That ok cause obama is gonna by me a car an make my house paymenets and help my kids get in that same school. i love obama and he gonna help me he say so. |

Yeah, the Obamas' are just like all of we regular folk...what a joke! |
|
I think it was Charles Darwin who never said, "Government schools are not the fittest and must be protected by a monopoly in order to survive."
Vouchers are the answer. With them, we can reach the goal of educating our children and give more than lip service to the goal we used to have of individual liberty. |

Obama took millions from the teachers' unions and then showed his disdain for the public schools. He has the financial resources to send his children to private schools, yet he wants the rest of us to send our children to schools that aren't good enough for his. This is typical liberal hypocrisy. |

is LIBERAL HYPOCRISY!! It must have reached high Heaven by now!!

Scroll through the comments from the left about my post and it proves my second point-the left will defend Obama when he makes choices they normally would crucify a Republican for.
It is not my imagination: liberals traditionally have criticized parents for sending their kids to private, elite academies. Often, liberals state the real reason the wealthy send their kids to these schools is to avoid the problems of the typical "urban", i.e. black, school. Parents are criticized for removing their kids, instead of keeping them in public schools, becoming involved in the public school, and trying to solve its problems.
Obama campaigned as a champion of the middle class, as the candidate of 'Yes, We Can' not 'Yes, I Can'. Part of his appeal was helping "working" Americans have many of the same choices the elite have-in health care, tax breaks, etc. But when it comes to public education, Barack Obama is more than willing, due to his wealth, to make choices that otherwise would be impossible for millions of "working" Americans. As a matter of fact, he won't even lift a finger to make it easier for millions of "working" Americans to make this choice he and Michelle have made. No, regular Americans who can't afford 30k private tuitions have to send their kids to the crummy schools in their neighborhood.
That's called hypocrisy, folks. So much for the change we can believe in. With each passing day, in decisions great (Cabinet) and small ( school selection), Obama is proving himself to be just another pol. |

Now this is change we can believe in. This is 'our time' and don't anyone dare say black girls don't deserve to attend the same school as Chelsea Clinton. The only problem is - Michelle and Hussein campaigned on the concept that they get it and McCain does not because McCain and Cindy were stuck in the 'rich man's world' of private jets and private schools. Hollar back my peeps - change is here and hope is a long way coming. After all, when in private school, daddy can rub sholders with the wealthy parents who might fund his re-election bid and he can learn a thing or two about being an executive. I suppose the internship program for Obama is linked to this private school choice. Now that is why we must focus less on his private school tuition and more on Bush's failed policies - so that we can stay angry and envious. The man is finally a non-caucasian - who knew? |

Frankly, I could care less where the Obama girls go to school, but there are two reasons why Obama's choice will be noticed. First,it shows how easy it is for Obama to make choices he otherwise wants to deny regular middle class parents. The second reason it's a big deal is it underscores the willingness of the Kool-Aid drinkers to excuse Obama for things they would normally crucify a Republican for.

Obama's not denying anyone any choices. If someone can pay for private school, so be it. And when has anyone "crucified" a Republican president for sending their kids to a private school? |

The guy's going to be making $400K a year. I'd say he can afford $60K for the kids' schooling. |

We all know conservative blogs like this are a safe haven for racist demagoguery. |

Not very PC......
How 'bout..........Jimmy Carter dipped in caramel????? |

Why is this the "obvious choice, mainly for security reasons"?
Amy Carter went to DC public schools and I don't recall any "security" incidences. Jenna Bush went to the University of Texas and I don't recall any "security" issues. Which is easier to secure, a college campus or an elementary school? Only a fool, or a liberal, would suggest the elementary school is the tougher situation for the Secret Service.

Sidwell Friends? Check. Clinton at State? Check. Holder. Check. Richardson. Check. Rahm Emmanuel Check. Reconsidering withdrawal from Iraq. Check. Reconsidering shutting down Guantanamo. Check. The more Barack continues, the more it appears we are getting Clinton-in-black-face.
