Guest Post from Ben Shapiro: "The Jewish Case Against Barack Obama"
Posted by: Hugh Hewitt at 7:03 PM
My name is Ben Shapiro, and I'm a nationally syndicated columnist with Creators Syndicate, as well as a Harvard Law-educated lawyer in Los Angeles.  I'm also a huge fan of Hugh's show and his website, so it was truly an honor and a pleasure when Hugh offered to have me put up a guest post on the site.

I'm an Orthodox Jew -- my wife hails from Israel, where we were just married in July.  So the issue of Israel is very near and dear to me, as it is to most other Jews.  With Israel in mind, this is an enormous election season for American Jewry.  It pits a consistently strong defender of Israel in John McCain against a man who is at best an enigma on the issue of Israel.  At worst, Barack Obama is far more dangerous.  His advisors are largely anti-Israel.  His friends are consistently anti-Israel.  His running mate, Joe Biden, says all of the right things but has a questionable record on the Jewish State.  And the candidate himself is ambivalent on his defense of Israel -- he reversed himself on a united Jerusalem over the course of 24 hours, and states that he will meet with Hitler-lite Mahmoud Ahmadinejad without preconditions.

And yet most American Jews are convinced that Obama is a less threatening version of Bill Clinton.  They believe that Obama loves the State of Israel, will stand up for Israel's interests, and only wants to see the Israelis come to a quick and just agreement with Palestinian Arabs that protects Israel's long-term safety and security.

There is no evidence to that effect.  In fact, all the evidence points in the opposite direction.

To the end of educating American Jews on Israel -- as well as Israel's non-Jewish American supporters -- I've produced a three-part YouTube video entitled "The Jewish Case Against Barack Obama.  The trailer for the video (1 minute, 40 seconds) can be found here. Part I, which introduces the subject and discusses Obama's advisors, who have ranged from the virulently pro-Palestinian Samantha Power to the Carter-style anti-Israel advocate Zbigniew Brzezinski, can be found here. Part II discusses two of Obama's friends: Reverend Wright, who associates with Louis Farrakhan and believes that America's Israeli policy is responsible for 9/11; and Rashid Khalidi, a former spokesman for the Palestine Liberation Organization.  Part II can be found here. Part III examines Joe Biden and Obama himself, and concludes that the Democratic nominee for president cannot be trusted with the future of Israel.  Part III can be found here.

For fifty years, Jews have been gratefully voting for Harry Truman.  Truman, unfortunately, is gone, and his party has largely become a respository of anti-Semitic and anti-Israel sentiment.  Jews cannot live in the past when it comes to 2008.  They must make a choice between McCain and Obama.  When it comes to Israel, the choice is clear.

Why Jews should vote for Barak Obama
I live in a heavily orthodox area in suberban Cleveland, Ohio. I can deal with the McCain/Palin signs, but today I have reached my limit. Some rightwing idiot put a copy of Shapiro's guest post, plus another piece of anti-Obama, and racist, literature in my mailbox. What a bunch of horse manure. On top of that, it is illegal in Ohio (and probably every state) to use the malbox for anything other than US mail. I know most of my neighbors are supporting them because of the misinformed belief that McCain will support Israel more strongly. Most of them could not even tell me what is the evidence for this, and what are the candidats views on a miriad of other issues. They have been told to vote for McCain by some Rebbe who they don't even know. They are one issue voters who don't give a damn about America. They are hippocrites. If they love Israel so much, they should emigrate, and put their family's life on the line. I lived in Israel for several years and served in the army reserve. They sit here safe in the US, enjoying the fruits of our immense freedom, while voting on one issue that doesn't even involve the US. Give me a break! There is no evidence that Obama will be anti-Israel. If he wants to help some of the hunreds of thousnds of apolitical suffering Palistinins, fine me. That will really help Israel. If their lot is improved, they will be less likely to listen to the hate mongors and anti-semites trying to influence the.

And you and all your liberal friends didn't want to see a black man named Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court (ten times smarter and more talented and articulate than Obama). Talk about a black man. Thomas even looked like a black man. And look how he was treated by you and your ilk.

Condoleeza Rice, Colin Powell...

Oh, and don't forget the female vice presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, whom people like you despise because she is an independent thinker instead of a Stepford candidate who spouts the liberal party line. Or does discrimination against women not count as bigotry in your book?

Get a Grip
25 years I served in the military (Vietnam and Desert Storm) to protect the rights of people like those on this board who in my opinion are the most asinine, bigoted, mean-spirited, self-righteous assholes I've ever seen. Hell and damnation is all your ilk preaches is what will happen if your breed does not have their way. You think you have all the answers, know all the problems and solutions, and anyone who thinks different or looks different is basically nothing but idiots. I've never seen so many paranoid, obsessed with conspiracy theories people in my life. You praise people like Bush, Cheney, Palin, etc., people who do not give a crap about you and only want your support when it’s time to vote them into positions where they can push their own agenda that is completely separate from yours. Bombastic screeches 24/7 of right wing radio spewing the vilest and nauseating commentary on other Americans who do not agree with your view of how this country should be. Your views are that of narrow-minded, intolerant, scared people who see the world changing around them and are incapable of doing anything about it. Viewing the McCain/Palin rallies this past week looks like 1960’s segregationist rallies of the deep south era. Is this the kind of America that you want? Is this the kind of America that I donned a uniform for and swore to protect with my life if necessary? We have the entire world looking at how we conduct ourselves during this financial crises and we are suppose to be the example of a free nation conducting fair elections to choose our next leader. I know my opinion will be blasted on this board as nothing but the ranting of some left-leading liberal and I could care less, but I will say this is parting: “Get a damn grip of yourself and a life that involves something other than self-indulgence.”

Obama doesn't get mad. Obama doesn't get mad when the US is attacked. Obama doesn't get mad when his country is cursed. Obama doesn't get mad when his friends hate America, or are convicted. The only time you see him mad is when people turn on him personally.

So, who do you suppose is more serious about reforming government?

The candidate beloved of the Status Quo, or the candidate not supported of the Status Quo?

If you are going to change the way people do business, chances are they are not going to like you. They don't like McCain, and they don't like Palin. They do like Obama. They know he isn't going to really change anything. We will just see more tax and spend politics.

Cochran supports McCain now apparently; but what do I care? I never said McCain was well-liked in the Senate, nor do I particularly care if he is or not. Being well-liked in this world is a sure sign of mediocrity.

As far as McCain's legendary explosive temper, what of it? It has never affected his job as far as I can tell, and that's what counts. I've no doubt the blood running in his veins is plenty warm, whereas Obama strikes me as being almost reptilian.

About John McCain,

Actually, he's actually not well liked in the Senate, even among Republicans. Thad Cochran of Mississippi said this about him:

"The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me."

In 2000, only 4 of 55 Senate Republicans supported his Presidential bid. I believe only 3 did during the primary season this time around.

His explosive temper is legendary.

So you are the kind of person who supports Obama. I think if undecided voters who are considering voting for Obama knew that people like you would be in the tent with them they might have second thoughts. The irony is that Obama sounds relatively conservative when he talks to the American people as a whole. Of course, he has to disclaim nuts like you and nutty ideas like the ones you espouse...or he certainly wouldn't be elected.

I guess it only remains to be seen, if Obama is elected, if he disses the likes of you, his hardcore,
hate-filled, paranoid left wing or if he is truly one of you.

We will not pull a John Kerry?

Isn't Obama the one who would pull a John Kerry?

John Kerry posited that one of his qualifications was his service in Viet Nam. Many people have too much respect for the service to demean what he did, even if that would be the truth. But commanders who served with him questioned the veracity and the authenticity of some of his claims (a number of which Kerry withdrew when they were shown to be false). Kerry released a very small selection of his service record. What he did released showed him to be a very good writer and speaker, but never did they mention his seamanship (something you would expect to be mentioned in a Navy service report), nor his leadership. If this is the good stuff, selected by him to be released, what must the rest look like? He promised to allow to be released his entire record so we may have a better idea of what kind of service he actually provided. And, guess what? He still hasn't done it after four years. He must have had something to hide.

Obama is claiming as his qualifications (not experience, of course) his ability to work in a bipartisan way, and some concept of being a new, different kind of candidate. Well, guess what? He has never worked in a bi-partisan way and he has gone back to form on the kind of candidate he is: saying whatever his audience wants to hear, so that they'll vote for him, and saying something totally different the next day because it is a different audience. Saying ANYTHING AT ALL, as a matter of fact, if he thinks it will help him to get elected.

And of course, there are some aspects of his history that he is trying to keep hidden (his associations with Ayers for one). What is he trying to hide?

Obama is John Kerrying himself.

Racists.
90 percent of blacks vote for Obama.

They are voting for someone because he is black. Isn't doing something because of the color of someone's skin the very definition of racism?

Obama is the one that projected his racism on republicans when he said that republicans, when they talk about Obama, would say, "did I mention he is black"?

I have heard many people voting for him because he is black (including my students). I have not heard of people not voting for him because he is black.

I know they are there, I know they exist. But unless you see ME saying he is bad because he is black, don't impute your racism on me.

Resko was involved in several housing scams where he would receive money from Illinois (thank you, State Senator Obama) to build and maintain low income housing which he did build and did not maintain. The buildings became slums. The management company that took over later said it would be easier to tear down the buildings that to fix them, they had been so negligently maintained. Having gotten all of that money that did NOT go into maintaining the housing he was supposed to maintain, he then took the money and developed luxury buildings. This man has been convicted of corruption, and Obama had a big part in that (This was reported in the Boston Globe, not Fox News). We aren't even bringing up his very questionable real estate deal that allowed Obama to buy a house he could not otherwise afford (remember, Obama was a sitting US Senator, so if anything about how the purchased his house can be classified as a gift over $50, then it was an ethic violation). As with Ayers, we are not talking about a passing acquaintance. We are talking about people who did very nasty stuff and that Obama, to whatever extent, was complicit in. Not just an associate.

RightTeacher1 writes: Saturday, October, 11, 2008 2:15 AM

We are not damning him for his associations.

He tells us in his books that Wright was his mentor. He has since changed his story, but people who read his books know what he said before he decided that Wright was a liability in a national election. Mentor, not associate.

Not only did William Ayers "live on his street," not only did he begin his campaign in Ayer's living roon, but he was involved in two boards with Ayers, in one board, he was providing Ayers with money so he could conduct his education experiments wherein student would not be taught math or English, but would instead would be indoctrinated in Ayer's views on social "justice" and America hating. Obama says the terrorism occured when he was eight years old. But that means that he knew what he had done when he worked with him. If he had worked with him, and then later, Ayer's had engaged in terrorism against his country, then Obama could credibly claim the that he could not be blamed for something an associate did AFTER he knew him. But he cannot credibly claim that Obama cannot be blamed for something Ayer's did BEFORE he knew him. He provided money for this unrepentant, and he received favors from him. He was not just an associate.

I don't know what you mean by right wing haters. If you would provide specific examples of hate speech (such as we have done with Wright's G-D D***m America, Ayers' "Wish we had done more") so that we can respond logically. I again do not know what precedent you are talking about since you never specify. I do not see how opposing the least experienced candidate ever to run for president from a major party, someone who has always been part of a party machine, someone who can't open his mouth without a teleprompter without needing to clarify his statements the next day, someone who wants to talk with our enemies and invade our allies, someone who is calm about this country being threatened be gets hot-headed when he is verbally criticized, someone who was involved in very questionable activity with his radical friends (not guilt by association-guilt by participation). Electing someone like that--that is unthinkable. Funny you compare us to Hitler when your candidate uses Stalinist tactics, using threats of boycots and lawsuits for political speech. He definitely wants to keep some things about his past out of the public square.

What is he hiding?

What could be so much worse that what we already know.

He is scary.

As a christian, of course Palin wants to see people "saved." That does not mean we have to accept Jesus to support her. There is no logic to your statement. I would much rather support someone who has no problem with J for J than someone who has no problems with unrepentant terrorists, convicted corrupt people, and someone who actually did preach hate (Bricker may be ignorant, but J for J is not, in itself, hate).

Of course young Israelis and the overwhelming majority of Israeli youth (I'm not sure what the distinction is between the two groups--another lapse in logical argument) support Obama. Young people are idealistic enough to buy into Obama's Home meme just as they are here, not to mention the fact that much of Israel is Liberal. And it is the Liberal government that has put Israel in such a mess.

Thank you, Catherine, for proving my point.

You accept that John McCain is moderate (though his voting record is mostly very conservative) and not an extremist, even though he has been at events with extremists.

Perhaps you can be just as open minded about folks on the left--we all have active lives, and come in contact with, and may even have close associations with, people whose views are very different from our own.

Don't damn Barack Obama for his associations unless you're willing to do the same for John McCain.

Palin's Jews for Jesus ties
Ben, tell us how you feel about Palin's complicit involvement in the beliefs of Bricker, who touts Jews for Jesus? Are you willing to accept Jesus so that you won't be doomed? That's what they believe, you know. That's apparently something Palin has no problem with either, as she actually is quite prominently in attendance during the lecture/sermon, and never once spoke out against this man's strange, anti-semitic viewpoint.

I've talked with young Israelis, and the overwhelming majority of Israeli youth are anxious to see an Obama landslide. Why? Because THEY know that in spite of the hate-filled rhetoric you and your rightwing friends are spewing about Obama, he is their best choice for peace in their nation and for their future.

The world sees a different Obama than the rightwing haters in America. There is a dangerous precedent out there right now on the right and it is growing ever more ugly. Your shrillhorns are leading you down a very dangerous path the likes of which we haven't seen since Hitler led his followers to do the unthinkable. Please do not allow your minds to be hijacked by those who will use your fear of change against you.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad be termed "Hitler Lite?" True, Hitler did not have nuclear weapons, and true he would have used them if he had them, but we are so used to talking of Hitler as being ultimate evil, we can no longer recognize that some madmen I'll include the Mullahs that pull Ahmedinejad's string) who would wipe Israel off the map and kill anyone who is not Muslim, or for that matter kill Muslim's too, could be the equal or worse than Hitler.

Ahmedinejad's (and Wright's) claim that they are not anti-semitic because they don't hate Jews, they only hate Israel is just bazaar. You don't hate Americans, you just hate America? Does that make any sense?

I am a Jew.... and there is no way I will vote for obama.
Please explain to me why any Jew would.
I don't understand.
And by the way, I LOVE good Christians. Real Christians are as loving as Real Jews.
Because this city on the hill was built by, and reflects a Judeo-Christian Society.
My goodness- what a wonderful creation this Great Country is.
We are the great experiment.
I am not wrong..... my goodness I adore this great country. And I don't want us to go quietly into that good night.
So lets fight, and challenge those who believe we are the problem. We who adore the tenets of this magnificent home. Those that honor our forefathers.
We need to be Hawks!
Good Christians, Good Jews, Good Americans!
Fight now!!!
God Bless, God Bless America.....
And again.... no way I will vote for Obama......
And to those that would call me a racist..... I would like to remind you that I will never vote for someone based on the colour of their skin, rather, the content of their character!!!
King was a man of God, a Christian. A Christian who marched with Jews. How sad that most of you don't remember. In the real world, they were amazing people, Black, White, Jew..... who really cared. Who died..... whose bodies were broken.
My goodness.... what has become of us....
And do you think that JFK or Bobby would support any of this garbage from the left?!?! Talk about pitbulls
I do have a response to those on the left regarding the racism comments hurled across the aisles these days......
I am not a racist.... are you!
You wicked and ignorant people!!!!
There is such shame around all of you.
Too much to write here today.....
I would like to let you know that you are not on the side of history. And if you win this election... it will be your burden not mine.
It will be your downfall not mine.
Moreover.... OUR failure as the greatest Country in the world.

I have almost always voted for independent candidates. I have voted for Alan Keyes and would vote for Thomas Sowell if he ran for office. So it's not about race. It's about the views and record of Obama. I am so concerned about the facts that I will vote for McCain and trust the Congress to provide the appropriate checks and balances. The democrats and Obama and their entitlement program for housing have birthed a worldwide economic crisis that far overshadows the impact of the Afghan and Iraq wars.

Catherine is Partially Right...
...because the Anti-Defamation League polls Americans on anti-Jewish attitudes on a periodic basis (the most recent being fall 2007), and African Americans are more likely to have such attitudes than white Americans by a 32% to 10% margin.

There's no evidence that Senator Obama is anti-Semitic. However, he has no problem being close with people who are. He's a moral relativist. As long as somebody seems cool, Obama will hang out with him or her. A terrorist who wants to kill Americans or a Marine who wants to fight for them, Obama doesn't care.

And there's no doubt that several of the Senator's friends and advisers are anti-Semitic at worst and anti-Israel at best. Of course, many of them are anti-American, which is even worse.

As for Mr. Shapiro's plea to American Jews, I hope he doesn't hold his breath. Orthodox Jews like Mr. Shapiro will split toward McCain, but so-called conservative, reform, reconstructionist and unaffiliated people who self-identify as Jews (a much greater number than the Orthodox) will vote for Obama in massive percentages. Most of these folks, especially the women, value verbal acuity above other desirable attributes; Senator Obama has this. They are vehemently "pro-choice." Obama is the most pro-choice candidate in history. They fear Christian influence in public life more than they fear beheadings by fundamentalist Muslims. I know all of this to be true, for though I do not believe as they do, I am still one of them, if only nominally.

You know your position is lame when you have to make stuff up to win arguments. Even the mainstream media has reported on Rev. Wright and Ayers...

On Obama
Catherine,

Wright is definitely not a man I'm glad to have to share a race with, I'll be the first to admit that.

Honestly, between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama I'm more concerned with Palin because of her recent stump rhetoric, but back to Obama...

I completely understand why Wright would be a deal-breaker if you believed that Obama shares his views. I don't, but I respect your position.

"Catherine, I'm sorry if your experience with the black community has been a negative one, but it's just plain hurtful to assert that blacks are not aware of the role Jews have played in their cultural and professional progress."

Are the blacks who belong to Rev. Wright's congregation aware of the role Jews have played in their cultural and professional progress?--in Farrakhan's congregation? Or would you say these blacks are the freaks of the black community? And, if so, why did Obama belong to such a fringe denomination?

You wrote "I can guarantee you McCain would not have sat around listening to anti-semitic speeches for years on end from any of these folks."

How can you guarantee that? He sat quietly at a fundraiser for an extreme anti-gay group here in Oregon while Marilyn Shannon expressed support for Shelley Shannon (no relation) who, at the time, was accused of shooting a doctor and setting fires at medical clinics.

Associations and Alliances
Mere associations and alliances are different, as Thomas Sowell explained in a recent column. Obama ALLIED himself with Ayres and Wright.

I was listening to Hugh Hewitt's show a few minutes ago, and he informed everyone that Los Angeles radio hosts John and Ken were talking about him the other day. He ridiculed them for still talking about immigration. The only reason that immigration isn't an issue in this campaign is that there isn't much difference between the candidates. Americans are still opposed to illegal immigration. And although Hugh might have more listeners nationwide, I would bet that his show has fewer listeners than John and Ken, Larry Elder, and probably a Spanish-language host during afternoon drive time in Los Angeles.

Bryan...
I do love Spiderman.

I don't necessarily believe in labeling people based on associations, but some associations are more damning than others. If Obama claims he did not know Rev. Wright was anti-semitic, then he is lying, plain and simple. I have seen Rev. Right in action. He is not exactly subtle or ambiguous about his views, and even someone who is not a member of his church can see what his game is.
Scotch Indian writes: Friday, October, 10, 2008 7:56 PM
A little logic
Watching Reverend Wright's congregation high fiving, hooting & hollering when he did his "God D#$% America" routine was an eye opening experience. These were well dressed people, certainly looked middle class to me. I think many non African Americans began to think at the time "What is going on here? How widespread is this?"

Then, we find the Louis Farrakhan has recieved a "lifetime achievement" award from Rev. Wright's church. Makes you think again.

Next, we find out that Obama has been working on education projects with Bill Ayers, who believes in turning teachers into advocates who teach anti Americanism in the schools. We also then find that Ayers is advising Hugo Chavez on educational issues.

I know that logical analysis is something that will not be taught in the Bill Ayers schools, but I can't help myself -- let's try the logic while it's still legal:

IF Ayers advocates radical restructuring of the schools,
AND Ayers works with Hugo Chavez on a radical school agenda
AND Ayers works with Obama on a project to change the Chicago schools
THEN it is logical to assume that Obama favors radical school reform.

Try the same analysis with Obama, Reverend Wright, Louis Farrakhan and anti semitism.

Fighting communism may have been a common bond between McCain and the US Council for World Freedom. Nazi supporters? Which Nazis did these people allegedly support? I can guarantee you McCain would not have sat around listening to anti-semitic speeches for years on end from any of these folks.

Be careful Catherine
I do not believe John McCain to be a racist or an anti-semite. However, he did belong to a racist and anti-semetic organization called the US Council for World Freedom.

This is why one needs to be very careful about labeling people based upon associations.

I'm sure there's some kind of twisted logic there, too twisted for me...But I can guarantee you there would be no reason for racists to vote for McCain except that they don't want a black president. McCain has never supported or been supported by racists or called the Messiah by well-known racist leaders.

The reason I keep asking, Catherine...

Is because I can tell that you are an intelligent and passionate person about these issues and that means that you COULD say things that could help. Here I must employ the philosophy of the great Peter Parker...

"Blacks don't return the favor"

Catherine, I'm sorry if your experience with the black community has been a negative one, but it's just plain hurtful to assert that blacks are not aware of the role Jews have played in their cultural and professional progress.

Again..I have to ask...how do these statements help?
catherine writes: Friday, October, 10, 2008 7:37 PM
Bryan
Whites and blacks, whites and jews, blacks and jews, have all cooperated in this country to do good things. White people of every religious and political stripe work with charities to help the poor and underprivileged.

I don't know if some blacks are being brainwashed into hating whites and Jews or if they are choosing to hate whites and Jews of their own volition. You tell me. Being a victim seems to be the only thing some people have to hold on to.

I'm not that egotistical to think my comment does anything to help the plight of Jews in America and the world. It was just a comment...

I do wish Jewish people would vote for McCain. It would be better for them and for the country in the long run.
VoiceOfReason writes: Friday, October, 10, 2008 7:32 PM
Don't feel sad for me
I have never experienced the anti-semitism you have described from any African-American. If you want to look through history I think you might be surprised to learn that almost every instance of anti-semitism was perpetuated by white men.
catherine writes: Friday, October, 10, 2008 7:28 PM
I know what I know
Jews have been longstanding allies of blacks, no doubt about that...sadly, blacks don't return the favor. Of course, Obama wants and needs the Jewish vote, and he will court it, with no regard for truth or integrity. If Jews fall for it, it isn't because they are stupid; it's because they want so badly to believe that all the generosity and compassion they have shown for blacks is appreciated and that those to whom they are loyal will be loyal to them. I can't blame them for that. I think it's actually quite sad.

Two can play this game. How do you like this:

It's enough for me that those who profess hatred of an African-American Presidential candidate support McCain. The tree is known by its fruit.

See how easy that is?

As a member of the politicized black community I can assure you that there is no agenda to demonize white people and hate jews. That's a sexy thing to say, but it's simply not true.

Jews and Blacks have a long history, a mutually beneficial one in America. Here in Missouri, Jews and Blacks have worked together to start business and promote education and strengthen communities. Some of the best mentors I have had were Jewish and it was the generosity of a Jewish man that helped me achieve a scholarship I needed to finish my undergraduate education.

If you truly believe that blacks are being brainwashed into hating whites and Jews, then tell how your statement is going to affect that issue in a positive way? How is your statement going to eliminate division and awaken people to the importance of Israel in the world?

In short, what does your comment do to help the plight of Jews in America and the world?
VoiceOfReason writes: Friday, October, 10, 2008 7:24 PM
You know not of what you speak Catherine
African-Americans and Jews have been longstanding allies given their similar histories. You can try to drive a wedge all you want, but there is a reason that African-Americans and Jews vote overwhelmingly Democratic and no amount of fear tactics are going to change that.

This is nothing more than another hail mary by Professor Hewitt. Having seen the Ayers attack backfire, now Hewitt is playing the race/Israel card. It will not work as Jews are too smart to fall for this canard.

Finally...
This issue has been haunting me for months, why Jewish people in America would vote for Obama.

I know Jewish people are traditionally liberal, but come on...Isn't it time for this dirty little secret of the politicized black community, that they use hatred of whites and Jews to whip their followers up into a frenzy, to be brought out into the open.

History shows that Jewish people ignore undercurrents of anti-semitism at their own risk.

More scare tactics
Hugh, have you seen the Fox Dynamics poll today? The scare tactics are backfiring and Obama continues to enlarge his lead over Obama.

As to this article however, I'm surprised that Mr. Shapiro does not mention that one of Obama's cousin's is a Rabbi. Or that more than 500 Rabbis got together to assist Obama when he launched his Presidential campaign. Pray tell Mr. Shapiro, other than your guilt by association charges, can you point to a single vote or public statement by Obama which indicates anything inconsistent with his support for Israel?
Bryan  writes: Friday, October, 10, 2008 7:12 PM
