Barely out of the trees? Sorry you have your beliefs mixed up with the real truth! You believe you evolved from Apes, not us! So I believe you still live in the trees? You can keep your ape theory. |

or theology. Otherwise, your post is just predictable.

"Your God is very intolerant. Mine isn't."
Ralph, honestly, do you believe in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the Cross for the Atonement of Sin?
If you do, then you admit that God is very INTOLERANT of Sin. He hated Sin so much, He sent His only begotton Son to suffer torture and execution on a cruel Roman cross to be the substitutionary sacrifice on our behalf to those who believe in Him.
If you deny Christ died on the Cross for the Atonement of Sin, then frankly you aren't Christian. I encourage you to meditate on these things. Pray to God for His opinion, not your ministers, not yours, but His.
I enjoyed the discussion Ralph. I hope there are no hard feelings. |
|
Your God is very intolerant. Mine isn't.
The Bible was written when people were barely out of the trees. We do nothing else based on principles and conduct that is 2000 years or more years old. Before birth control, sex was largely viewed as being for procreation. Hence, the Catholic Church hates birth control because (a) it limits the number of new Catholics, and (b) it exposes its flock to sex for fun and fulfillment. Christians in the US seem to think, for example, that drinking wine or booze is bad. Why is that? Christ drinks wine all over the Bible.
We'll have to agree to disagree. I wouldn't go to a doctor using a 2000+ year old medical treatise. In the Bible, they had slaves. In the Bible, esp. the old testament, women were supposed to be at their husband's beck and call. Let's not be selective because some of you are uncomfortable with people who are different than you are.
I'd rather have my daughter teach someone than a pedophile priest. She's not trying to indoctrinate anyone. She is who she is. Her students, male and female, love her. They love her spouse, who is a chef.

"Marvin sorry you are so wrong. Jesus said nothing about gay people having to deny their basic being."
I am sorry your minister misleads you about the nature of God and what He says. You are also wrong on your assertion about what Jesus says too.
Jesus speaking in Matthew 19
"Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,'[a] 5and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'[b]? 6So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."
Ralph, why would Jesus reaffirm the male/female model of the old testament if he was so cool with homosexuality?
"The difference between you and me is that I believe that God is good and just."
I believe the same things about God. I just don't take what I believe to be good and just then assume that God must agree with me since I was made in His image. Remember, while we are created in His image, we are also corrupted by our Sin nature, which will in turn corrupt our view of right and wrong. Or did your minister not teach you this? Whether you like it or not, God has spoken on this issue. It is up to us to conform to it, not superimpose our "feelings" of what is good or just onto God.
"Meanwhile, God's just fine with those who cheat on their spouses or who divorce."
Who in the world says this? I don't. No prominent Christian teacher, pastor, theologian does either? Why must you continue to erect strawmen to argue your points?

Sorry I was away - dentist!
I termed you a liberal buffoon because of your clattering-on about your gay kid...lib buffoons are the first, and worst, at promoting the old "some of my best friends are (black, gay,...)" into conversation.
You're proud of your kid? Great - say you're proud of your kid. Doesn't have to be a 'gay' kid, 'black' kid, or WHATEVER. Sounds too much like the morons writing for the papers that tout a great 'black' athlete. How friggin' stupid can you be - a great athlete's a great athlete, a great kid's a great kid. But again, that the worst aspect of lib identity politics, isn't it?
If your vote's for tolerance, Obomber's not where you want to be. 20 years in a race-hustlin' church where the pastor spewed venom toward outsiders; where the pastor preached against middle-classness; where the pastor somehow got the church (and its middle-class hatin' parishioners) to fork over enough dough for him to retire in a $1.6 million dollar home in a high-dollar country club.
For the good of your family, I suggest reviewing Obomber's history more in depth before committing. |

God creates people to live with choice and the freedom to choose.
Sometimes I think I am a Lesbian stuck in a mans body;)
I have friends that smoke. They do not think smoking is normal and they do not recuit others to smoke too.
I would not want the few gay people I know teaching in my kids school for the simple reason that they seem to want to be seen as normal. They seems to want to recuit others into their life style.
another issue I have never seen a more concentrated effort by the News Media to supress votes by Republicans. Jurnalism is a joke and has been dating back to 1991.
Do not believe every thing you read in the media because they are bias hacks. What is it with the News Media being 80% or more Liberal. Where is the payoff for these people? Will a President Obama make us buy the rags these clowns sell?

I just looked at the Big Ten Ohio poll. It has Obama up 12 points. Here is the breakdown of who was polled. 217-democrats 146- republicans 159 - independents How is this a legit poll ? Also the other poll is political/InAdvg They refuse to even show their numbers. Because of these two shady polls Realclear has moved Ohio to Obama. I checked the numbers on other states with the Big Ten pollster and they don't have any breakdown of party. Enough is enough. Republicans and Independents should be outraged at this. I suggest sending complaints to realclear. Go to their site and click contact us. Also this polling group Big Ten is the University of Wisc. Madison. You can't get more pro Obama than that. This is just sickening. The only way these scumbag democrats can win is stealing votes and lieing cheating pollsters and press.

Here is the windfall tax I pay to the Government in California who took no risk to find investors or pay to bring oil to the market. Those whom took such risk made about six to ten cents per gallon for me.
Fed Tax 18 cents. State Tax 18.6 cents. Spill fee .008 cents. Add ALL TAX together with the full price of the gallon of fuel and X by .075 cents per gallon.
Notice how I am paying a tax on a tax? That is socialist DNC Government at work in California and the rest of you want this? You fools are crazy man!
Notice how ALL of the States run by Socialist DNC Governments are going broke? Wonder why. I have lived in California sense 1964 and I can tell you this is one FU*KED up place to live. Thanks Socialist DNC voters. |

Grow the he ll up.
Nancy Palousy flys on a Government jet at a cost to Tax Payers of $100,000.00 per flight.
Palin (unlike Obama and Biden) is not worth multi milions of dollars. Most designers are suprised they paid for any of that stuff because Hillary and others get their cloaths for free.
If Palin would have taken the freebees you would be the first to snivel. |

sorry you are so wrong. Jesus said nothing about gay people having to deny their basic being. The difference between you and me is that I believe that God is good and just. He would not create people so that they would have to live undesired celibate lives, which is what you think he did with my daughter. You truly think that God would create humans in his image, who (if you ask most of them) would love to not be someone that people like you Marv think are perverted or a mistake, and then tell them, essentially, joke's on you. You get to never have sex with someone you love. You never get to have a family with someone you love. Meanwhile, God's just fine with those who cheat on their spouses or who divorce. Sorry, that isn't the God my minister talks about each Sunday. |

RCP, Yahoo
the race isn't getting close. No one is scared of Obama. You are delusional.
Best thing though is that the far right GOP will be out of favor for quite a while. Please go start your own party. |

is going to be close. McCain is gain grounds where the illuminati liberals thought they were safe, Obama's losing support in the wake of his, "spread the wealth" scare. We all should be up all night following this one. |

"My daughter was born as she is. You have not lived in our home, raised three kids identically. If you had, you would not pretend it was a choice just to suit your view of the Bible. I used to think like you did, but when I realized that this wonderful young woman was who she was from day one, well, I hope you have the chance to someday open your heart as Jesus would have wanted you to."
I do empathize with you Ralph. As for the argument that people are born gay, it is certainly a compeling one (though not by any means wholly convincing nor conclusive) to be sure. But unfortunately, it isn't relavent to the morality of it, at least from the biblical perspective. As a male, I have all sorts of desires that I am "born with", that feel natural to me. I have a "natural" desire to lust after any attractive woman who crosses my path. Biblically, I am called to deny my "natural" tendencies.
Even if a homosexual is born that way, they would still be called to deny their natural tendencies if they want to follow after Christ. I am sure from a comparative perspective, your daughter is a very nice, upstanding, even moral person. And to be sure, Christ loves her. But do not confuse Christ's love for all people to mean that he would then excuse her "natural" desires. We are all born with natures which are corrupted by sin. Your daughter is no different, her sin nature has just manifested itself in a way that is not as common as most others natures are corrupted.
The hope that I have a believer is that Christ has overcome Sin. And He offers all believers the power to overcome thier own sin, however it manifests itself. |

"Do you know Palin has 5 Billion dollars sitting in the bank for the people of Alaska right now?"
And she got it by instituting a windfall profit tax on the oil companies, causing them to raise what they charge us for gasoline. She's transferring wealth from us to them, giving every Alaska citizen a welfare check of $3269. Sounds like socialism to me.
The funny thing is, WE bought Alaska from Russia. It's our land, our oil. |

you become rich by doing well in school, inventing things, working hard. That's my life story, my dad's too.
My daughter was born as she is. You have not lived in our home, raised three kids identically. If you had, you would not pretend it was a choice just to suit your view of the Bible. I used to think like you did, but when I realized that this wonderful young woman was who she was from day one, well, I hope you have the chance to someday open your heart as Jesus would have wanted you to.
I am voting for Sen. Obama for many reasons, but like Gen. Powell, it is the tone of the conversation, your use of 'socialism' for one point, that has pushed me to the point where I must vote in protest, as are many people I know even in battleground states. Just as Rick Santorum paid the political price for his radical point of view, where his constituents were truly becoming more tolerant, really much more like true Christians, we in the moderate wing of the GOP must reclaim our party. The McCain Palin loss, if it happens, will be the first step. Perhaps then the Hewitts and Limbaughs will realize that their rabble rousing, done solely to help them make lots and lots of bucks off of people they see as rubes and bumpkins, is coming to an end. |

Obama is up 4 points today, after yesterday's 1 point lead. I guess the race really is tightening!! Toward that landslide we all know is coming. And where did he gain votes? From Catholics!!! Diane, where are you now? |

palin seems to be the only one running in this election who is qualified to run a Budget, Military and Government employees. Do you know Palin has 5 Billion dollars sitting in the bank for the people of Alaska right now? Roe is BAD LAW because abortion is a State issue and not a Federal one. Your Family is a mess (sorry) and God does not MAKE Lesbians. That is a choice. There are few people on earth as deviant as socialists and those they elect. You have no flipping clue how the United States of America is about to change and not for the better. The funny thing is working socialists DNC voters will be the first ones to snivel when they start to understand these socialist changes coming at us. This will make the anti-capitalist social engineering mandated by the DNC congress we have seen cause this financial mess in our Banking system look like amateur night.
I have been reading books trying to figure out how to become one of the very few rich people in a Socialist Country. Seems they come from families with very large land holdings. I have yet to find other ways in a socialist system to become rich. Rich being what I make now. |

I have true family values. Just as you think Palin should embrace Bristol despite her situation, and I admire her for that (many on the far right would find having an underaged daughter pregnant out of wedlock to be mortifying--this is one thing I find Palin's strength of family appealing), I embrace my children as God made them. A few years ago, I might have had trouble with the concept of gay not being a choice. But having my own lovely daughter--who, when we really think about it, my wife and me, she was different from the moment she was delivered, beautiful, not a tomboy, just different, from her sister, and meeting many in the gay community through her, well, in my heart, I know that God made her gay. And her marriage doesn't undermine mine--I think the fact that she actually chose to marry is a reflection on our family values. So many of her non-gay friends are living with their boy or girl friends, a couple of them even have kids without a marriage first. My daughter is traditional that way--marriage, then a baby.
I do not understand why you say that I am a liberal buffoon. A few years ago, I would have been embarrassed to share my daughter's situation--now, I intend to make sure that she is part of the thread of our society. She and her partner are far better role models than Bristol and Levi are for religious values, sorry that is my opinion.
Marv, I too am upset if people use abortion as birth control. I believe that we need to encourage women to honor themselves more than many of them do when they have unprotected sex with men who are not their husbands. But I do not think you can read people's minds via a law that makes all abortion illegal because some people might use it regularly for birth control, and others use if because of the exceptions you and I agree about. We in the GOP are supposed to avoid getting involved in people's private decisions, no? |
|
Congrats on a new grandchild. I hope all goes well.
Deficits are one thing - are you talking trade, or Federal debt? The RINO's have failed us all miserably; the conservatives had the capability to shred government overhead even before Bush, and were stupid.
Bush has correctly ascertained the threat to the world in the Jihad movement; we had to spend to let the military take care of the Jihadi's; that was always tied up with 25% overhead in pork. You fight the war, but have to pay off constituents - that's why little veto. The next problem was the RINO contingent; Bush woefully approved legislation from this bunch of morons as well.
If your vote is strictly against Palin's right-to-life, you're failing to take into account her activity against the old-boy entrenched political mass. That's exactly what we ALL need in DC.
Unfortunately, I've noticed you tossing around your gay relations status like confetti. This marks you a liberal buffoon - you're trying too hard to impress us with labeling the commonplace activities of a normal family. |

one of the 'elite conservatives', guilty as charged...
"For years, many of the elite conservatives were happy to harvest the votes of devout Christians and gun owners by waging a phony class war against "liberal elitists" and "leftist intellectuals." Suddenly, the conservative writers are discovering that the very anti-intellectualism their side courted and encouraged has begun to consume their movement.
The cause of Edmund Burke, Leo Strauss, Robert Nisbet and William F. Buckley Jr. is now in the hands of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity--and Sarah Palin. Reason has been overwhelmed by propaganda, ideas by slogans, learned manifestoes by direct-mail hit pieces." |

My wife has worked as a subprime lender for the last 9 years minus two and most of the loans she sold to banks were from real estate INVESTORS, not mandated government loans to low income home buyers. This argument is just bull. The banks were not required to buy any loans at all. they did however because most did not want to miss the bull market. This is called greed, and that is the essence of the problem. It has little or nothing to do with the government (controlled by Republicans for the last 12 years anyway) requiring credit extensions. BTW, my wife left the business over two years ago because she felt the coming collapse and got out in time. That was BEFORE the Democrats took control of Congress. |

"No woman should be forced to carry a child to term if that child was conceived by a crime. Sorry that you cannot see how that is tantamount to punishment of a victim. Do you plan on having the woman basically be an incubator for 9 months, giving the baby up for adoption at the end? Do you think a woman should be forced to love and bond with something that will forever remind her of a creepy father who raped her?"
Okay, I will grant you the option of keeping abortion legal in the cases of rape or incest, or if the life of the mother would be threatened if you grant me making abortion as birth control illegal.
Agreed? |
|
I work from home, have investments, don't plan on ever quitting.
We have a huge deficit, thanks to President Bush. Did he veto any spending bills? Will McCain? The Dems have only been in control of the House since 1/07, and barely in the Senate, so let's not make them the scapegoats. I know that Hannity and Hugh like to do that, but let's be real folks. We have ourselves to blame for electing reps who tend to spend our money because none of us ever says stop.
What will Obama do? I don't know. I know that McCain picked Palin. That is the end of the story for me. Bad judgment. And Marvin, anyone who says that Roe should be abolished and a national anti-abortion amendment made to the constitution intends to prevent women from having abortions in any circumstance. No woman should be forced to carry a child to term if that child was conceived by a crime. Sorry that you cannot see how that is tantamount to punishment of a victim. Do you plan on having the woman basically be an incubator for 9 months, giving the baby up for adoption at the end? Do you think a woman should be forced to love and bond with something that will forever remind her of a creepy father who raped her?
If McCain had picked Lieberman, Romney, Fred, Hutchinson, Snowe, he'd have had my vote despite my other differences with him. He is someone who could have gone beyond his party's limitations and been a great president. His first executive decision was fatal, in my opinion.
I have sent my full contribution to Sen. Obama, as have my gay daughter and her partner, married in August here at my house, but living at their home in Ohio. Her wedding was as beautiful as her straight sister's, and her straight brother's. I learned last week that I'm going to be a grandpa again, in April.

"The Grand Poobah of Capitalism sputtered his astonishment that the wonderful market didn't properly regulate it self...but it's FREE!"
Actually, the market did regulate itself quite nicely. It wasn't until the gubbmint came in with it's legislation pushing the market to extend mortgage credit to those who normally wouldn't have qualified for a mortgage (you know those pesky old requirements that the market had relied upon for years like 20% down, documenting income, reasonable debt-to-income ratios, etc.).
But why ruin a perfectly good talking point with silly things like facts. My bad.
|
|
The problem was that the market was stacked by a government that had a social experiment in mind - push home ownership on those that never could afford it by forcing banks to open up to sub-prime lending. This was a failure propagated by our morons in government - abetted by a government institution in FNMA that paid off Congress to call off the dogs while they padded their own pocketbooks.
Capital markets would never have bought into the scam - except those trying to make a fast buck a la junk-bonds. |

You are an easily misled dupe. Not to mention lazy.
A timeline means nothing. I asked for you to name a specific policy then an explanation as to how it contributed "doing us in".

Ralphie -
I didn't mean to disparage your mother - poor turn of phrase, and I apologize.
However, I will take you to task re: the bank bailout. The sham started with the Clinton administration, and the easing of restrictions were fully on the shoulders of the Dems; Bush proposed supervision back in 2003, and was rejected by Frank and Dodd - both leading Dems on the take of campaign contributions from Fannie and Freddie.
You can demonize McCain for amnesty (as well should anyone that's sane), but he voted to cut taxes - your knowledge of economics will show that it both increased income to the Treasury, and grew the economy. McCain will also not fold to the first tin-pot dictator to stand up to him; you saw Carter in action; why would you think Obomber will differ?
As for your level of taxation - if you're retired, worry more about your kids and grandkids - increased Obomber corporate and personal taxes will crush any ability to save through investment; proposed Dhim elimination of 401(k) and push to a 'mandatory' 5% savings for a government plan will leave everyone poorer. The 5% amounts to an additional tax over the existing SS, Medicare, Income, State and local income, Sales tax, property taxes ... worn out yet?

As of November 5, 2008, when President Obama is officially elected into office, our company will instill a few new policies which are in keeping with his new, inspiring issues of change and fairness:
1. All sales people will be pooling their sales and bonuses into a common pool that will be divided equally between all of you. This will serve to give those of you who are underachieving a "fair shake."
2. All low level workers will be pooling their wages, including overtime, into a common pool, dividing it equally amongst yourselves. This will help those who are "too busy for overtime" to reap the rewards from those who have more spare time and can work extra hours.
3. All top management will now be referred to as "the government." We will not participate in this "pooling" experience because the law doesn't apply to us.
4. The "government" will give eloquent speeches to all employees every week, encouraging it's workers to continue to work hard "for the good of all."
5. The employees will be thrilled with these new policies because it's "good to spread the wealth." Those of you who have underachieved will finally get an opportunity; those of you who have worked hard and had success will feel more "patriotic."
6.The last few people who were hired should clean out their desks. Don't feel bad, though, because President Obama will give you free healthcare, free handouts, free oil for heating your home, free food stamps, and he'll let you stay in your home for as long as you want even if you can't pay your mortgage. If you appeal directly to our democratic congress, you might even get a free flat screen TV and a coupon for free haircuts (shouldn't all Americans be entitled to nice looking hair?) !!! If for any reason you are not happy with the new policies, you may want to rethink your vote on November 4th.

"Sarah Palin believes that women who have been raped and get pregnant must bear the child."
You really like to erect strawmen to tear down don't you? Sarah Palin does hold the personal belief that a child in the womb is a precious life, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the conception of the child. But please do point to ANY quote where Palin actually said that she would "force" the mother to bear the child via the legislative process. |
|
"Sarah Palin believes that women who have been raped and get pregnant must bear the child"
So would any caring human. Killing the baby will not unrape the woman. Why commit murder of the child?, seek revenge instead against the rapist. |
|
O-bama - honorable? That's the last word I'd use. Let's see: -going back on his promise to use govt funds -ACORN voter fraud -campaign donation fraud (see powerlineblog.com on actual example) -suppression of his (3) college records and work record as a community organizer -obsfucation on his relationships with shady figures (20 years in church with an anti-american preacher and didn't notice it) come on -refusal to furnish a birth certificate
Best of all: "throw the RW into a tail spin" that's the only thing you can come up with that O-bama has accomplished in his life. And from a dedicated follower - hilarious!
And talk about tail spins - that can't hold a candle to the tail spin that one straight talking woman with an actual record of accomplshing something in government (PALIN) has thrown the liberals into. [I don't blame you for hanging out here. The base hate on the liberal blogs is too much to bear. Plus you would learn something about economics if you opened your mind.]
Ooh, you cited the (junk bond rated) NYT; it must be true! Look up who pays 80% of the taxes in the U.S. (hint, it is not the ones O-bama wants to send welfare to.....woops, I mean checks) |
|
she is a creationist, she believes in a young earth, she does not believe in evolution, and she thinks raped women should be required to bear children conceived in those circumstances. She is wholly out of touch with the majority of Americans, which is why she has been losing McCain so many votes. People I know (yes, Californians, but PA and Ohio too) are appalled that McCain could have picked an economic savvy person (Romney) or someone with defense and economy chops (Lieberman), and chose this woman to placate the religious right.
That will be postmortem one for us in the GOP who intend to take our party back. If you want a social fringe party, have Sarah be a founder. |

"continuing deregulation so that loans were made to people who could not afford them based on 'stated income', tax incentives to companies who outsource our jobs, and wanting to give illegals amnesty. Let's start there."
Deregulation on loans? You're joking, yes? I guess facts mean nothing to you as it was in fact the Bush administration which first called attention to the shaddy practices of Fannie and Freddie and it was Democrats who fought against regulations for the GSE's.
As for the tax incentives, please explain how Obama raising taxes on companies will encourage them to stay here.
Amnesty was a mistake, I agree. But again, please do tell me how Obama is any different on this.

The hoax you tout about Fannie and Freddie have fallen apart, my friend, because the truth shows the Dems - Barney Frank in particular - looking to protect the poor, and the Rethugs ultimately killing the regulation bill because of - guess what - GREED. Same with ACORN. The Dems put ACORN in place to bring the poor and elderly into the voting booth, and the Rethugs are working hard to vilify it. Funny thing about that: Seems McCain paid a known vote caging and election fraud thug over $150K to perform ACTUAL voter registration fraud that will ACTUALLY affect the election. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/20/mccain-employing-g op-oper_n_136254.html http://www.baltimorechronicle.com/070505Miller-Irmus.shtml |

your anger is strange. I'm not your enemy. Obama isn't your enemy.
Sarah Palin believes that women who have been raped and get pregnant must bear the child. The GOP is against healthcare for children provided by the government. I put those two factors together.
Consider my vote to be a protest vote. I hope that after McCain loses, and brings the entire downticket with him in many places, that people like Rudy and even Romney, people who understand that our personal social views should be tempered by tolerance, can resurrect our party. Joe Lieberman is a prime example for me. Good man, but socially liberal. Would have made a wonderful VP candidate and would have kept me hoping for the GOP, and voting for McCain.
I guess my secularism is offensive to some of you. |

Our dear Nancy is so rabid about Obama for one simple reason........She and all the other female Obamabots (some of the males too) are vying for the "Monica Lewinsky" part as Obama tries to re-live the Clinton Presidency. The most convincing Obama zombie gets the part!!!!! |

Marvin, three places where the Bush administration did us in...continuing deregulation so that loans were made to people who could not afford them based on 'stated income', tax incentives to companies who outsource our jobs, and wanting to give illegals amnesty. Let's start there.
And APB, no need to call me a name or disparage my mother. I'm as good and loyal an American as you are. I pay huge sums in taxes of all kinds. I love my country, I admire John McCain for his past, but his choice of Palin (whose social views are disgusting), coupled with his decision to continue with Bush policies (if I recall, McCain was the ultimate in wanting to 'regularize' illegals in 2007, no?), pushed me to the other side. |

"rather than being driven by social conservatives who seem to think that whether a woman has an abortion after she's been raped is more important than whether the child of that rape has post-birth healthcare, I'll be back."
The conservative movement has always been a coalition of people who care about social, fiscal, limited government, and national security issues, with differing sets of priorities of course. I see nothing about the current conservative movement that neglects everything for the sake of social conservatives.
But for the sake of argument, please point to a single pro-life candidate, past or present, that has said anything even remotely close to the bullcrap you just posted. Otherwise, don't let that door hit you on the way out, because no one who even remotely considers themself conservative on pretty much any level could cast a vote for the VERY liberal Obama..

Anyone want to hold their breath waiting for Hugh to retract and apologize for his breathless announcements yesterday about how an Obama supporter attacked and mutilated a McCain volunteer? The story was false and this McCain volunteer is a sick person who needs help. Nice how she also played the race card in calling her attacker a "black man". Since Hewitt blamed Obama for the attack, I guess we can now blame McCain for the racist and falsified charges, right?
"Police: Campaign Worker Admits Making Up Story
A Pittsburgh police commander told KDKA Investigator Marty Griffin that Ashley Todd confessed to making up the story & is facing charges
Police sources tell KDKA that a campaign worker has now confessed to making up a story that a mugger attacked her and cut the letter "B" in her face after seeing her McCain bumper sticker.
Ashley Todd, 20, of Texas, initially told police that she was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield and that the suspect became enraged and started beating her after seeing her GOP sticker on her car." |

But my gay daughter and her partner live in Columbus Ohio, where they are teachers. They, along with many people in their circle of friends, are voting for Sen. Obama, and my brother and his family, who live outside of Philadelphia, PA, are also voting for Obama. And I, to protest how my party has gone wrong, will of course be voting no on Prop 8; I've sent money to No on Prop 8 that I would have sent to Rudy or Fred, neither of whom are people who really hate gays or 'liberals' since both actually live in the real world with them, as I do, as John McCain did, but as Sarah Palin does not. I cannot imagine a more hateful thing than Prop 8, funded by non-Californian Catholics and Mormons who apparently do not see the irony of people from such flawed institutions funding a proposition that is not a lot different from how the Taliban views gay people. I dare say that much of the hate that I have heard comes pretty darn close to wanting gay people to be 'gone', whatever that might mean to so called God fearing Christians and Jews.
And APB, I fully understand economics. I probably pay more in fed taxes each year than you would dream of earning. But I'm tired of what Bush and the GOP have done to reward companies who take jobs away from the States, and who look the other way where illegals are concerned. When my party returns to its fiscally conservative ways, rather than being driven by social conservatives who seem to think that whether a woman has an abortion after she's been raped is more important than whether the child of that rape has post-birth healthcare, I'll be back.

"Virtually every aspect of Bush administration policies have done us in."
I dare you to name and then demonstrate a SINGLE Bush policy that "did us in."
You see, we can point to actual historical facts about how Bush, Greenspan, McCain and others in the Republican party were pushing for tighter regulations on Fannie and Freddie (you know, the institutions which were at the epicenter of this financial meltdown). We can also point to quotes from DEMOCRATS (Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Chuchy Schumer, et al) who spoke out against and led the charge to block said regulations (BTW, it can also be demonstrated that these same politicians were the biggest recipients of $$$ from Fannie and Freddie, with Dodd even receiving a real sweetheart of a loan from Countrywide, saving him a nice 75,000).
Other than rambling talking points which cannot be backed up with facts, what can you offer? |
|
Ever hear the saying "Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel"? Because that's basically what's happened on the Right. All you have left is flag pins and faux patriotism to cover up the incredible sins of the GOP and Bush and McCain's complicit alliance with the Bush administration.

Ah, the Hoover angle again. And "how wars help the economy" malarky. This is the RW mantra and it ain't working anymore apb.
The bottom line here is YOUR GUYS SCREWED UP. Virtually every aspect of Bush administration policies have done us in. Greenspan even had to admit his "mistake" yesterday. The free market, de-regulation, Reaganomics voodoo DIDN'T work, and the result has been a SPECTACULAR MESS.
And here's a thought. If the war is solely responsible for turning around the gilded age economic mess under FDR, why isn't the same working for Shrub? Because the war machine has been privatized? I don't know, you tell me. |
|
Ralph never was a republican...
If he was concerned about defense - he would have voted republican
If he was concerned about 401K - he would have voted republican
And the other things that he was talking about - gay marriage, abortion, etc. - those were republican standards way before this year and were standards when he supposedly became a republican. If anything, the republican party has become more tolerant of differing views not less tolerant.
And lastly, there isn't a single republican in California who woudl vote for a Democratic leadership in all houses and in the executive - we have seen what it does in California... |
|

The problem with Nancy is that she has lost sight of what the country needs. That's why Country First should be a "calling" to all of those people who will put the welfare of our country of our way of life and keep us safe from impostors who pretend to be Americans, that's why no Pledge of Allegiance, No Flag Pin, no hand raised to the boosoms...problem is her candidate will turn out to be a Kenyan who had to hide his college and university paperwork in order to conceal the fact that he was put through school with foreign assistance funds. The truth will be fothcoming. stay tune boys and girls... |
|
"historically the worst leadership" - don't confuse two years with eight. Do a little research into the Fannie Mae crisis and take responsibility for what the democrats enabled going back years. And remember who has earned the lowest approval rating in history -the Pelosi and Reid followed congress.
Ward, the Dems were looking out for those who needed Fannie May to buy homes where they normally couldn't. That is their sin with Fannie and Freddie. The reality here is that the Dems were NOT in the majority in the legislative branch at that time, and disinclined to filibuster. The majority, if you would kindly recall, were the GOP, and THEY chose not to regulate Fannie or Freddie - it was ultimately THEIR call. Why didn't they follow through on their now-vaunted righteousness over clipping Fannie and Freddie's wings? BECAUSE, Ward, there were too many Rethugs in Congress in special interest's pockets who didn't want regulation. Your own majority voted it down. So really, your argument over Fannie and Freddie falls flat - and it's really you're only argument aimed at Dems over who's the blame for the fall of our economy.
And really, Ward. Pelosi and Reid have been in the majority - and not a filibuster-proof, veto-proof one in the Senate - since 2007. The damage had already been done by then. For the last two years since Democratic majority the GOP has worked hard to keep any legislation worth it's weight from passing. There have been record amounts of filibusters and vetos - I'm sure it's close to the most or the most in our history during a two year timeframe. So the reason for the poor rating is YOU and YOUR party, Ward. Obstructionists and whiners, and how wonderful when the majority of those clowns are swept out the doors of Congress on Jan 2009! |
|
How DID FDR ever turn around that bad old economy?
It was called World War II. And it wasn't due to 'robber barons' - it was the tax policies of Hoover/Obama that took a downturn and prolonged it. |
|
|
Obomber is a Chicago/illinois Dem machine tool. He can SAY anything - maybe you ought to believe your lying eyes more...maybe after he brings some of the good old corrupt Chicago machine magic to D.C.? |
|
Easy Ward, you're sounding as unhinged as McCain.
keep throwing out the stats - the liberal elites are good at that. (O-bama has spent >$20 million on polling alone - not counting Michelle's lobster and Iranian caviar lunches.)---- Get your head out of the elephant's hinie, Ward. Page Six had to retract that nonsense about Michelle and the caviar. Seems it NEVER happened.
And don't twist my words - I said the market is tanking now based on polls in favor of a tax and spend liberal.---And where's your proof? Instead, the market is responding to eight years of economic stupidity under the Bush administration's leadership, bucked up by McCain. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/25/business/25markets.html?p agewanted=1&_r=1&partner=rssyahoo&emc=rss
Tell me, how many times has the country recovered from an econmic downturn via higher taxes and increased spending?----And McCain isn't proposing increasing spending? Don't lie, Ward. How did FDR turn around the economy after the robber barons plundered it? Rolling back the tax cuts for the wealthy is a start, and if you call that a tax hike you're not being honest. It's righting a wrong. And where were you when the country found out that under Obama's policies, Joe the Fake Plumber would do BETTER than he would under McSame.
The other thing I would love to know is what one thing has O-bama accomplished in his life? Just one - convince me he is not a complete stuffed shirt. ----He has completely and utterly thrown the RW and McCain into a hilariously spectacular tail spin. For this, I will be eternally grateful, and frankly, it is attributed to the FACT that the man is honorable, intelligent and eons ahead of any GOP out there with more corrupt legislation under their belt - a pig in lipstick disguised as "experience".

Obama talks alot about bringing people together and uniting and getting past they do politics in Washington. This is the same kind of stuff President Bush was saying in 2000. |
|
|
Very glad you live in CA. Won't matter. |
|
A lifetime Republican, but you don't understand the economy much - the implication of tax policy on market earnings, and the role the Dems played in the banking debacle?
Poor guy. 62 years is a long way to go without understanding cause and effect.
Please, by all means, vote for the Annointed One. The other horsemen of the coming financial apocalypse - Reid, Pelosi and Biden - will welcome you with open arms... |
|
What simpletons like Nancy fail to notice is an economy chugging along very well until the Socialists took control of the House and Senate two years ago.
They gifted us with the Fanancial mess we have now and $145 per barrel of oil. The hippies would not let us build nuke power plants or drill for our own oil.
If Obama were to be elected. Oil would be $200 dollars per barrel with in 4 years. |
|
"SO this how you're going out - blaming the stock market failure on Obama, as if 8 years of bad policies and historically the WORST leadership isn't what caused the meltdown."
Wow - suffer ADD much? 6 years of economic growth after 9/11 - record growth beyond the dot-com bubble under Clinton - and you cite bad leadership.
Simply put - the Dems (Dodd and Frank primarily) took campaign contributions from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, and voted against oversight. Period. ACORN, a Dem tool, was the muscle that pushed banks to take on too many bad loans.
The stock market hasn't failed - it's simply pricing in an expected Obomber win, resulting in increased taxes and lower profit. |

election for our party, the GOP. I have read this and other so-called 'conservative' blogs, and conclude that what many call conservative is simply intolerance. Call me a country club or a Rockefeller Republican, but the party needs people like me to succeed. When you lose me--62 years old, professional, one wife for 36 years, three kids, all grown, married, I've got grandkids--you'll lose a lot of elections. Issues that do not matter to me--abortion (never had one, I think Roe is a fine compromise, cannot believe anyone would insist a woman has a baby against her will (rape/incest), gay marriage (well, on that one, I do have a selfish interest--one of my kids is gay and got married last month because she could here in Southern California--her marriage is reflective, in my opinion, of the long term, strong and happy marriage she saw her mother and me have), Ayers, progressive taxation (which hits me harder I bet than lots of you) as 'socialism', Rev. Wright...that's where you have lost me. You worry about minute stuff, not the important stuff like the economy and defense. Things the GOP should deal with well, but things the GOP has failed to do. Bin Laden and others run amok, my 401K and other accounts (not to mention my real nest egg, the house I've lived in for 30 years, which I paid off, and which I'd like to be able to sell for some retirement ease) in a heap--Bush and the Congress (which for most of his tenure was GOP) have killed those things for now. McCain's choice of Sarah Palin to placate those in our party who are far right and intolerant (in my opinion) of people who are not 'like them' was the final straw.
I love my country. But this life-time Republican is voting early on 11/4 for Barack Obama. |
|
|
The funny thing is if the Socialists would have stayed the coarse and not have let the News Media tell them who to vote for (Obama over Hillary). Hillary would have walked away with this election. |

For the first time I am 80% sure Obama is about to lose this election. He is going to take Murtha and some others with him.
It was a stupid dream in the first place and it is going down the drain fast.
By next Thursday this thing is over. |

ELECTION 2008 Newspaper shows Obama belonged to socialist party Democrat's campaign denied allegations, but new evidence indicates membership Posted: October 24, 2008 By Aaron Klein JERUSALEM – Evidence has emerged that Sen. Barack Obama belonged to a socialist political party that sought to elect members to public office with the aim of moving the Democratic Party far leftward to ultimately form a new political party with a socialist agenda. The New Party, formed by members of the Democratic Socialists for America and leaders of an offshoot of the Community Party USA, was an electoral alliance that worked alongside the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN. The New Party's aim was to help elect politicians to office who espouse its policies. The newspaper lists other politicians it endorsed who were not members but specifies Obama as a New Party member. New Ground, the newsletter of Chicago's Democratic Socialists for America, reported in its July/August 1996 edition that Obama attended a New Party membership meeting April 11, 1996, in which he expressed his gratitude for the group's support and "encouraged NPers (New Party members) to join in his task forces on Voter Education and Voter Registration."
Becoming a New Party member requires some effort on behalf of the politician. Candidates must be approved by the party's political committee and, once approved, must sign a contract mandating they will have a "visible and active relationship" with the party.
The New Party, established in 1992, took advantage of what was known as electoral "fusion," which enabled candidates to run on two tickets simultaneously, attracting voters from both parties. But the New Party went defunct in 1998, one year after fusion was halted by the Supreme Court.

McCain as was Bush had been hand picked by the Media. Go back and read what the media wrote about McCain in the Primary. The man Republicans and Socialists could vote for. The man who could cross over to both parties and the man who could reform the Government. McCain was the clear choice! The Media did the same thing with Bush and Reagan over the conservatives in the primaries. The media thought Reagan was stupid (as they do with all those who run in the RNC) and thought there was no way Reagan or Bush could win vs. their own socialist guy. I voted for Forbes over Bush and Hunter over McCain.
In the general election the media wins no matter what. They have their guy Obama and their other guy McCain. That is why this Country is screwed up.
The Financial systems falls right on the backs of the DNC with their socialist enginering and mandating to the Banks of sub-prime lending. The RNC should have never came in and saved Palousy from this mess.
News coming from vidio of Obama in 1995 saying he is a socialist will cost him this election. TOAST! |
|
Well done. And there is plenty more where that came from.
Interesting to observe the parallel relationship between the increasing number of posts here by liberal trolls and the increasing momentum toward McCain/Palin.
Voting = reality. So remember: just because you read the polls, read all the beautifual stories about O-bama's election being a fait accompli, write posts here, and talk about it with your friends - does not make it true. (Hint: don't beleive everything you read in the MSM.)
|
|
I'm guessing you spent a lot of time venting with your series against Obama. I'm hoping you feel better now and maybe a little more clear-headed. Now, go back over the past 8 years and tell us why, exactly and in detail, you think McCain is the best choice......
|
|
and you should know it. Is this the last vestige of the demoralized Rightwing and their failed campaign? SO this how you're going out - blaming the stock market failure on Obama, as if 8 years of bad policies and historically the WORST leadership isn't what caused the meltdown. Add to that the rubberstamping complicity of the GOP-controlled Congress and McCain backing Bush 90% of the time, and you've got a motherlode of bad news for the GOP.
But hey, good luck with that tactic. It seems to be serving you so well. |

7. My seventh and final point (for now) is your supporters. I have watched the Hollywood entertai ners that support you, systematically embrace Hugo Chavez of Venezuela and others like him. I see the continuous smut and garbage produced by Hollywood , the very people who promote you the most vigorously. ; It is not a positive point to me and others like me to see these over-paid, bizarre, poor examples of human existence fawn over you and push you and your liberal agenda as hard as they do. The way I see it; When the devil is for you, we should question whether or not we should be against you. In closing, I just want you to know that you scare me. I cannot vote for you. It is not because of your skin color. It is because these items I've listed and many, many others like them. Do not claim that my dislike for you is race based. It is because I do not feel you have the best interests of this nation at heart.
Respectfully,
Mark A. Gregg

5. If anything stands out about you it is probably your appeasement mentality. In this era of rampant, radical Islamic extremism and=2 0with the latest stunt pulled by the re-energized Russian government, I am not sure appeasement is healthy. I again revert to the words of Winston Churchill:& nbsp; 'An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.'
6. You and your party tacitly believe that a 13 or 14 year old girl must have the parents approval to have the school nurse provide them with a Tylenol when they have a headache at school. Yet, this same girl can become pregnant and the school can skirt her off to a clinic and abort the child in her body without the parents knowing or being notified. This scares the hell out of me. You have two little girls. Would you be upset if this happened to them and you were not informed? Then why do you stand for this? It makes no sense to me.
|
|
3. You claim Christianity but apparently do not realize that the Bible teaches that he who does not work, does not eat. The Bible does not say or even suggest that he who CANNOT work, should not eat. Yet, your liberal policies reward people who are capable of working, but choose to not do so. This bothers me. I know that if you are elected our taxes will spiral upwards. You should heed the words of Winston Churchill: 'We contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle.' If I like anything about you, it is your campaign promise to balance the federal budget. Unfortunately, we have heard this a huge number of times from a number of different politicians and we realize that when you energize t he very liberal Nancy Pelosi, Robert Byrd, Ted Kennedy, etc, etc, and the many other democrats like them, a balanced budget will never, ever happen on your watch.
4. During your question and answer session with Rick Warren of Saddleback Church your answer concerning the question of where does life begin, stunned me: 'Above your pay grade?' Does this mean when something bad happens as President of this nation that you are going to look at your salary to determine if you can respond? I am sorry, but this was the most serious gaffe I have seen you make. Frankly, it shows me that you are pandering in the most obvious manner. You will choose your words not from your heart, but from an agenda that I believe is still hidden from the American people.
|
|
2. You have the single most liberal voting record in the senate. This indicates to me and others like me that you may very well be an angry black man seeking to punish our country for sins of a different g eneration. I am not racist. I have some biases just like you and every other human alive. Unlike the democratic party who claims to be for the minority (but their record heavily refutes this), I will give any person who truly needs help, help. I married a 'minority' girl 35 years ago (she is Hispanic) and have seen the evils of prejudice first hand. However, I have also seen my wife and my c hildren and others in her family throw off the veil of self imposed prejudicial bondage and move ahead. They love our country and do not view themselves any different than I view myself as a citizen of this country. Your lovely wife so disappointed people like me during this campaign when she stated it was the first time she had ever been proud of this country. She apparently never noticed the massive aid we give dozens of other countries. She apparently never noticed the sacrifice of literally millions of veterans who helped=2 0make this country a free nation and helped liberate other nations from brutal dictators such as Adolf Hitler. She apparently does not remember that she attended ivy league universities with scholarship money that ultimately (at least some of it) was paid for by our taxes. This troubles me more than you know. She is an angry black woman who appears to not like her country very much. I don't want her representing me to the rest of the world.

1. I hear your mantra of change, change, change. Yet, you picked a long term, liberal, Washington insider (Joe Biden) to be your running mate. This is NOT change. It is a move that hypocritically refutes the very thing you supposedly stand for. Your campaign then slammed McCain for picking Sarah Palin, apparently, because she is NOT a Washington insider. She is a maverick who cleaned-up Alaska 's quagmire of political scandals. Which way is it, Barack? Is it okay for y ou to pick a Washington insider under the mantra of 'change', but not okay for John McCain to pick a smart, aggressive, reformer?

It is diving in anticipation of the tax & spend policies of O-bama. Insiders are taking their losses and investing elsewhere. This is a story O-bama's house organs (MSM) will have a hard time supressing. So keep reading your polls, and cheering the transcendent one's victory prepartions - if it makes you happy, do it.
Americans that make up the fabric of this country may not be intellectual elites, but they can see through the fog of lies and deception and will vote accordingly. |
|
The Media have their polling with the socialists ahead in every election cycle. 3, 4, and 5 to 1 the media play negative news stories about the American running vs the Socialists.
Even on election day, the media call the race long before the polls close for the socialist.
The only way a socialist wins elections out side of the g ay bay, NY and LA are if they talk more conservative then the RNC guy they run against. If the socialists were able to keep more poor people on the DNC plantation and buy their votes though spread the wealth type issues they will win. If there are more people who understand how much they have paid in taxes for socialists to buy those votes with, then the socialists will lose.

IBD was the MOST accurate poll 4 yrs ago.. |

As we can see, polls have BHO way ahead. Ahead in the states which matter. Still, McCain voters must not just stay home. There are down ticket races. Sure Americans hate Congress but the old saw is, not their Rep.! The fact the voters are ignorant of economics, history, our heritage and our military doesn't seem to faze them as they go down the Yellow Brick road to the Messiah. I hope posters read Charles Krau. article today. Knowing the lemmings in the Dem Party and even with so called born again liberal Christians which stories say now have overtaken Evangelical Christians in their love for the Messiah, it will not matter. The Dow people know. They are reacting already to an Obama Presidency. I actually fear for the Republic with his victory. One knows that our entire nation will change; but it will not be for the best as we shall see in a year from now. |
|
Hugh Hewitt yesterday was touting an IBD poll that showed Obama ahead by only 1.1%. It is a clear outlier.
But the big deal was when you look at the voter breakouts. They had McCain leading Obama by a 3 to 1 margin in 18 to 24 year olds ! Even the pollsters put an asterisk on that number.
Today he is claiming that Pennsylvania is in play by touting a poll that shows McCain down 7 points.
Dear Hugh,
Romney went down to defeat to a man you called a great american but a rotten senator. Now that rotten senator is going down to Barack Obama and he is losing BIG.
You might as well tell your readers the truth.
They will find out anyway.

538 puts the chances of this scenario at 0.44%, or one in 227. Lottery-level odds.
Hugh is going to have a lot of straw when this is over; he spends his days grasping at it. |
|
Poor Hugh.
How many remember him calling Harriet Miers the most qualified woman to serve on the SCOTUS and then predicting she would be confirmed?
How many remember Hugh telling us that the Republicans would hold the Congress in 2006?
How many remember Hugh reassuring us that Rick Santorum would win re-election and to ignore the polls?
How many recall Hugh telling us that John McCain's campaign was dead multiple times during the primary season.
How many recall Hugh telling us that Mitt Romney's speech on religion was comparable to Lincoln's address to the country and would forever change the face of politics?
How many remember Hugh telling us that Hillary Clinton would be the nominee to face Mitt Romney?
Do I need to go on? Hugh has been wrong on every major issue during the last two election cycles. Now we have polls out in the last 24 hours that not only demonstrate that the Palin pick was a liability, that Ayers and Rezko backfired on the campaign, but that the silly Joe "The Plumber" and socialist charges ended up hurting John McCain significantly in deep red states.
As of this morning, Obama is up by more than 8 points in the poll of polls, including 9 in the Fox News poll. More dire is that Obama is now up in deep red states like Georgia, Montana and North Dakota. Pennsylvania and Virginia are now out of reach and McCain will be lucky to get 150 electoral votes. Yet Hugh has yet to acknowledge a single mistake or provide any honest analysis as to why he has been so wrong.

there you go again, "nancy". Now go back, tune in, and find out what, "olbernutter, and legs matthews", have to say today!! Those will be your marching orders for the day. You seem to be a poll watcher, so here's one, John Murtha 34.7%, Bill Russell 47.8%. If nothing else happens, then let this piece of human debris, get his comeuppance.
Tell me "nancy", when you get the shock of your life, come the first Tuesday in November, 08', will you call for calm or will you be out there burning the town down, along side ACORN and the rest of the anarchist, left. Also, when obambi, heard the reports earlier this week, about the real likelihood of riots, after the election, why did he not call for calm, or will he follow the lead of one of his homeboys, Raila Odinga, who's followers went on a 2 week rampage, burning Christian churches, with Christians still in them, after he lost. Mr. Odinga, an obambi confidant and friend and someone who he campaigned for in that losing election.
As the stock market tanks, fearing an obambi, win. When he loses, though, there will be a rally to end all rallies. Buy stock, now. |

Most investors know the devil is in the details - and the details of Obama's economic plans are anything but reassuring.
Of course, the market turmoil is first a reflection of grim reality - the bursting of the housing bubble and the billions upon billions in writedowns and losses that have forced upon the hugely leveraged financial firms companies that had cranked big profits during the bubble years.
The resulting credit crunch is hitting Main Street harder than ever before. The country is headed for recession; the only question is: Just how low can the markets and economy go?
It could be a lot lower - it all depends on the policies of the next president.
And, as it looks increasingly likely that Obama will be that man, the markets are casting a vote of "no confidence."
Recently, Obama said he wants to expedite loans to small businesses, so he seems to have a clue that they produce much of the country's job growth. Yet his income-tax hike on upper brackets will hit vast numbers of small businesses - they'd face the highest rates they've seen in decades.
Overall, his plan includes some of the most lethal tax increases imaginable, including a jump in the capital-gains rate. He'd expand government spending massively, with everything from new public-works projects to increases in foreign aid to a surge in Afghanistan - plus hand out a token $500 welfare check that he calls a tax cut to everyone else.
I look at Obama's record differently. From his days as a community activist, to his years in the Illinois Senate and now his brief time in the US Senate, he has shown little inclination to deviate from his party's tax-and-spend orthodoxy.

Yes, McCain fans....PLEASE beg them to spend their few remaining resources all in Pennsylvania.
Pay no attention to Virginia, Florida, Colorado, and North Carolina.
Obama could lose PA, OH, MO, FL, NC, IN and STILL get to 270 with CO and VA.
Of course, it helps that he's leading in most of those states, and tied in the ones he's not. |

Oh the fun we'll have with Obama the next four to eight years if he pulls this off. This report that they are listening to testimony about doing away with 401(k) should shock no one.

And honestly, I am kinda glad. It was so nerve-racking with the ups and downs of the market. I mean, so what if the stock market averaged a 10% return over the years, it was just down right stressful having money invested in there. Now I can be assured of getting a solid 3% no matter what.
Buckle up kids, the American Idol president is coming our way, and he has all kinds of plans to protect us from ourselves. |

Yes, cling to that tiny speck of a chance at certain disaster. Can the stars align in such a way as to bring such a devastating catastrophy upon us? Well, yeah - there's a slight, slight chance. Let's hope, like Palin herself has invoked God for, that the powers of light and good intervene, karmic energy prevails, and McCain is soundly "thrumped" on election day. It's really our only hope. |
