And, voters are noticing, In Pennsylvania:
“People are not happy with Obama,” Gill said. “It’s the race stuff.”
“He lied to Anderson Cooper,” said Rodica Mitrea, an aesthetician and immigrant from Romania, referring to an Obama interview Friday with the CNN anchor.
“The speech plays only among the elites,” Ceisler said. “The average person on the street cares about the economy and the war and everyday life.”
Glenn Peter, 54, a patron at Rauchut’s Tavern, said he heard finger pointing, not reconciliation. He took issue with Obama’s explanation that Wright’s observations of a racist America were reflecting the racial scars of his past.
“I don’t want to hear that you are blaming us for him saying this,” said Peter, who is white and worked at an auto parts factory until it was shuttered several years ago. Cutting ties with the church “would have been the best way to do it. That way, I could have been able to listen to him again.”
“It was a great speech,” one man said. “But what concerns me is that on the website for his church, they say they are unabashedly Afro-centric. … The underlying message is they are perpetual victims and they enjoy the victim status and by proxy, me as a white person is their victimizer. And as long as we perpetuate these divisions, we will never heal.”
“Now I am 100 percent for Clinton and zero percent for Obama,” Mitrea said.

Obama's real draw...besides the color of his skin...was that he seem to be truly a man of temperance. Someone you could trust to be a straight shooter.
However, being the member of an unabashed racist, anti-American church for 20 years ABSOLUTELY CANCELS WHAT WAS THE MOST ATTRACTIVE ASPECT OF OBAMA'S CANIDACY. Now we know that he is NOT A MAN OF TEMPERANCE and not a man that understands how truly lucky we all are to live in the greatest country on Earth. The Freudian slips about white people and rich people are now coming out of his mouth every week. You can only hide these types of feelings for so long.
We are all very fortunate that the media did expose this man for who he really is. He had us all fooled. |

O- Bomb-A-Nation?
Obama goes to church for twenty years
And sits and listens with those huge ears
Yet, expects us to believe he doesn't hear?
That's an Obamanation.
And have you noticed how close a name
Can be to a person's lifetime game?
Like Hitler's name's a clue - A. Hit.
And that's an Obamanation.
I get a bad feeling when I hear
The name that goes with those big deaf ears,
That pray upon our racial fears,
I hear an Obamanation.
Goodbye to hope and peace and change
Obama's sainthood is most profane
Please do not laugh at my explanation
Obama is an Obamanation.
It seems like God is sending us a clue
To protect our red, white and blue
From false prophets, the likes of who
Bear clues - It's Obama, Nation!
His preacher-monster, hateful bigot,

I've never used the N word. I'm a white gal (used to be caucasian), who is married to a latino, who's adopted 3 kids of 'African American' decent, and 4 hispanic kids and one asian kid.
I guess I need to re-read the GOP handbook again to see if I'm wrong in not using the N word. |

Obama doesn't deserve to be a US president and this scandal has closed his career. No matter how much his liberal admirers love his apparent recovery via this speech, he's done for the 2008 presidential election - kaput, adios, no more.
The issue was (IS and WILL STILL BE) very clear: how/why should this nation trust by giving the position of presidency, (i.e. leader of this country, commander-in-chief of US army, executive of this county's foreign policies, and other major attributes of this office), to someone who sat, heared and had fun during Wright's calling for this very country's be damned/destroyed - mister Obama, your answer? No honest answer for this clear question, just some recycling of liberal takes on racial issues.
OBFUSCATION: to make something obscure or unclear, especially by making it unnecessarily complicated (Dict.)
Now the clear answer for this question: no, mister Obama is not fit for the job of US president, and I am certain that the November vote will show this beyond doubt.

It's not analogous to compare a racial slur someone may use with disparaging a whole group of people as Obama and Wright have done.
There are black bigots as there are white, asian, hispanic bigots. A decent person would reject such notions; Obama on the other hand remains with an organization for 20 years that espouses such views. It’s more than fair to infer that Obama therefore agrees with such rhetoric. And this clown has the nerve to lecture us on race relations.

Had I made the comment "ALL YOU BLACK PEOPLE" you would have branded me a racist. I do not hate black people or their dreams. You have a very distorted view of the America that I grew up in. I was passed over in positions and employment opportunities because I was a white male. Am I bitter? Not in the least. Do I feel "white guilt"? Not at all.
Have I made money off of you or are you referring to "you" in the general sense of white people? Had I referred to black people in the sense of "you", I would have been called a racist.
I have proven my genealogy back over 500 years and all I find are poor farmers. Using incendiary language as you already have would have been akin to me saying that all of "you" eat watermelon. We all are more adult than that.

Stop frothing at the keyboard, dude. :P It's scaring people. Using ALL CAPS is usually a tip-off that the person on the other end is a bit unhinged. I have a feel for your frustration.
What I can't understand is why whites can't utter the word "black" without being attacked as a racist. We can't even open a dialog. The black hackles go up, and we get the stink eye for just trying.
Most whites I know don't want to take a chance - "once bitten, twice shy." It happens far more than you realize.
The race-baiters and hateful racists in the black community essentially dismantled the goodwill and reversed the racial advances of Martin Luther King.
MLK stood tall in the eyes of a lot of whites. Black anger got a lot of tolerance because of his calming influence, even after his death. White anger was moderated, too, by his lingering presence.
Now, as his memory fades, younger white folks are faced only with the race-baiters and racist haters. Young black folks are difficult to approach, often closed. It's all hostility, all the time, from the general black community. It is scary.
Those of us whites and blacks who work together professionally work to maintain a dialog, but there can be little joking or good natured ribbing for fear of inadvertently saying *some unknown word* that blacks consider racist, and losing their jobs. That happens *just* enough to keep tension high.
I worked with a fully integrated staff 25 years ago and it was a helluva a lot better than today.
Whites today are on notice that they can't make one mistake (verbal or work-related) or they're gone. At the same time, a black can play the race card without penalty.
Obama had a golden opportunity to heal the races with his gift of oratory. Instead, he set off a disaster.
I really wish we didn't end up in cr@p like this. Neither of us deserve it. |

I don’t know about you, but it is fun to watch the unraveling Obama-drama. What was known to only the most attentive observers became painfully obvious to all. Obama ain’t no racial healer – but rather a slick snake oil salesman. He is very, very slick, I grant you that, but poor Obama had to square the circle – and this is cumbersome to do for even the smartest of the smart.

A) Our Children?
After all, he drags his own children to church services EVERY Sunday where they are exposed to a hate-mongering, America bashing, overtly racist preacher that he calls - "spiritual advisor", "mentor", "family", even if it is his "crazy uncle"...
Just a thought but do you think Barry's kids might call Rev Wright "uncle" too?
B) The Federal Judiciary - Scotus in particular?
With at least one Dem Appointed/Liberal Justice on the Supreme Court already who feels WE should accept "certain International Laws" to settle cases in the US, do we need another that might tip the balance in that direction?
Anyone for a little Sharia Law in lieu of the our Constitutional guarantees? I didn't think so.
C) Our most important Allies around the world?
First & foremost Israel, considering his "mentor" has given an award from O'Blame-Ya's church of 20 years to the virulent Anti-Semite Louis Farakhan?
D) The well being of the ENTIRE country not just the 12% of the population that shares his skin pigmentation? Or how about our military? The economy? Reparations?
Will an O'Blame-Ya presidency make us pay and pay and pay for our past sins?
These are just a few questions I have about the would-be first black president...there are many, many more...but then again, I am just a "typical white person" who happens to Love God & Country.

This week's Obama has emerged as a bundle of contradictions. The candidate who had risen above race is now mired in it. The believing candidate who prays to Jesus attends a church that causes believing Christians to shrink in disgust. The candidate who always told the truth is now caught lying. To Major Garrett he said if he had ever heard the Wright hate-American speeches now going around the media, he "definitely would have quit the church." Now, in his Speech, he admits he was aware of them, but Wright's generation of blacks must be "understood" or dismissed. And that racial tensions can be overcome by bigger government. (Not exactly a "new" idea.)
The candidate who loves America cites as mentor one who subscribes to liberation theology which is Marxist collectivism not American individualism...who supports all things African rather than all things American.
The candidate that promised no more politics as usual has found himself in a political mess of his own making. Charges in the Rezco fiasco are yet to come into the public awareness in full force. This shiny new penny of a candidate has definitely been tarnished by his own contradictions.
I believe there are a lot of patriotic Dem. men (and women) in the street, who will vote for the unabashedly America-loving McCain over the convoluted, unknowable Obama. Who will vote for Mac over HRC, who had the temerity to call the honorable Gen. Petraeus a liar on the Senate floor.
I believe there are lot of down-to-earth average Americans who will not saddle our military with either BHO or HRC as commander-in-chief. |
