Presumably, Scott McClellan Won't Be Getting One of These
Posted by: Mary Katharine Ham at 9:11 AM
This is President Bush doing what President Bush does in a way most presidents don't-- congratulating an Air Force Academy grad:

Photobucket

Meanwhile, the back-stabby swan song of the mediocre press secretary continues unabated.

Karl Rove compared him to a left-wing blogger. Ouch!

Uh Bob. They are not Chest bumping!

Chest Bumping
There's an interesting contrast with a picture from about a week ago, on the entry titled "California Supreme Court To Rule On Prop 8 Tuesday" by Greg Hengler. It also shows two males bumping their chests together. Of it, paddy o'furniture commented: "Are the freak-boy pictures really necessary. I'm trying to eat here......!" and Cicero wrote: "Picture's worth a thousand words." DanNV commented: "Look again at the picture and tell me just who the "freakazoids" are!" Other comments by The Usual Gang of Idiots were in the same vein.

Arch says

Uh, Bob Munck. That picture does not show chest bumping. Take a gander again and you will see they are crotch grinding each other. A sick and deviant display of gaydom!
Eugene writes: Thursday, October, 22, 2009 11:48 PM
Bob...
That would be a nice analogy. But I think it's safe to say that while Bush may be a lot of things unpopular, he isn't a 'golden boy'.
While the gentlemen (???) in the photo you reference clearly are. Another straw dog from straw Bob.

BTW. I see large NFL players chest thumping all of the time. Write the same about them and then present it to them personally.

Let me know how that works out for you.

And just what is your obsession with everything gay anyway?

Can't get a date?
Cicero writes: Thursday, October, 22, 2009 10:50 PM
I'm guessing. . .
the Shrub was still doing nose candy when that photo was taken.

WWJS?

(What would Jefferson say?)

Photo of Bush's chest bump.
Bush an embarrassment? give me a break. Nothing could be worse than sitting in a racist anti American church for 20 yrs. having your children indoctrinated by rev. wrights rhetoric and baptized by this nut case and than saying duh I didn't know. that my friends is embarrassing. Obama's teleprompter is embarrassing, Obama's inability to choose a cabinet member that isn't a crook that is embarrassing. Having this apologetic, appeasing approval seeking idiot represent the United States as a leader is embarrassing. I will take Bush back any day. you can keep your Kenyan!
Kelly writes: Saturday, May, 30, 2009 9:25 PM
President Bush.
President Bush was the last President this country has seen. How can the left wing ding dongs not take countries seriously that preach hatred towards other races of people? If Iran is saying Jews are monkeys and need to be wiped off the face of the earth, we need to listen and act accordingly. I think they are a serious threat. Bush had it right. stand up to evil and call it what it is.

Mr. Bush photo with Air Force grad
This is one of the many reasons I feel GW was THE greateast President of my lifetime. He is a real person with true feelings and not afraid to show them.
Mary Katherine, I wish more of these bloggers would see that there is a real caring person here instead of one who worries about media or others opinions.

Thanks, Mike

Election tools for your state
Dear Friend:

Are you ready yet for the November 4th Elections? How about your friends, family, and neighbors?
More Americans are expected to vote this year than ever before in history, so don’t be left out! Be sure to ask everyone you know the following questions:
• Are you registered to vote? If you moved recently, have you updated your voter registration?
• Did you apply for an Absentee Ballot? Do you know your state may not require any reason?
• Can you find your local Polling Place? Do you know it may have changed from last time?
The answers to these questions -- and all your voting needs -- can be found at http://www.StateDemocracy.org

Did you see any Generals with bars doing the same?.........Do you think that it's comon in the halls of the Pentagon?.....Would Reagan have done it?

He's an idiot and an embarassment to true conservatism.

Advice Sought
Sorry to derail this stimulating and high-toned debate, but I'd like to contact Mary Katherine Ham. I host a public access show in NYC and I have been libeled (slandered?) in a YouTube video produced by a typical anonymous cretin. I'm trying to find out what legal recourses are available to me. Who better to inform me of my rights than the "Internet Cop" herself?

[After using a cigar on an intern, a chest bump is embarrassing? Get a life. This was probably a huge thrill for that graduate.]

How about a nice, hearty handshake and a "Thank you for choosing to serve your country, Cadet"?

[And, it also shows that just because he's the CIC, doesn't mean he is unapproachable.]

Somehow I can't imagine any of his predecessors, expect maybe Billy Bob Clinton, doing this.

Obama--Mr. Jay-Zee
Kimberly wrote: Statesman? More like Buffoon.

I see the picture, but I haven't played the clip.
Looks like harmless fun.

I thought Obama's Jay-Zee-like shoulder brushing was considerably more juvenile.

I have a nephew entering the U.S. Naval Academy in a month. When he graduates in four years, I hope (and pray) that President McCain speaks at his commencement.

Back stabby swan song for sure
but what I really want to know is whether what Scott McClellan says in his book is true or false. Of course, politics has its soap opera aspects, that is why everyone enjoys writing, blogging, commenting, etc -- but at a certain point one needs to ask what is really going on with the leadership of our country. I remmber the (perhaps now abandoned) military recrutiment slogen -- it's not just a job, it's an adventure. To paraphrase, politcs is not just a plot-line, its real. And in the real world, what matters most is whether the allegations in the book are true.
Nee writes: Thursday, May, 29, 2008 11:04 AM
Gee, Sorry
Monkey Girl...you're the buffoon. This is one of those moments that just happen. And, it also shows that just because he's the CIC, doesn't mean he is unapproachable. BDS sufferers like you don't have sense to see that this is a great moment. Is it any different from any other president who has gone into a crowd of people and held that cute little baby in his arms and kissed it? Nope. Character is still king and although Bush has not done everything I would have liked- at least he is steadfast and true to his troops.

Back Stabby?
Isn't putting your party and a draft dodging, drunk driving, cocaine snorting, AWOL, chickenhawk, lying, CIA agent outing, treasonous, torture condoning, budget busting, war criminal not playing golf president ahead of your country back stabby?

George Bush's 1st address to the nation on Iraq.

' Iraq is an imminent threat' (paraphrased)

Over 100,000 Iraqi women and children DEAD and over 4,000 of our troops dead. On your/my dime and in your/my name Ms Ham. The difference is I recognize the truth and I take blame while you still condone it... because...it's a living for you.

Who's is the back stabber Ms. Ham?
