Plouffe Downplays Significance Of Today's Outcomes
Posted by: Jillian Bandes at 1:46 PM
David Plouffe, Obama's campaign advisor, dismissed the notion that VA, NJ and NY could be bellweathers for 2010 on the Today Show:
These are local races, there's 18,000 lifetimes between now and next November.
You'd better hope those 18,000 lifetimes are enough to get your poll numbers up...

Guess
what he'd be saying if Obamettes were winning!

I think it odd...
That we keep harping on Obama's poll numbers when the Republican leadership typically polls far lower than even Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

In the absence of a more credible party figure or leader, I cannot see Obama's current poll numbers as a trend toward GOP resurgence. And right now, you do not have such a leader.

Palin is polarizing, probably as much so as Obama. Huckabee would win evangelicals, but would probably lose the Chamber of Commerce Vote. Romney is the opposite of Huckabee.

I suppose you could try to fast-track Jeb Bush (though his name would be toxic), Jindal (though most of your past criticisms of Obama would be invalid then), or Rubio (assuming he wins the FL election), but none of these figures seem much better than last years crop of candidates.

NY 23
has been GOP for about 140 years. What does that have to do with Obama?

Say what you want about Palin... the old saying "you can't beat something with nothing" was proven wrong when Obama won last year.

The man was out there saying nothing better than it had ever been said and continues to do so as if he's still campaigning.

Obama won an anti-Bush election last year because he simply had a "D" behind his name, period.

We could run Obama's mop or telepromter against him in 2012 and Barry would lose by a landslide.

Once is a typo
Twice is an error: "bellweather" isn't a word.

Now, I make more typos than anybody I know. But I'm not a blogger with my byline on the story. Can't you find some more Coulter-Wannabes who will volunteer to do a little spell checking?

Right it's not a word.

But it is a well know 'term'!

Used perfectly in the context of Jillian's sentence.

Let them...
...live in their own fantasy world. We all know that if it was a Demoncratic sweep Dumbo would be everywhere claiming credit. However, if all the Demoncratics lose, it cannot be because people are rejecting the marxist ideology of Dumbo because he is the "messiah" and the "one". No he is an idiot and not very bright if he cannot read the tea leaves of a Republican/Conservative sweep.
