Obama Appoints Lobbyist as Senior Policy Adviser
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 9:53 AM
The Obama campaign just appointed Daniel Shapiro as a senior advisor and Jewish outreach coordinator to the campaign.  Interestingly, Shapiro is also a lobbyist for the American Petroleum Institute.  This, of course, is only interesting because of the appearance of hypocrisy.  Obama has touted the fact that he will not accept money from lobbyists -- because he does not want to be influenced by them as president.  Clearly, though, he has not banned lobbyists from providing advice and endorsements...

Update:   A reader points out that Daniel Kurtzer’s (another Obama foreign policy adviser) trip to Syria was paid for by an oil company, as well.

"0" list grows, daily Hypocrite, Flipper
Why am I not surprised? Obama is more then a hypocrite and flipper, he has the nerve to run ads, criticizing McCain for his lobbyist ties and for receiving oil money, when he HAS also!
The bitter truth is we can't believe in his words! Forget change, it will be a change of his MIND and whatever his handlers tell him to correct!

Amazing
American citizens can't exercize their Constitutional rights, but illeagal aliens can demand citzenship waving flags of foreign countries.

LA's Tianamen Square scandal update
mayorsam.blogspot.com/

This is a city-orchestrated effort to deny the Shaw family of their constitutional rights to collect petition signatures in public. The LA Times won't even cover it. Too busy covering Mayor Tony VivaLaRaza's ribbon cutting photo-ops for new diagonal crosswalks. What can be more important than that? Is it any wonder that no one reads the LA Times anymore?

Great Link Phil, Thanks
More propaganda to elicit sympathy for the "poor undocumented" illegal aliens, who are in reality citizens of other countries that are in our country illegally. The employers need to go to jail if we ever want to start the flow in the ohter direction.

ICE is going to enforce the part of the law that sticks it to those who were lured into the employers' magnetic trap. What the employers are doing is worse and they get to stand around during the raid. Probably good for campaign contributions to the crooked politicians.

Nothing But Propaganda

With the stark exception of Lou Dobbs, almost all of the media is in on the sell out of America. Most of what I see on T.V. is designed to manipulate the public. The administration has only recently done enforcement actions with the intent of providing tear jerking pictures of "poor immigrants". The way slanted dishonest polls are being used to sway public opinion and presented as news is stunning. This campaign of disinformation is worthy of Goebbels.

We are being convinced that it would be wrong to insist that people comply with the law.

That it is racist to want foreign nationals to adapt to our language, culture, and laws.

That anyone who can run across the border should be given U.S. citizenship.

That foreign nationals who break our laws sneaking into our country should be entitled to things that citizens cannot get, like in-state tuition.

That citizens who object to abandoning the rule of law are a small minority of restrictionist, racist, bigoted, xenophobic, nativist yahoos.

That citizens who step up to do the job the government won't do are vigilantes.

That we have no choice but to surrender our country.

Wake me up when the world turns right side up.

"But ICE administrators say their efforts are by nature more symbolic than comprehensive."

Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement

We need Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement, not reform. We need to restore respect for the law and the faith of the American people that their government is not selling them out. Amnesty for the illegal aliens is also amnesty for the corrupt companies who have been employing them. Money trumps everything, including love of country. Multi-nationals have no loyalty to country by definition, they see us as a market, not a nation. They see people as workers, documented or undocumented, no difference. If they can't send the work to where the labor is cheaper, then they want to bring the cheap labor here. If citizenship becomes meaningless, this is no longer The United States of America.

If we love our Constitution and our representative Republic and we intend to keep it we must not surrender our sovereignty or abandon the rule of law. Profits must not supercede security. We should not create a new path to citizenship. We have a path to citizenship, more generous than any other country, illegal aliens have ignored it and bad choices do have consequences.

"The agency's aim, says ICE Assistant Secretary Julie Myers, is to show employers and workers that until new immigration laws come into effect, the agency will steadfastly enforce existing law."

In other words, we're going to act like we're enforcing the law until you give us an amnesty.

Immigration enforcement McCain style

Once again, a staged "raid" where employers who should have been arrested first are merely standing by to administer the kabuki show to give the liberal media their story: fighting illegal immigration victimizes illegals. How about arresting the guy who called the meeting?
