Will somebody please explain to me why the GOP has been completely unable to cspitalize on the kind of sheer political power that the grassroots, yes the actual grassroots, flexed during the immigration debate in 2006? Technically that was Obama's first and only real defeat because it was clear what his motives were then.
The Grassroots went against not only the Dems but 08 contender McCain as well. That protest was done by PHONE and shut that whole attempt down without any astroturfing. Or is that kind of question over the heads of the "joe the plumbers" out there?

I resent being marginalized, shut out of discussions, condescended to and ignored by those on the left whose ONLY answer to my legitimate grievances are "You're a racist nazi who isn't comfortable with a black man in the White House!"
So, in order to make the left a frothing mass of lunacy, I will attend MORE protests. I will print out MORE leaflets (using MY money, not other people's money like ACORN does). I will make MORE phone calls. I will work harder and be louder and appeal to more regular Americans than any other ACORN hack out there. And I will look better doin' it.

The person in the video states that the “public option” the President would like to have

When Jack Welch ran GE it was a capitolistic machine creating jobs and prosperity. Weapons was just one peice of a big puzzle. Immelt is a huge let down compared to those days. If it weren't for Govt help, GE would crash and burn.
And btw, Welch promised Congress that NBC would not be influenced by the mothership GE. He kept his promise. As for Immelt?...

I remember before the election of a news story that obama supporters were told to get up in the faces of of people for obama. The idea of anybody getting up in my face about anything does not sit well with me. There was a day when I was confronted by some young obama supporters that did not approve of a bumper sticker on my truck, after a very short conversation that I should be smart and vote for obama, the conversation ended when my two german shepards decided they were tired of being in the snow and it was time to go. |
