Rope a Dope?

The White House reports that the President's reproach of those who appease terrorists was aimed -- if at anyone -- at Jimmy Carter.
If the Bush people had intended to play rope-a-dope, they couldn't have done it better.
After all, what does it say about Barack Obama -- and the entire Democrat Party establishment -- that they would mistake a rebuke of Carter's terrorist coddling with a critique of Obama's views on foreign policy?

It was a very clever way to sucker Obama into a trap where he has to defend Carter's recent trip. Make it look like Carter was there twisting the arm of Hamas on behalf of Obama for their coveted endorsement. Mission accomplished. |
|
Another lame, non-credible bowl of nonsense coming from the White House. You are a mouthpiece for a pack of liars, Carol.
It's utterly reprehensible for a president to criticize other Americans from a foreign parliament. He needs to apologize. Oughta be impeached for his war crimes anyway. It ain't too late. |
|
But Obama doesn't defend Carter's trip, PP. He criticized it. It looks like you've swallowed another lie.
Face it, Carol, the only way to get any traction on the Dems is to twist and lie. |

Obama and other Democrats mistook Bush's rebuke of Carter for a rebuke of Obama. Their policies are the same and names weren't named.
This is hillarious!

No President in our nation's history has a more dismal record on Foreign Policy than Little Boy Bush.
For him to be wagging a self-righteous finger at anyone (Dem. or GOP) is laughable.
President Obama will have to undo and repair a Foreign Policy that has alienated our friends and made new enemies.
You're doing a heck of a job, Bushie! |

Obama looks like a total fool on this one. In fact, the entire Dem Party looks like they fell into a trap. I think it's hilarious. This campaign year is like watching two clueless windbags groping in the dark while repeatedly tripping over their pants at their ankles. |

Obama is the Orwellian man of our times.
If Obama claims he doesn't fit the description of President Bush's characterization in his speech to the Knesset...then WHY did he believe that President Bush was specifically referring to him ?!
Ha, ha, ha. That's classic.
Next thing you know, the President will make a general speech (without naming names) where he says that baseball players who use steroids have shamed the integrity of the game, and Barry Bonds will 'pull an Obama' by claiming that the President is attacking his integrity. |
|
Goat says: President Obama will have to undo and repair a Foreign Policy that has alienated our friends and made new enemies.
Obama's not going to win beyond the Democratic nomination, to win the general election, unless he increases all voting demographics significantly with the exception of the Dem American Black voter, where he's seizing more than 90% of the vote. As the primaries have continued, Obama’s demographic numbers have fallen with key Democratic constituents, and if he can’t rely on key Democratic voters in the primaries, he will not convert moderate to conservative voters to his camp in the general. |

Lets see you claim Bush has the most dismal record, lets look at Carter's diplomacy (appeasement), Iranian hostage crisis, Failed rescue because of lack of coordination of military Forces from the white house, 10% Unemployment rate in the U.S. Fuel Shortage & energy crisis, Long Gas Lines, the list goes on. |

contributing armed forces to the Coalition in Iraq. These 21 countries were: Albania, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Poland, Romania, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. The additional four countries were Japan, Portugal, Singapore and the Ukraine. Fiji was contributing troops though UNAMI and that Hungary, Iceland, Slovenia, and Turkey were assisting with the NATO training mission. Seems to me we still have friends and new ones from the Former Soviet Union that helped us. By ducking and running as the Dems want we lose alot of credibility.

Just chuckling over the lefties on this post who attack Bush for saying appeasement has not worked and never will. Wake up and look at what Ahmadinejad, Hamas leaders and Assad in Syria say. Why don't you take their words at face value as they themselves intend them? Carter in 2008 and Pelosi in Syria last year should not be undertaking to conduct U.S. foreign policy, which is probably illegal for them to do anyway. Bush is our President, and he is telling the Knesset, echoing Arial Sharon, that appeasers will not help bring peace to the Middle East -- they will make the prospects even more distant. Keep up the entertainment, both you clueless lefties and your beloved politicians! Obama's anger was hilarious. |

Iran is bad. They fund Hezbollah and Hamas, threaten to expand its nuclear program, and we think they may be funneling weapons into Iraq. They are the root cause for many of our troubles in the Middle East, and there is no doubt that they are the big winners of the war in Iraq. So if we aren't going to talk to the leaders of that country because "we can't dignify them with the presence of the office" (that's a very lame excuse btw), then what are we going to do? Sit back and do nothing? Bomb Tehran? Invade the country with our half-way broke military force? Do you really think we are going to get any support from the rest of the world for any of this after the mess we created in Iraq?
Hamas won free and fair elections that were held under great international over watch. Does that mean we should talk directly to a terrorist organization? No. But that does say something for what the actual people in the Occupied Territories want from their government, and apparently they like Hamas. We have to deal with that.
Think about it. After five-plus years in Iraq fighting our hearts out, Iran and al Qaeda are much stronger and we are much weaker overall.
This isn't working. Wake up America. |
