Trade Time Out
Posted by: Amanda Carpenter at 8:29 PM
Whoa. Hillary Clinton just called for a "trade time out" and a "trade prosecutor" in the CNN Texas debate.

Here's her quote: "I want to have a trade time out. We're going to see what's working and not working. And, I'd like to have a trade prosecutor to actually enforce the trade agreements we have before we enter into any others."

I'll have a full-wrap up of the debate on the homepage after it's over.

Oh, what a relief.
WOW. Go figure! There's a possibility that we MIGHT JUST have a leader in the WH who will actually consider utilizing good, old fashioned intellect for a change in decision-making, and not ideologic stay-the-course bumbling.

"free trade?"
Since the Democrats passed NAFTA in 1993, signed by Bill Clinton, thus going into effect in 1994, in addition to his normalized trade with China and decision to join the WTO, not to mention a barrage of other similar agreements since, we have seen the loss of over 3.6 million good paying manufacturing jobs turned into Wal Mart specials.

Initially, only blue-collar jobs left the country, but as we have seen as of late, more and more white-collar jobs are seeing the same fate.

It is much less costly to send jobs to a nation that pays their workers 33 cents per hour and provides their healthcare. To set up where you don't have to pay worker's compensation premiums can be advantageous.

This accomplishes increased corporate profits, but at what expense? This works out well for those able to play the stock market, but what about the 94% of Americans that make less than $100,000 per year?

It is beyond me why anyone would support an agenda guaranteed to bring hardship upon millions of our fellow citizens just so a few can rack up the dough.

A Voice of Independence
I am an undicided independent who has voted equally Democratic as Republican, even once Independent.

Tonight all I heard was two people telling me how NOT BUSH they are, not differentiating why we should choose one over the other.

This was not a debate of choice and distinction it was an Obama-nation of Hillary-faire indifference!

keep talking
Go Hillary! Federal Power Rules!

Obama responds: "We're gonna cut off all trade until the other countries institute a living minimum wage!"

And the crowd goes wild...
