According to my European sources, the purpose of Obama's trip to Europe was to cut a deal to turn over President Bush to the world court for war crimes trial. It will play out this way: Obama wins using foreign money. Russia and Muslim countries then threaten to invade Israel, with RUssia providing the threat of nuclear retaliation if Israel threattens to use nuclear force in self defense. OBama comes to the rescue, and in return for turning Bush 2 over to the world court for criminal prosecution, the muslim countries promise peace for as long as Obama is president. If Obama does not remain president, then the muslim countries promise to invade Israel. Eventuall, Iran will have nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them. The AMerican news media will make Obama look like a hero by averting a world war, simply by turning over an ex-president of the US to the world court for war crimes. LIke other African countries, Obama will become president for life. It has already been decided that Bush 2 will be hung from the same gallows using the same rope that Hussein was hung with. Sound far fetched? It's not. Consider that England has capitulated to Islamic law in their own country. We are next.

Supports murder of babies through his unwavering support for Obama. Christian Lib justifies infanticide by asking me what republicans failed to do in the past.
Democrats/liberals/pro-deathers need to see an ultrasound of an actual abortion, the mutilation that occurs is unspeakable. Using tax money to fund this grotesque proceedure is immoral.
Hey ChristianlLib what would Christ think of your support for a party that glorifies and rationalizes infanticide, and will fight to the death for the right to kill their children?
Did you ever stop to think that your Savior (no not Obama) may not return to earth because he was aborted?
Voting McCain/Palin at least gets our government closer to reducing the number of abortions through possible new pro-life sympathetic Supreme Court appointees, and through leadership.
ChristianLib your position that because republicans IN THE PAST did not do much to stem the tide of abortions is the reason your voting for Obama. That's just pure nonsense.
You do not sound Christian nor pro-life to me. I believe you are being dishonest. Would Christ passively rationize and condone the daily slaughter of innocent babies in our country?
Look yourself in the mirror.

"Mooseolini: Puttin' on the Ritz! The AP is actually doing some investigative work -- will wonders never cease?" Blah, blah, blah..... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bother to check and see what your side has done with taxpayer money?
Seems your kind is RIGHT THERE WITH ALL THE FACTS, which are a bit thin, don't you think? Check your lovely candidates and what THEY do and then report back to me. JERK! |

Gov. Palin can make a better president that ANY of the men running in this current cycle. She has more balls and testosterone than most of the sitting CONGRESS. GO SARAH......the shame is that she is THE PERFECT FEMALE to do this job....and her own kind disses her 'cause she has an 'R' after her affiliation. We have baboons running this country....can't tell an excellent leader from a pile of dog crap on the ground. |
|
What is a Christian Lib? Is that someone who picks and chooses what part of a Christian fits your life? Do you know the definition of Christian? |
|
|
"Still, Palin’s record in office has quieted many of those who said she simply did not have the experience or ability to serve as governor. “She’s been in office for two years now and has been fairly successful,” says Gene Therriault, a Republican state senator and an ally of Palin’s, “which either belies the argument that she was not prepared or is an argument for the fact that she is a quick study." |

As I have stated before, you really need to just shorten your name to "lib" because you are obviously not a Christian.
So you are saying that government spending will not increase any greater than it did under President Bush and that taxes will not go up under an Obama presidency. And you are also stating that we will not have a single terrorist attack in this country for at least the next seven years. And you are stating that we will invade and help stabilize another Arab country under Obama's "leadership". And you are stating that Obama will stand by our military even when the going gets tough. And you are stating that Obama will not sell this country out to his Marxist and terrorist friends who hate the USA for being so great and powerful a country.
I wish you could have lived in the USSR as a Russian citizen for 15 - 20 years during the Cold War and then recently got to immigrate to the U.S. You would be voting for McCain and singing the praises of the USA. |

You wrote: "Don't fool yourself, many of those tuned in just wanted a good laugh."
If that is true, then all those viewers would have been tuning in prior to that night in order to get a good laugh from watching Tina Fey's impersonation of Sarah Palin. However, those viewers did not show up until Sarah Palin did. Sarah Palin is very popular; get over it!
As usual, liberal minds are incompatible with facts and logic. |

(sorry, the community activist) as Marshall, Patton or McArthur...
Monsieur Biden, insightful Freudian slip, thank you! Biden, involuntary Cassandra, rightfully predicted that (god forbid, in case Obama's elected) we'll soon be in a major conflict because outside forces will want to test/break Obama's mettle - in other words, America will pay in lives and tragedy the liberals' wanton need for showing to themselves and the world how enlightened, open-minded and multicultural they are, by forcing upon this country a cynical, narcissistic and utterly incompetent buffoon as commander-in-chief. Biden's remark should crown any illustration of liberals' pathological, criminal irresponsibility (anything new here?) Yes, we'll may soon see NYT, CNN and their ilk ratiocinating why Obama's presence in the office (we're liked again, he's a unifier, the plantation thing got to be adressed, etc.), overwhelmingly trumps his blunders (if not outright betrayal) which will cost this nation lives (many of them) and other severe misfortunes. And ain't you noticed lately that the Dem campaign is setting at lower and lower levels Obama's expected performance? I wonder why - has the world changed since May? Or the Grand Eel's reserve of hope'n change is getting dry?

wow, who says McCain followers aren't unhinged?
Tom, we are both Americans. I don't hate you nor do I consider you an enemy.
But such sentiments coming from a fellow American...well....that's just downright unpatriotic.
tsk tsk tsk tsk
Palin would not be proud of you Tom. |

i will not insult you no matter how crude you get.
i do agree we were attacked by wahabists from saudi arabia.
so why did we after iraq?
this is why i am against vouchers.
every muslim kid in america and there are 1 million school age muslims, would be required by their cleric take their voucher to a muslim school which would have the same wahabi curriculum as saudi arabia.
we would grow a generation of mulims who were taught that democracy and christianity are evil. |

step away from the computer man.

Its so telling to see Palin and McCain reacting to Biden's and Obama's comments. It goes to show how totally inept the McCain campaign is.
They are taking their cues from Biden and Obama. Not a good way to win an election.
There is no single solid message from McCain. Palin is doing her best attack dog impersonation, but thats about all they have going for them. Its great red meat material for the devoted GOP, but thats about it
ultimately if McCain and Palin are hoping to win this they have to stop being in reactive mode.
It aint gonna happen folks. |

I find it sad that there is a correlation between the clothing budget for a presidential campaign and "this is why America wants the wealth spread around".
Verification that the guts of the separation of this election is the Haves vs. The Have Nots.
I shop quite frequently at high-end clothing stores because it fits within my well-managed budget. I also help to support the college tuition for a less fortunate young woman who has enormous artistic talent and desired a higher education to support her goals.
Most people achieve these goals because they work very hard which gives them a sense of self-satisfaction. Not to mention the pleasure of helping those in need.
Most Americans do spread the wealth around over and above taxes. And they do it quietly and happily. It should not be mandated because it is policy of a President's personal agenda. |

i really don't have to share this but i will.
i run an industrial garage door business.
it is a good deal because garage door installers are private contractors so when business is down i don't have to pay them and my costs go down.
i have been in buisness for 20 years and gross about 1 million a year in sales.
i made 6% profit under clinton but only about 2% under bush.
obamas healthcare proposal is a good one for my business cause i am paying 600 a month right now for myself and my 2 permanent employees. |

Burning down yard signs, stealing them, trashing property, scratching KKK and doing other damage to cars with McCain stickers. Beating up a man for supporting Prop 8 (CA marriage= man+woman). That man needed sixteen stitches!

On a positive note- I was in Reno for Palin today and it was AWESOME. That lady is dynamite in a small package. She has everything- beauty, smarts nonstop, sense of humor, grasp of reality...Man, o'man, if only she could debate Obama! He would slink away with his tail between his legs. Anyone else notice how he refers to her as "your running mate". |
|
by the way i appreciate your civil responses although we obviously disagree.
in a new wall street jounal poll, 60% of obama supporters are "very motivated" while only 30% of mccains are.
WASHINGTON - With voters' increased confidence in his ability to serve as commander in chief, as well as a majority who now believe he would do a good job as president, Barack Obama has opened up his biggest advantage over John McCain in the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
With two weeks to go until Election Day, Obama now leads his Republican rival by 10 points among registered voters, 52 to 42 percent, up from 49 to 43 percent two weeks ago.
Obama's current lead is also fueled by his strength among independent voters (topping McCain 49 to 37 percent), suburban voters (53 to 41), Catholics (50 to 44) and white women (49 to 45).
In early September, after the Republican National Convention, McCain was ahead with independents and Catholics, and narrowly trailed Obama among suburban voters.
"To me, the voters have reached a comfort level with Barack Obama," says Democratic pollster Peter D. Hart, who conducted the survey with Republican pollster Neil Newhouse. "The doubts and question marks have been erased."
Newhouse adds, "Obama's beginning to meet a threshold of acceptance among voters."
Palin's drag on the ticket?
That doesn't appear to be the case with McCain's running mate, Sarah Palin. Fifty-five percent of respondents say she's not qualified to serve as president if the need arises, up five points from the previous poll.
In addition, for the first time, more voters have a negative opinion of her than a positive one. In the survey, 47 percent view her negatively, versus 38 percent who see her in a positive light.

i am a small business owner and am insulted at joe the plumber (who is not a licensed plumber).
he knows nothing about running a business and i am doing much worse under bush than i did under clinton.
The average small business owner or chief executive brings home an annual salary of $233,600, according to Salary.com's 2006 Small Business Compensation Survey. The survey reports on data from 1,800 U.S. companies across all 50 U.S. states with 500 or fewer employees. It breaks out the salaries for 12 different industries, including marketing, manufacturing, product development and finance. The average salary of a business owner in retail trade, for instance, is $169,500 -- 38% less than the national median for all small business owners. The survey found that an executive's compensation tends to increase with a business's size in both employees and annual revenue. Also, executives at publicly held companies earn "significantly more" than those at privately held companies or sole proprietors. According to the survey, small businesses pay less than their larger counterparts, for a variety of reasons. To see the complete survey results, go to http://research.salary.com.

Murtha needs to fade away and call it a day, no doubt. I understand it is a little closer than that and a big prize for either campaign. He still has to overcome that Hillary fixation there. He has a lot of card stacked against him, I guess it just depends on who actually gets to the booth. Sounds like Western PA is on fire for McCain. As with all of the battleground states, we'll see. |
|
this is what happens when you depend on the biased conservative media.
murdoch's paper had to retract that today.
michelle obama was never there.
ROOM DISSERVICE Comments: 19Read Comments Leave a Comment October 21, 2008 --
THE source who told us last week about Michelle Obama getting lobster and caviar delivered to her room at the Waldorf-Astoria must have been under the influence of a mind-altering drug. She was not even staying at the Waldorf. We regret the mistake, and our former source is going to regret it, too. Bread and water would be too good for such disinformation.

We repubs really love Joe & Osama Obama. It is so much fun watching them both really screw up their campaign: "We just want to spread the wealth around to everyone," and "Mark my word, Osama Obama will be tested!" I can see why all of you socialist pig libbies are panicing, pretty scary that you are not going to get to feed out of the government trough come 2008! |
|
certainly murtha didn't help with his stupid statements but the polls are running double digits for obama.
even if he fades it will be hard for that to collapse.
here is a statistic to remember.
during the primaries there were 500000 new democrats registered while the republicans lost 30000.
under the radar there are alot of first time voters . |
|
It was an interesting article. I also found it funny that Ed Rendell is getting shaky over the Dems position in PA. Apparently, he sees the impact of McCain/Palin recently. Doesn't look all that fait accompli for Obama.
|
|
i am pro-life.
tell me exactly what the republican party has done for the pro-life movement.
for 6 years we had a republican congress and republican president and not one thing was done.
bush could have issued an executive order to ban it.
congress could have passed a law banning it or sending it to the states.
neither even attempted this.
even if your answer is the supreme court would have knocked it down or democrats would have filibustered it, it still is a fact that republicans didn't even try.
good luck with a party that has duped you into believing they are pro-life. |

Who paid for the 2 lobster tails, lobster spread, Iranian caviar and very expensive champagne that anti American Michelle ordered for lunch while living in luxury at the NY Regency? Why should you give a rats fanny what the RNC spent, when your Messiah has donated over $800,000 to the most corrupt organization that he was involved with and still is! $150,000 seems rather bleek compared to the sinful money Obama has in his coffers with the majority of it being contributed by his Middle East cronies. |

Sarah Palin could beat up Barack Obama in a death match.
Don't even START on what Todd Palin would do to that scrawny little lifelong poofter.
Now .. do we want this 138 lb. poofy offering representing US against bin Laden? Against Ahmedjihad? Against Putin? Against Chavez? Against Mullah Omar? Against Iran?
If I were watching the American elections as Zawahiri, Soros, Chavez or Ahmedjihadad I'd be a HUGE investor into that scrawny poofty boy Barack.
Obama is a beetch folks.
F him. |

If it came down to a FIGHT between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin for our HARD WON American future an destity:

Where did you hear about the Iowa/Colorado/New Mexico issues with the McCain camp? Was it a post link? |
|
here is how it is being spent.
The Republican National Committee appears to have spent more than $150,000 to clothe and accessorize vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her family since her surprise pick by John McCain in late August.
According to financial disclosure records, the accessorizing began in early September and included bills from Saks Fifth Avenue in St. Louis and New York for a combined $49,425.74.
The records also document a couple of big-time shopping trips to Neiman Marcus in Minneapolis, including one $75,062.63 spree in early September.
The RNC also spent $4,716.49 on hair and makeup through September after reporting no such costs in August. Gee, Marshalls and Target are too good for Mrs. Joe Six Pack?
Hey, at least she spent less on make-up than McCain did. Maybe McCain could give Palin some beauty tips. And what's next, are they giving Joe the Plumber facials and chest waxes?
yea like joe sixpack or joe the plumber can afford shop at sachs and neiman marcus.
this is why america wants the wealth to be spread around.
mccain/palin your friendly elitists and hypocrits. |
|
here is the latest mccain cut and run numbers.
he is already out of michigan, wisconsin and maine.
The McCain campaign is looking at an Electoral College strategy heading into the final two weeks that has virtually no room for error and depends heavily on a dramatic comeback in Pennsylvania, which hasn't backed a Republican for president in 20 years.
While Iowa, New Mexico and Colorado are still officially listed as McCain target states, two top strategists and advisers tell CNN that the situation in those states looks increasingly bleak. Iowa and New Mexico always have been viewed as difficult races, but the similar assessment of Colorado reflects a dramatic shift for a campaign that had long counted on the state.
"Gone," was the word one top McCain insider used to describe those three states.

McCain Palin 2008 |
|
Right now John McCain is doing better in the polls than Ronald Reagan was against Jimmy Carter at this very time in the election. With the slavish coverage of the drive-by media, Obama should be ahead by twenty points in every poll. We are two weeks away and it's basically tied, and let us not forget that just about all of these polls are rigged to favor the democrats. Regardless of the whole cemetaries that will come out to vote for hope & change, It will not be enough. When it's all over, and McCain wins, that is when the real fun starts. The media are going to lose their minds, and do it publicly. Kieth Olberman may commit suicide on the air. The democrats are going to start howling like we've never seen. The Clintons are going to start exacting some payback on the turncoat media and some of the superdelegates. Nancy Pelosi may start crying on the floor of the house when her massive gains are not realized. Buckle up kiddies, we are two weeks away from some of the best entertainment we have ever seen. |

RNC Spends $150K To Dress Up Palin

Don't try to convince us that you read or watch anything outside of your bubble of rightwing hooey. FixedNews, Limbaugh, Townhall is your daily limit and we all know it.
To suggest that by shutting off your teevee programs or stopping your subscriptions will effectively end the bias and torture we endure every day from 'news' outlets that lie, well then YOU'RE RIGHT! Please do so asap, okay? The country will be a better place if you boycott FixedNews, TH, Limbaugh and all of rightwing world noise makers and lie merchants. |

We'll see who "gets it" on election day.

Hah! So the number of responses directly equates to Palin NOT being a buffoon? This is precisely why you guys don't "get it". No offense, but have you ever heard of cognitive dissonance? It might clear things up for you:

We can all look forward to the anal probes the poor old Joe had to endure if we ask honest questions of Obamalama. The most dangerous enemy we have as Americans is our own main stream media. It's time to turn off the TV and quit buying their maganizes. Let them know we are not going to be bamboozeled by their feeble attempts to destroy our country. It's very simple. If we quit watching and reading, they will behave just like a well-trained doberman pincer. That's what they've been doing for the liberals for the past 30 years. It's just a matter of willful training of the conservative public. TELL THE TRUTH and these people will either scurry for the woodwork, or if they are honest, they will expose liberals for the scum they are. |
|
Sarah Palin WILL be the next president. No one will really vote for that "other" guy. The libs may say they will, just to look good, but when their voting and noones looking there conscience won't let them I'm not worried.

You idiot! Eat your own cake. You are basing all your knowlege on liberal pollsters, on liberal news stations, on liberal BS tht you liberals think is going to dazzle and confound the conservative nuclear core of America. You are pathetic.
How in the hell does Obamalamadingdong give tax cuts to 95% of Americans when 45% don't even pay taxes? Oh, what's a bunch of numbers anyway? What he's talking about is taxing the rest of you suckers, because illegals aliens, (who are only here because they will vote for your beloved Marxist Socialist politicians)won't get taxed. Obamalama could care less about you, he cares about votes. It's too late to make you see any sense, but I just want to tell you 'dumb and dumber' liberals that you are about to make a historic "change" in this country. It's just not the change you are dreaming about. The same thing happened to Germany, Russia, Cuba, and China. Dumb asses thought that their politicians actually meant what they said. LMAF! |
|
If Sarah Palin were the ineffective buffoon they portray her to be, she wouldn't have over 100 responses to this article.
Go Sarah! |
|
What do you base your criticism of Biden on? Please enlighten me. What you described in your post sounds JUST like what a "straight talker" would do - speak his mind without partisan political editing going on. And how refreshing! This is what your party claims it has in McCain, only it actually DOESN'T, true? You can't argue with the facts, my friend.
Perhaps Biden "scares" you because you've been indoctrinated by the very lily white Rightwing noise machine that tells you to be afraid of Obama and Biden, hmmm? I mean, when the only source of information a certain mob mentality gets is lies repeated on a daily, hourly, minute-by-minute basis, that insular, fact-starved group of sheeple starts to believe the rhetoric rather than their own eyes.
Here's a test Carlos: Go outside FoxNews, Limbaugh and all the rightwing noise machine and research every single accusation that has been thrown at Obama and Biden. Seriously. Go on Google, go on Factcheck.org, Snopes.com and any other source that has NOTHING to do with the GOP or their fixed news and really investigate the claims made by Hannity and vomited out of Malkin's pie hole, and then come tell me in an honest and educated manner why Biden "Scares" you so much. |

Facts are Facts,,,Mccain would make the better president! We aren't taken in by the color of Obama's skin, we aren't swooned by his presence, we know he isn't the Messiah and we know he doesn't have any substance to Offer this country, you will ignore all facts, because you dont know any better. VOTE MCCAIN PALIN 08 |

Sound Familiar? Obama a Castro Wanna Be? He has a Great Start!
Castro: he combined health care and education, so children of all social and economic classes would be able to receive adequate health care The government today is in charge of all educational institutions. Castro eliminated all private and religious educational institutions He created free-of-charge education for all
The lifestyle of the average Cuban citizen was greatly altered. The primary beliefs of communism include that the working class is in charge of the government, privately owned property is illegal, the money of the country should be given in equivalent amounts to all citizens, and the government runs the lifestyle of its country’s residents. Education is also an important part of Cuba’s Communist government. As Castro had hoped for, these changes did have impressive short-term effects for Cuba. Serious illness and economic hardship were almost nonexistent and Cuba had the greatest number of teachers and doctors in that area of the Caribbean within ten years of the onset of Communism (Jervis 2). Cuba seemed to be looking toward a brighter future with Castro in charge. However, other unpopular policies were enacted. Castro eliminated elections and freedom of the press, imprisoned political opponents, and made religion a thing to be ashamed of |

The Latimes is a good deal more credible a news source than you give it credit for - which is not unusual for one of the RW followers of partisan lies, like yourself. However, that doesn't stop YOU guys from posting such things as Michelle Obama supposedly enjoying lobster and caviar after the debate - as if to show she believed herself too good for the rest of us, and that the election was in the bag [last week's posting of Page Six nonsense which has now been retracted].

Palin incorrectly said that the VP controls the US Senate, when she was interviewed by KUSA-TV in Denver on Monday.
Palin is such a doofus. Can't wait till she is sent back to Alaska.

Biden is an 'inverted human'. His inside (sub-conscious) is on the outside.
He actually blurts out those psychotic thoughts we sometimes have while drunk, high, or nearing a total nervous breakdown.
Biden is actually saying... "Don't worry voters, I got you covered. I'll use my superior White intellect if a crisis arises."
This Biden fella is a total Bigot. Thinking of himself as the superior White-Knight to what he sees as inferior capability, Obama.
I'm more fearful of Biden than of Obama. |

you may get what you want! a chocalate version of jimmy carter ,i remember the carter years well! 20%+ interset on home loans outrageuos gas prices, stupid economy killing taxes . a foriegn policy that makes gw look like a genius and best of all gone in 4 years !!and that was a change we all enjoyed |

wishful thinking...After reading the libs on this mini report of Palin I am LMAO because liberals have no clue about how this Arab is. He is NOT black as blacks would consider "blood."
He is 10% black, 30% white, and 60% Arab. I only ask anyone who doubts that to look it up on Google or any other search engine. He is playing all of us like a cheap fiddle with the race crap.
You libs have no clue what you are trying to do to this country. If you succeed, you will be among the most miserable citizens in two to three years. Do you know why? Because, those who demand personal liberties and freedoms...those who create jobs for you poor saps will be forfced to shut down for the duration of this Uber Socialist you are voting for.
When this Socialist's term is over, you will be able to find jobs, you will be able to create your own businesses. You will know what made America great; you will regain the devinely inspired yearning for freedom and liberty. GOD HELP AMERICA!!~ |

I can see it now:
Obama sits at a negotiating table in the middle east, waiting for Iran and Al Qaida to show up for mediation and negotiation.
Boom.
Biden is President.
Can't people learn that there is no negotiation with terrorists? They want infidels dead and they don't care how... just look at how many people they've sent to their deaths to carry out destructive orders.
Learn from history people, it repeats itself. Negotiation didn't work with Hitler, Kruschev, Khameni... why would it work now under Obama? |
|
Hey, McCain's the one who's been swaggering around talkin' tough and saber rattling at everyone over hints of having uranium and reacting to Georgian aggression - everyone that is, except Osama. Now it seems he wants to be considerate of Pakistani 'sensibilities' and let Osama go so that those who have been harboring him might keep their dignity, or whatever.
I don't know, maybe all that makeup is getting to him. |
|
Of COURSE he was. But just to be safe, let's get Andy Martin on it, shall we?
But I do agree with you on another point: McCain WAS a full fledged brat. He and Shrub have many unlikable and nasty parallels in their lives. Only it seems Shrub was a better pilot. Crash McCain doesn't have a good track record in regards to learning curves, now does he? What a total nightmare. |
|

OK, maybe Sarah is not bulletproof. The illuminati will continue taking aim at her with their half-cocked radical rifles. But Sarah Palin would never be stupid enough to blatantly jeopardize John McCain's campaign, a la Joe Biden and his "blessing" on Obama. |

I read the whole exchange between you and Nancy, where was it she supplied actual and factual data that was objective to the point where you had to acquiesce your points to the contrary?
I was just curious... |

Can't really argue with your research team. But if I had the chance, I'd get em alive and waterboard his butt. |

McCain was born in Panama on a military base. Both of his parents were members of United States Military. So that made lil johnny a military brat of the greatest known force in the world. |

Barack Obama expects America to simply take his Obama Joy Juice Jedi Mind Trick to heart and just accept at face value that his tax plan is a tax cut... that is a out and oout bold faces fabrication. It is the biggest tax hike in American history if he gets his way. With the 30% [+] of the tax base paying no taxes... and him lowering the taxable ceiling down to 250k - no one escapes the Obamatronic taxpayer indoctrination plan. It will kill our economy reduce production of durable goods, reduce income.. then his communist health plan with dig into the wallet even more because you have to belong to it. Whoa folks... maybe the Kool Aid isn't what we think? Maybe it's worse? |

This poor old lady (Bless her Heart) she tried to raise this little Hussein while his mother and father ran out on him. She was Discharged last week from the hospital. When BO visited her last year it was only for an hour (probably to tell her to keep her mouth shut). Barry is being taken to court by Martin. Oh yea almost forgot, she broke her hip. |

Do you really want to push Pakistan "over the edge now? A nation with nuclear weapons? A growing al Qaida -backed insurgency, combined with the Pakistani army's reluctance to launch an all-out crackdown, political infighting and energy and food shortages are plunging America's key ally in the war on terror deeper into turmoil and violence. Perhaps now may not be best time to publicly say Democrats or Republicans would bomb inside their borders.
A U.S. official who participated in drafting the top secret National Intelligence Estimate said it portrays the situation in Pakistan as "very bad." Another official called the draft "very bleak," and said it describes Pakistan as being "on the edge."
The first official summarized the estimate's conclusions about the state of Pakistan as: "no money, no energy, no government."
Six U.S. officials who helped draft or are aware of the document's findings confirmed them to McClatchy on the condition of anonymity because NIEs are top secret and are restricted to the president, senior officials and members of Congress . An NIE's conclusions reflect the consensus of all 16 U.S. intelligence agencies. |

Again, Andy Martin?
Please. The LATimes laid this to rest months ago, along with the accusations that McCain isn't a legal citizen either. Of the two, my money would be on McCain being an alien, whose origins are totally suspect. |

If you ever want to look even remotely credible... never quote the LA Times, what do they have, [5] whole readers now? Blind partisanship kills objectivity, they know this but yet like a partisan fly drawn to the blue light of idle-minded leftist rhetoric - they get zapped by the reality that no one cares because the know better. |

Birth Certificates can be photo shopped. Which apparently happened in this case. A vault copy with an Hawaii Stamp cannot be counterfeited. I do know all about Phillip J. Berg's case, been following since August. But your absolutely right! Why can't Obama just show the real COLB, and we could put this all to rest. If Obama was a U.S Citizen why did he have an Indonesion passport at the age of 20. The U.S.A did not share dual citizenship with Indonesia and Barrack Hussein would of had to renew his passport twice, since they had to be renewed every 5 years. http://www.obamacrimes.com http://www.contrariancommentary.blospot.com |

"SARAH Palin, already found by one investigation to have abused her power, will give a deposition in a second inquiry into her firing of the state's top public safety official. "
It was Obama loyalists who descended upon Alaska looking to tredge up an sp-called imporpriety on her behalf because she is such an afront to their ways. No less than 30 nut bucket attorney's from Obama Legal Affairs Direcorate scanned and combed and this is all they could come up with. A firing that wasn't a firing, and that panel that reviwed the "findings" don't have before them a flagrant misuse of authoruty that woul dgive them teeth to prosecute - as the the commissioner publicly admitted his leaving had nothing to do with Palin's position.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/10/21/palin-ignor es-her-own-pakistan-remark-while-criticizing-obama/
Probably the biggest gaffe McCain has ever made, saying that he'd refuse to catch Osama bin Laden if he had him in his sights. Specifically, McCain and Palin have said that if they knew where bin Laden was hiding in Pakistan, and the Pakistani government refused to go in and get him for us, McCain and Palin would let bin Laden go free rather than going in and getting him ourselves.
Let me repeat: McCain and Palin would refuse to grab Osama bin Laden if he were in their sights because it would offend Pakistan, a sovereign nation. (Talk about being beholden to the UN crowd!)
Barack Obama has said that he would grab bin Laden. This infuriated McCain and Palin (though Palin, to be fair, agreed with Obama, twice, a month ago - she's just catching up on her bin Laden lessons at McCain University). McCain is all worried about hurting Pakistan's feelings, or something. (He's such a sensitive guy now that he wears $8,000 worth of make-up.) It's really quite astounding, McCain would let a mass murdering terrorist go free. Good luck justifying that one to the American people. h/t Americablog |

Now, do you want to hang with the discredited Martin - he of anti-semitic ramblings and the folk hero of the freepers, fine by me. But let me warn you that 'going there', when Obama's grandmother may be in grave health and dying at this moment, only makes the GOP, McCain, Palin and their angry, unruly, mean-spirited mob look a thousand times worse.
Congrats for sinking to a new low, btw. |

Has Saturday Night Live called him yet? Oh it must be that they dont want him to stray from his script to tell everyone how important he is. I cannot believe this GaffMaster is privy to some of our secrets. I must confess with some shock at first to my scientific sensibilities - that both questions [the origin of consciousness in humans and of life from non-living matter] might be brought into some degree of congruence. This is with the assumption that mind, rather than emerging as a late outgrowth in the evolution of life, has existed always as the matrix, the source and condition of physical reality - the stuff of which physical reality is composed is mind-stuff. It is mind that has composed a physical universe that breeds life and so eventually evolves creatures that know and create: science-, art- and technology-making animals. In them the universe begins to know itself.
Greg, you must evolve faster. |

OK, I followed the links, and Andy Martin seems to be, to be very charitable, a colorful character. So, I'd be content to dismiss him as a flake, except for one thing: why is it that every question about Obama's birth certificate always gets answered with that certified copy from the clerk in Oahu?
Is this not important enough a question to show us the original, the document that is contemporary with the birth of the candidate?
Not to put too fine a point on it, but that certificate was obviously produced by a computer. It is no more proof of a birth in Honolulu than those documents Dan Rather was so insistent about were "proof" of President Bush's Guard status, and for precisely the same reason: typeface.
I'm not saying that the original birth certificate does not exist. I'm just saying, stop playing us for fools and produce it.
Forget Andy Martin. Listen to the questions of Philip J. Berg. These are serious charges: among Mr. Berg's contentions is that the original shows something entirely different from what the copy says.
You want this guy laughed out of court? Then prove him wrong. You can, right? Then what's the hold up? |

You must be the "Lone" angry nut here... it was the GOP that tried four times amidst rampant partisan obstructionism by one Barney Frank... to regulate the lending Freddie Mae/Freddie Mac were engaged in. His live in lover of 8 years was one of the top officials administering Fannie Mae, can you spell conflict of interest... beyond words. Franklin Raines and one of Bill Ayers buddies went around and intemidated banks into making risky loans, so don't even go there... the left is far too complicitous inthis, not saying the GOP was guiiltless, but hands aren't anywhere near as read as the left.

[SANDRA] Sarah says the Troopergate investigation showed she didn't act unethically.
[TWO POUND] This shows you have no idea what was in the report. In fact the findings were so flimsy that even the investigation does not want anyone looking further into it and no sanctions were approved. The final stance: We have nothing on her so please don't investigate this and humiliate us.

Take your three day old xtra, xtra large panties off, Cause your gonna need em to hang yourself. I dont care what Mr, Martin has said in the past, or what he has done. Obama has been summoned to appear in Hawaii tomarrow. Mr Andy Martin want's to open up his family records/birth certificate. It's going to be a "priceless" look on Obamas face, when he finally has to face the fact's. Obama was born in Mombassa Kenya in 1961. (No fault of mine) He turned in a fake Birth certificate. He may have never changed his name from Barry Soetoro to Barack Hussein Obama. So your the FOOL. Keep on Believing in change when Obamas in jail. After all He did teach Constitutional Law. |

According to Federal Election Commission filings, Barack Obama has received illegal donations from Palestinians living in Gaza, a hotbed of Hamas terrorists.

Democratic vice-presidential candidate Sen. Joseph R. The senator from Delaware also directed campaign legal work to a Washington lobbying and law firm founded by his son R. Hunter Biden, the disclosures show

DEREGULATION and GREED forged in the GOP controlled years created the TURMOIL.
FROM the latest: President's Working Group on Financial Markets
The "turmoil in financial markets clearly was triggered by a dramatic weakening of underwriting standards for U.S. subprime mortgages, beginning in late 2004 and extending into 2007," the President's Working Group on Financial Markets reported on .
-- Since 2004 Fannie and Freddie were Republican ran political operations. McLoughlin, who joined Freddie Mac in 2004 as chief of staff, has given to Republican candidates over the years, including $2,800 to McCain, and has given none to Democrats

Bush's Greenspan told the Senate Banking Committee, also in '03, “We think it would be a mistake” to more deeply regulate the derivatives contracts.
After AMERICAN DREAM SCAM, private investment banks, NOT Fannie and Freddie, dominated the mortgage loans packaged/sold into the secondary market. In 2005-06, the private sector securitized almost 2/3 of ALL U.S. mortgages.
Federal Reserve Board data states More than 84% of the subprime mortgages in 2006 were issued by private lenders.
Only 1 of the top 25 subprime lenders in '06 was directly subject to HOUSING LAWS.

I choose Palin over Oprah's little lap dog, Obama. Bow wow! |

It is a shame that we are twiddling around and twisting in the wind over minutia.
Bottom line- with the Ayers domestic terrorist relationship, could Barack Obama pass a national security background check? I bet not.
Citizenship? Where is the birth certificate? This is presently being challenged in Philadelphia. Seems that BHO does not meet the qualifications for being president.
Tested with an event according to Biden? There will rise a cheer from our radical Muslim enemies that will be deafening if BHO is elected.
All Reagan had to do is make a few comments about the former Soviet Union on an open microphone, and the Berlin wall was dismantled in less than a month. He meant business, and John McCain does too.

It is obvious you have no concern for the facts or to take time to look them up. Just keep repeating right wing talking points whether they are correct or not. |
|
A poll by the Military Times newspaper group suggests that there is overwhelming support for John McCain among U.S. troops in every branch of the armed forces by a nearly 3-1 margin.
According to the poll, 68 percent of active-duty and retired servicemen and women support McCain, while 23 percent support Barack Obama. The numbers are nearly identical among officers and enlisted troops. |
|
No where in Article 1 does it say the VP can interact with the Senate. All it says is the VP will break a tie. That is it. Anything else is an interpretation of your own choosing.
It is clear from Article II that the VP belongs to the Executive Branch. |
|
Sarah Palin is so cool you can't stand it! You should be proud of her.
Pssssssst....Democrats are going dangerously down the socialist path with all these calls for new taxes. If dems do win the election they won't be able to undo 225 years of rich white male republican repression through unfettered taxation.
A vote for Obama is a vote for BIG SOCIALIST GOVERNMENT.
Sarah's hot and you're not! Na na na na na na! |
|
The CRA opened the doors for a group known as ACORN to come in and strong arm banks into making loans to those who did not qualify for them (Obama represented in them in a lawsuit against a bank). The CRA is at the heart of the matter. Charges of racism and picket lines in front of banks not making the loans were the results. If not for the CRA the standards for making the loans would not have been lowered - last I remember a person needs a job to get a loan and someone working at McDonald's cannot afford a $500,000 house. Anyone who tried to reign in Fannie and Freddie was labelled a racist - I only know one party that engages in that behavior.
The banks did not make money on the loans until they passed them off as Grade A paper to Wall Street, China, and the Middle East. |
|
As Thomas Sowell points out in a TownHall.com essay entitled "Do Facts Matter?" ( http://snipurl.com/457townhall_com] ): "Alan Greenspan warned them four years ago. So did the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers to the President. So did Bush's Secretary of the Treasury."
These are facts. This financial crisis was completely preventable. The party that blocked any attempt to prevent it was ... the Democratic Party. The party that tried to prevent it was ... the Republican Party.

I hate to tell you this but there is a difference between the national debt and the national budget which operates with a surplus or deficit. Mr. Bush has been operating soley with a deficit budget which is why he doubled the national debt. Got it? |

We love Botox Joe. We think old Botox Joe aught to give prime times speeches every day. However, as Sarah Palin says:
"The most looming crisis that threatens Obama's campaign right now is Joe Biden's next speaking engagement," Said Palin.
Palin has gained her experience where it counts. Not in the Ivy League, not at the think tanks, not in the Senate. But down in the trenches, where life is for real, and the work gets done because it must be done. Governor Palin, on August 27th of this year, completed a pipeline agreement with Canada, which is a foreign country. Only one person in this race has ever held that kind of responsibility. Only one person has ever actually run a government. Only one person has the necessary experience, and that is Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin is the only one with any of the requisite executive experience required for office. She is the sole candidate who has ever run anything larger than a college debating society. If she is not qualified, none of them are, and we'd better dump ‘em all and start over.
|
|
Sandra, I guess you're not smarter than a Third Grader!
Article I, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution states: "The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided."
Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution states: "The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same Term, be elected, as follows:"
In Biden's debate he said Article I described the Vice President as being in the executive branch - WRONG Article II states this. Biden said that the Vice President did not have anything to do in the Legislative branch except to vote in a tie situation that the Vice President's role was strictly Executive - WRONG this is not their only role. The Vice President is the President of the Senate according to Article I.
This means that Sarah Palin's interpretation is CORRECT. As President of the Senate she can physically preside over it. That does not mean she has any vote in the Senate but she could still have influence within the Senate. What she explained to that third grader is essentially correct. Her ability to interact with the Senators and discuss legislation with them can greatly contribute to the outcome of voting and helping to determine legislative outcome.

"The CRA is the cause and it goes back to Carter, Clinton pushed it and got the ball accelerated."
Wrong! The CRA did not cause the sub-prime meltdown. Banks were making money with these low income loans but not as much as with traditional loans which is why they didn't like them. The foreclosure rate was never substantially different between low income loans and traditional loans.
The meltdown occurred for a number of reasons. First the tech stock collapse in the late 1990's, followed by the stock market drop after 9/11 made investors look for other investments so they started investing in real estate. This started in late 2001.
Because of deregulation investment firms were allowed to bundle together sub-prime mortgages and use them as leverage to take on more debt. Moody's and Standards and Poor's perpetuated this by labeling these sub-prime mortgages as AAA securities which they clearly were not.
This is just overview.

You don't seem to be doing so well. It appears all your Daily Kos for Kids and Huff Post talking points are being exposed as fiction rather than fact. And you did mention democrats being elected during the last two years. Would you care to look at the fats, dear?
George Bush has been in office for 7 1/2 years. The first six the economy was fine.
About time Obama was elected to the US Senate and the Dems became the Congressional majority two years ago:
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 yr. high; 2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon; 3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%; 4) the DOW JONES hit a record high–14,000 + 5) Americans were buying new cars, taking cruises, vacationing overseas, living large!…
But Americans wanted ‘CHANGE’! So, in 2006 they voted in a Democratic Congress & yep–we got ‘CHANGE’ all right!….. 1) Consumer confidence has plummeted; 2) Gasoline is now nearly $4 gallon and climbing; 3) Unemployment is up over 6.1 and climbing%. 4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 TRILLION DOLLARS & prices are still dropping; 5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure; and 6) THE DOW is probing another low~~90000–$14 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT PORTFOLIOS! |

You might want to go reread the report.
Finding Number One
For the reasons explained in section IV of this report, I find that Governor Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act. Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) provides
The legislature reaffirms that each public officer holds office as a public trust, and any effort to benefit a personal or financial interest through official action is a violation of that trust.
--Finding Number Two
I find that, although Walt Monegan's refusal to fire Trooper Michael Wooten was not the sole reason he was fired by Governor Sarah Palin, it was likely a contributing factor to his termination as Commissioner of Public Safety. In spite of that, Governor Palin's firing of Commissioner Monegan was a proper and lawful exercise of her constitutional and statutory authority to hire and fire executive branch department heads.

Obama treated Hillary clue you in to what he thinks of women?
Instead of defending women, you take Obama's side and attack women.
Liberal-feminist another word for oxy-moron. |

On a serious note, your partisan BS is pathetic. I mean how can you honestly think that everything that has gone wrong in the USA is the fault of republicans? Do you really think that all Democrats/liberals are morally and ethically pure and have all the right answers 100% of the time?
In case you haven't noticed politicians from both parties and the American people themselves have been harming our country. For you to be so one sided and partisan shows your ignorance and unwillingness to live in reality.
Oh by the way it's 4:30 don't you need to go out to the beer distributor before Jerry Springer comes on? |

not any more. As you put it: We are no longer a red nations!" I thought it was just one nation. mmmm...anyway, I'm not the one declaring game over. I don't have that much power. The financial crisis caused by the sub-prime mortgage fiasco falls right into the lap of the Dems and their time-and-time-again failed policies. The CRA is the cause and it goes back to Carter, Clinton pushed it and got the ball accelerated.
When the Republicans tried to do something about it Dodd and Frank stood in the way. Fannie and Freddie was run by Libs and gave money to Libs.
The very idiots that caused the problem are now in charge of fixing it - so you have not seen the end of the problem, but keep voting for the incompetants you so defend. |

You have to bear in mind that Biden was speaking to the People's Republic of Seattle. During the Primary Caucus Obummer supporters were out in force. Local news interviewed one who said, "We're selecting a candidate today based on personality. The policy stuff will come later". I couldn't believe my ears when I heard that! In-bloody-credible! But, that's the liberal mindset in the PRS. |
|
Yes, I've seen your spurious lip dribble in other political forum's... but [alas] propaganda is still just propaganda. The left wants to report that the right is fractured and disunited behind the McCain/Palin ticket, and no... contrary to unpopular opinion. We are a RED nations... with pockets of stupid here and there. Don't talk up a game you defend there buddy...

Yeah, Nancy, you dumb-bunny, she's such a dimbulb that liberals like you just won't quit villifying her.

You have so much rage against Sarah Palin.
Sarah Palin has good looks, personality, intelligence, a good marriage, and is raising a family all the while rising to the top of her political career.
Sandra it sounds like your just a tad jealous.
But your probably oddly attracted to her.
You know you want to vote for her.
Admit it.
Do it.

Please get you facts straight, there has to be a reason the "Troopergate" issue is going no where. Would you like to know why? Here let's interject fact into this little foray...
1) Sarah Palin did not interfere with the authority of the commissioners duties.
2) The Commissioner stated plainly that his leaving HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TROOPER ISSUE and he said that to the press for reasons non related to the matter at hand.
The perpetuation of unfacutal data for grown adults [supposedly] is amazingly telling when the truth is so far away from what they report. Fact check first...

but they all make blunders on the campaign trail.
There's a difference between a blunder during a speech and blundering all the time about the issues. I honestly don't know why McCain, who has better sense than this, went and drug this dingbat from the icebergs and asked her to be his VP. I guess because the GOP wouldn't let him have his first choice. Hmm... what a shame.
Despite the constant denial of the Repbublicans here on this site, her being on the GOP ticket is one of the main reasons why the US of A is steady turning blue. Boy I never liked the color blue so much. Blue NJ (go home state) blue Michigan, blue Cali, blue Virginia, blue New Hampshire, blue Colorado, blue Iowa, blue Wisconsin... oh you guys get it!!! Blue all over the place.

Take your meds dear.
I am not entirely sure what you are talking about but I will give it a shot. The Dems have "controlled" Congress for the last two years and are therefore responsible for everything wrong in your world.
First off, the economic meltdown started with the housing collapse that began in early 2006 when the Repubs were in charge of both the executive branch and congress.
Second, the economic melt down is mostly due to the deregulations introduced by Republicans (specifically McCains good friend and advisor Phil Gramm) regarding the powers of investment firms.
Third, the National Debt was about $5 trillion when Clinton left office but Bush and the Republican Congress managed to double that in less than 8 years to over $10 trillion.
Fourth, the Senate is a tie between the two parties so nothing gets done there and the House doesn't have enough votes to override a Presidential veto.
Sorry, this is a Republican mess but as usual the Republicans don't want to take responsibility for it. |
|
Let's correct that little imbalances fanfare you pose here.
Let's remember this five letter word:
T-A-X-E-S
Obama isn't fooling anyone with his slickwilly II McCain jabs with taxes. You catch more fish with a larger net and Obama's tax plan leaves no fish uncaught - or did you not get that? over 30% of American's pay no tax at all, and if you impose a grander scale [wider scope] of taxation... it isn't a tax break.. it is a huge tax increase. You're joking right? Who is he fooling?
He had the unmitigated gall to believe the non stupid populous will buy his tax hike as a tax break. It is an out and out lie... his will be the most pervasive tax hike in history. Taxes are dead expenditures. Taxation does not help the economy - we spending our money is the economy. You Orwellian nutters are funny and completely content with living a dumbed-down, scaled by life. Not me pal... I want to live and live freely and abundantly.

More on VP role.
For most of U.S. history, the vice president’s role was limited to these largely ceremonial constitutional obligations. Since World War II (1939-1945) the president and Congress have assigned more and more responsibilities to the vice president. The vice president attends Cabinet meetings and sessions of the National Security Council, the president’s chief advisory panel for formulating and implementing policies related to the military, foreign relations, and other national security issues.
The president also relies on the vice president to lead important presidential committees and panels, which study issues such as environmental protection, urban renewal, and reducing the size of the government bureaucracy. In addition, the vice president often travels to other countries to represent the president at international conferences, the funerals of foreign dignitaries, and other important events.
When the president is away from Washington, D.C., or busy with other duties, the vice president often greets White House guests of many kinds, from groups of Boy Scouts to members of professional associations. If the president is unavailable, the vice president may also attend luncheons and dinners for diplomats or other officials from abroad, and hold meetings with leaders from business groups, labor unions, and other important political constituencies. |
|
Once again embarrasses republicans and claims the v.p. is in charge of the senate and can make changes!
"PALIN: That’s something that Piper would ask me! … [T]hey’re in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom.
Last week she told reporters and good American folks that she was totally exonerated in troopergate. What's wrong with this woman? |
|
I'm guessing at this point that Obama is wishing he had picked Hillary...or at least Senator Baye.
Or Sarah Palin lol |
|
twopoundradio says
"I don't think I have ever like a politician more. Sarah is amazing honest, witty, and has the common sense America has been craving for a lot time now."
Let's see:
Sarah says she killed the bridge to nowhere - lie
Sarah says the Troopergate investigation showed she didn't act unethically - lie
Sarah says the teleprompter broke during her speech at the convention - lie
Sarah says she took a cut in pay as Mayor - lie
Sarah says she fired the state chef - lie
Just to name a few.

|
Think Palin couldn't do more damage than Gaffetronic Joe. Biden's mouth [like Hillary] will be his undoing. He is so arrogant and beyond narcissistic. Sarah is OK with me... people need to remember that the Oval Office doesn't come with a set of instructions... but it does come with a set of values to which Obama/Biden are woefully short of that standard.
U Go Gurl! Go get em' Sarah!

Palin held up a plane for a few minutes. Wow. Breathtaking stuff, really. And what did she tell us, besides more scripted talking points? Nada. I learned more about her on SNL than I did in the stolen moments before embarkment.
Seriously, dude, the fact that the Scripted One refused to answer questions in the debate last month - the time she was supposed to address the American people - and filled her time with frenetic talking points and winks is what sticks in our minds and in our craw.
Right now, Biden polling higher and higher, while Palin is doing a nose dive since signing on as Star Power Fluff for McCain. She sticks to her mob-mentality, hatespewing base and 'answers' with nonsense.
But ask her about Troopergate, and "off the cuff" she lies like a pathetic rug: "The truth was stated there in that report that showed that there was no unlawful nor unethical activity on my part," was Palin's comment on the findings." Uh, no dear. The TRUTH here is that the findings said specifically there was ethical violations.
Jon Stewart's hilarious show about Palin's "interaction" with reporters shows Palin dashing away from another reporter who had tried to ask her about Troopergate, yelling over her shoulder, "Read the report."
Politico describes it thusly: "Notice I wrote ‘fielded’ since she didn’t exactly answer them,” the reporter, Ken Vogel of Politico, wrote in his notes regarding Palin's "fielding" reporters questions. |
|
Once again, Biden warns of Obama and international affairs. I think he has a point. Two scenarios come to mind immediately: 1) Putin playing chicken with Obama over the Ukraine, and 2) someone threatening Israel to see if Obama will really defend it (I suspect he won't).
On Hannity & Colmes last night, John Bolton said Obama is seen internationally as weak and naive. He believes such a test is a very real possibility and noted how the USSR tested JFK. |
|
Why would ANYONE vote for a candidate whose own VP is convinced that his running mate's victory will plunge the U.S. into an international crisis within the 1st 6 months?
If anything, it will be Obama's WEAKNESS that will attract the bullies.
How does someone who has voted "present" over 130 times on controversial legislation, suddenly acquire a spine made of steel?
|
|
I stole this from another site:
Article I of the Constitution establishes an exceptionally limited role for the Vice President — giving the office holder a vote only when the Senate is “equally divided”:
The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no vote, unless they be equally divided.
Moreover, the U.S. Senate website explains that the modern role of Vice Presidents has been to preside over the Senate “only on ceremonial occasions.” ThinkProgress contacted Senior Assistant Paliamentarian Peter Robinson, who also disputed Palin’s characterization of the Vice President’s role:
In modern practice the Vice President doesn’t really control the Senate. … If anyone has a responsibility to try to govern the Senate, it’s the responsibility of the two leaders.
|
|
too bad she couldn't garner any laughter on SNL this weekend. What a bore...
If this wench could talk about policy as fluidly as she spits out sarcasm, I might respect her more.
14 more days of McPalin' failin' and then America will be free of the daily dumb and dumber campaign.
yayyyyy! |
|
Obama is running to be AS PRESENT of the United States. McCain is running to be as PRESIDENT of the United States.
More experience = Job. |

I don't think I have ever like a politician more. Sarah is amazing honest, witty, and has the common sense America has been craving for a lot time now.
Sarah - Keep it up, American needs you. |

I wonder how much mainstream press this will get... I wrote a bit more about Biden and his gaffes here:

...those who lean towards being democratic feel they must express their opinions so strongly on a site that is clearly republican oriented. You have to go out of your way to read the stories on this site in order to comment on them. I am absolutely for freedom of expression but I believe if you are going to bash someone then you should get your facts straight. I am trying to comprehend the purpose of bashing the governor. Is it that difficult to express your opinions without resorting to making such insulting remarks? If you disagree with someone, there are better ways to express your disagreement without stooping to the method in which remarks have been expressed here. I would hope that all of us would be considerate enough to express our opinions whether it is against someone in the Republican Party or Democratic Party without resorting to such childish comments. Remember what you say, represents who you are and if all that comes out of your mouth are rude remarks then perhaps it would be wise not to say anything at all. It is my opinion that those who are trying to find reasons to bash the governor are uncomfortable hearing the truth. It is obvious that they are more concern about her then they let on. If they weren’t worry about her, then they would express their opinions in a more mature manner. Perhaps those of you who feel the need to make such rude remarks about the governor would be more comfortable finding a democratic web site where you can bash the governor and know that people will agree with you regardless whether the facts that the Democratic Party is touting are true or not. One more thing, I don’t believe that Governor Palin uses scripts, how can you explain the interaction she has with members in the audience if she had a script.

"what a dimbulb".
Thank you for your preposterous analysis of Sarah Palin. Now here's a quiz for you:
1. Who is the candidate who claims he's been to "57 states, 1 left to go"?
2. Who is the candidate who said we should give breathalyzers to children with asthma?
3. Who is the candidate who claimed that we could "save just as much" money on gas by inflating our tires properly?
ANSWER: Barack Obama. Fortunately for you and your Leftist phony free-speechers, Obama's lap dogs in the media won't even pretend to acknowledge his inability to speak, unless he's got a script memorized. |
|
|
|
Sandra you are dumber than Biden and that's really saying something.
From the Washington Post.
In attacking Vice President Dick Cheney, Mr. Biden said the vice president's only role is to support the president and to preside over the Senate "only in a time when in fact there's a tie vote. The Constitution is explicit."
The Constitution, though, actually says the vice president is always president of the Senate and legal scholars say he has the right to preside at any time. Early vice presidents, such as Thomas Jefferson, actively exercised that role, the vice president still keeps offices at the Capitol, and scholars say it wasn't until the middle of the 20th century that the vice president had an office at the executive office building. |
|
|
Go Sarah!! Eat em' up Barracuda! To Bill the Carpenter. You are stupid, stupid, stupid. Some people have real hope and will work to make money. If I think that I always be poor, yes I would vote for Obama. But I don't. I am working, saving and investing so that one day I will have lots of money. Therefore I'm not going to tax myself. Democrats are pessimists and have no belief in the American dream. It is a party hell bent on keeping everyone a serf and dependent on the lords. |
|
Loved Sarah Palin's speech today, especially this quote: "The most looming crisis that threatens Obama's campaign right now is Joe Biden's next speaking engagement," she quipped.
|
|
Asked by a third grader:
"Q: Brandon Garcia wants to know, “What does the Vice President do?”
PALIN: That’s something that Piper would ask me! … [T]hey’re in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom."
Palin doesn't even know what the VP does. She is giving the same wrong answer she gave in the VP debate.
|
|
|
You have nothing on Sarah. She is beautiful and she is brilliant and she is fearless. She believes in the Creator and has morals and that is what bothers liberals. Why? Because you are pitiable. |
|
Amazing how liberals can lie at the drop of a hat. Sort of like (a trained Bull in the Bull ring) they snort, shake their heads and paw the earth. Notice I said "Trained"? Mention Sarah Palin and it's like the Matador waving his cape to attract the Bull's attention, and the rhetoric and lies begin. They first accuse others who may disagree with them of lying, so as to mask their own deceitful nature. Having observed the left-wing lunacy during the 60's I see little difference between today's Obama's left wing agitators and Chairman Mao's adoring disciples waving their "Little Red Books"! You gotta love em though cause they know not what they do!
So Sarah, put John in the backseat and you take the wheel of this straight talk express and get it on down the road to success next month.
Oh, I forgot to mention, Mao's disciples didn't have clue either |

From 'Dreams of My Father', "I CEASED TO ADVERTISE MY MOTHER'S RACE AT THE AGE OF 12 OR 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites"
From Dreams of My Father, " I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHER'S RACE".
From 'Dreams of my Father', "The emotion between the races could never be pure..... the THE OTHER RACE (WHITE) WOULD ALWAYS REMAIN JUST THAT: MENACING, ALIEN AND APART"
From Dreams Of My Father, "never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. IT WAS INTO MY FATHER'S IMAGE , THE BLACK MAN, THE SON OF AFRICA, THAT I'D PACKED ALL THE ATTRIBUTES I SOUGHT IN MYSELF.
From Dreams Of My Father: "THAT HATE HADN'T GONE AWAY," he wrote, BLAMING WHITE PEOPLE,- SOME CRUEL, SOME IGNORANT, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives." |
|
So what is he really saying? Could his statement that you might not agree with how we handle things be some kind of a specific reference?
I think that is EXACTLY what it is.
So what could he mean?
1) Could it mean they will offer amnesty to OBL if he just agrees to talk with us?
2) Could he be considering joining the Palestinians in their desire to remove the Jewish people from Israel?
3) What if he decided that we need to have a World War in the name of global warming?
4) Will he turn over control of our economy to the United Nations?
Who knows, but the idea that his response will not be seen as sound judgement and the implicite gaurantee that we will face an international threat in the first 6 months is a bit of an October Suprise. |

In a Comrade Obama administration we would all have the same things together no... You make money and we spend it and we all get along very good, comrade. You seem quite intimate, dear, with intelligence and lack thereof. This election cycle of the Republican party's continued quest to dumb down the base is historical, even compared to Bush's. It's why McCain and Palin are currently struggling to throw anything that sticks at Obama, and why, currently, they are losing. It's why Palin - lying, scripted, unfunny and mean-spirited - has become a parody of herself, along with her uncontrollable RW mob of stupidity. The level of discourse in this election has been lowered by McCain/Palin and his mindless sycophants (and I am guessin' that includes you, Teetee) to such a disgusting degree that to call attention to ANYone else's intellect is just more of the same laughable irony that we've been forced to endure for months.
Get a grip for once and recognize the utter numbnuttery that has become your party and it's solid encampment in the trash heap of politics. Look under the soggy Rove toilet paper, past the smelly rot that is the smear campaign McCain has signed on to, and find yourself tucked in between the fetid goo and the decaying flesh of the McCain campaign. That, my dear, is the essence of intelligence gone to waste and the demoralization of the 20 percenters. |
|
The Sun Times blog reporter just published the memo from Obama camp that is quite surprising. They are selling positions for reporters and cameras at the election night bash. The costs range from $500 to $2,000 for prime positions.
Just an FYI, the location of this event a.k.a. The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is a public park in Chicago!
Obama needs to be knocked down a couple of pegs. Go vote for McCain and burst his ego!
If you want a good laugh. http://www.suntimes.com

"These women don't speak up where people they don't know can hear them, and don't speak up where they might get confronted as it's just not worth it to them, but they are quietly talking to one another."
Funny how the libs & feminists abhor Sarah Palin but get weak in the knees for an alleged rapist, Bill Clinton.

Don Writes: Don't fool yourself, many of those tuned in just wanted a good laugh ---------------------
No, the whole world tuned in to see how she would handle the situation and she passed with flying colors... and everyone saw how low and pathetic SNL garbage has become. She is very Presidential in her manner and demeanor. She didn't let any of that rubbish affect her.. Some people like you get a laugh but the majority wanted to see her in the fray and she showed how strong and composed she can be.... She has energized her base and has convinced independents like me that she is the real deal. |

election if McCain-Palin loses is that political feminism will be a joke forever.
Only those blinded by partisanship or ideology do not see the talent Governor Palin is offering America. Only a fool would claim to be supportive of feminism and oppose Governor Palin.
This is one guy who, if McCain-Palin do not win, will never be able to hear the word feminist without thinking it means clueless women who cut off their nose to spite their face. Feminism will be a joke forever. |
|
Joe Biden, in his customary foot-in-mouth way, has all but guaranteed "the folks" that should Obama win, the United States WILL be attacked.
What he didn't need to say, but what was INHERENT in his words, was this: Terrorists view Obama as a weakling, as someone who will not fight back and will quickly beg and plead with them to come to the negotiating table. Some might call that a wuss.
Say what you will about the economy, the No. 1 threat to this country remains terrorism. Barack Obama is no match whatsoever for global and Islamic terrorists. He is a nothing, a person with NO ACCOMPLISHMENTS and NO TRACK RECORD and not even ONE notable piece of sponsored legislation who is strictly a creation of the Democratic party and the mainstream media. If elected, he will bury this country. We will become a socialistic third world nation, which is exactly what Barack the socialist wants.
He must be defeated. |

You know the more people like Joe Biden and John Murtha keep opening up their mouths and saying stupid things they are just making it easier for McCain/Palin to win this race. The bottom of the GOP ticket has a lot more Executive experience than the top of the Democrat ticket. But liberals just don't seem to get it. And I also believe that Bill & Hilary will be pulling the lever for McCain Nov 4th just on GP. And I think when most people go into the voting booth in a couple of weeks they will be doing the same. If people are that stupid to vote for Obama's socialism? Then America deserves what it gets. Thank God for Joe the Plumber, I really think he is single handedly responsible for turning this race around. And that does the 'tolerant' left do? They go after him, and don't tell me the Obambi isn't behind the smears. He got exposed for who he really was and liberals don't know how to respond to challenge except by smears and character assinations. |
|
If Palin were nothing to be concerned about then the Liberal media and hollywood crowd would not go out of there way to slander her and anyone else who gets in the way... She is powerful and gaining in strength everyday... every time they slam her she gains in popularity... hence the tv rating from SNL and the over the top rating for the VP debates... BO should have chosen Hillary as his running mate which was a calculated mistake... If he were such a rock star being hailed by the masses why isn't he leading by 10-15% in the polls? I tell you if he doesn't take more than 48% of the vote he will lose just like bore and kerri... How fitting for him to take the popular vote and lose the election... PALIN 2012!! after a strong VP showing.. |
|
Angel666, I bet those pols were taken in the Anchorage area. Still, at 60%, she ranks higher than the Dhimmis in Congress. Have they come up to 10% yet?
I love the way the Dhimmis slam her. Every time they attack her, some more quiet women identify with her, having been hit with the same sexist and condescending bs.
These women don't speak up where people they don't know can hear them, and don't speak up where they might get confronted as it's just not worth it to them, but they are quietly talking to one another. |

Has two events today.
Why are townhall bloggers so clueless? |
|
If Obamanation and bumbling Biden win this election, I'm moving to Mexico.
At least they are honest about being dishonest. |
|
"that all of their lies about and negative attacks on Governor Palin have only served to make her more popular and stronger."
In what reality is this reflected by Palin's falling favorability and McPalin's poll numbers? She dropped from 80 percent approval in Alaska to 60 and tumbling!
But please, you guys were so jealous of Obama and his "rock star" status you had to get one for yourself -- except she turned out to be a pop tart.
And I love her big press conference: on the tarmac. On the way to a diner. Yes, that's a real press conference. Biden has made over 100 appearances with the press.
Palin has a ways to go, but she'll be back to Alaska on November 5, so no biggie. |
|
If Palin's is so minor and so inexperienced why such the outcry of concern over her?
Biden is surely one of the most arrogant and self-righteous politicians. What good is Biden's foreign policy experience (his supposed saving grace) when he is always wrong? Don't worry about it, though. With Biden as Vice President everyone who needs a toaster will get one.
Obama-the mighty empty suit who can saying nothing better than anybody. This is the best the liberal Democrats can do-Barack HUSSEIN Obama-a man with no experience, with no ideas, with no leadership skills, and who possesses little idea of how this country works (capitalism, not socialism). If his redistribution of wealth sounds good to you, don't wait for him to come into office. Just start giving it away.
If you want to, or need to, know how bad it can be, and likely will be, under a liberal Democrat president such as Obama, read about the FDR and Carter administrations. So, if you can't take care of yourself or think others can't take care of themselves, then go ahead, and by all means, for vote BO. I'm sure you will be better off in 4 years then you are now under years of tax increases and government involvement in your life.

Can you say President Palin...

With Obama not willing to give up on one of his socialistic program, Nancy Pelosi rubbing her hands together to start buying up that voter base with tax dollars, Barney Frank saying - we need to come up with more spending programs because there are a lot of "rich" people out there that can pick up the tab - STOP STOP STOP. McCain/Palin - freeze spending FREEZE SPENDING - exactly what all of us do when we see our budge getting out of control - examine and reform progarms as necessary - energy independence - cut taxes on people able to provide jobs and pump cash into the system. OUR NATIONAL SECURITY TEAM McCain/Palin!!! Biden has a problem - I have thought so for many months - even watching him through the years - he is usually wrong on every important issue. NOW THEY HAD TO PULL HIM BACK - too much lip flapping - but Joe can't help it - something is wrong folks. Lies and frightening stories are his trade mark. Obama is not ready and Joe Biden is over cooked. What meds is Biden taking - Obama for that matter - cool McCool. |

Chevy Chase was right to not want Sarah Palin on SNL because she would draw a large crowd just to see her.. She obliterated the SNL TV ratings for the last 14 years which shows that people want to see her and not the stupid liberal crack-head show that no one watches...
Palin mania is sweeping the country and with good reason... she is smart, articulate, strong, Reganesk, American, great looking, and understands the pulse of the nation.. She has a son in the service and she is an awesome mom.. What we need are real people in Washington not liberal hacks like pelosi. I would love to see Sarah sitting next to pelosi at the beginning of congress next year after they win the election... that would be so fitting.... |

CBSNews.com:
"The candidate who has been criticized for having a bunker mentality when it came to the national media can now lay legitimate claim to being more accessible than either Joe Biden or Barack Obama.
In the past two days alone, Palin has answered questions from her national press corps on three separate occasions. On Saturday, she held another plane availability, and on Sunday, she offered an impromptu press conference on the tarmac upon landing in Colorado Springs. A few minutes later, she answered even more questions from reporters during an off-the-record stop at a local ice cream shop.
By contrast, Biden hasn’t held a press conference in more than a month, and Obama hasn’t taken questions from his full traveling press corps since the end of September. John McCain—who spent most of the primary season holding what seemed like one, never-ending media availability—hasn’t done one since Sept. 23.
Though she often turns the “mainstream media” into a punching bag on the stump, Palin clearly enjoys interacting with reporters. She seems to relish the opportunity to demonstrate that her breadth of knowledge far exceeds what she offered to CBS News’ Katie Couric in a series of interviews that were marked by vague, often convoluted answers to straightforward questions."
Sarah Palin is no dummy, Nancy. McCain's campaign people underestimated her just like you are. She's proven them wrong, and now they admit it. Sarah is a person with extraordinary gifts for communication with Americans, and people are responding in a big way. She's right on the issues I believe in, and she's fascinating as a person. I can't get enough of her. As for Obama, he is the guy who needs a script, as Joe the Plumber just proved for us all once again. He bores me to death with his "soup line America" drivel. Sarah inspires the people she talks to with Reaganesque pride and love for America and her people.
Your hate is showing:) |

If they had only chosen to ignore her, instead of constantly publicizing her, they might have had a chance to diminish the positive affect she is having on this election period. Somehow the lefties never see the consequences of their hatred and lies can be their defeat. |

You have mistaken me for someone else! But I appreciate you thinking about me! :) |

Sarah you are absolutely right on the money. If Sarah Palin said half of what Joe Biden says, SNL would have enough material to last till the end of the year. We love you Joe, and keep up the good work. Between Joe B. and Joe the plumber all we have to do is sit here, and watch the Democrats destroy themselves. This is better than SNL. |

Weren't one of the clowns here at TH that spent all summer sniping about Obama's star status? Yeah, I think you were! What a funny irony that you'd be all star struck now over celebrity!! |

Palin should stick to slapstick and being an Alec Baldwin flack maven. She is better suited to the caricature of SNL than being a serious candidate. Whew, what a dimbulb. |

I LOVE Sarah Palin! She has been a ROCK STAR VP pick! She has risen to every occasion, gotten huge crowds and the absolute liberal hate shows she is doing a great job! |

McCain/Palin are on a roll, man. |
