Sony's Legacy Recordings, which owns all of Jackson's unreleased tracks, probably has more material than any other deceased artist in history, including tracks from MJ's classic 1979 "Off the Wall" and 1982's "Thriller," as well as songs co-recorded with the Black Eyed Peas, and will.i.am. There's also a music video that Jackson just shot from June 1 to June 9, which will be edited by the end of this month and released by an unspecified date. Thrilling!

Wynton's reaction to anyone (especially someone who calls herself CPL) speaking for him.

you are an old fart....you no more are a Marsalis fan than you are a Moby fan.
And I'm a straight female, no matter what you and your ilk seem to like to characterize people you disagree with.
You also don't 'get' it...Marsalis was a Jackson fan because of people like you...bigots. You all hate that concept...you know, you think that black people think OJ is innocent. They don't, they just are not about to let white folks like you call him a murderer when you couldn't convict him using your own criminal laws, just as KKK types were not convicted in the south.
Michael Jackson was brilliant--tragic. Many in history were both, whether Hemingway, Marvin Gaye, John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Billie Holliday, F.Scott Fitzgerald, Van Gogh....we live in a country that is supposedly one of laws. Yet, people like you want to imprison 'terrorists' without ever charging or trying them, and you want to convict people of crimes they were found not guilty of. You want to deny gay people their equal protection right to marry, yet you think it is just fine for people to commit adultery and divorce (at least you take no steps to make it illegal).
Marsalis was a 'brother', and he sure as heck is not going to let some old white fart like you vonryan diss his brother.

vonryansexpress has just written the first truly intelligent, thoughtful posting I've ever read on Townhall!
Yep, Marsalis is a genius -- as much as Satchmo or Ella. I've heard him live and he's just brilliant. |

After the fact rationalizations, done at eulogistic moments never reach the level of contemporaneous statements. Just stick to promoting the gay travel information you sought to tar and feather Mark Sanford with … it’s what passes for personal knowledge with you. ------------------------------------------------ COLDPLAYLOVER writes: Wednesday, June, 24, 2009 1:25 PM warning...a bit risque http://gawker.com/5302039/things-to-do-in-buenos-aires-with out-your-wife

I guess you needed to find an african american you wanted people to think you admired who didn't admire Michael Jackson...but you had to go back 25 years, and didn't check more recent things....
"Marvin Gaye was sophistication and smoldering sex, while Stevie Wonder was 'all-music' with virtuosic vocals and community uplift. James Brown was the universe. Michael Jackson was the young James Brown. He would assume the throne. He could dance, sing, was soulful (as much as that can be attributed to a kid), and possessed that indefinable magic- a charisma that only the elect possess."
Vonryan...you are such an idiot.

On the night of Michael Jackson's (and more importantly,) Quincy Jones' great accolades for the "Thriller" album, there was one serious 'discord' heard in the audience.
Wynton Marsalis, upon taking both the Classical and Jazz Grammy's that year, (a feat he'd accomplished the year before as well) said with a cutting intensity and disdain to Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones, "I am proud to belong to a music form that is beyond enforced trends and bad taste."
How true it was. The jazz prodigy speaking of great "Jazz" and casting down his gauntlet before Mr. Jackson, who dared not pick up that 'glove.'
Before anyone careen into oblivion over Mr. Jackson as an artist, think a moment of that Grammy Ceremony 24 years ago and Wynton Marsalis' view of Mr. Jackson that celebrated night.

that you don't read the articles you post which even when it has nothing to do with misleading people for political gain
"The details of who owns Jackson's unreleased music and concert footage are not entirely clear. Sony Music declined to comment. A person involved with the label who requested anonymity said no new projects or compilations are being planned yet." |

why not? Do you want the kids on welfare? Or are you only concerned about the pre-born? |
