No Wonder Why We're Demoralized
Posted by: Amanda Carpenter at 7:16 AM
This will make you sick.
From Politico:
Republican Senate leaders — terrified by the prospect of losing five or more seats in November — have freed their members to vote however they need to vote to get reelected, even if that means bucking the president or the party’s leadership.

On at least four votes over the past month — Medicare, housing, the GI Bill and the Farm Bill — Republican leaders haven’t even bothered whipping members to toe the party line or back President Bush’s veto threats. Instead, a GOP leadership aide says leaders have told vulnerable senators that it’s all right to “get well” with voters by siding with Democrats on anything but energy and national security.

This is the problem
in a nutshell.

Once again, our team is not only losing, we're not even on the field.

GOP=WHIG

With all due respect. If the GOP thinks they can continue to import cheap labor for their donors at the expense of the citizens, they will. I will not vote for that again. If we continue to play the game of "the other guy is worse", we will lose our country. Sorry, but I will not participate in that game any longer. The GOP power brokers think we will vote for "anybody but a Democrat" so they can continue to ignore securing the borders and enforcing the laws. I was hoping GOP primary voters would give the party elites some surprises in the primaries. We never really got the chance. First choice Hunter, second choice Thompson, third choice Romney were all out before VA voted. I wanted to vote for a GOP candidate in Nov.'08, I will not vote for any amnesty supporter. If it takes crushing the GOP so a new party representing American citizens can arise, so be it.

This should be interesting
So when these RINOs lose those elections, are they going to appologize for not sticking with their base? Are they going to admit being wrong by voting Via internal polls and voting Via special interest groups? Are they going to tell the next GOP candidates that they had better stick with their values and principles rather than cater to the loud minority?

No... Which is why we will continue to lose.

No need to reach across the aisle
It's all one team now. Kind of like Mexico. We don't need more than one party. This country is now united. We agree on everything. We just don't have any disagreements anymore so we really should take advantage of the economies of scale that come with having only one party. Our leaders are trying to set a good example for us on how to get along.

Like we used to say back at the fraternity: R-r-r-r-ra-a-a-a-l-l-ph O'Ro-o-o-o-a-a-a-a-r-k!
Pasadena Phil writes: Tuesday, July, 22, 2008 11:09 AM
So why are we so afraid of Obama?
If we're not fighting liberals, what's the point? We're ALL mavericks now. The only difference between Democrats and Republicans is that Republicans have this creepy affectation of holding their noses when they vote. I suppose it's like pointing your pinkie out when sipping tea.
ScarletPimpernel writes: Tuesday, July, 22, 2008 11:22 AM
this is why they're the Stupid Party
they lose to conservatives:
from malkin on June 25:
"Well, what will the WSJ and company say about what happened today to one of their favorite shamnesty/DREAM Act shills, GOP Rep. Chris Cannon? The six-term incumbent went down in flames in the Utah primary, defeated by Republican Jason Chaffetz–an underfunded political newcomer who made opposition to illegal immigration, rejection of amnesty, and support for tough deportation policies a top campaign issue. Cannon outspent Chaffetz 7-to-1 and had the entire GOP establishment from the White House on down backing him."
