Hillary Camp Circulates Picture of Obama in Somali Dress

Yowza, next, they'll be forwarding those "Obama-is-a-Muslim" e-mails as campaign lit.
With a week to go until the Texas and Ohio primaries, stressed Clinton staffers circulated a photo over the weekend of a "dressed" Barack Obama.
The photo, taken in 2006, shows the Democrat frontrunner fitted as a Somali Elder, during his visit to Wajir, a rural area in northeastern Kenya.
The senator was on a five-country tour of Africa.
"Wouldn't we be seeing this on the cover of every magazine if it were HRC?" questioned one campaign staffer, in an email obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT. When the going gets tough, the tough get really lame, it would seem. This is just the pre-Iowa mini-meltdown writ large.
Hillary's people are spinning so fast, I'm several seconds from a post-Gravitron-style meltdown of my own the likes of which has not been seen since the North Carolina State Fair circa 1988.
“Enough. “If Barack Obama's campaign wants to suggest that a photo of him wearing traditional Somali clothing is divisive, they should be ashamed. Hillary Clinton has worn the traditional clothing of countries she has visited and had those photos published widely. “This is nothing more than an obvious and transparent attempt to distract from the serious issues confronting our country today and to attempt to create the very divisions they claim to decry. “We will not be distracted.” Huh? Is that meant to suggest that Obama's folks are actually circulating the photo in order to make Hillary's folks look desperate and nasty? Or, is this just another iteration of Bob Kerrey's ill-advised talking point: "Hey, you know, I think it could really be a boon in the Muslim world that his name is Barack Hussein Obama, and that he spent some time in a madrassa."
"Hey, if you're ashamed of this photo of you in traditional Somali dress, shame on you! Why shouldn't we circulate it?"
Maybe this portends a more interesting night at the possible Ohio debate than at that Texas snoozer. She's got to go after him, but not like this. It's about his qualifications.
Update: The Obama response:
Plouffe said in a statement: “On the very day that Senator Clinton is giving a speech about restoring respect for America in the world, her campaign has engaged in the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering we’ve seen from either party in this election. This is part of a disturbing pattern that led her county chairs to resign in Iowa, her campaign chairman to resign in New Hampshire, and it’s exactly the kind of divisive politics that turns away Americans of all parties and diminishes respect for America in the world," said Plouffe.

We think this is cute too.....trust me....! ;-) |

Aww, Gravitron reference. I knew I liked you. :o)
This story is cracking me up, for some reason, even though I know I should be appalled. The reverse psychology is just crazy. |

I clearly remember Shirley Temple, whose professional background as a child movie star did in no way equip her to be United Nations Ambassador to Ghana, a position to which she was appointed by Republican President Gerald Ford, dressed in a Ghanaian costume while she did African dances with Ghanaian women. Republicans thought that was cute. |

...hardball. The story about Shrillary's cross of a 12-year old girl in a rape case is coming out too. I wouldn't be too surprised to see the 35 year old picture of Bill and Hill either: he with long hair and a beard; she the flower child looking as if they've just come from a bong party... Both candidates will be portrayed as the least presidential person on the planet....which, ironically, is true in both cases. All this and Ralph Nader too! To blatantly steal from McDonald's.....I'm lovin' it! |

...I'd guess that the photo HELPS Obama win the Democrat primary. "Oh, isn't it great that he can see things from a Third World perspective." It doesn't hurt him. I'd contend that it's the perfect time for Obama to get the picture out, when it helps him most and hurts him least. And the gravy is, he can blame the Clintons for it. |

No forced, uncomfortable hand shakes or hugs at the Ohio debates?
I must admit, I feel a certain admiration for Clinton's chutzpah:
Clinton: "Hey, everyone, look, here's Obama dressed like one of those scary African Muslim jihadist types in Somalia!"
Obama: "Stop trying to scare people with such obvious BS."
Clinton: "Oh, it's just a picture of you in a native outfit. How could you possibly be offended by that or think we meant to scare people unless you think those people are scary in which case you're an evil racist."

I am independent of both candidates ideology. Senator Clinton wants to do more for Americans and illegal aliens who are uninsured and uneducated using our hard earned taxes and she will retreat and surrender to Al Qaeda and Jihadists round the world.
Senator Obama sponsored the "Global Poverty Act"-S.2433-to feed, clothe, shelter, educate, medicate and arm Third World countries.
Most of the countries are determined to bring deadly harm to Americans round the world with $845 billion of our hard earned tax dollars going to the UN at $65 billion more than the U.S. is giving per year. S.2433 is very scary. |
