It seems that the phase "Just Words" is the only thing "plagerized" from Deval Patrick. The rest of the phrases, used by Patrick without attribution as well, are from other famous writings or speeches by other people.
The message loses some power if you have to say, "Deval Patrick once said that words matter. Quoting the founding Fathers, 'We hold these truths to be self evident' and 'All men are created equal' he added 'Just Words?' and JFKs 'Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.' Again adding 'Just words?'"
All speeches, stories, conversations, movies, etc. contain elements of plagiarism. "There is nothing new under the sun." You just have to look hard enough to find the connections. In this instance, Deval Patrick actually suggested the phrases to Obama.
"Nothing to see here folks, keep moving" -Some cop in some movie somewhere |

JFK said, in regards to Dem/libs, "Ask not what you can do for your country; ask what your country can do for you..." |

So, McCain can't campaign on national security, because that's what George Bush campaigned on in 2004.
He can't say "no new taxes" - without attributing Bush, Sr. - because that's what George 41 campaigned on... oh, too late.
This is really stupid.
People like Sarah are banking on appeals to bigotry. Now we have appeals to stupidity.
Clinton's firewall is Wisconsin. If Obama comes out of tomorrow's contests with a +20 gain, HRC's path is almost impossible. With a +130 pledged delegate lead, HRC would have to win by huge margins in every remaining contest. |

seems like Mr.O has borrowed all of his theme and messaging from Deval. This yet another video ( NEW ONE) circulating the blogs.
this guy is turning out to be a real fake... |

You would be HARD pressed to find a single speech made by a single politician that does not draw on others. As a matter of fact, the two people that you mention, JFK and MLK often referenced the words of others without attributing them. This is standard in politics. Also, it is telling that Clinton's campaign chairman would not say that HRC hasn't done the same. The voters have seen this before. Newsflash...people are tired of it. This is all an HRC desperation attempt to change the story.
Here's the thing, HRC knows that she has to win Wisconsin. Forget about what she says about Texas, Ohio and Pennsylvania. It is nearly impossible for her to come out on top with the pledged delegates. This is especially true with the way Texas assigns delegates.
What do you want Obama to do about his middle name? Are you saying that we can't have a president with a particular middle name? I think voters understand that people don't choose their parents and they certainly don't choose their middle name. Appealing to bigotry will not work. Ask George "Macaca" Allen. If bigotry was going to work, you would think it would in Virginia, but Virginians said "get lost." |

Obama is a well educated lawyer who knows that when and if a person quotes another person, he or she should give credit. For a long time now, we have heard what an eloquent speaker/orator/communicator Obama is. Well then, he should have cleared that up instead of taking credit. I am tired of people saying Clinton should go easy on Obama, she should keep hammering him away and showing americans what some of us already know - Obama is all talk without any credentials, or achievements worthy of the presidency. This is the fairytale Bill Clinton was talking about. Republicans are ready to clarify to americans that Obama is not JFK and he definitely is not MLK. If it's just words - THEN USE YOUR OWN WORDS O.HUSSEIN AND HOW ABOUT USING YOUR MIDDLE NAME WHEN YOU ARE AT IT! His credibility will be questioned now and in the general election he will not brush it off. |

The deperate flailing of a faltering campaign. Obama and Deval are close friends. The origins of this "plagiarism" is as simple as this:
"Hey Barack. You ought to say something like this .... it was effective for me back in 2006. Try it out."
Clearly NOT plagiarism.
CNNs latest Texas poll once again shows that Clinton can't compete head to head with Obama. Where she once had a 20 point lead, she is now ahead by only 2 points.
Obama supporters know that Clinton is a master at dishonesty. Does anyone think that this phoney "plagiarism" will hurt Obama? Not a chance.
