[MaineConservative on May 17, 2008 7:51 PM]"Maybe he can come up with a good assasination joke"
Do you consider the story below: a joke? fiction? part of actual history?
The Book of Ether, Chapter 15. in The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ http://scriptures.lds.org/en/ether/15 29 Wherefore, he did pursue them, and on the morrow he did overtake them; and they fought again with the sword. And it came to pass that when they had all fallen by the sword, save it were Coriantumr and Shiz, behold Shiz had fainted with the loss of blood. 30 And it came to pass that when Coriantumr had leaned upon his sword, that he rested a little, he smote off the head of Shiz. 31 And it came to pass that after he had smitten off the head of Shiz, that Shiz raised up on his hands and fell; and after that he had struggled for breath, he died.

Grandma always told me: If it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck tastes like a duck. It's a duck.
Same with Huckie. If he talks likea democrate Walks like a democrate tastes like a democrate it's a democrate. |

to try to appear conservative. They ask him to balance their panel by presenting a Republican viewpoint. But on MSNBC, he seemed unwilling to express a view critical of the Democrats. There were no fireworks, not even a provocation, and no contrast with Wilie Brown. I don't know what I expected but it seemed to me he was trying to be too diplomatic, trying not to alienate the left. The result is that he was unpersuasive and dull.
So he has a chance to atone on MTP. Lets see if he continues with the neutral commentary. I think if he gives up his political aspirations, he would feel much freer to speak from the heart, his true opinions, and do an excellent job as a TV commentator. But he cannot do both simultaneously and do either of them justice. He is too aftraid of the effects of negative campaigning so say anything that might be perceived as negative.
Well, maybe if he tells enough jokes, no one will notice his commentary is milktoast. |
