Rush Hits McCain on Global Warming
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 5:37 PM
On today's show, Rush Limbaugh went after John McCain for his speech on the environment yesterday in Oregon.  Here's an excerpt from today's show:

"I'm gonna tell you something, folks, when it comes to global warming and the hoax and the fixes for this hoax, the solution, we do not have one of the three presidential candidates who differs from each other.  We are cooked.  Our goose is cooked on this.  It doesn't matter who you vote for, for president, we're going to get a liberal Democrat approach to fixing something that doesn't exist.

... I have not faced this situation before.  I have not faced a situation where a major Republican presidential candidate sounds just like a liberal Democrat and I know of no other thing to do here than to tell you the truth about this.  This is embarrassing, and it is frightening."

We Tried To Warn The GOP
That McCain was a loser that we would not hold our nose for. Electability trumped all and now they're stuck with Sen. Stick-in-the-Eye who runs off GOP voters every time he opens his mouth.

Electable? If you can get the illegal alien vote!

so..
How high do my taxes have to be so McCain can solve tornados?

If we put money in a trust fund for Burma, can McCain tax the cyclones into not spinning? Anybody? Any McCainiacs want to educate me on the specifics of Operation 'Change the weather with your tax dollars'? Wait, I know..I've heard this one before...OBAMA SUCKS! That's what you get when you ask a McCain supporter a specific question about some horrible idea espoused by their cr*p candidate.

Who cares
Rush is right, of course. But by this point, who cares? McShame is such a poor candidate that I can only chuckle at his latest "policy".

Besides, this bogus go-green scam (just the latest in a series of scams forced up on the US economy which is really yet another global tax levied upon us) is nothing compared to McShames real problems.

If you want a reason to not vote for him, like we need another, then look no further than his incestuous relationship with the gangsters at La Raza.

Not like my comments matter. My wife and I were never going to vote for McShame anyway. Of course we live in southern AZ and have plenty of reasons other than his ridiculous platforms to vote for anyone but him. Too bad nobody listened to the people who have lived with his (partial) insanity for the past 10 years before it was too late.

Feel The Pain Of Voting McCain
As you're paying your carbon taxes to fix the weather. Hahahaha
Ex-tex writes: Wednesday, May, 14, 2008 9:46 AM
Ronwik- I'm pretty sure McCain would...
...like to see all us conservatives drop dead as well, so I don't feel real bad about expressin' what I feel is a reasonable request. I'm glad we agree about McCain.

About Huck fo vp-- ummm, not so much.

Duncan Hunter would be my guy.

Ex-tex writes: Wednesday, May, 14, 2008 9:17 AM
Okay- McCain can have my vote,if...
...he picks the right CONSERVATIVE VP and then promises to...

drop dead immediately after the innaugural.

Is that askin' for too much- I think not.

What a load
What a load from the Rushboes. I personally don't believe cap and trade is the answer, but there needs to be some way of spurring the US to energy independency and towards nuclear and other low or no emitting sources.

The reality is that even it you believe in global warming or not or don't think it is too bad, the US still needs to get off its behind towards nuclear energy which is McCain's big push. France gets 80% of its power from it and Japan 95%.

Why don't republicans get on McCain's case about solving these issues instead of sticking their heads in the sand. If Obama gets in there will be sterner regulation and I bet no movement towards nuclear or evn clean coal because of the environmentalists. Then see what gas prices will be.
seansfm writes: Tuesday, May, 13, 2008 11:59 PM
Thanks Rush
Criticism from El Rushbo only helps McCain with Independents and moderate Democrats. I like it! Rush always finds a way to rise to the occasion.

McCain '08!

Rush is Irrelevant!
After hopping in the Mitt band wagon to give McCain the nomination, now Rush thinks his opinion will impact the general election for democrats (operation chaos)and the anti-McCain vote.......I think he is back to using drugs. It's tough to accept that his opinion is deemed more like entertainment tonight than a serious political backdrop for voting.

What we need now is a coalition of "liberal" voters to come out and endorse Bob Barr because he is the only one committed to reducing the size of government and getting the government "out of our face".

Take out the word "conservative" from your last post and it makes perfect sense. I have a feeling that this "coalition of conservative voters" is called Code Pink.

Kimberly(aka Monkey girl)has a severe case of BDS and HS. That would be hate syndrome....anything said by Hannity Limbaugh,(Brother Dave inclucded), Coulter or Malkin is not worth reading or hearing. SHe just likes to drop her moonbat guano after she swoops like a monkey from the cave as soon as any of these writers post. Just take it with a grain of salt.
She also suffers from the Triple- Syndrome-which would be the la-la-la land, facts don't matter syndrome especially if I'm wearing my rose-colored glasses syndrome.

McCain the liberal
As a republican, I have tried to stomach Senator McCain. I have tried to justify his presence and the inevitability of him having the Republican nomintion.

The Republican Party needs to REPLACE McCain if it plans on winning the Presidency.

The Republican Party choice right now is no better than if we elected NANCY PELOSI.

Joe writes: Tuesday, May, 13, 2008 8:53 PM
Unfortunately Scrappleface real on this
2008-05-13) — A day after Republican presidential candidate John McCain unveiled his cap-and-trade plan to defeat the imminent threat of global warming, a coalition of conservative voters announced it would enthusiastically support his proposal by refusing to burn fossil fuels on November 4, 2008.

“We’re eager to live out Sen. McCain’s conservative vision for the earth,” said the group’s unnamed spokesman, “by keeping millions of Republican-owned SUVs and pickup trucks in their garages on election day.”

The coalition said the symbolic move would not only “cut carbon emissions by thousands of tons,” but it would also “put a president in the White House with John McCain’s views on the global warming issue.”

May have missed us and poked himself with this one.

Pasadena Phil writes: Tuesday, May, 13, 2008 6:59 PM

Cap and trade was a plan designed by (get ready for it) ENRON!!!!! We do not need a gigantic new bureaucracy. Besides, green is profitable these days and we produce less emissions per unit of production than any advanced nation on earth. Not only that, we are the closest country in the world to meeting the Kyoto targets and we didn't even sign it! Why does our government insist on cramming a horribly expensive and inefficient new bureaucracy that will only impede the progress we are already making? Is it because they fear not getting credit for it?
Joe writes: Tuesday, May, 13, 2008 6:32 PM
Well sure what did McCain expect
Promoting alternative energy sources like nuclear, wind, solar, tidal, hydrogen, geothermal, etc. is just common sense. More drilling is common sense too.

But McCain is proposing an expansion of government with cap and trade. Sure cap and trade is more conservative than some plans, but the cost benefit simply does not pencil. Not for this issue. If McCain wants to pursue free market environmetal solutions--he might start with common fisheries and promoting alternative energy which would naturally over time acheive less use of carbon technologies.
Lori writes: Tuesday, May, 13, 2008 6:29 PM
Who are you?
Kimberley, are you serious? You don't listen or read Rush do ya? You couldn't possibly think he is a Bush supporter if you did. He supports convervatism. Not those who have destroyed the Republican brand because they have strayed from pure conservatism. Rush is no surrogate for Bush.

Some advice from a friend...please give some serious thought before you post so that you don't come off sounding...well... less than brilliant.
rushshambula writes: Tuesday, May, 13, 2008 6:28 PM
Nuclear Option GOP
I praise Rush for finally deeing the light. So now let me get this straight McCain comes out to the left of Gore and Huckabee is a bigger lib than McCain? Rush should be mad he and the rest of the flapping gums propped up their darling LDS candidate for president made his religion the deal and played it like Obama is playing the race card question it and your a bigot. Difference is they could figure out that GOP voters don't vote on emotion. They took Hunter, Tancredo, Thompsom, and finally Huckabee out of the race so they stuck us with McCain because Romney has too high of a negative rating among principaled consevatives who can't get past his liberal record
Lori writes: Tuesday, May, 13, 2008 6:09 PM
Yeah...I heard Rush say it this morning
and my heart sank. Just when I was beginning to think I could vote for McCain IF he picks the right conservative VP, I realized no self-respecting conservative would want to come aboard his ticket after that speech. What convervative would want to defend that? I know my guy has said the worst thing you can do is to restrict American greenhouse gases. It would only drive industries and jobs over to the countries without such restrictions resulting in no net reduction.

Frankly, I think whatever miniscule effect on climate that might result by reducing GHG, a single act of God could undo it in a minute. Therefore I am convinced that our devotion to God will accomplish far more than any punitive action against American industry.
Pasadena Phil writes: Tuesday, May, 13, 2008 6:08 PM
That's 2 for 2 today
First Sean Hannity, now Rush. How are Ingraham and Savage doing? The local talkers, Doug McIntyre and "John and Ken" have been with us all along. There IS no Republican party anymore. Kind of like rooting for Castro. Whatever he stands for, you support enthusiastically. Don't ask, don't complain. It's like Rudy stated early in his disastrous campaign, "You are also have the freedom to do what you're told." The new GOP. Ya gotta love it!
