No surprise,'O'needs their advice/help
Pres.,Obama surrounds himself with the wise ole birds and experienced, brainy Dems/Reps, because his mind is empty. Bi'Partisanship is not his main motive, he wants to listen to the real deciders, then learns from them what to say and do. Obama the Celebrity! Maybe after three or four years of 'on the job training' he will have an independent, creative insight, political awareness and be a real leader! Until then, keep your seatbelt fastened for a bumpy ride! Thanks liberals, your King 'O' brings famine instead of a feast! What were you thinking???? I saw the handwriting on the wall when his past scary relationships were revealed and with his questionable progress from the Chicago ways! Ex Democrat

A Good Video Clip
I doubt that anyone can look at that clip and not realize deep in their gut that Obama is going to be a strong and effective President for the next eight years.

Okay, so
When does the scripted stuff come to an end? His first presser, now this. I've got his M.O. The camera is in front of him. He will never look directly at it. We will get left, right, repeat. Regardless of whether the teleprompter works or not. Simply foolish. Oh, wait!
foxmustang writes: Monday, February, 23, 2009 11:29 PM
Wow!!!!!
"Obama calls on McCain to ask him 1st question".

That's Barry O's "bipartisan/nonpartisan" act for February.

What act of "reaching across the aisle" can we expect from His Greatness in March?????
Camellia writes: Tuesday, February, 24, 2009 1:23 AM
reverse
Maybe he'll go into show business when and if his term ends. He'd have his pick of roles.
He wants to be George Clooney.
Raelei writes: Tuesday, February, 24, 2009 8:35 AM
Did McCain comb his hair?
He looks a bit.....ruffled.

President Obama didn't ask for that helicoptor, it was commissioned before he came into office, but nice of McCain to 'suddenly' question defense spending. Where was this hyper-vigilance when President Bush was sending billions to Iraq to pay for (non)reconstruction? Where was John as that money fell through holes and disappeared, presumably into the deep pockets of Cheney's Halliburton cronies?

I love that the President put these guys up front and center to ask their questions of him directly - rather than continue to snipe behind his back, with twenty cameras rolling and no chance of automatic recourse.

It's not enough that we have to face an awful economic nightmare created mostly by the hand of the GOP, but now we must endure their petulance and civil war tactics rather than a hand in saving our economy?
Frank writes: Tuesday, February, 24, 2009 8:55 AM
Gregg-thank you
If nobody else has said it -

you are doing a great job Gregg of giving us a wide variety of clips from a wide variety of media sources. Plus its always a good idea to spotlight media outside the obvious hightlights as well as the big speeches.

My only suggestion is maybe you could add some Pajamas Tv vrs. like Daily Kos TV! Malkin v. Markos!

Anyways keep up the good job.
Michael writes: Tuesday, February, 24, 2009 10:21 AM
Good President??
Mr. Munck, please you're drinking way too much coolaid. Obama gave McCain the right to a first question. Where was it? Another moderate Republican, manipulated by Obama, who takes the opportunity to grandstand instead of argue for what will save this country. And it is not SOCIALISM!!
Brookit writes: Tuesday, February, 24, 2009 11:28 AM
Eligible President?
To those of you who ignore this LIE Obama perpetrated on some blind Americans to become the Prez of the U.S. know this - it ain't over for Obama's Birth Certificate Controversy until and unless he provides a true, correct and valid one for the entire country.

READ THIS FROM A U.S. soldier.

A U.S. soldier on active duty in Iraq has called President Obama an "impostor" in a statement in which he affirmed plans to join as plaintiff in a challenge to Obama's eligibility to be commander in chief.

He had to know he would be cra**ed on , hellsbells, nobody doe's it better than McCain!
He was used and abused as an enabler.Mc Cain may be scrappy, but " He don't know street "
B.O. threw down a spike strip and McCain rolled
over. He is still " The Man "
This old bird came home to roost and is choking on crow pie !!
B.O. will stick it and twist it every chance he gets. Vengence is his !!

Raelai brays:
"It's not enough that we have to face an awful economic nightmare created mostly by the hand of the GOP."

Mostly GOP? You are full of B as in B and S as in S. It was solely by the hands of the intransigent, partisan, and incompetent democrats that we face this financial crisis.

This timeline of events will be repeated again and again until you finally get it right.

2001 Bush Administration warns of FM and FM financial problems which could have serious financial repercussions.

2003 Bush Administration warns that the financial condition is now at a point where it could become a systemic risk.

2003 Bush Administration pushes congress to establish federal agency to supervise and oversee FM and FM GSEs.

Treasury Secretary John Snow calls for new oversight of GSEs

Barney Frank responds that FM and FM "are not in a crisis" that more should be done to get low income people into homes. Frank says that too many people have a “sky is falling mentality” and that the GSEs are fundamentally sound.

The legislation was blocked by the Democrats.

2006 Allan Greenspan testifies that our financial system is at risk and something must be done or we face insolvency.

Chuck Schumer says that FM and FM did a wonderful job.

John McCain co-sponsored legislation on Senate floor for greater regulation of GSEs and all Democrats voted against it in committee.

Democrats were opposed to regulation and oversight of GSEs and nothing was done when it was in their power to adopt tighter GSE regulatory controls as urged by the Bush administration.

Obama said nothing.

Democrats did nothing.

Democrats did not want to do anything.

Welcome to the current financial debacle, courtesy of the democrats.

What video are you watching?
"Another moderate Republican, manipulated by Obama, who takes the opportunity to grandstand instead of argue for what will save this country."

Obama gave McCain the first question. That's a nice thing to do, isn't it? And McCain took the opportunity to be snarky and challenge Obama on his helicopter. Obama smiled at him and SHOT HIM DOWN IN FLAMES, demonstrating again why he won the election. He owns John McCain, and any other Republican who thinks he's man enough to challenge him face to face on concrete issues.

Splain it Lucy !!!
Brookit, I am sorry if I gave the impression that he was my Messiah !!! Bile Rises !!! I was trying to say that an old pro at dumping on people would have recognized the method coming around to bite him. Like fire ants !!
McCain knew that he wasn't right for the job !!
Mr. Homer, excellent !!
Brookit , I am retired , fixed income , I do feel the knife !!
