The result: the Obama troops attempted to cover up Obama's truthful 'slip' about his intent to redistribute the wealth by trying to discredit Joe the Plumber, the man who had the audacity to ask Obama the question.

There were so many clues this was a prank. First of all, he misnames the PM of Canada (Palin shares a border with Canada and doesn't know the name of their prime minister!! He says that Quebec has a prime minister (provincial governments in Canada don't have prime ministers), and then gives the name of a comedian.
Saying he can see Belgium from his house??!! And that doesn't make her aware that this is a prank? Saying that the French equivalent of Joe the Plumber is 'Marseille the guy with the bread in his armpit'?
And the way she giggled through the old thing was so childish. She was acting like a teenage girl, not a potential head of state.

To be honest, after a coupla months of Palin, we have had a true and terrifying glimpse of McCain's decision making abilities, his inability to admit to a grave mistake, and his unwillingness to make corrective moves.
Couple the above with the despicable disrespect he showed to the Alaska state government by sending an army of lawyers to meddle in Troopergate, and you have an emergent picture of a man totally unsuited for ANY public office, much less the Presidency.
Perhaps if he had sent Palin back to Alaska, and apologised to the Conservative constituency for making such a dismally kneejerk response to his early low poll numbers and unpopularity with true Conservatives, one could almost consider him an honorable and worthy choice for President. But as each passing day goes by with Palin making such a jackass of herself and the McCain strategists, 'ol Johnny boy just keeps cooing adoringly about her. A certain intellectual who went to Columbia and then Harvard Law thinks it's okay to double the capital gains tax even though it will hurt the economy because it's "fair." He also wants to force taxpayers to pay for abortions. Now it comes out that he wants to force companies to raise energy prices because he thinks it's best for America to go to alternative power sources. We're too dumb to do that on our own so we'll have to be forced to do that through high energy prices. I think this video makes clear that Palin doesn't have everyday wisdom. The whole thing went right over her head and she was shown to be a fool. Just think about it. Sure Palin has some accomplishments under her belt, but they have been exagerated beyond recognition. The truth is that Palin was chosen for her gender and religion. If she were a he, no story.

She doesn't need to know everything, but she needs to know something! It doesn't appear that she's spent even one day preparing for the job she's been angling for for over a year. She figured she would win on persona, as she has always done in the past. It's the height of arrogance to think you can wink and charm your way into the White House. Its exactly what Obama has done. Also, Romney and Jindal beat Palin by miles. Both men are experienced, intelligent and capable. Both of them haven't sat on their butts and talked, but have huge accomplishments in public service.
Palin has been gov less than 2 years. She has one accomplishment, and that is the pipeline. Good for her, but it's not enough to base a presidential run on. And she has given the MSM volumes of material which they will use to prove she's unqualified, including ethical lapses that don't fit with her anti-corruption image. Apparently she's good at pointing fingers, just not on herself.
