y'all," you call them "you guys," even if both of them are women.

You think barbecue is a verb meaning "to cook outside."

You think Heinz Ketchup is REALLY SPICY.

You would never stop to buy something somebody was cooking on the side of the road.

You don't have any problems pronouncing "Worcestershire sauce" correctly.

You don't know what a moon pie is.

You've never had an RC Cola.

You've never, ever eaten okra -- fried, boiled, or pickled.

You eat fried chicken with a knife and fork.

You've never seen a live chicken, and the only cows you've seen are on road trips.

You have no idea what a polecat is.

You don't see anything wrong with putting a sweater on your dog.

You don't have bangs.

You would rather have your son become a lawyer than grow up to get his own TV fishing show.

You've never eaten and don't know how to make a tomato sandwich.

You think more money should go to important scientific research at your university than to pay the salary of the head football coach.

You don't even have one can of WD-40 somewhere around the house.

You don't have any hats in your closet that advertise feed stores.

You don't know anyone with at least two first names (i.e., Joe Bob, Faye Ellen, Billy Ray, Mary Jo, Bubba Dean, Joe Dan, Mary Alice)

You don't know any women with male names (i.e., Tommie, Bobbie, Johnnie, Jimmie)

None of your fur coats are homemade.

Saw one of CAIR's
bought and paid for Congress critters going on and on about the 100 year effort for this montrosity. He's the same jerk whose staffer pushed a woman constituent Friday when she was in his office.
My congresscritter is dithering, should he, shouldn't he? oooh oooh decisions decisions. he's been put on notice..this district is unique, every once in awhile they open the doors of the monkey house and elect the resident within, a DemonRAT. They keep him around with his begging cup for a couple of cycles then let the elephant stomp him. It's just about that time for a good stomping. And I'm all set to help!

Texas and Tort Reforms
I find it confusing that the Dem rep from Texas made his statement and said that Texas lost doctors over the years due to malpractice suits - he then said so Texas instituted Tort Reform to cap pay outs and lower costs. Then he said and now the price of healthcare in Texas is skyrocketing. He gave no explanation for his statements only that he blames all problems on the repubs - I read something written by the AMA and the NYT a while back about how well Texas was doing and that doctors had been returning to Texas and the healthcare system was something to be desired everywhere.
So is this Democrat saying that the AMA lied? Then did they also lie about their members supporting government control of healthcare? can't have it both ways but they sure try hard.
