All Right, I Lose.
Posted by: Mary Katharine Ham at 11:09 PM

51-33.

If I could find a picture of Uga with his tail between his legs, I'd post it. Sigh.

Fair's fair, Holmes. Put me in one of those tacky, creamsicle shirts.

I'm ready.

And, I will now follow the SEC tradition. Win? Drink. Lose? Drink more.

Yuck.

As an Arkansas fan...
it's really nice to get to laugh at someone else for a change.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

This is the advantage
Of having a perennial loser in football (darn you Mack Brown!) You can cherry pick the best story to root for every year and not feel the least bit guilty.

Mary Katherine y'all got whuzzupped.

I so feel your pain
If had to wear a red Stanford shirt for a whole day I do believe I would die in my sleep so I didn't have to bear the indignity.

Fortunately I don't see that happening any time soon, so I am safe.

gloating? Me?
Heavens, no. There is no need to gloat when MKH is going to have to put on the Orange. That is punishment enough. Needless to say, I've been out most of the evening drinking other people's beer, but I'm still coherent enough to pop in and see if MKH is ready to take her punishment. It appears that she will be, as expected, true to her word and we'll have to work out the details.

It's nice to go and hang 51 on the 'dawgs in their own house after what they did to us last year. Cleanses the palate, really.

was it Halloween in the SEC ?

This has been the spookiest day in the SEC that I can remember.

I was playing soccer and thus missed most of the Auburn-Arkansas game, but was in complete shock when I got home and turned on the tube.

If someone had predicted to me that the suffocating defenses of Auburn, LSU, & Georgia would yield a combined 101 points among the three of them---and all three teams would lose---I would have said that person was either drunk, or just another left-winger who didn't know what they were talking about.

At least Auburn & UGA didn't fumble, stumble, and bumble like my LSU Tigers did.
Can any of our players hold onto the ball ?

On the other hand, today's games speak volumes about how strong a conference the SEC is.

MKH, you should just go over-the-top with your Tennessee photo---orange lipstick, orange hoop earrings, glass of orange juice, etc.
Ha, ha, ha.

drink one for me
For the first time in my brief existence on this spinning ball of mud I found myself pulling for GA.

PTH's gloating is gonna be unbearable.

MK...
Our teams'll be all right. I was actually pulling for UGA today - I'm no fan of Fulmer and a teacher at the school where I work is as obnoxious a UT fan as you'll find. Are you gonna see 'Facing the Giants'? Special appearance by your boy, Richt...

Georgia
It is funny. They were strong in the 1st half, but it fell apart in the second. Still quite a good over all record.

markf...
My cousin was a captain in the bama vs duke game today. He is a 5th year senior strong safety walk-on - Kilpatrick. I was very happy for him. He has paid his dues and then some.

I'm still flagging your post as offensive.

A little swanky sounding, but good. I thought of you earlier today when I heard the Auburn score. I was hoping to end up happier. Ah well.
markf writes: Saturday, October, 07, 2006 11:22 PM
Ugh
The thought of seeing you in a Tennessee shirt is almost more upsetting than having to watch Fulmer win a game, ever; but I promise we won't hold it against you.

And as an Alabama fan at least I can take solace in Auburn getting their behinds handed to them today.

What's your drink of choice tonight?
I know it's not Miller. Mine was Newcastle earlier today.
