McCain Finally Hits Obama on Energy Hypocrisy
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 2:53 PM
John McCain is calling out Barack Obama on his 2005 energy bill vote:
"Now, I want to take a minute here on this issue, because I think Senator Obama is a little confused.  Yesterday he accused me of having President Bush’s policies on energy.  That’s odd, because he voted for the President’s energy bill and I voted against it.  I voted against it because it had 2.8 billion dollars in corporate welfare to oil companies that are already making record profits.  Senator Obama voted for that bill and its big oil giveaways.  I know he hasn’t been in the Senate that long, but even in the real world voting for something means you support it, and voting against something means you oppose it."

The media is literally ignoring Obama’s vote on the 2005 energy bill.  That is absolutely unacceptable.  We have here a Democrat who pays lip service to the notion of being "green" and who talks about fiscal responsibility and yet he voted for an extravagant, costly bill that gave masses of subsidies to the same industry (oil and gas) he has been ripping on the stump.  There is a high degree of hypocrisy here, and it is astounding that it is attracting no attention among the mainstream press.

Ouch! Facts are stubborn things
Obama voted for Bush's energy plan

and

McCain voted against it.

I'd say this sums it up
rather nicely!

McCain has money he has to spend
by the Convention, so he should start blasting Obama with everything and anything he can come up, including but not limited to - the kitchen sink! I'd let him have it with both barrels, pull no punches, spare nothing! The Media have made him an overnight sensation, even though he's light years from being anything special, and in doing so have also given him a free ride. But Mc Cain should make up for their ignorance in spades (no pun intended) and apply the knockout punch that lands him down and out for good!

Let's Have Some TV Ads Then!
This is what ads are for. They're more important for McCain, since he can't count on the media to do their job.

Barack Obama, politics first.

Obama, Democrats and Energy
The Democrats have no energy plan at all!

There energy plan is to slam "big oil" and to propose a windfall profit tax that will actually cause oil and gas prices to rise, since they will spend less money on drilling and research and development and the supply would drop.

Democrats have wanted high gas prices for decades. They have been more concerned about the environment than Americans who suffer with high gas and oil prices.

The way to get oil and gas prices down is to 1) drill more and 2) build more nuclear power plants. The Democrats are opposed to each of these ideas that would lower gas and oil prices.
