The Perfect Hillary Campaign Poster
Posted by: Mary Katharine Ham at 4:22 PM

Just saw this on the Reuters photo wire:

It's perfect. Simple, bold, clear, and somehow iconic. I just can't seem to place what it reminds me of...

What could it be?

It just seems so fitting somehow...

I'm stumped.

Y'all got any ideas?

Hmmm...

Two for the price of one...
When I first saw it, I was uplifted and encouraged by the white hand of Hillary, backed up by the reassuring black hand of Bill Clinton, "The first African-American President". I guess I need to watch more movies.

911 Memory?
Wasn't there some kind of poster or tv ad about 9/11 that was similar to this? I can't really remember but is her camp trying to stir up some emotion or something?

Invasion of the Body Snatchers

M-Kat,

You crack me up.
Here's another appropriate movie poster (with a hand) to check out---"Invasion of the Body Snatchers."

Just cut & paste the link into your browser;

Dawn of the Dead
That is funny...George a Romero meant the "Dead" movies as a political staement. I am not sure that was his thought, but Hillary is quite the zombie. (I think some of the corpses may be a little fresher than her and her material though)

Deeply symbolic. Looks like drowning hand's final count, finger-shadowed by a turkey, to me.
Jeff H writes: Tuesday, February, 13, 2007 12:10 PM
Actually...
...that hand in the top poster is all wrong; needs to have 4 of the fingers removed, leaving only one.

You know which one.

Hands Up for Hillary
Hillary often asks for a show hands. Too bad she hasn't learned her lesson.

During her 2000 campaign for the Senate, Mrs. Clinton made a trip to Buffalo where, in a private facility on the airport grounds, she held a rally for her supporters. Inside a semi enclosed hangar, she took the microphone and worked the crowd.

"How many of you are coming to my fundraiser tonight?" she asked, "Let me have a show of hands". Almost everyone put their hands up, but a man in the back of the hangar did not. "You in the back," she called pointing to my friend, "You're not coming to my fundraiser?"

"No," he answered.

"Well, what are you doing here?" she demanded.

My friend smiled and replied, "I own this place and I'm putting fuel in your aircraft."
CandySlice writes: Tuesday, February, 13, 2007 1:32 PM
There was also that steamy window scene
in the movie, Titanic; but that would have been a better poster for Mr. Rodham Clinton.
Lifeofthemind writes: Tuesday, February, 13, 2007 3:16 PM
Deliverance
Typhoon was correct. That is still one of the best final shots in the movies.

I've been in the room with Hillary on a few occasions. Each time the temperature drops. She is a very frightening person.

Hillary Poster
Okay, this is way over the top. I mean, Hillary's hand in the air as she goes down for the last time? Drowning in a flood of electoral rejections?

Don't you know she's going to win? Haven't you gotten the message that she's unbeatable?

This may be interpreted with the other posters, though, as some kind of evil deal. I really don't think Hillary is evil. Not in the classic sense of Satanic. He was the angel of light, after all. He looks great with makeup on. And all he does is tell lies, deceive, trick, harangue, abuse, accuse, and destroy people.

Hillary's not like that at all. She just an egomaniac who will stop at nothing to get herself elected. With Satan, at least we know what he's up. With Hillary? Who knows what really lurks in that steel-plated heart of hers?

The Hand
The black hand, of course, is Mr. Clinton ready to take back the WH. If she did not have her husband's name, Hillary would be one of 100 other senators not terribly distinguished. I'm all for a woman pres, but Hillary is no Finestein, no Pelosi, (better female Dem candidates who know where they stand). She's no Merkle, certainly no Thatcher or many other foreign female leaders. She's a reflection of her husband and that's what the hand shows.

Notice that the hand in the spotlight is in the center, but the dark shadowy hand is lurking to the left.

Listen to the disembodied hand...the disembodied hand knows.....

Gee, looks like they forgot to cross the "t" in "Hitlary."

Doesn't she know we all know her from her stint as "Mrs. President"? Whose she trying to fool?

Generic Subject Line
First it reminded me of someone drowning, next it reminded me or Thing from the Addams Family, then it felt more like the Hillary Political Machine steam rolling over the little guy, but mostly now it reminds me of when you where in school and you raised your hand to tell the teacher you had to pee.
