Hillary Pulls One Over on Obama Last Night
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 2:08 PM

Townhall's John Hanlon picked up on an interesting line from Hillary's speech last night.

At one point, Hillary declared she, “can't wait to watch Barack Obama sign a health care plan into law that covers every single American.”

It was a strong applause line -- and the crowd reacted accordingly -- but the question remains as to whether this was a compliment or a well-hidden criticism of his health care plan.

According to the Boston Globe, during the primary campaign, Clinton “argued that Obama's plan would leave uninsured as many as 15 million of the estimated 47 million Americans without coverage ...

Also, during that month, Clinton said in the CNN YouTube debate that “the most important thing here is to level with the American people. Senator Obama’s health care plan does not cover everyone.”

Almost nobody has picked up on this possible slight.  New York Times' Maureen Dowd did subtly note in her column today that Hillary,  “thanked her ‘sisterhood of the traveling pantsuits,’ and slyly noted that Obama would enact her health care plan rather than his.”

If Hillary Clinton is still advocating for her own plan even when she is not the nominee and Obama is accidentally introducing Joe Biden as the next President of the United States, if Obama wins this election, what he is actually going to do if he is elected President?

Spend his days in the gym?

It seemed like a playful jab to me
' At one point, Hillary declared she, “can't wait to watch Barack Obama sign a health care plan into law that covers every single American.” '

When I heard her say that, it made me wonder if she and Obama had a friendly personal debate going that we don't know about. I took it as more playful than challenging. Hillary humor maybe?

Tigers show their Orange
Ride the tigers tail Sen. Clinton.

Promote your rival while standing and showing why he's the worst possible choice.

It was a tour de force for Sen. Clinton.
Her tie into the struggle for political parity by American women was proof stamping the coin with her own likeness. She made the listener believe that she was more than worthy, she is historic.

Sen. Clinton gave an enthusiastic nod to Sen. Obama and that nod was the feint of faint praise.
Who in that hall, watching on television or viewing in cyber could have felt that the better candidate will accept the nomination Thursday?

Hillary Clinton would have been a formidable candidate in 2008. It is our good fortune that the party of the Democrats has devolved into their limp pretense at patriotism and wicken spirituality with their passion for Sen. Obama.

They won’t win the election they couldn't lose.

well-hidden criticism
I vote well-hidden criticism!

What REALLY bugs the hell out of me about the issue of "free" and "national" Healthcare in the United States, is the little secret/fact that we have it!

If you are poor and/or uninsured and go to an emergency room, you are not going to get turned away!

The United State has the best healthcare in the world for about 85% of the population. For the remaining 15%, it is still pretty good. If I was poor and uninsured I would much rather get sick in the United States and go to a public/free hospital than anywhere in Europe.

The liberals want to do away with our current system and create a system that would provide bad healthcare for all!

These old campaign insults always come back.

Anyone else remember "fuzzy math?"

Can you blame her getting some jabs?
It is like the story of the frog (Barack) and the scorpion (Hillary), the scorpion simply cannot help itself.

Ilinois Obama and the Temple of Doom
Apparently Illinois Obama is challenling Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It is the aniversary of the I Had A Dream Speech.

Even Andrew Sullivan thinks its over the top.

I suppose he could buy a ranch in Crawford and hang out there a lot.
