As a lifelong surfer (and skier, etc) have always paid attention to the weather. Ten years ago I was on board mostly with this concern. Now, as you can tell, not so much anymore.

Remember, not only was he not truthful about the Hockey Stick Graph (which he conveniently wiped out the Medieval Warming through data manipulation), but he was also implicated in the emails last fall.
Where did you get the idea that Medieval Warming was a regional issue? Its been shown it was found in the Southern Hemisphere and elsewhere. (Funny, the 2003 heatwave in France was regional yet every AGWer was crying GW!)
Do you know how many differing Solar Cycles there are? 11, 22, 400, 1500 year? Did you know it wasnt until a few years ago that Satellites could accurately measure cloud coverage? Did you know that when the sun gets "lazy" the magnetic plume that protects the earth weakens and then allows more ionic space dust to enter the atmosphere? And guess what, those ions create more cloud coverage. And guess what else? The IPCC computer models gave no weight to this variable because they didnt understand it. So the models need to be rewritten, the science needs to be looked at again and its certainly far from "settled." What it is, is akin to the 16th century when the church decided waht science was true. And those that question it are Heretics.
Even Munck admits (all the time) that the models are purely speculative. And one can write them to give you the answer you want. (Mann did it so his curve would accept any data and spit out a hockeystick graph). Not sure how many holes you want me to poke into the belief?

If you have to outsource pollution to accomplish making supposed 'green energy' products.. that product aint 'green'. You should be able to fully 100% mine, process and manufacture Solar Panels, CFL's, and Prius Batteries in a 'Progressive' Liberal Congressional District in order to call them 'green'. The only organic method of harvesting Solar Energy is not fully legal in the USA... its called a Clothesline.

Not getting much mention in the news last month, NOAA and NASA had changed the the number of SST stations used over the last decade (its why they state it got warmer). It seemed that getting data from all the locations (still done manually at many) was too cumbersome. So all analysis moving forward didnt include those numbers. But they they kept those station data locations in the historical graphing of SSTs. So what you have is a point in time where the data set has changed. (Pretty sure any science teacher would invalidate your homework on that).
Apparently removing the old data and recalcing the SSTs is too cumbersome a task? Its the excuse they gave when asked why not at least modify the data to reflect revised locations used? I guess with the Billions floating around, they money just isnt available?
btw, Mr Hockey Stick Graph guy, Prof Mann just recieved a half million dollar grant and is part of a team that got a 1.5 million dollar grant to "further" global warming studies thanks to the Stimulus Bill (one job saved or created). So the man that lied about the Hockeystick graph has 2 million to spend on "furthering" the science, and NOAA cannot afford to hire a couple of Grad Students on the cheap to fix their Data issue?
Yeah, the science is settled alright. It just may not be the truth. |

It should clog up the Court's schedule and take away the angle of politicians trying to time putting new legislation in place when it will only hurt the opposition.
Like Corndog said: there needs to be someone who's responsibility is to charge these politicians with treason and failure to uphold their oath to the Constitution.
