Re: Malkin's Column

The most important thing about Malkin's column is that it notes Gwen Ifill, who will be moderating Thursday's VP debate, has written, what's being marketed as, a pro-Obama book.

It's titled "The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama" and is published by Random House.

It will be released on January 20, 2009--Inauguration Day. Ifill must certainly be hoping for an Obama win to help her book sales.

Drawing on interviews with power brokers like Senator Obama, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, Vernon Jordan, the Reverend Jesse Jackson, and many others, as well as her own razor-sharp observations and analysis of such issues as generational conflict and the 'black enough' conundrum, Ifill shows why this is a pivotal moment in American history," read the promotional material on the Random House website.

Drudge is linking a WND story on this and Malkin has lots of YouTube clips of Ifill gushing over Obama and showing disdain towards Palin over on her site.

McCain's team is just now
learning about this! They keep putting Palin in these kinds of situations. Why?

The interview with Hugh Hewitt was excellent. She actually got to be herself, that is why she is a huge hit. More of this stuff.

Sure she is talking to the base, but we need to be shored up right now. Give the world the real Palin. But give her an even chance!

How soon the conservo's forget these two FACTS before they whine.
1) The October 7 presidential debate will be moderated by NBC’s Tom Brokaw, who currently serves as NBC’s liaison to the McCain campaign — while spreading pro-McCain misinformation on Meet the Press. In fact, the McCain campaign hand-picked Tom Brokaw to moderate the October 7 debate[..]

2) CBS’ Bob Schieffer moderated one of the 2004 debates, despite the fact that he is a longtime friend of George W. Bush who had previously acknowledged that his personal relationship with Bush made it difficult to cover him. Schieffer’s brother was a business partner of Bush’s before Bush became president — and Bush made him an ambassador.
