Bhutto's Impact Might Help Hillary
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 9:12 AM
I made a point last night on Cavuto, which I believe to be original to me.  While the Bhutto assassination obviously makes foreign policy experience desirable, it might also help the only female running for president -- Hillary Clinton.

Bhutto famously admired another female leader:  Thatcher.  Now, might her martyrdom influence primary voters to be more sympathetic toward a domestic female leader?

Bhutto
Bhutto's assassination will no longer by front page news tomorrow. This morning the stock market is looking to open higher. By January 1st this story will be practically forgotten and by the day of the Iowa caucus (Jan. 3rd) most American will be focused on college and pro football. Hillary Clinton, John McCain and Rudy Giuliani will not get any bounce from this story.

Probably the reason it's unique is that it's suuuuuuuuuuuch a reach.

You have got to be kidding! The death of a brave courageous woman, who had nothing but good will for her people, and wanted only their rapid transformation from a backward 12th century cast, into a modern democracy, can help a shrill, lying blowhard, who's only claim to fame is that she road on Bill's coat-tails for eight years, and by the way, is STILL riding his coat-tails!

Congress should not approve un-trackable Combat Weapons that are handouts, giveaways with zero accountability.

The Gun that killed could have been Govt issued

Congress - only approve GPS trackable Govt weapons so we know where our MONEY is going!

Doubtful
I fail to see how Bhutto's death could help Hillary at all. She likes to continuously remind the voting public that she was an integral player in her husband's presidential administration, but his adminstration did a lousy job fighting terrorism. Bhutto's death should remind voters of the serious threat terrorism is to America. Accordingly, I would think the last thing voters would want is another Clinton in the White House.

YOUNG TURKS IN BED WITH BIN LADEN!!!
THE LIBERAL YOUNG TURKS ARE NOW IN BED WITH BIN LADEN!!!

After the death of Benazir Bhutto, the Liberal muslim talk show "YOUNG TURKS" began spewing venom against Jews, Christians, and the average american citizen Bin Laden style on their AOL blog. A guy named Amir Chavez put up this cool poll.

LET's ALL TAKE A VOTE ABOUT THESE YOUNG TURKS. Your vote counts (as long as they do not threaten it with censorship.)

Question: Why do you think these YOUNG TURKS so enamored by Bin Laden?

1) They feel that Bin Laden would be the best leader of America.

2) They use Bin Laden as a sick way of making light of terrorism so they can foster an attitude of indifference and apathy among media gullible american citizens in order to discourage a unified response to defend ourselves.

3) They honestly believe in Bin Laden's philosophy and therefore seeks to ridicule and taunt anyone who threatens him in any way.

4) Bin Laden himself is one of the Young Turks largest financial contributors that keeps them in business.

5) All of the Above.

Place your vote here!

Matt Lewis may be right
I hate to agree, but it may actually gain Hillary a couple of percentage points.

If only one or two democrats out of every 100 change to Hillary it will be sufficient to defeat Obama and Edwards, who are both right on her heels.

Actually Matt, I thought of that too- right after it happened. But, you deserve the credit-as you posted first :) I think there is a collective unconscious at work here. apologies to Carl Jung

Obama's Been Right from the Beginning
Obama is brilliant in his foresight of international affairs, particularly in the light of the recent meltdown in Pakistan and the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.

Very early in this race, Obama stated in one of the first debates that Pakistan was a serious problem, and that Iraq was a distraction from the more crucial issues of both Pakistan and Afganistan, which is where Al Qaeda is actually based.
At that time, Hillary slammed Obama for being "naive," (even though a later examination of previous statements made by her showed that she'd gone on the record as having agreed with him!)

Obama took a serious hit in the polls from that "naive" statement, with people believing Clintonian spin rather than substance.

However time has shown Barack to be vindicated in his position. He has been consistent from the very beginning.

Obama has demonstrated that he has both the foresight and judgment to tell the truth about what needs to be done internationally.

Here is a substantive interview of Obama on foreign policy from Iowa's Quad City Times, no glitz, no soundbites.

Hillary is NO Thatcher
Thatcher was a strong woman who stood on her own two feet. Hillary had OLD BILL to pound on the media and defend Hillary. Rather than being her own person, she is stuck in OLD BILL's shadow. Is that what women today want, a man to fight her battles and then claim the White House prize?

Thatcher was also a conservative who worked hard to rise as the leader of her conservative party. Edwards and Obama are liberals and Hillary is trying to pull the rug from under their feet while still smiling and hoping no one notices.

Sorry, there is only one Thatcher. Hillary should ponder the VP post or go back to the Senate.

OK, Matt
I can clearly see how Bhutto's death will benefit a candidate whose vote contributed to the diversion to Iraq from pakistan and Afghanistan where the terrorists have regrouped.

I can see how Bhutto's death will benefit a candidate whose vote contributed to the slaying of 4000 Americans, causing thousands of widows, orphans and families without an only child.

God Bless you, Matt. I hope you're at ease with your conscience and I hope you sleep better at night.

The Hillary Envy is showing up
on too many comments. Women envy the fact that she has a husband who is not threatened by her ambition and who actually supports her. Men are envious that she is twice the man they are......and that is why many people have so much hatred for this woman. I do not want her to be the next president but I have never seen one candidate bashed by so many people from both sides of the aisle, NON-STOP!.......even huckabee hasn't been bashed as much by Romniacs.
cornpone harry writes: Sunday, December, 30, 2007 3:38 AM
Edwards and Obama are worse than Hillary
You are right Sarah-the hatred for her is out of all proportion to the way conservatives feel towards Edwards or Obama who are far more liberal than Hillary.

I think she is perceived by a lot of men as an emasculating and pushy woman who wears tailored pantsuits, (instead of feminine skirts) and men viscerally hate/fear such women.

But in reality, if she's elected we will see four years of status quo-not some communist revolution-as some of the unhinged handwringing alarmists predict. She will simply triangulate and focus group every issue just like her hubby did.

Lest We Forget
Do we remember the Magic Clinton Diplomacy that convinced Nawaz Shariff (president of Pakistan during the BJ years until Musharraf overthrew him) not to make or test A-bombs? You dont remember it because Sharif laughed in BJ's face slammed the phone down and detonated his nukes. Now that the homicidal maniacs that dont get invited to the diplomatic receptions have put the kibosh on Condi's and Hilly's Islamic GirlFest let's vote for The Little Woman... now that the most likely person to succeed Musharraf is Nawz Sharif. If this benefits Hillary its because people are complete sappy, ignorant, foolish, retarded idiots. We need a strong leader that is not obsessed with staying one step ahead of the Federal Prosecutors.

To Sarah and Cornpone Harry
You just don't get it, do you? No one is afraid of Hillary and highlighting the facts of her experience and policy views is not bashing. It's called "telling the truth". It is said that for evil to succeed, all it takes is for good men to do and say nothing. Men do not hate or fear Hillary - none of us do. We just don't want to see a total socialist in the the Office of the President of the United States. If you think Obama and Edwards are any more liberal than Hillary, I know where you can buy some swamp property in North Carolina! As far as placing blame for the assassination of Bhutto, try looking at the liberal/socialist/communist media and the liberal/socialist/communist democrats in our Congress. When we won the war in Iraq, defeated Saddam, toppled his statue, and our soldiers were greeted as liberators, they began their immediate and incessant attacks on our foreign policy, thereby giving the terrorists and insurgents the will to fight, remembering how this same group ended the war in Viet Nam. As for any one supporting Hillary because she is a woman and Bhutto was a woman - forget it - the difference is night and day.
iitywybad writes: Sunday, December, 30, 2007 1:08 PM
A slight correction......

Excuse me! There are some brainless women who will support Hillary simply because she is a woman - case in point being one Gennifer Flowers, Bill's 12 year mistress!!

iitywybad, Hillary's policies are very
similar to other democratic candidate's policies but you have not heard as much bashing against them. I think all conservative talk show hosts have a "operation stop Hillary and abuse her in the process" concept when they attack her. People go beyond her record and policies and become extremely personal and insulting. Men are threatened by her and women envy her.....and it shows everytime "truth telling" begins......

Allow me to make up the difficientcy...

Bill Richardson wants to depose Musharaff (how?) and install a unity government, but of course not include those badly behaved Islamic Savages that swarm over the Pakistani landscape in such large numbers. But a few silk-suited rich guys holding a conference after the only strong ally we have is deposed will make everything OK.

Obama wants to invade and topple Musharraf.

In fact none of these Dem idiots (including Mrs. Clinton) has so much as mentioned Islamic Terrorism even while the radicals in the streets were bragging that they had killed 'America's Candidate'. They all been saying that this is just a bumper-sticker war and now its blown up in their faces.

The Dems should stick to raising taxes and destroying our economy-- things they're good at.

skep41, my point about Hillary envy
is that, it is personal not political. Men are threatened by her and women envy her, on both sides of the aisle she is receiving a lot of bashing - more than any other candidate.

She IS worse than any other candidate. After her clumsy gaffes in the Philadelphia debate her sock puppets were all over the media threatening Wolf Blitzer and denouncing Tim Russert. She and her husband and their associates have shown, over two decades a contempt for the law and the constitution. Her hubby has raised tens of millions from the Saudis and various foreign governments and criminal enterprises and refuse to publish the list of donors to the Clinton library. Mrs. Clinton recently has been reported by the LA Times to be receiving bundled donations through Chinese criminal gangs and refuses to take any questions on any subject. The documents that she wont release are totally under her control. She is the most morally compromised candidate ever to run for the presidency. Its a shame and disgrace that anyone could consider voting for someone of such low character and meager accomplishments.

Mindless sheep will vote for H. Clinton. She's a consummate liar and stands for nothing, just like her partner in crime, Bill. By the way, he's a pervert and sex addict, but not with his wife/business partner. To equate her in the same sentence with Thatcher or Bhutto is bordering blasphemous. The ONLY way she will win is if God places her there because of a very sinful nation that we have become.

Almost all women are incapable of having any other sentiment toward the military than "bring those boys home now." Women are unable to use the military for anything other than handing out bread to tsunami victims, for the same reason that men can't plan weddings. I would only accept a woman as commander in chief with either of the following two conditions. Either we have 51% of all of our combat deaths be women, proving women are equal to men. Or else the we have a constitutional amendment that makes the position of commander in chief appointed by the pentagon, so it would continue to be a man. Equality is not a threat, special treatment under the guise of equality is the threat.
