"I am using the same calculus that Obummer used in determining that unemployment would be at 8% by June of 2009."

So they made a prediction and turned out to be wrong. What's so surprising or unusual about that? A list of government predictions that were wrong would be immense, and utterly bi-partisan.

"It is difficult to make predictions, especially about the future"

Great question.
I am using the same calculus that Obummer used in determining that unemployment would be at 8% by June of 2009.
Surely even you can understand Obummer's math?

"It was the dollar amount the Left focused on MOST. ... They focused more on the "expensive" nature of her wardrobe. LESS was made of the RNC footing the bill"

How did you measure which aspect was MOST of the coverage? Please give us your actual numbers.

The entire issue regarding Palin's wardrobe was ridiculous. First of all she was asked to be a running mate and was put on the stage immediately. I am sure the clothing that she wore in Alaska probably would have been scrutinized by the loony left in the lower 48. They surely would have put her out as a moose hunting idiot who did not even have the sense to dress for the VP part. Michelle Obama on the other hand is full well that all the world is watching. People would be happy to have 6,000 to pay their mortgage and even if the purse was 900 as they now claim that is still a lot of money to many who are out of work. They touted her as the J Crew queen but now we see that that was just another fable to fool the libs. The sneakers and the bag are by no means J Crew purchases and I would bet that most of her apparel is not as well.

That's correct, lightweight.
They focused more on the amount.
They focused more on the "expensive" nature of her wardrobe.
LESS was made of the RNC footing the bill, lightweight.
Much MORE was made of the dollar amount.

For you to ignore this reveals the level of density you operate from.

Indeed, you are a jacka$$.

BUT----you go ahead and once again attempt to change the subject----take the focus off Michelle Obama and her $6,000.00 handbag and her $500.00 sneakers---'cuz that is your ultimate objective.

Do you EVER read the stories you link?

Paragraph 2: "And yet I received the most reader responses in the history of this e-letter when I poked fun at the news that the Republican National Committee had spent $150,000 in less than two months to outfit Alaska Governor and vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin."

And if you think the Washington Post is "left," you don't read the Washington Post.

But you know what? When you make a fool of yourself over and over again, and then address me as "Vladischmear---jacka$$," I don't really care what you think.

Vladischmear---jacka$$
No, she was not. The narrative of the Left was the AMOUNT ($150,000.) of money spent.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/1 0/30/AR2008103002041.html

...on the amount ($150,000.00)

It was the dollar amount the Left focused on MOST.
The media commented endlessly on the AMOUNT ($150,000.00).

Actually, the sound you hear is people laughing at you for, yet again, posting something that is the opposite of what you say it is.

From your own link - "After sticking to their initial claim, the high-end leather manufacturer is now backing off. "If that's what the White House is saying, then it's a patent bag," admitted VBH rep Kelly Vitko."

You also say, "Palin was castigated last fall for her "wardrobe", how expensive it appeared, etc., etc."

No, Palin was criticized because the party paid for her wardrobe. Cindy McCain was always dressed to the nines and nobody said anything about it.

Moreover, if you think Michelle Obama actually PAYS for that stuff, you probably think basketball stars spend a lot of money on their shoes, too.
clarityseeker writes: Thursday, July, 09, 2009 3:40 PM
Michelle's got a brand new bag...
Palin was castigated last fall for her "wardrobe", how expensive it appeared, etc., etc.
The media and Liberals loved critiqueing her new "threads".
They made asanine comments about the symbolism of it all.

Now------reports are out that Michelle Obama was sportin' a new handbag in Russia a few days ago. The Italian designer identified it as their own, VBH "manila bag". The cost? $6,000.00.
Except now the white house is saying its NOT the 6 grand version but the $900.00 one.
Yeah----right. As if the manufacturer of the bag does not know their own product.

http://www.nydailynews.com/lifestyle/fashion/2009/07/09/200 9-07-09_michelle_obama_flashes_expensive_taste_carries_5950 _black_bag_alligator_russia_.html

SIX THOUSAND DOLLAR HANDBAG for Michelle----but no media comments. Not a peep from the Liberal-losers who made such a big deal of Palin's "accessories".
Oh yeah---Michelle was seen a couple of weeks ago wearing some French sneakers. Only $500.00 a pair for those puppies. Still no comment from the press, from the loser-Liberals.
AND-----the symbolism of it all.
I mean, the country is at 9.5% unemployment.
People are having their homes foreclosed in huge numbers.
People are starving.
People can't pay their electric bills.
People can't pay to fill their cars with gasoline.

BUT----Michelle Obama can go around, showing off her 6,000.00 handbag.
And she can protect those huge, massive feet with $500.00 sneakers.
Man----it's good to be the king---and queen.

Shhhhhhh....listen......that silence is the sound of the Liberal media reporting on her wardrobe.

Francis favorite quote makes no sense
Become an internationalist and respect all life. Make war on machines. And in particular the sterile machines of corporate death and the robots that guard them...Abbie Hoffman

There is a Wayne Francis that owns a real estate company in Jacksonville, Fl...the picture on the Internet looks like Francis about 30-years ago.

Of course, I could be wrong but that would be rare.

Nevertheless, Francis says Down Syndrome is just too cute to be reserved for 1 in 800 births. So the guy doesn't respect all life after all.

He's also a member of the corporate world another sign that Francis is actually an anus.

Nobody in the GOP is saying "No." They have solutions that the left is saying NO to. It's their way or no way. But you wouldn't hear about their solutions because nobody will cover them.

Behind every "no" there is an alternative and a compromise. Shouldn't it rather make you think about what is trying to be pushed through under the radar when that large of a portion of people want to stop it or have more time to debate and consider all of the options?

Nah...thinking and debating and LISTENING TO YOUR CONSTITUENTS must be in poor fashion.

Hey. How's that stimulus working for you?

Yes certainly a sick way to make fun of a 14 year old girl. Anyone who would even find this the least bit amusing is sick. Anyone with a respectable bone in their body finds this repulsive. Bet we know those on here that probably laughed don't we.
SJA writes: Thursday, July, 09, 2009 12:34 PM
The far left
It is pretty scary that the far left is so sick right now that they would even make these kinds of statements. It is not the first time and probably will not be the last. People that are as vile and moronic as this believe that they should run the country. Doesn't that tell you just how out of control things have become. Palin and her family have been treated worse than anyone has ever been treated before. keep this up and not one decent family person will ever run for office. We will have nothing more than a bunch of scum worse than we now have. I guess some of you fools won't care as long as they label themselves libs.

It's not about journalism completely here. It's the fact that people find it acceptable to speak about a child with a genetic disorder beyond his control. Just because Sarah Palin was courageous enough to make the decision to let Trig live rather than taking the easy road doesn't make it wrong.

I would know. I made the same choice that she did. (Only in my case the doctors were WRONG. My son DOES NOT have Down Syndrome like they said he would.)

You have to have faith.

It is the sickness of individuals that put crap out, as a parent of a down syndrome son of almost 30 years taking cheap shots at anyone regarding their disabled child is lower than low, but who cares about standards we have a need to be superior to the other side so classless jabs are really needed to make a point.
