Lefty Bloggers Go After Palin's Daughter

Members of the lefty blogosphere haven't stopped perpetuating the rumor Sarah Palin "faked" her last pregnancy and are now humiliating her daughter Bristol on the blatantly incorrect suspicion she is the real mother of baby Trig.
"Sarah Palin is NOT the Mother" is the title of this DailyKos blog that accuses Bristol, a completely fit-looking adolescent teen, of having a "baby bump" in a photo they allege was taken March 9th of this year.
"Sarah, I'm calling you a liar" wrote blogger ArcXIX. "And not even a good one. Trig Paxson Van Palin is not your son. He is your grandson. The sooner you come forward with this revelation to the public, the better. " Photos of Bristol with detailed commentary about her abdomen are contained in the post.
Not only is the DailyKos disgustingly inspecting Bristol's midriff with all the fervor of LA paparazzi examining J-Lo's or Jennifer Aniston's washboard stomachs for evidence of a "bump," the DailyKos is wrong on when the photo was taken. It was taken, and published, by the Anchorage Daily News in 2006. Baby Trig, a child with Down's Syndrome, was born on April 18, 2008. That's a long time for a teen girl to be carrying a "bump" which looks nothing more than the curve of a tight sweater.
Shortly after Palin was announced as McCain's VP, bloggers at the Kos started ginning up the rumor Palin faked her pregnancy, allegedly to cover for an illegitimate grandchild, because she looked so fit and trim in photos taken a few months before giving birth.
This is only the latest in outrageous attacks against Palin as a mother. Fox News anchor Alan Colmes, of Hannity & Colmes, titled a recent post on his blog Liberaland "Did Palin Take Proper PreNatal Care?" In it, he wondered if she somehow was at fault for having a disabled child. Colmes took down the post after being attacked by the blog Wizbang and later reposted a screenshot of the blog to prove he "wasn't running away from what I posted."
Update: I originally mentioned this Kos rumor in a blog post about CNN's John Roberts's insinuation Palin would not give adequate care and attention to Trig if she became VP.
Update Two: Alan Colmes just phoned me to say he posted a clarification on his blog about his previous post. He told me did not mean in any way to suggest in his blog titled "Prenatal Care" Palin was to blame for her child's condition. Colmes says he only mean to call her "judgment" into question.
"I’s fair to question a person’s judgment if that person is seeking to be Vice President of the United States, just as the judgment of the Obama/Biden ticket has been heavily questioned. And part of that question of judgment has to do with life decisions that candidates make," Colmes clarified today. "In the case of Sarah Palin, it had to do with a choice to give a speech and then board a flight after contractions began and water began to break in the last month of pregnancy with her fifth child. "
(And for those wondering, Colmes was very kind and personable with me. We sometimes spar on the air, but there were not harsh words in our conversation at all.)

"It was taken, and published, by the Anchorage Daily News in 2006."
Thank you for finding that out!! That will put all the rumors to rest. Great job Amanda! |

This is completely ridiculous, disgusting, insulting, and absolutely outrageous.
My spouse - generally a _very_ laid-back person - is offended at the behavior of these unscrupulous lefties.
|
|
Why does this not surprise me?
Oh wait, because its normal liberal blogging behavior! |
|

It is hard to understand such attacks. But the Colmes article is surprising. Though I disagree with him he has always shown a level of professionalism I admired. Not now. I hope Hannity does not cut him any slack about this horrendous article. FOX News needs to examine it as well. |

Thanks for digging a little to find this out. It may be a bump, but I see "bumps" like that on non-pregnant girls all the time. Not every girl, even healthy, non-overweight girls, are blessed with wash-board abs. And it doesn't take degree in mathematics to figure out that it'd be impossible for a pregnancy in 2006 to end with birth in 2008. DailyKos ought to be ashamed of themselves, but I suspect they aren't. |

Dennis: "...he [olmes] has always shown a level of professionalism I admired." Professionalism?!? A leftist newsrat?!? Say, Dennis, I don't believe we've met. I am from plannet Earth. |

That's the "young voter" barack obama is so proud to have. The one who communicates by text and thrives on hollywood-style trashy behavior. The fact that arcxix, the kos blogger, would even THINK up this sort of smut just proves his/her character. Thank God not every young voter thinks like this one.
I, too, am very disappointed that colmes would write what he did. First, it was just SOOOO ignorant!!! Everyone who's having babies after 35 (like colmes) knows that Down's Syndrome is, hello!, GENETIC! Second, colmes usually prides himself on THINKING before opening his mouth.
What a shame...is this all they got?? |
|
the pre-natal attention given any child begs the question; what happened 'chez vous'?
Cadaveric tissue or formed with formaldehyde?
|
|
|
if the so called "Feminists" come to Govenor Palin's aid like they did for Senator Clinton? |
|
First some liberal talking head announces, on the day of Palin's selection, his "concern" that Palin may not be able to both work a challenging job and be a fit mother to her young children. Now Colmes -- Colmes! -- goes over the top with the suggestion that Palin's Down's Syndrome baby is her "fault."
Keep it up, talking heads on the liberal left (and Boxer and Pelosi, ladies who ought to know better). A little more of this tripe and every woman in America is going to vote for the Palin ticket.

I knew the leftist blogs were going to attack Palin, just as they did Hillary, but I didn't think they'd go after her daughter. That's unconscionable. I'm beginning to think the Democratic party hates women. |
|
|
Colmes or any other of these mutant sub-rock dwelling lower life forms make this suggestion to Sarahs HUSBAND, (Bristols' FATHER). Then I would like to see said slime wads trying to scrape their faces off the back of the inside of their skulls! (Like it would be would that MY wife or daughter!) |
|
Governor Palin's son will have a more loving heart thoughout his life than those who infest the Kos or Moveon... they have none, which matches their lack of brains, intelligence and character.
Governor Palin already has more experience than counts that Chicagobama or Delaware Joe ever had. The Demoncats have been going down hill ever since '72 and are still seeking rock bottom. |

I have read the Kos article in question and it does raise some interesting points. Of course it is not "going after" the daughter, it is going after Palin. And given that this pregnancy and birth are central to her appeal, it is legitimate to raise questions if there is sufficient doubt. If it is her grandson then at least it answers the question over what his mother will be doing to look after him, because she won't be in the White House. I must admit, I did think it rather strange that Palin was not carrying the baby during her introduction and that every time I saw the baby it was with the eldest daughter. Still, these questions are very easily proved wrong or right, so I expect the McCain campaign will release said evidence immediately. Then there's nothing to argue about... |

DailyKos Nutters are really a sick twisted bunch of ..............
How can Obama continue to associate himself with these losers. |
|
We were told that Trinity Church was a distraction, and that we should all be focusing on the important issues. Gossip about a pregnancy that may/may not have happened, is really low. This only goes to show how desperate the liberals feel about the strength of Palin on the GOP ticket.
I just can't wait for the VP Debates! Sarah Palin is going to be wonderful, most certainly. Sarah Palin has character, integrity, moral fortitude, and wisdom. She's smart, experienced, classy, and she's appealing. Sarah Palin was the perfect choice, in my opinion.

"if there is sufficient doubt" seems to be the key to your position. There is absolutely no reason to suspect that Sarah Palin is not the mother of that child. This accusation was created out of whole cloth. |
|
I have read the DailyKos article. It's like the "faked lunar landing" conspiracy sites: maybe convincing to the uneducated, silly to the rest of us. Except this is much more vile because, in spite of your half-baked denial, it IS a smear of a teenage girl.
If you can explain to me how a pregnancy that was allegedly already showing in a 2006 photo lasted until April 2008, and you can also explain how the pictures that have surfaced elsewhere on the 'net showing a visibly pregnant Governor Palin in spring of 2008 were faked, then maybe you aren't a disgusting sexist pig. |

Alan Colmes has less morals than a maggot -- The progressives are all for partial birth abortion -- never mind the terrifying cries of the tiny ones who have been left to die alone -- The libs jump on their high horses when it comes to saving ferrets, spotted owls or the lives of sadistic child rapists/murderers -- So what does the term "Pro Choice" really mean? -- Gov. Palin made her choice to give birth to a son with special needs -- She and her husband should be commended for that -- Leave their daughter alone!!!! --As for those who get their daily dose of poison and innuendo from the Daily Kos -- Get a life! -- |
