Palin Wants VP Slot (We Should Be So Lucky...)

As you may recall, I'm a fan of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
In this clip, she tells Chris Cillizza that, why "yes, I would" like to be VP. In a world where all the potential VP picks have to fib about not wanting the job, it's truly refreshing that she's up front about it. (The GOP could do a LOT worse, too) ...

to see this Alaska Ice Cat be McCain's VP choice!!!
1. She is HOT! 2. She has executive experience (YIN) to balance out McCain's Senator POW (YANG) 3. She will pick up the bitter shrew woman vote after Barack HUSSEIN Obama rides Hillary hard and leaves her and her followers up to dry (they will ditch the Dems out of old bitter woman spite)
I would also like to see Palin replace Sam Waterson on Law and Order. She could play Jack McCoy's role (albeit as a woman). |

"McCain is the only one who can beat Hillary", oooppss. Obama 51%-McCain 41%, latest poll, Joe. I'm sure you'll keep us posted. |

Cranky old buzzard is a tough sell. |

Hardly any posters these days. It would seem nobody's excited about McCain anymore except Matt Lewis.
Rasmussen has some numbers out now showing the delegate count. It does not look good for McCain. Even if all of the current toss up states went with McCain he would still lose. This is yet another wake up call likely to be missed by McCainiacs who can't figure out that Republicans cannot win by acting like Democrats.
We need a bold conservative who is not afraid to sell conservative principles to the public. This is how we win hearts and minds. This is how Reagan managed to be so popular. This is why Bush, Jr. has managed to be so unpopular. We need another conservative revolution that reenlightens the American society of truths that are being hidden by the liberal elites in both parties. That the free market is the purest form of democracy. That high moral standards produce stronger families and stronger societies. That America is great because of its freedoms, not its beaurocracies. That socialized programs and regulations take power away from the people and give it to politicians. That the primary role of the Federal government is to protect the states. Who is championing these causes anymore? It would seem neither party is at the moment which is why McCain will lose badly along with the Republicans in November. How the mighty have fallen in such a short period of time! |

I thought you were talking about MICHAEL Palin, then I realized he's not eligible to run, and was very disappointed.

Oh and Virginia Patriot, you used to make rational contributions to the debate on TH and other sites, but now you are all sour grapes. Given that the cranky old buzzard is all we have and that he is head and shoulders above the alternatives, you need to grow up! |

Geez, I’m not real impressed with this clip. Sarah’s not really articulate in laying out her thoughts. Her hair, jewelry and fleece jacket were distracting. It was like watching an episode of Northern Exposure than an interview with the governor of Alaska. Although, I wasn’t a fan of Romney’s, I’d take Romney any day over Sarah, if this clip is any indication of her presence.
As another VP suggestion, I’d suggest you take a look at Jon Huntsman, Jr., governor of Utah. He’s articulate, attractive, speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese. Prior to his governorship, Huntsman served as a White House staff assistant in the Reagan Administration, U.S. ambassador to Singapore in the administration of President George H.W. Bush, and as deputy United States trade representative in the George W. Bush Administration.

Of the last 6 polls on realclearpolitics.com, three have McCain over Obama, three have Obama over McCain. Don't get too excited (or discouraged) about one poll on one day eight months before the election. |

Are you a fan 'cause she's the hotttness? Ha. |

I also believe that when Obama comes face to face with McCain, he will have to address the issues beyond that elusive carrot of hope and change. After all, hope and change are meaningless, unless he can validate them with something more than just words! |

...that you'll almost never hear from other politicians--more cautious politicians--is: frequent praise of God, and requests for prayer. It's very refreshing, and a little shocking that you can still find it in the public square. That was awhile ago. Maybe they've beat it out of her by now. |

Matt,
You can't be serious.
Palin will be a prospect as a VP candidate in the future, but she shouldn't be this year. Same goes for impressive Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal.
One of our major drumbeats against Obama is that he's inexperienced---now how can we justify hiting him over the head for being "inexperienced" if we go and put someone (Palin) with LESS EXPERIENCE than him on our ticket ?
Come on, now.
We need to put someone experienced like Sanford (as you've mentioned recently) on the ticket. |
|
please say it ain't so, Sarah! let her govern for two terms to build up a resume of successful conservative Republican governance, then let's ask her to run for national office in 2012 or 2016...

Sarah Palin, aka Sarah the Incompetent, Queen P, Chavez in drag, proposed and pushed through the largest socialistic inspired raise in taxes, in the history of the world. She supports the idea that the State can seize the property of private industry aka oil producers in Alaska if they don’t do what she wants. She has attacked almost the entire Republican majority in the house and senate. She just recently tried to oust the Republican party chair at the annual convention. And, Parnell announced that after providing no service to the State of Alaska for 18 months in his present position as Lieutenant Governor, he decided to run against the incumbent, and senior Senator Don Young. He did not even has the class to give him a heads up. Another sophmoric event..Sarah stood by and giggled when a radio shock jock called the Republican President of the Senate a “b****” and “a cancer”. Sarah also threatened to support Democrats running against Republicans, if they did not support her tax and spend policies. She did live up to her threat! There is NOTHING conservative or pro business about this fulfillment of incompetence, Sarah Palin! She would be a disaster in any political position. This woman has no self control and is full of folly. And, it seems unbenounced to the State of Alaska, she announced she is 7 months pregnant w/#5. That is most of her first year in office. She is now over her head..pregnant.
