Hill's Best Friend is CNN?

CNN has long been called the "Clinton News Network," but after last night's debate, many today are asking if the name is more than just a joke reserved for Republicans.
If you watched the debate -- or even just saw clips -- it was obvious that the audience was stacked with Clinton supporters who not only applauded her -- but booed any criticism of her.
Now, I'm not speculating that CNN helped "stack" the audience in her favor -- that would be conspiratorial. But CNN clearly broke protocol by allowing the audience members to applaud and boo. Traditionally, a moderator will order the audience to keep quiet. That did not occur last night.
In football, you've probably heard of "the 12th man." Well, last night, Hillary definitely had home field advantage. I can't think of another debate, ever, where the audience was allowed to take control of the debate to this extent. By allowing this to occur, CNN was essentially helping guarantee a Hillary advantage.
So why was it allowed to occur?
As you'll recall, after the last debate, the Clintons actually threw some elbows at moderator Tim Russert. At the time, I speculated that their attacks on Russert were meant as a warning for other moderators. Could it be that Wolf got the message?
According to Drudge:
CNN debate moderator Wolf Blitzer did an 'outstanding' job in Vegas, a senior adviser to the Hillary campaign said early Friday. 'He was outstanding, and did not gang up like Russert did in Philadelphia. He avoided the personal attacks, remained professional and ran the best debate so far. Voters were the big winners last night.' ... But it wasn't enough for CNN to help Hillary during the debate. By booking pro-Clinton "independent analysts" like James Carville and David Gergen, they ensured the post-debate spin would go her way. Obviously, both Carville and Gergen have worked for Bill Clinton -- Carville in the campaign and Gergen in the Administration. How on earth could they be deemed to be impartial analysts?

Budbud,
Thanks for pointing out the obvious, "if you don't like CNN - don't watch". Glad to hear you and your mommy don't watch Fox... although some how Fox (cable news) has dominated CNN for the past 5 years, even without your participation! Wonder HOW that is?? Hmmm... could it be more Americans have chosen to watch Fox and turn off CNN??
The reason many conservatives are frustrated is because we expect our public debates, hosted by a MSM outlet, to be free of blatant manipulation and misrepresentation (by the MSM outlet). We EXPECT the candidates to mislead, dance, waffle. But scripting audience member questions, calling hand-picked DNC plants, "undecided voters" is unethical. And when confronted with the truth - CNN ignores and hides.
But hey - you keep enjoying your daily kos ..er.. I mean DOSE of CNN. |
|
Oh lord. Here we go again. The Clinton News Network etc.
CNN gladly reports any and all of Hills mess ups. When Bush or the GOP is in hot water, Fox starts endless coverage on some distraction story, like the latest missing blonde.
I'd say CNN is far...less partisan than Faux "news" and its endless parade of neocon talking heads passing off neocon ideology and opinion for news.
If you feel CNN is biased, don't watch it. I sure as hell don't watch Fox. In fact, Fox News is locked out on my digital boxes, so that no one in the house accidentally stops on Fox and gives them any ratings. It's also blocked at my 64 year old mothers house. I told her why I blocked hers and she said good. |
|
CNN's betrayal of the public's trust and manipulation by scripting supposedly "undecided" voters' questions is outrageous. Adding insult to injury - CNN refuses to acknowledge their complicity in the "political theater" which was to be an honest debate.
I have emailed the Republican canidates urging them to boycott CNN's You-Tube Debate. Until CNN is compelled admit the truth, the Republican Candidates should extend the same courtesy to CNN that Democratic Candidates bestow to the Fox News Debate.
If you agree - email the Republican Candidates voicing your opinion too. |

and no one asked the most probing question of Hillary, "If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?" Enquiring minds want to know! |
|
That will fall under the "parody" column and will be exempt.
The ones they will have the problem with is NPR/PBS. It would take 50 years + to balance that act.
Shameless is a trait of the left. Thats how they justify the double standards all the time! |

...if people are throwing marshmallows at you.
Her suit, if manufactured in China, may really be made of asbestos. |

Looking at the list of recent comments to blog entries, I caught sight of "bated" breath. It is so completely refreshing to see there is someone out there who can write the word as though it did not refer to fishing.
Of course, it used to be written as "abated" breath, but allowing for the living, changing nature of our language, the "a" was dropped.
As long as it's "merely" the nature of our language, and not the nature of our Constitution that is living and changing, I'm happy.
Sorry to diverge from the subject matter at hand.

...for Hillary to do an interview with Lou Dobbs or Glenn Beck. I didn't say I was holding my breath, however. DD |

Written as Letter to the Editors yesterday
It didn’t hit me until today. I attended Thursday’s CNN Nevada Debate for Democratic candidates held at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas. I was the fly on the wall next to the upper crust of the corporate and political hierarchy—not just from Nevada but elsewhere in the country.
I’m not sure why I was fortunate enough to get a ticket. No matter. Most of those attending were dressed for the donor’s dinner after the event. It explains why the audience was made up of well heeled, corporate and political movers and shakers, some actors, the target audience of undecided voters, and me.
I sat next to two young couples with Bono’s One Campaign. Whenever we clapped for our candidates, most of the audience remained quiet. The main audience savored every word Hillary Clinton spoke and jeered when John Edwards mentioned lobby and corporate campaign money.
Here’s the rub. Americans thought they were watching a debate with an audience from Nevada. The man next to me was from North Carolina and a lady in the parking lot was from Wisconsin. Include corporate and individual sponsors attending from all over the country. This left the entire television audience blinded to the reality of who actually occupied the seats at our state’s first CNN debate.
Is this a democratic process? Corporate audiences get to cheer on their corporate candidate? Where was the middle and poor classes of Nevada--outside as usual?
|
|
Didn't I hear Edwards mention corruption in his comments on Hillary's contributors.
If he had a pair he would do more than tiptoe around questions of the corruption that was the very essence of the Clinton's White House years. |
|
Blitzer proved to be a sheep in Wolf's clothing, but I suppose that was predictable. CNN being it's usual CNN self.
|
|
|
John Edwards pointed out at the Las Vegas debates Wednesday night that Hillary Clinton is taking contributions from special interest groups (maybe in kindness he failed to mention that she is also taking contributions from known felons). There was a lot of booing from the audience. The next day CNN was saying Edwards was booed for his comments. I have followed this in several blogs and discussed it with others and the impression most of us got was the boos were toward Clinton for taking the contributions, not toward Edwards for pointing it out. Her accepting the contributions has been in the news enough that no one should be upset with Edwards or anyone else mentioning it. The Boos were directed toward Hillary, not Edwards! |
|
Seems to me i used to watch cnn a fair amount and it was reasonably unbiased. And wolf blitzer was some kind of journalist. Long, long time ago. He might think about changing that name: it was kind of cool before, now it's silly, given his abject cringing in front of the clinton machine. And i'm not sure why clintons do it, apart from the fact they can. surely they must know it will fall apart when she actually has to confront people for real. Isn't it best to prepare for that? |
|
We have a tendency for denial in our politically correct (PC) society and we can't see things for what they are some times because there are so many lies and deceptions placed before us by the socialist media, the communist news network CNN is playing favorites with Socialist Hillary, what's so surprising about that? We need to rid ourselves of socialist news media as part of freeing our country of the PC tyranny of the socialists among us.
Townhall.com is surely a breath of fresh air, We deserve to be more than a barren wasteland, that is the goal of the socialists and Hillary Inc. |

As part of the Fairness Doctrine, wouldn't the Jon Stewart show have to go? |
|
|
I agree! Train her in softball. If she's the nominee, she'll have to play hardball. |
|
Folks living in states that still believe in and honor the 2nd Amendment: Get moving on that next gun purchase! If Hillary gets in, she'll march into the National Archives w/ her experienced shredder Sandy Berger, pull the X-ACTO Knife from her pocket and proceed to remove the 2nd from the Constitution. Once that's gone, all road blocks to far left tyranny will vanish, and we will all become the new slave class, depending on the masters in DC to give us our daily bread. The only thing stopping them now is an armed and suspicious population.
Remember .. A vote for Clinton is a vote for tyranny. |
|
|
Of course, Wofie was in the pocket of Hillary's pantsuit.. So shamefully predicable.. |
|
|
Big Daddy War Bucks, soon we'll have Big Mama Thighs and the Carbon Offsets. |

Check out this Hillary video on youtube. It's a spoof of HBO's CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM making fun of Hillary and Hollywood liberals.

IA GOP Poll Posted by TOM BEVAN | E-Mail This | Permalink | Email Author New Rasmussen poll of Republicans in Iowa (Nov 12, 825 Likely GOP Caucus Participants, MoE +/- 3.5%) showing Mitt Romney extending his lead to 13-points as Fred Thompson falls back:
Romney 29 (+4 vs. last poll Oct 10-14) Huckabee 16 (-2) Giuliani 15 (+2) Thompson 14 (-5) McCain 6 (nc)
Well was exciting while it lasted but Rasmussen is the most accurate pollster alive. he also just did a poll that found Romney the most conservative (which got zero press).

The machine vs. us, and the machine wins. |

Talisman? That's like a dead monkey's paw on a lanyard, right? Must smell nice.
Those sputtering idiots better than any GOP candidate? Please. Ron Paul, and that's a maybe.
When class warfare, tax/spend, Bush bashing and appeasement are all you have, well, that's not much.
Hillary and Obama are the 2 dems that matter. Rudy and Mitt are the top 'pubs (sorry Fred-heads). You take yours, I'll stick with mine.
|
|
I like and it's all yours!
Save the US, keyboard a LIB! |
|
You can have my pc when you can pry it from my cold, dead hand.... Hey, I like that.....! Is that taken....?? |
|
The problem is can the working class afford this. It might play well on the blogs, but, how many of us will have to turn over our P.C.'s as they will fall under the abuse of the "Fairness Doctrine?"
I can't wait for Election season to begin. May be our last chance to speak our minds whithout fear of audit or intimidation!
p.s.
Woof Snitzer heal. Good lapdog! |

There will never be any story that will pass across the screens/desk of CNN that puts the Clinton's in a bad light. Wolf Blitzer is just another Clinton campaign staffer in the public affairs section of Clinton Inc. CNN has lost all credibility as a 'news' network last night with that pathetic debate. As others have noted, it was packed full of Clinton supporters that booed on cue, read scripted questions and were coached with audible whispers when they faltered on their questioning of the candidates during the sit-down period. The whole thing was a shame of real American politics, values, and morals. But what does one expect of a Socialist organization? |
|
Campbell Brown was going to a fast ball right down the middle, and then didn't. Punked out.
Did it look like she put on some weight? |
|
|
CNN did a TERRIBLE job last night! Not that I am surprised. Wolf Blitzer is a joke. Tim Russert is a model moderator, who did an outstanding job. A moderator should demand the candidates answer the actual questions. |
|
Annoint her Queen for 8 years so we can have an end to global warming, "free" health-care for all, peace in the middle-east, 2.00 gallon gas, etc...
First thing she will do is blame three of the previous four administrations for everything that she doesn't "fix." Guess which one(admin.) she'll spare.
Bush is not my favorite CINC, but I have never seen him point a finger at his predecessor |
|
Now that Hill is back in the slow-pitch batting cage, she can busy herself with pats on the back about how good a campaigner she is. A battle-hardened Hillary would be a better liar all-around and; God help us, might dupe the average American into voting for her.
Part of me was hoping CNN/Wolf Blitzer could've shown an ounce of professional integrity, but that's okay. A Hillary blinded by her own self-percieved greatness won't see the politcal forearm shiver that will land in the general election.
So please, please, please die-hard Dems-- annoint her your queen for life asap so she is as soft as can be when she has to face something a little tougher than Milque-Toast Blitzer. |
|
|
...This is just a microcosm of the "fairness" doctrine at work. If Hitlery wins, it will become the Law of the Land enforced by the coercive power of her Imperial State. |
|
I didn't think Hillary did that well. I think she didn't give a straight answer on anything. Obama and Biden gave lots of details about their plans. Dodd had passion. Richardson was funny. Even Edwards made some good points. Hillary just didn't come across that well to me and I was surprised by the spin afterwards by the "analysts".
As far as in the general election - what if Hillary just refuses to debate on any forum except CNN? She could do it. She'd still get all her Dem votes. |
|
That will change with the general election debates with the Republican candidate. She won't be able to dodge FOX and Brit Hume then and she won't get the underhand pitches.
She will be smoked out for the flaming liberal/socialist that she is. |
|
Blitz Wolfer is a terrible choice for taking on the serious issues. He should go to work for FoxNews.
Aside from that, every single Dem is a damm sight better than any Rep in this race. Good for us - GREAT choices! |
|
CNN has long been pimped by the Clinton Satanic Mafia. Last night was just another example of their threatening another anchor to bend over and grab the ankles. Of course, it is even easier for them now, since The Bride of Satan, funded by Soros, essentially runs the MSLSD cable news network.
I have thought for a long time that one reason the media is so compliant to Clinton demands is that a lot of those 1100 FBI files that The Bride and her stooge, Livingston, stole were of major media names and anchors and not just their political enemies. I would assume that said media types would rather acquiesce to their demands rather then have any of their skeletons be exposed to the public.
As for having the Creature from the Black Lagoon (Carville), Gergen etc on to spin the debate, it just shows the political incest between the Media and Dems would make a family member from "Deliverance" cringe. |
