The Palin Buzz
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 3:01 PM
I brought back lots of campaign pins. but they've got a plane ...

ALT TEXT

Is it just me, or am I noticing more ladies sporting the Palin 'do'?  This could catch on like that Jennifer Aniston hairdo from the 90s...

The glasses may say Tina Fey, but the hair screams Katharine Hepburn Audrey Hepburn...  (Sorry, for confusing the ladies -- it's been a long week ...)

Ummm...
that's Audrey Hepburn.

It's .....
...just you.

Seriously, you're starting to worry me......

BTW, nice picture of Fred Astaire....!

Being Barack: Never making a mistake
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TG4fe9GlWS8 An Iraqi War Veteran responds to Sen. Obama (nice).

The Anchoress has a nice collection of great nuggests like the one above today. Enjoy: http://theanchoressonline.com/2008/09/05/reactions-media-e rrors-and-more/

It taking spending a lot of time in Berkley and Cambridge to be able to admit the surge worked, but the right decision would have been not to do it anyway. What a boneheaded response by Barack. He should have admitted the surge worked and thanked John McCain for promoting it (admitting Barack's own mistake). That would have made Barack look: classy, honest and human. But being Barack Obama means never having to say you are sorry or admit a mistake!

Wrong!
You right-wingers really nothing but a collection of cultural idiots: that's AUDREY Hepburn.

The only living culture you people have is in your yogurt.

Best Movie President Ever: The Poll

An interesting Armchair Commentary poll.

Personally I would have to go with fictional presidents such as Kevin Kline's "Dave" or Peter Sellers' "Being There." Because when you get into it, the narrative about Barack Obama being ready to lead is fictional too.

But hey, I am sure you have your favorites.

My Pet Goat
Give Matt Lewis a break, he confused Audrey Hepburn with Katherine Hepburn, but both of them were class acts.

And if you note, both Oregon Elephant and I caught it before you did. Go back to your container of Dannons now.

Kudos Matt
for getting it at least half right. There are tons of people who wouldn't even get that far. Audrey is a cinematic idol of mine and she was one classy lady. While Palin's hairdo may resemble Audrey's her personality does not. Palin has the feistiness and good humor of Katherine. See, you were on the right track after all.

Aw, Hazel
John McCain is a hero and the next president, not a regular guy. I read the same wild estimates for the outfits worn on Monday by Laura Bush and Cindy McCain. So what? Michelle Obama wears her fur coat and $500 Jimmy Choos, and she jokes that the $600 tax rebate would only buy a pair of earrings.

So how many soft-porn movies have you been watching?

I saw that talking point this morning.....

Don't you hate it when we know what you're going to say before you do....? It makes you look so....stupid.

BTW, the lion's share of that $300k was in jewelry.

Have a nice day....

With a name like "My Pet Goat".....
....how can you be a liberal???? I loved Audrey Hepburn: yes her hair-dp vs. Sarah Palin's hair- dooooo is similar.

I love goats. Since I am a Pennsylvania heartlander (a quintessential, bitter clinger), of course, goats intersperse the agricultural units throughout my locale. I have inspected goat farms!!!!!! The only problem that seems prevalent w/the adorable goat is: THEY REALLY SMELL!!!!

I Like the Up do
It's just not Sarah with the hair down. I hope she keeps the Up-do. Definatley makes her look more professional anyway.

Karen Walker
Sarah POalin looks like Karen Walker from Will and Grace -you know, that massively popular gay propaganda show that ran for a successful 8 seasons.

She talks like her too.
Angel writes: Friday, September, 05, 2008 8:38 PM
Or ...
I heard Curtis Sliwa comment that Sarah Palin and Mariska Hargitay look alike. I see the resemblance too.
londongrl writes: Friday, September, 05, 2008 9:07 PM
Cindy
I don't have a problem with Cindy spending that much on an outfit and frankly it's none of our business. Her family made their money through tenacity and hard work. I'm disappointed in my liberal cohorts that profess to believe in the American dream for everyone but then knock someone down when they get there. Aren't the patriarchs of the Democratic party a wealthy Massachusetts family with several homes?
And at least Cindy has spent her life in the pursuit of helping others, as she explained last night. Do you know that she was in Rwanda in 1994 near the time of the genocide? Where was Michelle Obama? What has Michelle ever done that comes close to the altruism that Cindy has displayed? She could have sat back and enjoyed her money and never lifted a finger to help anyone, but she didn't.
And I wonder how many of my liberal animal rights friends know that Michelle wears fur? That's interesting.
