Energy: A Top Priority for Obama, But Not for Voters

The White House homepage today highlights the Obama administration's dedication to "lead the global economy in clean energy." Congress is eagerly awaiting the end of the health care debate so it can take up the Democrats' cap-and-trade plan. But the latest word from the American people is that energy policy is dead last on their priority list these days.
A recent poll from USA Today shows that even when Barack Obama was elected president last November, only 6% of Americans thought energy should be his top priority. Now, a year later, even fewer think this policy warrents the White House's full attention. Only 2% of Americans now think the President's top priority should be energy, well-behind other top concerns like the economy, Iraq and Afghanistan, health care and the federal budget deficit.
With this insight, why is the Obama administration continuing to pursue its cap-and-trade policy as if it were a top priority? And since the nation's economy and budget deficits are so high on Americans' priority lists, why would the administration pursue cap-and-trade knowing that it would have significant negative impacts on business' bottom lines, homeowners' pocketbooks and the nation's economy as a whole?
PS--Why is the White House website reporting that the stimulus plan has "created or saved" jobs for "over one million people" when its own Recovery.gov is only reporting 640,000?

Obama is a liar, a fake, phony, an imposter and an obamination to the way of life of the people of the united States of America. Our forefathers would have hanged him and let his sorry carcass rot right off his bones before they took him down and bured him '10' feet underground. So... it's easy for Obama to be 'unamerican' because he was born in Kenya....it is as plain as the nose on your face he isn't a US Citizen because he refuses to show proof of his Citizenship, and he would be more than happy to oblige the general public and do just that if he could. Also as plain as the nose on your face is the fact that a whole shiitload of 'antiamerican one world orderists' are aiding and abetting him in this conspiracy and treason perpetrated on the America people in order to help him effect the demise of this great country.
It is coming...the people are going to stand up and demand his removal, along with all the other snakes in Washington real soon. And when they do - I want to be in the first row. |

Care about jobs.Barak Obama,his czarist administration and the freak show democrats in congress are responsible for taking a bad but fixable economic situation and using it to blaze a path of destruction through this country.
The real Pravda{not the American Lame Street Media}in Russia is comparing Obama's economic policies to the policies of the Soviet Union before it's collapse.And I never thought a communist news organization was this capable of seeing reality.Certainly the Lame Street Media isn't.
