An Interesting Interview With Senator Christopher Dodd
Posted by: Hugh Hewitt at 3:57 PM
Tom Scott asks the questions.  Though Scott is long-winded and acusatory in the set-up, the exchange is revealing and exactly the sort of tough interview that Beltway journalists just don't do with Democrats:

The backstory to the interview is here.

Ixnay on side ways uses of the word "ag-fay." That's flaggable word my friend. Wing-nuts like Helene have been e-canned from TH for much less.

References to other people's sin in that manner only draws focus on your own. Chris Dodd's sin that we NEED to focus on was helping create the financial environment we're in right now with allowing garbage loans to bozos who had no ability and probably no intention of paying them. For that, he and Frank should be tarred and feathered.

Lying POSs

Dodd and Fwank need to be tarred, feathered, and run out of town on a rail, then thrown into a crowd of people who have been wiped out financially by Dodd's and Fwank's traitorous pillaging of our economic system.

Send them both straight to hell.

Can you say: "Double Standard"?
We all know that if it was Tom DeLay or Newt Gingrich that was being investigated for mortgage fraud and conflict of interest by the Senate Ethics Committee, the leftist MSM would be all over them like a bum on a baloney sandwich. Tom Scott wants to ask much more polite and less threatening questions than any other journalist would have asked of Republicans, and Ginger and the left want to castrate him.

I'm a Libertarian, by the way.

the full interview here
You know I find it hillarios that rag sniffing liberals get up in arms about one journalist asking a hard question of a guy under multiple investigations of mortage fraud, a guy who chairs a US Senate commity on finance.

Second if Dodd was under FBI investigation at the time of this interview why didn't he just tell that to Scott?

But hey if this was Scooter Libby or Karl Rove or the marines of Haditha any of the above could be in prison or at the least fond guilty in the media court of circus journalism and we would be told to shut up about it.

Chris Doddle and Blarney Faggerty
are both worthless "PsOS"!
foxmustang writes: Wednesday, November, 12, 2008 6:00 PM
hey Jeff....
it's even worse than that.....
Barney Frank was tasked from the House side with overseeing the financial system (which he obviously didn't do).....
he has a gay male lover at Fannie May.......
[snicker]...
Sorry, I just can't say Barney Frank and "Fannie" in the same sentence w/o laughing...
Chris Dodd was tasked from the Senate side with the same oversight(he failed also).....
You see, Dodd was too busy pursuing and accepting a "sweetheart" deal from Countrywide Mortgage.........
Both should be prosecuted with conflicts of interest.......
If found guilty, Dodd probably wouldn't enjoy incarceration.......
But think of the fun 'ol Barney would have in the prison showers......

Huh, interesting. When exactly did the executive branch get the ability to write legislation?
Jeff writes: Wednesday, November, 12, 2008 4:58 PM
Ginger, Ginger, Ginger...
I recall being outraged at the financial meltdown over the last 60 - 90 days prior to the election. I recall being told by the left that blame should not be fixed at one party or another - BOTH were complicit in the creation of the mess. So I paid attention and did a little research.

Barny Frank - protected and defended the status quo when GOP congressmen said sumpthin's up. Frank is a Democrat.

Chris Dodd - ditto (see Frank above)

Maxine Watters - ditto, plus, she insinuated it was a racist act to question Raines about the issue

Raines - ditto, plus he took significant bonuses that the Dem's constantly harp about in the private sector.

We were told there was plenty of blame to go around. That should not deter us from investigating and prosecuting ALL perpetrators regardless of party.

With the liberal president elect Obama declaring this an age of "post-partisanship", how do you square your post to the tone of the leader of your party? I thought we were "united" now...

Like O'Reilly wasting his interview with
Barney.
The way to get these guys is to ask simple, well informed questions.
You have to use their quotes and words.
Making big summations and accusations only gives them cover and time to fabricate rationalizations.
