Obama's "Fight The Smears" Website Smears Conservatives

Let's fight the Obama smears, right here.
With all the talk about Obama's new website, Fight The Smears, it should be noted that Roger Stone did not start the "whitey" rumor, nor did Rush Limbaugh. Stone also never said a tape exists (despite what Obama's site says)
... In fact, it was started by a liberal blogger -- and Hillary supporter (and donor) --named Larry Johnson. If you doubt he's a liberal blogger, note that is (or was) a frequent blogger at The Huffington Post.
Johnson is the one who started the rumor (which may, or may not, be true). Others, like Roger Stone -- Rush Limbaugh -- heck, even me -- merely reported that there was a rumor out there. This, of course, is different from starting -- or even endorsing -- the rumor.
(And I might also note that conservatives were also quick to inform folks when the rumor was starting to look bogus.)
Again, this is an example of Obama blowing it. The idea of a rapid response website that sets the record straight is a very, very good idea. But Obama got greedy. It wasn't enough to say the "whitey" rumor was bogus. He had to pretend it was our idea. And so his website is just the latest example of how Obama is playing politics. It's the game. They smear us, we smear them. That's politics as usual.
If Obama were smart, he would actually be a "new brand of politician." Frankly, I'm not sure what we would do if he were actually legit. What would I write today? Probably that Obama is smart. Lucky for us, he's just a politician playing politics. And he's worse than most politicians who actually admit to being politicians, I might add. He's really a poseur on the change issue.
I also find it interesting that Bob Beckel's comments weren't included in Obama's new website ...

"What you won't hear from this campaign or this party is the kind of politics that uses religion as a wedge," says Mr. Obama, while denouncing statements of him being a Muslim as a smear. Why is the presidential candidate who claims to be religiously inclusive is treating the word "Muslim" as an insult? Apparently, it is OK for Mr. Obama to be associated with terrorists like William Ayers or racists like Jeremiah Wright, but God forbid somebody would call him a Muslim! No, he won't stand for that kind of smear! We admit that most terrorists are Muslims, but most Muslims are not terrorists and the statement on Mr. Obama's website is insulting to hundreds of millions of people.
How could a man who discards his family heritage in favor of political expediency be even considered for presidency of the United States? Where are all the so-called "Islamic civil rights groups" like CAIR, MPAC, ISNA, MAS, etc. who are quick to defend every Islamic terrorist, but are silent when Muslims in general are being denigrated? Would Mr. Obama have the same reaction if someone claimed that he was raised as a Jew? We sincerely doubt that.
Muslims Against Sharia demand immediate removal of "SMEAR: Barack Obama is a Muslim" statement from the official Barack Obama's website as well as an apology for giving the word "Muslim" a negative connotation.

'Anyone who would vote for an ex-cocaine addict with a burnt out mind who has no clue as to what it takes to make this wheel turn that we call America, has no business stepping into a voting booth and electing such a loser to be in the White House and represent this great country.'
I agree, this is why George W. Bush with his long history of cocaine abuse should have never been elected to the Presidency.

It doesn't matter who started the rumor, it's who perpetuates it that is the issue. Every four years Republicans get their minions to start or perpetuate unfounded rumors and lies about the Democratic opponent. What is Obama supposed to do, roll over and take it? No, he knows that you can't let the howling harpies of the Right be the only voice out there and he is doing something proactive about it. I find it amazing that a bunch of lying conservatives think that everybody else is lying, too. This just shows how out of touch they really are. |

The Obama web site is another attempt to downplay the truth. I vote for this website as more legitimate!

I checked Gibama's anti-Smears site and I must say that it is crappy - if they think that using all that pale, light blue's going to make people vote Dem this fall, Wow! that's mighty subliminal, but it won't work. The look is of a detergent ad or of a baby diapers coupon - content-wise, totally unelectrifying. |

Anyone who would vote for an ex-cocaine addict with a burnt out mind who has no clue as to what it takes to make this wheel turn that we call America, has no business stepping into a voting booth and electing such a loser to be in the White House and represent this great country.
Obama does not know how to lube the wheel much less repair a broken cog so the wheel will turn smoothly for the American people.
Admitted ex-drug addicts have no business representing the American people.
If you are a loser drug addict, our children deserve better than that when researching our President’s backgrounds.

Expect nothing less from him or his campaign. |

Keep on talking...when you have to pay a considerable amount of your income on taxes if Obama gets into office...we shall see if you are crying then.....get a clue now or later.... |

As usual Kimberly your A.D.D. is causing you great difficulty in focusing...
1) The RUMOR was created and pushed by liberal blogger Larry Johnson @ No Quarter.
2) Democrat Strategist, Bob Beckel, brought it up (without prodding) on Fox News about the "impending" political bombshell.
3) Conservative radio personalities have reported "there is a rumor". Never saying "I have seen it"... or "I know it's true".
How about you spend a few minutes on researching the truth, babycakes? Perhaps after you learn (GASP!) democrats spread false information about their own party rivals - you can then have an intelligent discussion about current political matters.
However, honestly, I sincerely doubt you have the internal fortitude nor the intellectual honesty to be interested in popping the political bubble in which you live - "Blame Republicans - Bash Bush" world. |

Now that Obama has a new anti-smear website claiming that he was not a "practicing Muslim";
He has provided the opening needed by columnists, bloggers, talk show hosts, etc., to justify going over the parsing (" practicing Muslim ") of his words, and to research and report on whether he was a Muslim in his formative years.
Jos. Goebbels once said, "Give me the child's first five years and he's mine as a man"
School records, etc., indicate Obama's first five years was as a Muslim

Another RACISTS stunt started by the Obama campaign. They will try anything. Feel sorry for Obama if you don't vote for Obama you are a racist. When the only racists if the dem campaign. |

The 2004 video linked below has recently resurfaced in which Obama makes the case he would not be qualified to run for a national ticket in 2008.
"I'm a believer in knowing what you're doing when you apply for a job, and I think that if I were seriously to consider running on a national ticket I would essentially have to start now before having served a day in the senate. Now there are some people who might be comfortable doing that but I'm not one of those people."

Saying that one "merely" reported that there was a rumour sounds like a weak excuse -- like saying, well I did not start the gossip, I "merely" repeated it. But why did you repeat it? By doing that, you facilitate the original malicious person who started the gossip -- I think that makes you responsible as well. In fact, the word "merely" is usually a tip off to the weak point in any argument, and that seems to be the case here as well. |

Obama isn't a Christian - he's a Muslim
Tape of Michelle blaming whitey
Now WHY, Kimberly, do you EVEN think such statements would have any consideration???
The UGLY truth is - Michelle and Barack have closely aligned themselves with race-baiting bigots, US Terrorists, made questionable statements, and put themselves in the political neighborhood where such rumors develop legs.
Which is easier to believe:
1) Michelle blamed "whitey" in a church meeting.
OR
2) Bill Clinton remained faithful to his marriage during Hillary's campaign.
If you lay with dogs, rumors of you having fleas are much easier to believe.

What Obama wants is a Marxist govt. where the people don't have a choice. The govt. will control the country including appointed nutty, liberal judges that will totally ignore the votes of the people and make their own rulings. Obama is a selfish, self serving "actor" that doesn't have a clue as to the real important issues that are vital to this country. And Kimberly ( one of his Obamabots ) cling to the "Messiah's" every word, without really researching the facts. Oh...and these facts...aren't helping Michelle's children either.... |
|
Will Obama's truth-squad also address Obama's smears against McCain (100 yr Iraq War, etc)?
No, didn't think so. |
|
|
just like he did in the primary, taking advantage of every opportunity to paint Hillary as mean and racist. Just as I suspected, he is carrying on the same attitude in the general. An attack on him is considered unfair and he will allow his supporters to twist much of the criticism into what they will call a racist act. It's how they plan to make their guy "untouchable." No one is allowed to question St. Barack. |

"rumor" too?
Democrat's Latest Dead Voter Drive Involves Radical Muslim Group
Louisiana officials are being inundated with bogus voter registrations.
Surprisingly, the group behind the effort is a radical Muslim group. Not surprisingly, the group behind the effort was hired by Democrats.
Democrats hired the controversial Muslim American Society to sign up new voters in Louisiana. The MAS was founded in 1992 for the purpose of promoting "Islam as a total way of life" in America. The group has stated that American foreign policy is to blame for the 9/11 attacks http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2008/06/dems-hire-radical -muslim-group-in.html

WashingtonTimes has Obama's number:
Obama supporters know he can't win if his real political views become widely known, and they are taking pre-emptive steps to bat down that perception. Blogger John Henke writing at TheNextRight.com noted earlier in the week that one tactic among liberal bloggers will be to pre-emptively deligitimize criticisms of Obama as "racist."
And Americans should care about his ideology. Teamed up with a Democratic Congress, an Obama administration could usher in the most liberal, special-interest dominated period in American history. Power will shift to Washington as labor lobbyists, trial lawyers and environmental activists will have a heyday pulling all the levers of power http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/06/obamas_ch ange_what_when_how.html

BELIEVE Obama is going to tell the truth? How will he flip flop on all those things when something comes up to prove otherwise? Is Obama really going to claim he never attended a mosque with his stepfather? I find it extremely strange that he would fight "rumors" on the internet.
Be very leary of how he "words" his protestations.
|
|
You are correct. It is the Conservatives who pointed out that this rumor -- started by a LIBERAL -- was just a rumor.
The phoney "Fight the Smears" is just an effort to make Republicans look mean.
Obama is throwing truth under the bus.
Conservative media MUST defend itself vigorously on this, because if you allow a lie to be repeated often enough... |
