Warning, It's Going to Be a Long Year

House Democrats will hold a hearing on President-elect Barack Obama’s $1 trillion spending plan where no dissenting opinions are going to be permitted Wednesday, previewing a long year ahead for the newly silenced minority.
The House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee, both of which are Republican-free committees with no actual oversight on taxes or spending, invited a slew of pro-Keynesian economists to testify why Obama’s stimulus plan should be passed. No one who opposes the proposal will speak. And, since no Republicans will be there that means no one who opposes the proposal will be listening, either.
Fun, huh?
House Democrats have also enacted new rules to deprive the GOP of an effective parliamentary tool and keep committee chairmen in power. I have those details up on the homepage HERE.

With "pay to play" Richardson booted to the curb, "no intelligence experience" (whatever that means??) Clintonista Panetta picked for CIA chief, Blago's apparent "pay to play" buddy, Rahm Emanuel, now under suspicion, Queen Hillary and her "baggage", "crook pardoner" Eric Holder and "Gaffer" Biden on the scene........
it will be a long 4 years......
BUT IT SURE WILL BE ENTERTAINING!!!!!!

I want BHO and fellow socialists to get everything on their wish list. As part of the 'rich' that Obama keeps talking to about wealth re-distribution, I am eager to see the morons who voted for this 'change' enjoy the lack of opportunity, followed by generational welfare they will experience after Hussein is done 'changing the fundamentals of this country'. This country became a great country because of it's fundamentals, too bad, americans 45 and under don't know that either by choice or by ignorance. Either way, they will remember and then say 'remember when....'. May God Bless America and Give the democrats EVERYTHING THEY DESIRE it will awaken the next generation of great americans because the voters who voted this time - deserve everything that comes with the democrats agenda. Obama/Biden (4yrs), Obama/Hillary (4 years), Hillary/??? (4yrs) then americans will get it and rebuild the republic. This time with a deeper understanding and appreciation for liberty. |

Why should Amanda or anyone give the yoo hoos a chance. Your side has never in the past 8 years given the right a 'chance'. BTW, the economy started faltering when your dems took over 2 years ago. Yes Bush has been a big time spender and us fiscal conservatives hate this. But just wait until the flood gates open. We are all in for the ride of our lives. I hope everyone is prepared. I know I am. I also know the libs will be the weakest link, bellyaching about the pains and all the while blaming the previous administration. I hope Bush doesn't leave a forwarding address. |

But entertaining for who?
We've been saying the same things for 50 years. And looking back, it doesn't appear that it's had much impact.
The Bush team put the bailout ball in play, and Obama is simply going down the same road. Other than some partisans, the majority of the public is never going to differentiate the GOP from the Democrats because of it. Add to this the fact that the GOP's candidate, McCain, didn't sound much different than Obama, (Immigration, Global Warming, More Health Care, Bailouts, etc) and you end up with the fact that partisans can sit on the sidelines and scream bloody murder all day, but they're talking to themselves - because the "silent majority", isn't listening.
And, it goes without saying that they're not going to see much difference between what happened in the last 8 years, and what happens in the next. How could they?
We added $500 billion a year to our national debt, passed just about every spending bill in sight, and grew government faster in a shorter period than under any other administration since WWII. And for six of those years the GOP had all the levers of power.
And there's the rub. Oh, partisans will do the same thing to Obama that partisans did to Bush, but that doesn't change the fact that both were and are big government solves everything types, and buying votes is better than selling ideas to get the votes.
And so it goes. |

It makes little difference who is in the White House if the Congress doesn't get on board. The average Congressmen makes way more than his/hers salary just for being them. They are out for only them and anyone who disagrees obviously has been in a coma for years. The way to fix the problem is fix the root and that means term limits to move out the old blood and let some new ideas in. If the Pres. has term limits why not the Congress, they are the true problem and no one wants to address that. The idea of term limits should be up to the people but we let Congress decide whether we get to kick them out or not. The whole thing is rediculous. If we want the system fixed we need three things. Start with term limits add a flat tax and enact tort reform and we are on our way to recovery. |

People wanted change and now they will get it in spades. Too bad, it's not the right change needed to empower America.
