from the AFP yesterday:
"The United States is mired in a "once-in-a century" financial crisis which is now more than likely to spark a recession, former Federal Reserve chief Alan Greenspan said Sunday.
The talismanic ex-central banker said that the crisis was the worst he had seen in his career, still had a long way to go and would continue to effect home prices in the United States.
"First of all, let's recognize that this is a once-in-a-half-century, probably once-in-a-century type of event," Greenspan said on ABC's "This Week."
Asked whether the crisis, which has seen the US government step in to bail out mortgage giants Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, was the worst of his career, Greenspan replied "Oh, by far."
"There's no question that this is in the process of outstripping anything I've seen, and it still is not resolved and it still has a way to go," Greenspan said.
"And indeed, it will continue to be a corrosive force until the price of homes in the United States stabilizes." _____________________________
Now whose assessment am I supposed to accept, your cheery, partisan one or Greenspan's sober one? You'll have to excuse me for going with the latter.
And Repubs such as Juan "Keating" Mequeno are largely to blame for it all.

I am passing on a post by Joe on another area of Townhall. This is important that again George Bush the WBOD (whipping boy of the decade)is not responsible for the current financial difficulties but actually My Boy Lollipop" was the obstacle to preventing the current economic difficulties. Check out the link!
Joe Writes Dems responsible for Fannie & Freddie Rep. Barney Frank (Democrat) five years ago in response to President Bush's proposal to provide greater regulation to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac:
These two entities—Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac—are not facing any kind of financial crisis," said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. "The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.

I feel very badly for the people that have been caught in this housing mess. I can relate as my wife I bought a house in Round Rock, TX in 1984-1985. The realtors were saying exactly the same thing that if we didn’t buy today it would cost more tomorrow. We took bait and bought as much house as we could afford at around $100 bones. Everyone that could build a house for speculation did and then TEFRA’s effect was felt. Neighbors on all sides mailed their keys to their mortgage holder. We eventually sold in 1990 and netted $56,000.
The heavy handed government forcing the financial people to make bad loans lending money to people who were not credit worthy is what is partially at the root of the problem with the financials. Another large part is the desire for housing speculation the “flip this house” type mentality. Fortunately, it is not nationwide as it appears to have hit California, Florida, and Las Vegas exceptional hard. The market took a beating with the Lehman Brothers, ML, and AIG news down about 4 ½% about a fifth of the 1987 crash. It is important to keep this all in perspective. The worm will definitely turn. The last thing we need to do is implement a Marxist economic philosophy.
I would love to see Mitt take over this Fannie/Freddie mess. He has a track record of turning these types of things around and could help his bonafides should he decide on future political runs. What we don’t need is more lawyers creating more laws 228 in Congress currently.

Cool it with the Chicken Little routine and take a deep breath. The economy is fine, a little bump here, a little dip there, but it's quite sound.
The numbers are the facts. 3.3% economic growth last quarter. I know you like to cry wolf, but your hysteria does not an economic downturn make.
Here's some reading material for you.

SPOT on!
From John Judis today. What he would tell Obama:
"What do I know, but here's what I would do if I were you. I would call a press conference tomorrow to discuss the financial crisis. Do it in New York City. Even better, on Wall Street. Begin with a fifteen minute statement outlining why the crisis has occured and what, generally, the government should do about it. Contrast your approach sharply with that of McCain and the Republicans. Take questions for an hour from reporters. Finally, issue a challenge to McCain to debate the issue by week's end. And offer to allow McCain to bring Sarah Palin and Phil Gramm at his side if he needs them to advise him on the issues."
The economy is approaching FUBAR proportions. And it's all happened on the Republican watch. There's capital there for Obama (no pun intended) if hw wants it.
Not that I believe he has the fix, mind you. Liberals and pseudoconservatives are simply two sides of the same worthless coin, if you'll excuse that pun too.
A word of advice for all: open your American history books and read with new eyes, and plant a vegetable garden. |
|
We finally understand what Republicans are for--anything a Republican candidate says this week.
Can you imagine what the Townhallers on this site would be saying if McCain's speech today (Enough corporate greed! Enough!) were Obama's?
Oh, wait a minute--it is.
U!S!A!

on probably the worse economic downturn in decades, you say we're doing "just fine". It's not often that I resort to just plain 'ol name calling, but dam, boy, you are DUMB! |
|
"BTW, the economy grew at 3.3 percent last quarter. We're doing just fine, thankyouverymuch."
Turn off the radio and do some reading for a change instead of parroting talking points. Simply because Rush says "if we don't talk about it, it isn't important" doesn't make it so.
Some of us have known about this mess for the last two years and now the chickens have truly come home to roost. |
|
Was worse than anything this housing market has thrown up yet. Gazillions of dollars and he couldn't even defeat a hillbilly from Arkansas.
No-op!
BTW, the economy grew at 3.3 percent last quarter. We're doing just fine, thankyouverymuch.

"Romney's Not an Economist ...but I believe he's the only one with any hope of understanding the labyrinth"
But I'm not sure that will help. McCain talked about "fundamentals", of which he has no clue, and even less of a clue about derivatives, hedges and swaps. Romney, like Paulson, knows how the watch works and not just how to tell time. Unfortunately, McCain has folks who can't even read an analog watch. I'm just too conservative, and thought that securitization was too risky more than 15 years ago in the unsecured debt market. Silly me.
This crap is what it is...crap. We are not making anything of value, only chances to buy tickets to entertainment events...ephemeral garbage. Risk has overtaken common sense, and there will be a huge backlash coming. Yup, lots more regulation will be very popular again.

While Senator McCain has never requested a single earmark, Senator Obama has requested nearly a billion dollars worth during his short time in office. Though Senator Biden has been in the Senate for 36 years, he has only disclosed his earmarks for one year.
Senator Obama has also attacked Governor Palin over the “Bridge to Nowhere,” despite the fact that he actually voted for the bridge, and his own party in Alaska credited her for ending the project.
Kindergarten Sex Ed: The fact is that this legislation stated expressly that children in grades kindergarten through 12 were to be taught about sexually transmitted diseases. If Senator Obama believes that it is not appropriate to teach kindergarteners about sexually transmitted diseases, he should have joined with the minority who voted against the bill. Instead, he supported it.

Yeah, I know he isn't an economist. I think you're right. He probably does understand these crooks.
I wonder what he would say about Jim Nussle of the OMB stating that Freddy and Fannie are going to be considered off budget items?
WaMu will probably be the next domino to fall.

Nah, it's not lost. It's in places like the Cayman Islands.
McCain can always ask Bush to bomb Iran for him. Demagogues usually resort to this trick when confronted with domestic problems.
And there is always Diebold. ========
This will hurt McCain. By how much remains to be seen. There is still six weeks until the election and a lot can happen. |
|
...but I believe he's the only one with any hope of understanding the labyrinth. These money guys are a savvy, scheming bunch. It's in their DNA. A bunch of foxes guarding the hen houses.
Interesting how Goldman Sachs is nearly the only one left standing.
Palin-lovers can party on, but I'd rather have a Harvard MBA with a gazillion years of business experience in there. Oh well. |

and wonderful. Tina Fey was adorable. Good Grief, I've been listening to Hugh expressing shock & awe tonight that such an outrage would happen. I do not get it. I LOVE Sarah Palin, have been pushing my support of her for VP at HH Threads for at least 2-months before the announcement, am married to a woman Energized by Sarah, etc...We BOTH luved the sketch.
Hugh played 3-audio sections of a Sarah speech in Colorado today. She's really hitting her speaking, campaigning stride. And, it was pure Tina Fey sounding mid-west accented, humor filled, optimistic delivery. Let's NOT get too darned self-serious, Hugh. Please. |

The entire activist Left has gone into code red and they are ready to explode!
Their rhetoric is getting so ugly & nasty, so mean spirited, so illogical, so emotional, so frantic, and so friggin' over the top that even the couch potatoes in their TV-induced comas must notice. |

just what we need after today, is socialists/marxists/communists to take over our free market economy. That model has worked so well, wherever it's been tried, maybe we could get pointers from your uncle Hugo, or maybe from your daddy, Fidel. Viva, Fidel, right jimmahb. |

He's definitely under the bus on this one. |

Chase, Whoopi Goldberg, scum photographer, Jill Greenberg, Olbernutter, and the rest of you leftists both here at HH, and all the rest, under the rocks that you inhabit, KNOW THIS, the gloves are off, and this time, we are going to the mat, in our defense of Sarah. You were successful in running off Gingrich and Livingston, successful in trashing Judge Bork, semi-successful in the high tech lynching of, Clarence Thomas. But you miscreants will NOT be successful in your latest attempt. This Born Again Christian woman, who talks and walks, pro-life, is wholesome, is unafraid, is more man than your "wimp", yet utterly feminine, and gorgeous, non elitist, and in your face, patriotic has got you scumbag leftists scared shyteless, hasn't she!!! You should be, because she's on you like white on rice and your so scared, you can't see straight. You could very well have to deal with her for the next 16 years. That prospect, does that feel like somethin' goin' up your leg, scumbags. All the metro-sexual democrat men are particularly scared, because she reminds them of their feminization, which has taken place over the last 45 years. Please, please continue to send out your stooges, like the above scumbags, and continue to make fun of her, but know this, that when you do, you are also making fun of all those women and men who closely identify with her, especially those of the heartland, who you, have total disdain for and hate. And, oh yeah, please, please keep up that air of superiority that you are so noted for, too. See ya' Nov. 5th, MISCREANTS. |

He could be, but then again, while "liberals and democrats" believe that money grows on trees (neo)"conservatives and republicans" know better.
They know that money is created via a federal reserve printing press. |

"Two words characterize the con game of conservatives: cheap labor."
I know that I am a sample of one, but my compensation has gone down 200% since 2001. And most large American companies are demanding cheap, trying to save their way into prosperity and bonuses for the leadership. It's a race to the bottom right now, and we'll soon find out where the basement is and what's in it.
But I'm fortunate to still have a job, albeit with a company with HQ in India. If you are motivated by super IT projects, willing to learn new technology on your own, work 16-18 hours/day 6-7 days/week, there are jobs out there. Back to basics and to hell with the "ownership society" and "small personal accounts". |
|
|
I think McCain's under the bus on this one. |
|
As best as I can tell it was done at the behest of certain banking firms that wanted to branch out and I bet that campaign contributions played a big role in this as well.
http://www.truckingboards.com/trucking/upload/politics/3979 7-mccain-guru-linked-subprime-crisis.html
Pasadena Phil would be the person to ask about this, I believe.
Romney would have been my second choice after Paul. I'm not sure of how well Romney's grasp of monetary policy is. Still, unlike McCain who knows nothing nothing about economics, Romney does understand business.
No matter which one of these idiots running wins we're still in one hell of a mess. |

What a winning team. Positive and forward approach.

Bad for the nation but good for Tina Fey.
|
|
Briggsy writes:
"Nevertheless, Tina Fey's impression was spot on!"
..so then she should be very popular for those of you in the left-wing echo chamber for the next twelse years of the McCain/Palin and Palin/Sgteele administrations. |
|
Strong military, strong families, strong economy.
But if the economy doesn't generate wealth, families and the military are screwed. Hello.
Why did they repeal Glass-Steagall? Campaign contributions? |
|
It's the same here in Georgia. Both parties are involved in this and must bear responsibility. I wouldn't bail out a damn one of them. Let them eat their losses. Instead, we have another example of "bi-partisanship" that could cost the nation trillions. If we did have an "accountability moment" it would result in not only charges being preferred against those who lied about their net worth, but also those who loaned the money for a quick profit, the Congress for setting up the mess by repealing laws like Glass-Steagall, and of course, Bush himself, as the quote above shows that he was more interesting in bragging points about how many "new home owners" were created under his administration. Never mind that that was misleading, as it is some else that owns the home until the buyer owns the deed itself. At the end nothing will be done save throwing more money at the problem to bail out the greed heads on Wall Street.
If the US survives this one day historians will write that it was under the Bush-Clinton years that the US ceased to be the #1 world power and declined to that of a regional. |

Lets face it Hollywood and the elitist have more Talent then Brains! What they need is a dose of Reality, instead of their 'fantasy' mindset and flicks that make then rich, ha! The best lesson they could learn is to let Obama, win by Default, (thats the only way he can win) and let them try to survive his scary, deluded 'learn on the job' leadership! Problem is the rest of us deserve better! Ha! Ex Democrat |

what JamesB has been drinking today? Sounds like it has quite the kick. |
|
The problem is the pox ends up on the heads of the hard-working, tax-paying demi-slaves.
McPalin can spout all they want about a maverick clean-up. Lots of luck with that one. The crap (as you so elegantly put it) is baked in the cake.
People all around us here in SoCal who "bought" houses at top $$ they could not afford. And why were the homes so high? The low interest rates that people feared with go up momentarily.
The feeding frenzy was insane. Prices were going up daily. You betteh buy a house on Tuesday at whatever price, because it was going to be more on Thursday.
Now Bush's homeowners are all on the street. One family saw their equity to up, re-financed at low interest rates, spent all the cash on an expensive boat and Sea-Do's, couldn't make the payments, had to move out and rent. They put several thousand into first and last month's rent. However, when they went to move in, the found the people they paid the money to didn't actually own the house.
You treat people like children and they are going to act like children. Down with the nanny state whether it's Clinton's or Bush's or Obama's.

I'm with Wile E Coyote, Fey did a great job and Hillary definitely took the brunt of the satire. Fey's voguing while the Hillary character ranted was priceless.
And Fey looked very hot. This can only help Palin. http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/clips/palin-hi llary-open/656281/
Fey was so convincing as Palin, that I'm contemplating a Moon Over Parador scenario where Palin goes back to Alaska to take care of her family and Fey joins McCain on the campaign trail. :-)

"The goal is, everybody who wants to own a home has got a shot at doing so. The problem is we have what we call a homeownership gap in America. Three-quarters of Anglos own their homes, and yet less than 50 percent of African Americans and Hispanics own homes. That ownership gap signals that something might be wrong in the land of plenty. And we need to do something about it.
We are here in Washington, D.C. to address problems. So I've set this goal for the country. We want 5.5 million more homeowners by 2010 -- million more minority homeowners by 2010. (Applause.) Five-and-a-half million families by 2010 will own a home. That is our goal. It is a realistic goal. But it's going to mean we're going to have to work hard to achieve the goal, all of us. And by all of us, I mean not only the federal government, but the private sector, as well."
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/06/20020618-1. html
Of course it should be noted that Clinton pushed this sort of crap as well. This financial mess is a bi-partisan creation and McCain was a part of it with his vote to repeal Glass-Steagall. |

Obama appears to be rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. With repect to teh Taheri article: Right On!
Obama appears to be in violation of the Logan Act which is a United States federal law that forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments. It was passed in 1799 and last amended in 1994. Violation of the Logan Act is a felony, punishable under federal law with imprisonment of up to three years.
Passed under the administration of President John Adams, during tension between the U.S. and France, it was informally named for DR. GEORGE LOGAN OF PENNSYLVANIA, A STATE LEGISLATOR (AND LATER US SENATOR) AND PACIFIST WHO IN 1798 ENGAGED IN SEMI-NEGOTIATIONS WITH FRANCE DURING THE QUASI WAR. Slow Joe said earlier today those that forget history are destined to repeat it…indeed!
He also said “Obama insisted that Congress should be involved in negotiations on the status of US troops - and that it was in the interests of both sides not to have an agreement negotiated by the Bush administration in its "state of weakness and political confusion." This is not congress’s purview and again violates the Logan Act.
|
|
..the Amir Taheri article. Americans will not like the sounds of it.
One of my sons works for arguably the top law firm in the US in the tax department doing M&A. All along he's claimed the economy is way more fragile that anybody's letting on. Pasadena Phil is a financial guy and believes the same thing.
Now's a good time to hunker down with your God, your gold and your guns. |

show that you really are a little out of your depth, sweetie. $18 Billion in earmarks? And I presume you think that's a lot of money, right? Lots of numbers and stuff, right? Check this out...we spend $10 billion in Iraq EVERY MONTH! Got that? Okay, go to the google and look up "federal budget", and you'll find much bigger numbers and stuff that will make you embarassed that you posted that little piece of idiocy. Thanks. |
|
|
When did the economy start to tank? Things have been booming except in states run by the Democrats. |
|
even more yummy Blue State news. New York is now in play. Baby Bammy has dropped from an 18 point lead to a 5-pt. lead! NEW YORK!!
Now, let's get slamming on the Amir Taheri NY Post article on what O'Bammy tried in Iraq, behind closed doors, in July. Shameful. |
|
Please don't forget that the Republicans controlled congress from 1994 until 2006. So it's a pretty lame argument that a Democratic majority (non filibuster proof as well) since 2006 has run the financial stewardship into the ground. Also, don't forget that Bush signed every one of those bills.
McCain's earmark "reform" is only drop in the bucket compared to the emergency supplemental appropriations to support the Iraq fiasco, $190 billion in 2008 alone. It's noise and a distraction from efforts to limit the influence of big industry in government (e.g., big Pharma and Medicaid Drug giveaway). The big gains are to come from shutting down the K street lobbyist network and the related influences on government programs. |
|
May I remind you that it is a Democratic House doing all the spending...Here are some fun facts:
In fiscal year 2005, there were 13,492 earmarks totaling $18,944,327,000 for appropriations accounts.
In fiscal year 2008, there were 11,524 earmarks totaling $16,501,833,000 for appropriations accounts.
For fiscal 2006, appropriators stuffed 9,963 projects into the 11 appropriations bills, a 29 percent decrease over 2007's total of 13,997. Despite the reduction in the number of earmarks, Congress porked out at record dollar levels with $29 billion in pork for 2006, or 6.2 percent more than last year’s total of $27.3 billion. In fact, the total cost of pork has increased by 29 percent since fiscal 2003. Total pork identified by CAGW since 1991 adds up to $241 billion.
For the fiscal year of 2006, Congress had $450,000 added by the House for plantings on the eastern front of the Capitol. This will allow members of Congress a chance to “stop and smell the roses” before they proceed with plunging the country deeper into debt.
Just a few examples of the wasteful spending that Pelosi allows to be spewed out each year.
|
|
I am a fiscally conservative Republican.
McCain's call for comprehensive regulation does not make sense.
Lehman (like Bear Stearns) was an entity whose senior executives held substantial equity in the firm. These executives made bad business decisions, and they and their shareholders have to pay the price.
Congress/regulators substituting through legislation/regulation their business judgment for the executives' won't result in better business judgments, or better economic performance.
PS -- I saw Tina Fey's SNL impression of Sarah Palin and found it very funny. (If anything, Hillary, got the worst of it). My guess is that Palin is a big-enough person to laugh at it herself -- all the way to the White House. |
|
wants to fund his social programs by reducing the Defense budget. His solution to our problems is to weaken us militarily. Everything about Barry O. is weak. He is a lightweight not to be trusted with our national security. He would rather lose a war than lose an election. He is the opposite of JSM. |

Cutting taxes and spending more gets you there (e.g., unbudgeted emergency supplementals and record deficits). Translates into weak dollar, high commodity prices (e.g., oil) and inflation. Helluva poor way to run a household, let alone a country.
By the way, what happened to McCain's proposed federal gas tax holiday? Oh, I know: "Drop in Miles Driven Is Depleting Highway Fund; Loan From Mass Transit Is Urged" (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/29/us/29transport.html) He's always coming new and refreshing economic ideas.

|
I have some doubts about Sarah Palin's experience. But I'm confident that McCain is not at death's door and she has time to get up to speed on the economy and foreign policy.
On the other hand, time and time again Obama proves he just doesn't understand the market driven economy. He needs a basic econ class... And to put aside his early indoctrination with Marxist economic theories.
Sarah/Fey=equals hilarious! I wasn't at all insulted. It highlighted that the Dems allowed the Obama crowd to cast out a competent woman canidate for an incompetent freshman senator. The only insulting thing was the dinosaur crack... that should be turned into a skit about how Dems don't get their own jokes and are willing to believe any stupid rumour out there.
Obama is the one who compares with Palin on lack of understanding and experience... So that is why the polls are heading towards McCain. |
|
|
McCain/Palin are TIED w/Obama in the lastest poll of Minnesota voters-- amazing. If the Dems lose MN as a blue state, well, then anything's possible! |
|
|
over 8 years...and you say that liberals like to spend? Get your facts straight, son. We liberals are about fiscal responsbility, unlike our "Borrow and Squander" Republican friends. Try to get economic talking points from areas other than Faux News and Rush Limpballs. |
|
Wrong again. You say McCain lowering taxes is bad? For big spending liberals, you are correct.
Obama's solution: raise taxes, raise spending, steal more money from hard working folks and give it away to lazy people living off the system.
You want socialism. Sorry, wrong country. You should move to Europe. This nation was founded on capitalism, and will stay that way.
Better luck in 2012 with Hillary.....
|
|
|
is now DOOMED! After being inundated with the "wonders of the free market" and being tarred as a socialist if one even hinted that some governmental oversight would be prudent, it's clear for all to see.....there is no "free market" and we just got b***h slapped by the "invisible hand". By extension, wingnuts in here should be in arms over statements by McFailin and Bush, promoting ever greater governmental intrusions into the market place...THEYRE COMMUNISTS by wingnut definition! This is where the rubber meets the road....you guys are going to get hit hard with this and you deserve it! |
|
|
All of us know that Obama and the DNCers will be crying for govt. bailouts, more taxes, redistribution of taxpayer's monies, more unfunded obligations so they can bribe voters to vote for them. Now, it is also true that most people in America do not understand all these economic issues and Obama thus will play the Class warfare card, again. It will be interesting to see how the public views our economy. Will it believe that the Dems will turn this mess around? If they get more for their lives at the cost of other people's money, they will vote Dem. |
|
I wouldn't consider his comments too serious when he he sees fit to juxtapose them with an editorial on an SNL skit.
This is not a winner for McCain-Bush. There were many foreseeable and foreseen reasons for the meltdown, not the least of which was the current administration's open hostility to regulating an investment banking industry hell bent on creating instant wealth from future vapors and an unsustainable ramp up of personal and national debt. The only difference between some of these creative leveraged financial "assets" and casino chips is that, if you have any of the latter left over at the end of the day, there is a window to trade them for cash. The markets are taking their toll with large markdowns, and unfortunately the price will be paid not only by players but small investors like me.
Also, take a look at who McCain's economic advisors are: ex-Bushie Doug Holtz-Eakin, Phil Gramm and Arther Laffer. They have had a role in creating what we are seeing. Contrast it with the other side (Furman, Volker, Buffet, Rogers) and ask who will have a more pragmatic perspective on helping fix the mess Bush helped create. |
|
Kwaayesnama,
I don't trust government with my social security. The system is already doomed without a massive overhaul. Nor do I trust Wall Street. I trust first in God's providence, and secondly in my responsibility to get wise counsel through research and advisors.
Your future $$ is your responsibility. Not Obama's, certainly not government's, not McCain's, not Wall street. YOURS. MINE. OURS.
|
|
"PRIVATIZE SOCIAL SECURITY – DO YOU TRUST WALL ST?"
Kwaayesnama,
Do you mean the totally unfunded account OUR GOVERNMENT has drained at the hands of previous congress's-----yeah, I trust those scoundrels just like I would trust the Chicago puppet strings holding Obama in an upright position. Social Security is a joke.
|
|
Just think John McCain’s long touted plan for social security is to privatize it. Using the same Wall Street companies that are going under. Do you trust your future to Wall Street! Do you trust your future to John McCain and the lobbyists that are advising him and running his campaign? Here is a list of all of his major campaign workers and the special interests they represent. http://mccainsource.com/corruption?id=0006
PRIVATIZE SOCIAL SECURITY – DO YOU TRUST WALL ST?

the NY lead for Obammy a month ago was 18 points (not 1 as I typed in previous comment) ... and now it's down to 5!
Could it be possible? New York going RED?!!! |
|
Sarah!
Ka-ching .. another million votes for McCain-Palin.
Of course, we all know how well the MSM's relentless mocking of Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush as empty-headed extreme rightwing neanderthalls worked in the elections of 1980, 1984, 2000, and 2004.
They never learn.
The "Battle of Sarah" has already been lost by the MSM, I mean, Democrats.
Sarah Palin is who she is, and a majority of Americans like what they see. The more the eyeball-rolling, condescending, sighing keepers of the liberal flame keep mocking her, the more out of tough they make themselves appear to the majority of Americans who reside in the real world.
Evidence of which is well evident, when even true blue states like Washington (gone blue every election since the 1960s) is within the margin of error for McCain-Palin - and even, for gosh sakes, New York is down to only a 5-point lead for Obammy ... a month ago NY was good for an 1-point lead.
If the Dems lose WA, and let NY stay within single digits, this will be the biggest landslide since Reagan in '84.

aborting the left's future. America is slowly turning right as the left commits suicide by abortion. We should be really careful that they do not gain control and begin aborting the babies of conservatives like they do in leftist China. |

The Electronic Circle jerk with Fey Fey as PIVOT PERSON achieves mas nada renada~ pero los pendejos y pendejas saben the big Nada-to-the-max.This jerk-joke is offered in honor of their Great Polymath-Cummunicators:the Biggest Jerks the Demo-Cong have ever COME UP WITH: BHO and Mojo-Slo Joe. Ontological onanism is their downlow slick and their MSM lackies do not know that they are literally about to be brought to their knees in the nation's next REALIGHNMENT ELECTION.(Which they would love to abort if the could~too late YOU BECOME WHAT YOU BEHOLD.) I find this whole election and the medias read on it to be both funny and frightening. They really don't have a clue. This is a great ad and illustrates why they are going to win in November. Over at nancysinsights.com were talking about how the media doesn't get it. Its going to be a rough election night for the msnbc folks thats for sure. |

the repeal of Glass-Steagall which his buddy Phil Gramm was behind?
And people who would vote for Palin probably don't watch SNL.
Nevertheless, Tina Fey's impression was spot on!
Just the right combo of Marge Gunderson and feminazi. |

The Economic issues today require that we (Republicans) get on top of it and let the Folks know that we have a plan to fix it, or at least, control the fall-out.
These are bad times: Economic down turn, War on terror, Nat'l Security, taxes, education, etc.
Who do we want to lead us through this forest, a "community organizer" or proven leaders with experience.
Go McCain/Palin.
Winning is within our grasp! |
