There is also evidence that McCain received "special" medical treatment from a Soviet physician.
After he was out of the hospital, McCain continued cooperating with the North Vietnamese for a period of three years. He made radio broadcasts for the communists and met with foreign delegations, including the Cubans. He was interviewed by at least two North Vietnamese generals one of whom was Vietnam's national hero, General Vo Nguyen Giap.
On June 4, 1969, a U.S. wire service story headlined "PW Songbird Is Pilot Son of Admiral," reported one of McCain's radio broadcasts: "Hanoi has aired a broadcast in which the pilot son of the United States commander in the Pacific, Adm. John McCain, purportedly admits to having bombed civilian targets in North Vietnam and praises medical treatment he has received since being taken prisoner.
"The broadcast was beamed to American servicemen in South Vietnam as a part of a propaganda series attempting to counter charges by U.S. Defense Secretary Melvin Laird that American prisoners are being mistreated in North Vietnam."
McCain says he violated the Code of Conduct only when the North Vietnamese brutally tortured him. He further claims that he was so distraught afterwards that he tried to commit suicide. He has never explained why his "aid to the enemy" continued for more than three years.
Even though there are no reports in the public record from other POWs who witnessed McCain's claims of torture and heroics or his attempted suicide, the American media has accepted his version of events word for word, no questions asked.

Two years later, on Oct. 26, 1967, the admiral's son while flying his 23rd mission over North Vietnam, once again fell from the sky, this time landing in the hands of a brutal enemy. He was beaten and bayoneted. His shoulder was smashed and his right calf was nearly perpendicular to his knee.
The severely wounded McCain was finally thrown on the back of a truck and hauled to the infamous Hanoi Hilton prison camp. Immediately, his captors began to interrogate him using sadistic methods they had perfected on hundreds of captured U.S. servicemen before him.
His interrogators demanded military information. When he refused, his guards kicked and pounded him mercilessly.
McCain admits that three to four days after he was captured, he promised the Vietnamese, "I'll give you military information if you will take me to the hospital."
McCain also admits that the Vietnamese rushed him to a hospital, but denies he was given "special medical treatment" because of his promise.
He claims he was given medical care normally unavailable to captured Americans only because the Vietnamese learned he was the son of Admiral John S. McCain, Jr., the soon-to-be commander of all U.S. forces in the Pacific including those fighting in Vietnam.
The Vietnamese figured that because POW McCain's father was of such high military rank that he was of royalty or the governing circle in the United States. Thereafter the communist bragged that they had captured "the crown prince"and treated him as a "special prisoner."
Less than two weeks after McCain was taken to a hospital, Hanoi's press began quoting him giving specific military information, including the name of the aircraft carrier on which he was based, numbers of U.S. pilots that had been lost, the number of aircraft in his flight, information about location of rescue ships and the order of which his attack was supposed to take place.

Coming soon near you, under a president Obama - sheria law is an acceptable form of arbitration. He will use the religious freedoms expressed in the constitution to argue - muslims living in the USSA have a right to 'practice' their religion when solving issues impacting their lives. Furthermore, the ACLU and a Pelosi/Reed led congress will support that move and BHO will sign it into law before any public schooled americans can fathom that jihad is now protected under the bill. Electing Obama is the beginning of the end of this country in every way. Our enemies will have a friend in the whitehouse. Make no mistake about it - Obama does not believe in islam extremism because he believes it is caused by 'whitey'. While he empathizes with them, he will be destroying our missile capability in the name of 'saving money and using it for other more important programs' like Global Act of Poverty. Whereby he taxes americans, gives the UN the money for redistribution to africa and middle east (the really poor and needy people). By the time he is done with redistribution globally, america will be receiving aid from the UN, and having it's military men and women tried in international court under the direction of President Obama. The american public education system has finally brought us a generation of americans who do not understand our freedoms or how to keep them. We do need Obama - for reasons that are too intricate to count or explain. The good thing is that 'the man' will no longer be the white guy and 'the system' that failed minorities' and it will, will no longer be a 'white system'. Finally, all people who count on government to support them will learn that working hard can't be replaced by socialism because even under socialism - the rich still survive better than the the so called 'middle class'. Can't you see that both Republicans and Democrats want to avoid the real issues now because they're BOTH responsible for the financial situation that this country (and now most of the free world) now suffers.
A trillion dollar bailout package. Think about that. 1 TRILLION dollars. Both Republicans and Democrats supported this. Bush pushed it. Obama and McCain voted for it.
Think about how much the government will now control. Think about that. We're arguing with each other about Ayers, angry rallies, lipsticks, pigs, and muslims who might have an Obama sticker on their walls...

And eventually, if you want to find a solution in Lebanon, Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank, it will involve talking to some very unsavory people, as those people (for whatever reason) were supported and elected by a majority of the local populace.
We've dealt with and bought off plenty of dirty characters in the world before, including former terrorists in Iraq who joined our cause as a result, so I'm not sure exactly why you would object except that it's a Democrat doing it. |

So let me get this strait... One of Obama's non-critical advisers once had a meeting with a person who once appeared at a rally with Hezbollah and Hamas. I count 3 degrees of separation between Obama and Hamas/Hezbolah, we should just lock him up and throw away the key. To boot, two of these degrees were not even close relationships, they were people being in the same room at the same time. It's easier to navigate a family tree connection between Obama and Cheney than it is to explain the significance of this story. Conservative bloggers should try and focus on pertinent information. |
