HamNation: Meeting Steele in Maryland

I got a few minutes to talk to Michael Steele yesterday at an Annapolis campaign stop. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I think his answer to my last question is my favorite.

Update: Trouble for Cardin's campaign in PG County, at a rally in the black community yesterday:

But the rally turned sour later. State Sen. Nathaniel Exum, Prince George's Democrat, berated Mr. Cardin for excluding him and other local delegates from speaking or being mentioned.

"You do the same [stuff] over and over again, just ignore us," Mr. Exum yelled at Mr. Cardin after the rally, which was held in Mr. Exum's district.

Mr. Cardin shrugged off the incident.

He's got Obama coming in later today, though.

Update: Check out the tolerance on that, baby!

I agree Sunny and that's what I was talking about with her interviewing style. If you compare the interview Michelle Malkin did with Steele in the same spot and at about the same time, MM got Michael Steele the politician and MKH got Michael Steele the man. Something about MKH loosened him up and he dropped his guard a bit. It was nice to see that. Either that or he drank heavily between the interviews. ;)

I eagerly anticipate Chwissy Matthews, Keith Krazymann, and Randy Andy Sullivan trying to spin his election in Maryland. The day the Democrats can no longer automatically assume that they will get 90% of the Black vote is the day they cease being a major party.
