"Conservative" New York Times columnist David Brooks tells his liberal Atlantic friends Sarah Palin is a "fatal cancer" at a NYC luncheon. He basically repeated the Newsweek/Washington Post line that she's too much of a six-pack Jane to be President, but with his own malignant twist. IMO, it's fine to question Palin's qualifications, but calling her cancerous is downright nasty.

David Brooks is so full of him self to much tv face time he is on every liberal show you can find he is no conservative.Look who he wright for new York times, this poor soul has lost his way never to be allowed to return you are where you belong on the leftyyyyy. |

Its just nasty to say Palinis cancerous but to sy Obama is a terroist is nice. WOW |
|
The GOP is not dead. In fact within 30 years estimates show conservatives families will have had almost 10 times the number of kids that liberal families have. The more presure they put on conservative values, the more liberals and the Democratic party will fade into faithless cry babies.
SARAH, IT'S UP TO YOU TO SAVE THE GOP, MCCAIN SEEMS TO BE THROWNING IN THE TOWEL... |

If Palin was at the top of the ticket, so would I. She's not. No Amnesty.

Mr. Obama intends to raise the top personal income tax rate from 35 percent to 39.6 percent, raise the 15 percent tax rate on capital gains and dividends to between 20 percent and 28 percent, levy higher tax rates on corporations, and increase the Social Security payroll tax on upper-income Americans.
Mr. Obama will be raising taxes on the very parts of our economy that have been the wellspring of its venture capital investment pool that is now on life support.
Exactly how Americans worried about the economy can truly believe we can tax our way out of a recession is a mystery, but that is what Mr. Obama is peddling and that is what Mr. Obama voters are buying hook, line and sinker.
But not everyone. Listen to what University of Maryland economist Peter Morici, a sharp critic of the Bush administration's economic policies, says about Mr. Obama's plan: "Obama's tax and redistribute policies will not resurrect jobs, wages or the price of stocks in American retirement accounts. ... Obama's policies may make economic conditions worse," he said this week. "His platform is full of platitudes and generalizations but not enough substance."

Or the other guy? Palin vs. Biden? I would take Palin any day. Any conservative would. Enough said. |

Alaska gets 80% of its budget revenue from oil, and then the politicians get to figure out how to disburse it to the residents. This doesn't give politicians much expertise in ordinary matters of governance.
It's too harsh to say Palin is a cancer, but if the GOP is going to promote people as inarticulate as Palin, then they may be in for some rough times. |

lots of time on your hands ,hubby with the sisterwives? morning ,noon and night you've got something nasty to say about palin ,if your not getting paid by the romney camp then there must be something really wrong at home . 8 kids and a goucho hubby must not be enough . lol lol lol lol lol lol |

I think we need to chalk this up to once again a pundit/commentator/talking head looking for his own one hour show on cable news. They are all looking for the attention by sending out a couple of zingers and then they get on television to speak their mind, maybe get an Ed McMahon sidekick position for a few days and then poof! They get their own one hour special. Apparently, it doesn't take much. I will give Mr. Brooks credit. By using the word cancer, he basically yelled fire in the theater. I wish him well in his new career. |

The problem with the McCain-Palin ticket is not Sarah Palin. It is John McCain. |
|
That would make Brooks what?
A colon polyp?
An anal fissure?
A carbuncle?
Necrotizing fasciitis?
Or merely the heartbreak of psoriasis |

GOP is gone on Nov 5. Now it will time to regroup and rebuild the GOP sans bigotory. |

McCain camp cannot allow Troopergate to see the light of day. Why? If there is no 'there' there, why not allow the investigator to submit his report?
And why is the Dobson dude paying for part of the coverup? I demand an investigation into his taxes. No church has a right to sqelch an investigation such as this.

I fail to see this Mr. Brookes. If this is true this would be due to John McCain and the handlers of Sarah Palin. Much of the criticism is that the McCain people have not let Sarah be Sarah.
I have not followed David Brookes career all that many years. I have only known of him from his time at the New York Times. He seems to me to be what I call a "sanitized conservative" or a "fake conservative". The more I read him and see him I do not believe that he shares the views of most conservatives. I think he is one of these people that PBS can look at and say "see, we have conservatives on our programs. We have David Brookes" |
