Back to the Hundred Acre Wood
Posted by: Carol Platt Liebau at 12:13 PM
For those who didn't see it last night, just wanted to call your attention once more to this post detailing how a key foreign policy advisor to Barack (and someone who might well become his national security advisor) has been invoking the philosophy of Winnie the Pooh.  Unbelievable but true.

I may have had my differences with John McCain, but when I read stuff like this, it becomes ever clearer that a vote for Obama -- or staying home -- means putting a bunch of fuzzy-headed, profoundly unserious people in charge of keeping our country safe.

If I were Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, I'd be hoping against hope that the American people would put these people in charge.  Silly old bears . . .

Here's an entertaining thought: If you were part of John McCain's team, what kind of visual would you use to drive home the Winnie-the-Pooh-as-foreign-policy debacle?

"a vote for Obama -- or staying home"
There is one other very effective option: voting "none of the above" to protest the status quo. We need to knee-cap the one-party system by making sure that whoever wins, the story will be " why can't presidents win majorities in a two-party system anymore?". In 1992, Clinton won with 43% of the vote and two years later, Contract with America. Americans of all stripes are much more disillusioned this year than in 1992 so it shouldn't be that difficult to at least repeat 1992 or even do better. Is it so scary to envisions Obama winning with 38% or the vote? No! Congress hears us and the Dems are even beginning to get the inside track on border control. It is a big mistake to act on the belief that the only choices you have are to vote for the status quo "one-party" system or stay home. Vote 3rd party and make your protest count.

Even the Guardian, Bush-Hating leftist rag that it is, recently published an article admitting that Bush has actually made the world a safer place.

I believe there's plenty of cattle to go with Bush's cowboy hat.

they still oppose McCain

Carol,

You could inform us that Barack Obama will hire Ahmadinejad to be on his foreign policy team AND that Obama promises to nominate both Eeyore and Bill Clinton to the Supreme Court, and some of these older angry anti-McCain hard right wingers would s-t-i-l-l stand there in front of the mirror and do their best Travis Bickle impersonation, "you talkin' to me ?"

Oh, Kimba and OHM
KimberLie, when will you stop saying stupid things? I believe besides killing brown people, W also freed brown people at a million to one ratio. You're sad. How are all your cats?

OHM - us right-wingers have never moved. Too bad you wannabes want to kiss Dem/lib butt so much. Your man, McCain, has done more major work with the Dem/libs than Obama. I don't trust McCain. You apparently never learn.

Monkey girl
Why no posts on the main threads? Because you get shown your ignorant sorry asss every time. Get back to your cave, we're sick of your drivel...
Kimbat: Post that link you dirty neo-con, I have to see it for myself. I won't read it and learn, but I MUST know it's there."
She never learns anything, only bleats and follows along.
