This is one leftie who's pleased as punch about the verdict. Saddam was arguably the most brutal dictator on the planet at the time, and deposing him (and hanging him like a dog) are official Good Deeds.

Guys like this worship power, nothing else. If they can use athiesm to get it, fine, if they can use religion to get it, that's fine, too.
